Don’t judge the shop by it’s looks!Ken is an amazing, very friendly guy, and will do professional work on your wheels for a very reasonable price! He’s been in this business for decades and knows the ins and outs of every kind of wheel. I had a cracked rim on my Toyota Camry, and brought it to three other car shops that all said I needed to buy a brand new wheel.Then I finally found Austin Wheel Repair and was absolutely shocked when I saw how spectacular of a job Ken did. It basically looks like a brand new tire, doesn’t leak air at all, and I was able to save hundreds of dollars.

Honestly, I had my concerns when leaving my car to get the work done bc of his location but Im glad I did the work done to my wheels was great! Instead of buying new black Denali wheels for my 2021 Yukon I decided to have my wheels refinished to save time and money. The level of work that Ken applied to my wheels was great and I couldnt be happier, I 100% recommended him for whatever your wheel needs may be. Attached is proof that he is the real deal.

Just got my new Macon’s wheels powder coated and my experience with Wheels recon was amazing! Todd was super helpful, friendly, and easy and the car was done in a day! He even walked with me to catch my Uber lift up near the front of the warehouse area just so that I wasn’t waiting alone. The price was very competitive! So happy with the results.

Ken at Austin Wheel Repair does an amazing job. I went to him because I had two scraped rims on my stock 2015 Kia K900. Since they were chrome painted, no other shop could help me out. I called up Ken, he said he could sand them down and repaint them to match and install and balance the tires I had just ordered, all for under $800. To replace the rims alone would have cost that. We decided to play around with colors and came up with a grey-black look, which I like much more on the car than the regular chrome look. Ken may not have the fanciest shop in the best part of town, but he does great work in a decent amount of time and will work with you on the price. Ive paid close to $400 in the past to get one rim fixed on a BMW, so compared, his pricing is great. I would definitely recommend him, especially if you have a job that other shops cant fix. I would definitely go back to him in the future (hopefully not lol) to fix curb rash or to put tires on. Give him a call.

I had to get some rim rash repaired on a Tesla 3 and it was fixed within one day! Looks perfect, quick work, reasonable prices. I also had a hard time finding the building as its behind the stores right off the frontage road, but the owner was patient with me and helped me find the building. Im very glad I came here and recommend for any wheel work needed!

Ken did a spectacular job truing up my bent forged wheel and refinishing the set to a beautiful Gunmetal grey finish.All 4 wheels refinished, balanced, and mounted, and i had my car back in less than 48 hours.Hopefully I dont need this service again, but I would not hesitate to return to this business for wheel repair/refinish

I seriously thought I was going to have to buy new wheels and now I honestly cant even tell where the damage was. He let me drop it off after hours so that I didnt have to miss work and even went and picked up a replacement tire I purchased at Discount Tire and put it on the wheel so I didnt have to make a second trip over there to replace my front tire. I may have spent a little more here than I would have somewhere else (like 5-10/wheel based on another quote that I got ), but the level of customer service I received here made it worth it. But Kens legit and honest and at the end of the day, thats always going to get my preference.

Nice guy who fixed a dented rim. Discount tire was trying to tell me that id have to trash my rim and buy a new one from them. this guy repaired my rim within a couple days. everything was quick and easythe rim looks way better than before, basically brand new. didnt expect him to polish it up either.it says a lot for my dad to say it was a nice job too.

Absolutely blew me away! I am very meticulous about my car. I had my Stance Wheel repaired here and I cannot even TELL where the repair is. My wheel is a custom, semi gloss bronze. Hard to match....but...It matches the other wheels PERFECTLY! Do yourself and dont go anywhere else.

In a recent rainstorm, I encountered a soccer ball size rock that had fallen from a cliff on 2222. My front right wheel took the rock and instantly lost all air and upon removing it, I could see that the wheel was bent in which caused the tire to deflate. I brought the wheel to AWR around 11am Wednesday and it was literally better than new when I picked it up at 4pm Thursday. Would highly recommend these folks if you have a similar situation! (PS. I forgot to take after-images but the wheel really is as good as new and Im thinking of having my other 3 cleaned by these folks so they all match.)

Ken is a stand up guy, very professional and did what I asked. I had some curb rash on one wheel and a little bit on another and he did a fantastic job covering them both, I couldn’t even tell where the damage was and the paint matched perfectly. If I ever have any wheel issues in the future I’ll be sure to go to him as well as send anybody with similar issues for him to fix cause he did a great job.

Superior Work!! Recommended by a friend of mine that had some rims fixed a few months ago. I am so glad I found Todd at Wheel Recon. My 2017 Porsche Cayenne gloss black turbo wheels were a mess from driving to Colorado to ski numerous times. They were chipped, bent and shabby looking. Todd, re-powder coated the wheels and restored them to better than new. The wheels really look better then the day I purchased the car new.Todd was professional, very skilled, kept me posted as to when my car would be ready and had the four wheels stripped, re-powder coated and back on the road exactly when he said it would be ready. I cannot recommend this small business enough. Todd is a skilled professional and a genuinely nice guy as well. Dont hesitate, his work is top notch! Cant recommend him enough.

Had new wheels arrive to me and one was damaged during delivery. Looked like curb rash out of the box. Minor repair for these guys I’m sure, but I’m sure glad I used them. Wheels looks brand new after a one-day turn-around at a fair price. Can’t beat that! Highly recommend AWR!

Thanks to a recent encounter with a traffic induced unavoidable pothole, I had a cracked and bent alloy rim resulting in my daily driver being down. A replacement rim was a couple of days away as well as extremely expensive . Austin Wheel Repair was extremely courteous and quick - they took the wheel in right away, and were able to make the wheel true, weld the crack (using proper procedures), remount the tire and balance the entire wheel assembly; complete turnaround was less than 24 hours. And at a very fair price.I would highly recommend this place!

Cant say enough good things about Austin Wheel Repair!I went by for a quote and came back the same day to get things started. I had some very deep scuffs on my rims from a curb impact at 50 mph. Ken was confident in his ability to complete the repair. I decided to get my wheels painted at the same time, and received feedback based on his expertise. The job was done quickly, the finished product is top notch, the price couldnt be beat, and Ken delivered 100% on all commitments made!I will be a customer for life!

Turnaround time and Service was not bad. Except I told him very clearly in person and even via text said I wanted factory Infiniti hypersilver color. When I picked up the wheel, with hypersilver even on the receipt/work order, it was basically gunmetal. Not even close to hypersilver. Lost all confidence and went to a competitor to get it sorted quickly and not waste anymore time. Hope he has improved his color matching or QC since then.

Brought in a scratched up Tesla wheel and they did a fast & excellent repair. They also gave the car a wash before they sent it home!! Above and beyond service.

Just called to inquire about potential services and the owner assumed I was calling to complain about work done from a third party regarding my Mercedes and immediately interrupted me rudely to tell me you have to contact them had you listened and allowed me to ask my question you wouldve known that this wasnt the case. Will not be doing business with them. Im big on customer service and my initial impression is he doesnt have any.

Ken is amazing. He has worked on 2 of my vehicles. The first was my 2000 Mercedes SL500 AMG wheel which was super rare and badly damaged. Fixed it in one day and the wheel looked brand new. Then I brought my black Audi Q7 S-Line Prestige in with rare metallic gray 21” split spoke wheels. All 4 were badly curbed by the previous owner. Most of the edges and contours were ground flat. Once again he had them done the next day and they looked brand new. Once I got them back, I was not perfectly happy with the light shade that I chose. I wanted them darker.I called him and told him about this. This is where Kens professionalism comes in. He was not completely thrilled lol but said “Hey, bring them back, I want to make it right, I take pride in my work, I want you to be happy”. We agreed on a number that was absolutely more than fair, he took the wheels back the next day, and had them done the day after that. They were perfect. He also went above and beyond and washed my car, took fine steel wool to my center caps and made them look new. Once again, amazing.Ken is one of those old school guys who cares about his customers and cares about his work. Because of this he is always busy. When you call, know that he runs the whole thing by himself, he is 100% business on the phone and is committed to promptly getting your wheels done the next day. So please be prepared to have a short conversation, have all of your info ready (wheel size, tire size, wheel color, make /model / year of car, picture of your wheel etc) so he can get back to work and get you back on the road happy. 🙏

I took my 20 Rims on Monday to get them powder coated gloss black and they were ready to go by Tuesday Afternoon, The owner (Todd) is a really Cool, Honest Guy the price was perfect. I would really recommend you take your wheels here for rim repair or getting them powder coated.

I called this business to inquire about getting my rim fixed. The man who answered my call was extremely condescending when I asked how the process worked and when attempting to give him the information for my vehicle. I received very poor customer service and will not be trusting my vehicle to them any time soon.

I do not recommend this company. They are rude and extremely unprofessional. He is a horrible human being with absolutely no manners. Please take your business elsewhere.

Austin Wheel Repair did an amazing job repairing a damaged rim. The wheel was as good as new and finished in a day. He even polished and cleaned the other wheels. Cannot recommend highly enough.

How many great things can I say about Ken and Austin Wheel Repair? Let me just summarize by saying he did an awesome job in a timely manner for a very reasonable price. If you have wheel-related work, go to Ken ... but know that he can do much more. I have a BMW Alpina B7, which is an an expensive and rather exotic car, and I try to maintain it meticulously. The wheels are in great condition, but I wanted the brake calipers painted. I went to Austin Wheel Repair because of the good reviews. I wasnt disappointed. Once Ken and I started talking, I presented him with the rest of my wish list, which included getting the brake calipers painted, the front bumper repainted (lots of rock chip damage), and the headlights and fog lights polished. Wow! He did an awesome job! The cars bumper and lights look like the car just came out of the dealers showroom; and the red brake calipers have a deep, glossy shine that looks better than a factory finish. Austin Wheel Repair and Ken are awesome !! Took my 22” wheels by to see why I continually keep getting a flat every 3-4 months in same tire . Ken found the problem within minutes, a leaky valve stem and immediately fixed it within 20 minutes, I recommend Austin Wheel Repair to everyone that has Rim and or tire issues, Ken is awesome !!!!

Great experience! Took the time to repair my rim same day after I hit a curb and received a nasty curb rash on my 24’ inch wheel. He even went the extra mile in giving my car a full detailed washed afterwards. I’ll definitely recommend every chance I get!
