I just got the ceramic coating on my car & it looks amazing! Better than new! George & the rest of the staff are very knowledgeable, friendly, & accommodating.

Cleaner, but several missed spots, seems like they only take a look at the specific spots you tell them but not more. The price I paid ended up being higher than what was quoted on the phone. Will try a different place next time.

Took my car in needing the same services discussed in person around 8 weeks ago. George apparently didnt look at my car closely upon initial inspection. Long story short, he had me drop off the car, sent some poorly worded texts not explaining the situation and then decided he wasnt going to work on my car anymore when I asked him a question trying to figure out what was going on with my car.I picked up my car to be called an a##hole by an employee (who told me shes been at this for 40 years). However, after showing her the text message convo between me and George, she quickly changed her tune as it sounded like George wasnt completely truthful surrounding the situation that unfolded with me as I did nothing wrong.Might want to take your business elsewhere unless you like doing weird business. I suppose in his 39 years of experience he hasnt learned to communicate with clients properly or make proper up front vehicle assessments and then follow through when the client drops them off.

They did an amazing diamond coating on my new civic. You can still use my hood as a mirror two weeks later. A few days ago a small rock bounced off my hood while driving and ripped right through the paint, and when I called to see how much it would cost to fix and reapply the diamond coating George (the owner) had me bring my car in right away to fix no charge I just want you to be happy with our work he said. Well I am happy!! and thats why Im writing this review so anyone else looking to protect their car from the Austin sun knows the Wax Shack is 1000% legit, they do great work and their customer service is top tier❤️. Ill see you guys in a few years to reapply the diamond coating!

Car detailing always seemed like a luxury to me until we bought a brand new car with light grey interior. I knew I had to protect my seats and make sure that my family (including 2 small kids) would not ruin it. So, called The Wax Shack to schedule my appointment for a scotch guard protectant. The appointment was quick and painless and so much more affordable than I imagined. Now I dont have to panic about my kids eating french fries or slushes. I even have to brag about the team! They were so nice and accomodating. Dawn was sure to instruct me on how to care for them as well. I highly recommend checking into their services and giving them a call!

Not worth $319.95, maybe a $40 job at best. This is not a detail shop! The pictures speak for themselves showing a lack of detail. It was cleaner, but not detailed. Take your vehicle to the regular car wash for the better deal.

Great service and people. Were able to remove some bad hard water stains and polish my car as the day it came out the lot. Also very punctual and had my car back exactly when scheduled.

I rarely give one star and Ive had good work from George in the past but this time, the combination of damage done to my vehicle and shoddy work have me looking elsewhere.1) My drivers side leather seat had a small tear in it after getting the car back.2) I asked if some adhesive could be removed from the dash and they tried to polish the plastic, making the area stick out like a sore thumb. They just ruined the dash.3) The corners of the Sideview mirrors and the tops of the windows had not been cleaned and show dirt and water spots. This is just beyond lazy and a detail that youd expect in a $300 detailing.4) I had not requested that my headlights be polished but there was obviously a miscommunication. One headlight was polished and almost looked new whereas they stopped halfway through the other headlight. I mean really? I realize youre not going to get paid the $40 or whatever it is to polish them, but if you start the work, finish it so the headlights look uniform.I will not be back and recommend if you take your vehicle to this shop that you have them stick to the very basics. They are capable of producing work that fall apart under casual scrutiny.

I talked to a gentleman here about removing some touch up paint about the size of a quarter, he quoted me $50 for 20 minutes of work. I went to another shop it took them 30 seconds to remove it and they did it for free. However I did give a generous tip for the honesty and great work!

Absolutely fantastic experience! George and the team at The Wax Shack did an amazing job with my black Porsche Cayenne. They were extremely friendly and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. Just okay - lots of swirl marks tbh

Paid $259.90 for an inside auto detail on 8/16/17. I could say a lot, but I think the pictures say it all. Be sure you look at all (16) pictures, especially the picture of the Shop Vac that shows all the dirt vacuumed up by me after the detail.

Wonderful! Great job on the interior and exterior of my car. They also stayed open later than their regular business hrs to accommodate my work schedule so I could pick up my vehicle on the day of service. Thank you!

My Black Hummer had sat outside for for months and needed extensive exterior detailing. The Wax Shack made it look brand new at a reasonable price.

Had a little accident and the owner was able to completely buff out all the scratches in like 15 minutes. I thought one was definitely not going to come out but he got it! Very happy. I would highly recommend getting your whole car done.

I had them do the Clay bar and my truck is shiny and very smooth to the touch! It’s a 2012 and it has that “Brand new feel” like I just drove it off the lot. From my experience with locations like Genies Car wash and detail, you pay a “discounted price” that they try to get you on, and you will leave like you got discounted work and unhappy. Had my car detailed here once. They say they’d clay it and polish it using the machine, but the swirls were still there and nothing really improved. They said they are capable but I wouldn’t really count on them. Paid like $200 for nothing. I’m never going to take my car to this place.

I had new leather seat covers installed and the company recommended the wax shack to do some carpet cleaning for me. Took it there on the weekend and got right in early in the morning and they did an excellent job cleaning the carpets. I had taken it to another place and basically all they did was wet the carpet and vacuum it. The wax shack did a much better job with professional tools and equipment and the carpet looks great! Thanks for a good job!

If you have a black paint thats faded and lacking that new car shine plus swirl Marks the wax shack is the place to go . While I washed my car often I think I only waxed it once or twice in four years. George and his team made my paint job look brand new like it had just been painted. Its not cheap but considering the overall cost of a vehicle and maintenance its well worth it. Im planning on taking my Harley there soon for the same treatment.

Got their top of the line diamond coat package and initially wasnt impressed and regretted it at first. lots of swirls not that deep glassy look I was looking for. brought it to Georges attention and he took care of it without hesitation and was very helpful in getting it taken care of and even fixed other paint issues after the fact without charging me extra. now it looks like a black mirror and its smooth as a babys butt. I highly recommend this place and they secured my business indefinitely.

George and his team (which includes 3 family generations!) know more about keeping a vehicle looking amazing than most people I have ever spoken with. Wow wow wow! My car looks new again and I am SO excited! I am a mom of two and run my own cookie business. My car certainly took The Wax Shack through the paces! Every crumb and stain is gone, and while I dropped off a big mess, I picked up a new car! Did I mention that I am a tiny bit excited!? Just wow. Everything is clean and they conditioned it beautifully- and I love that they dont use the greasy stuff on the inside but instead just leave it looking new. Its UV protected, and I am a total believer that they really do use Q-Tips! Theres no other way it could have gotten this amazingly clean. Thank you George and crew!!! George and his team made my car look better than when I bought it 4 years ago. Unfortunately I waited until selling it to take to him. It looks as good as any car on a dealers lot. I will refer anyone I know looking for great quality at a fair price to go to The Wax Shack!

Doesnt even deserve the one star. Rude owner, tried to oversell me services I didnt need for my 1 year old, very clean car. I had a few issues I wanted taken care of, but he wrote a price down of $299 without even looking at my car first. The price was not really my issue though; I found him aggressive and intimidating, and when I tried to ask him questions about alternative pricing for a more basic option he told me angrily this place isnt for you and walked away. He was right, I dont give my hard earned money to people who dont deserve it. I went around the corner to Two Brothers and got the things I needed perfectly cleaned (for less than half the price), by very friendly caring staff.

Very good as far as the detailing, but BUYER BEWARE! Get your quote in writing. I called for a quote over the phone. George told me $179.99. I asked if there was a lower priced packaged. He said no, as he doesnt do what others detail shops do, which according to him, is to tell a lower price on the phone then tell you more has to be done when you bring in the car. Well, what he does is worse. He sold me on the phone by saying all the great things the $179.99 would include and it would be of the highest quality. The thing is, when I picked up the car (which did look great), he presented the bill of $279.99! Yes, $100 higher than the phone quote. I said I was surprised because I expected $179.99. He said he had told me the options and I agreed to the higher price. I am 100% certain I never authorized the cost of $279.99. I did not have time to argue as I needed to get to the airport and he had the keys to my car. So I paid and left. So again, the car looks great, but buyer beware.

Had to detail my vehicle twice, did not remove the hard water spots that i was told wouldnt be a problem and they left white residue from the treatment they used to buff the vehicle in my paint. Which is now baked into the clear coat. Not impressed by the quality especially for such a significant price. When I expressed my concerns to them after the second detail no compromise was made., I will never use them again. Lesson learned.

Theres still some honest people out there. A couple of weeks ago I was at the Hula Hut on Lake Austin Boulevard and when I returned to my car there was a note on the windshield. It has the persons name and phone number I thought this is kind of weird when I got home I noticed there was damage to the driver side door ang get the nice lady paid for the damage. So I took it over to the wax Shack and these guys are absolutely awesome they fix my car within 15 minutes the damage was completely gone! I will most definitely take my car back to these guys for a complete wax job.

They make my paint shine like no one else can, protect my baby girl with only the best, and keep her ageless year after year. Wish I could find a service that offered the same for a girlfriend to keep her young and faithful forever! George, if you start offering comparable services for women, be sure to let me know! In the mean time, I sure am glad I found a detail shop I can trust with my car.

George and his team did a fantastic job on our 2013 Escape. You would never know we had a dog for the past year. The car looks as good as the day I got it from the dealership.Just before the lease expires we will be visiting George again to ensure the best value upon trade-in..

Amazing!!! I left the window open on my limited edition car during a major downpour and it is like it never happened! I expected the price to be just for ensuring there wasnt water damage to the vehicle but they did a full out interior detail on top of saving my car! They really care about their customers. Can not recommend this place enough, I dont think my car has been this clean since I drove it off the lot.

My car looks the best it has since it was brand new! George emailed me early the morning after I inquired about a detail. He squeezed me in at 9am for a BMW Special and engine cleaning.They were done before 1pm, and I dont even recognize the car (in a good way). They polished the paint better than I could ever imagine. They cleaned the leather and engine to a point of perfection, it looks like it came out of the showroom.George let me know the types of products they used and why they use them. I learned a lot, and I gained a great respect for the work and care the team showed me.Ill be back sooner next time, but they sure improved upon my five years of weekend touch up. Im grateful to my coworker for recommending them. Very much worth it.

The team at the Wax Shack did a phenomenal job on detailing my interior car. I had a rodent that created a horrific odor in my beautiful Lexus. The team was able to find the dead animal and eliminate the foul odor. They are super friendly and efficient at their job!!! I highly recommend this place for any of your car detailing needs.

I took my 2007 Volvo V70 for detailing.Positives:Friendly owner, great job on outside, great job on engine, car looks like newInside - one area had food spill. Mostly marks are gone.Owner gave a ride back and forth.Negatives:One area of seat had a rip in leather. I surely did not have that before. Owner denied it. I also did not inspect every nook and corner as I was trying to beat Austin traffic at 4:30 pm!So, check every damn thing. I had to go buy a seat cover and hoping it will solve it for now.There was still a bit of dust inside the cupholders and compartment. Having paid a steep price, I did expect it all wiped out spotless.

George and his team did a Fantastic job! If you have yellowing headlights have them restored here. Its better to get them done before they get too yellow. George is a miracle worker! I can see better at night and my car looks new again. Thanks!

They say that a car is your second largest purchase that youll ever make. Well, if youve ever owned a black car you know that its the hardest to maintain, and a large investment. When black paint looks good no other color can compare. When it looks bad, it looks really bad! I try very hard to maintain the paint on my 2005 C6 Corvette that is all black. Some Vette owners dont drive them daily - I do. A black car and a particular owner is a combination that only the best can satisfy. Thats why Im so thankful that I can trust my car to George at the Wax Shack. Ive posted a picture of my car right after he finished my Black Car Package. The Wax Shack is mobile which is GREAT! So, if you are Particular about your car (did I say I was?), then trust your car to the Wax Shack. If there was a rating greater than 5 Stars the Wax Shack would get them!

I had a terrible smell in my car that wouldn’t go away so I brought my car to George. George was relentless and made sure that the problem was solved and the car came back as clean as ever. Everyone was very kind at the shop. I highly recommend

I contacted George for a detailing. He gave me a list of things he would do during the detail. Including, steam cleaning the engine and cleaning the ceiling. When I dropped off the car, George said it would be 3-4 hrs. 2 hours later I was called and told to come get it. When I got there, the car was still dirty. The door jams had only been half way done, the jam around the trunk actually had mud in it. The engine wasnt clean nor was the ceiling. The headlights hadnt been buffed. The seats were soaking wet. It was terrible. George said he would make it right and I left the car. He did clean the engine, but not the ceiling. The stains are coming back on the seats. I called him about this he said they guarantee their work and to bring it back. THIS WOULD BE MY THIRD TRIP. No mention was made to compensate me for my time. I would not use this place again.

I purchased a 2 year old vehicle that looked to be in excellent condition but I made the mistake of buying it on a day that I had a cold and couldnt smell very well (dont ever do this...) I realized soon after that the previous owner had smoked in the vehicle and while it wasnt as bad as it probably could have been, it was enough to upset me every time I got in the car. I have kids and I do not want them, or myself, exposed to that every day. I was even thinking I might have to just trade it in at a loss if the smell couldnt be solved. I took it to The Wax Shack and 4 hours later - it smelled like a new car! I couldnt believe it and not because of masking agents, because it had actually been deep cleaned and there was no where left for the smoke to hide. Now I actually get to enjoy my new car!

Went here on recommendation of Round Rock collision to polish and buff out a bad paint spot. George the owner was great, took a look at it and was sure he could take care of it but if it didnt work ther would be no charge. Not only did it work, it looked good as new. Also he recommended the proper wax to use given the color and his desire for the best looking black car. Used his recommendation today and results were amazing. Very reasonably priced and will definitely go back ther for my car and my wifes to be taken care of. Highly recommend for anyone who loves to see there car shine like new

I had quarter size holes in the paint after the detail. It cost me $320 and I can still see white swirl marks months after I went here.

We had an entire coffee urn dump over in the back of our car and the fine folks at the Wax Shack were able to work us into their schedule that day. Our car is now cleaner than it was when new! Thanks Wax Shack!

George was a very nice guy and very welcoming I just dont think his employee was briefed on the full details of my car. Considering I have a white car and is still just about brand new. I wanted to get some swirl marks and minor scratches out and put a coat of wax on my paint to protect it. They only buffed out the one scratch I identified even though I told them there was atleast 3 other small ones. I dont even think my car was fully buffed since there are still swirl marks and small scratches easily noticable. For $200.00 dollars I was expecting alot more detail and effort put into this. Very disappointing..will not be returning..

This place is a gem. Georges team does a really phenomenal job. I researched carefully because details are expensive and I worry that its often not worth the price.The reviews I read about Wax Shack checked out, and I can only confirm: its well worth it. My car was covered in swirls, sap, and grime buildup that a good hand wash wont get rid of. Its now virtually scratchless and the appearance of my 2003 Porsche 911 looks brand-spankin new. Ill be back!
