Awesome!!!I came late, but I saw some excellent deals and will definitely be back again. I was searching for a vehicle for my mother on Craigslist for weeks, and came across this auction for the public. They have some good cash cars daily.Mom happy and I’m relieved.

I give them a 5 because they chose to do right and refund me the hard earned money my son saved after we bought a vehicle that ended up having numerous problems that my son could not afford to fix. The owner is a sweet 👨. He didnt even make it hard for me. He said lesson learned right and I said yes! Awesome 👌 They have some nice cars that may need work but are affordable. Bring you a mechanic because they do allow you to check them out before you buy!

Metro Auto Auction has a variety of cars for customers to choose from . There registration process is easy and I love that they take care of tax and title on site. Only thing there really is no where to sit or nothing to eat or drink so bring your own it could take a while to get to the car you are trying to bid on. Overall great experience I would recommend them to anyone.

This is a great place to buy a car, the staff is very helpful and kind. I just bought a 1998 Mercedes C230 and love the car. The staff here goes above and beyond especially George and Rita they informed me about specific cars and was available to answer questions.

People are really nice and helpful. The selection when we were there wasnt what my friend was looking for but Id go back.

Anybody can show up to auction, just as long as you take a valid I.D. it doesnt have to be a drivers license. Easy to register with a $300 deposit and if you dont get anything you get your money back.

There is usually a great selection and the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable tbe area is clean and well kept and the vehicles are clearly marked for easy identification if you have time and mechanical skills its totally worth the time to check this place out.

I have bought at the auction an awesome motorhome. I was not in the market for one but when I saw this great motorhome I had to bid on it. Believe it or not I won it at an awesome price as well. I think it came in about 20k under the value. The staff at metro auto auction are all so very nice and helpful. I had never bid on any items here at this auction else me through the process and it was very simple pay your deposit, bid, drive t home. Thanks Metro Auto Auction for a great deal on my vacation home that Ive been to the lake in twice already this month.

I went to look for a vehicle from a private party sale. Long story short the seller never told me that I had to pay for the Auction fees, owner of the Auction has hearing my concern he talked to me and to the vehicle owner and make it work. I did NOT had to pay for auction fees. Very very helpful. Recommended 100%.

Fast and easy transaction, you can walk around and see what you like. I recommend it, always be shore to inspect everything in the vehicle because wen you buy it and walk out with the car, there is no money back. So always be sure that you inspect everything. Is a good place to buy.

Bad experience . Bought a 2007 ford F-15 lariet. It cranked when I bought it. When I got ready to leave it wouldn’t crank. Had it towed to mechanic. Spent $800 & still not running. Mechanic didn’t know what was wrong. Went by codes & replace. Never crank.

Easy process with a friendly staff.I browsed the website & chose the vehicle I wanted prior to arrival. Once I got there I was able to look at the suv & drive it around the lot. The car drove great from Austin all the way back home to Killeen. So far so good 😊 Thanks again metro auction!

The staff were helpful and friendly while examining the vehicles after my car was totalled in a hit and run. They were even nice enough to pick me up at the car rental agency after I had bought a car.I can highly recommend Metro Auto Auction in Austin if you need to pick up an affordable car and be on the road quickly.

Disappointed. 2 days wasted. Vehicles go for private party or more. If your going to pay private party rates go through Craigslist. You will get to test drive the vehicle at least.An 03 Pontiac that had some issues but overall in good c condition with 150k miles... Trade value 400-650.... Private party 1100 to 1600 they passed up. The started around 700 and got up to 1800 but wouldnt sell it... They say it didnt meet the reserve.... Then why start below the reserve and pay attention folks they. Have an employee/partner bidding on most every vehicle.Nice folks and free water! If you are looking for water or nice people GREAT PLACE! if your looking for a vehicle go to Craigslist or Facebook.

The cars for sale to the public are comparable to consignment. They are as is. These cars sold to public have gone through the auction once. As far as negotiations go you need to talk to staff and they contact the owner and will see if they are willing to take less or whatever. There is not financing. You need to have insurance and they can give you a list of insurance companies you can contact. Call them. Tell them your situation and don’t worry they are very approachable. They have been in business for a good while. They have a very small staff. You can look on Cargurus to view cars they have posted there as well. You are allowed to test drive the cars. You must have your drivers license with you. I bought from there.

If you are in the Austin area and looking for a cheap used car, definitely check this place out. Although its an auction facility, they do sell to the public. Once a month they have an auction, and you can get text or email notifications when its coming up. That said, whats left on the lot after the auction is still for sale, but many of the cars are rough. Thats no problem if you know what youre getting and are good with cars. Another benefit to this way of purchasing is that these cars not are prettied up, so you see the car, warts and all.When we pulled up, a really nice guy came out and helped us. He gave us a price list, which was helpful. We didnt find what we were looking for, but it was definitely a positive experience.

New buyers beware. Everyone was really nice and accommodating. Right now their names have slipped my mind but the woman who processes the paperwork and the man who usually works on the cars. Awesome people. The only reason its a 3 star instead of 5 is because in the beginning I was going over the list of cars with the lady and I felt that it was agreed upon the car I wanted was $3400ish and with taxes and fees I could get out @ $4000. This was not the case and $4205 was the final amount I just wish she was straightforward with me instead of selling me a dream. I had already made up my mind to not leave without a car because I had to take a lyft to get there. I still bought the car but maybe next time put up some signs about fees with and without card or have an atm nearby. Who carries $4000 in their pockets. Not me

First time here and I bought a car! I paid only $425 for a VW that didn’t look like it had much hope. Fortunately the repairs costs weren’t as bad as that could be. I can’t wait to buy my next one here!

Gave a friend a ride up there. Dont know exactly how it works but they do sell to the public and my friend left with a car. I also found one that i was interested in just unfortunately at this time I am not in the market.So if you are looking for a car for a very reasonable price go by and check them out.

I got two car I got a SUV and G35 there been good cars I havent had any problems with them at least they run and thats all I ever expect out an auction to be able to get something that runs yeah they take a deposit and if you dont buy anything you get the deposit back and they have food out there they have water overall was a good experience

Excellent customer service. There to answer your questions. Found a halfway decent car for under $1000 out the door, but I did have to spend a couple hours shopping to find it.

Great people but there inventory of automobiles left alot to be desired out of the only 7 cars that managed to get started 5 knocked like the police at a crackhouse sorry but to me as a man that has been in the automotive industry for 20 years this is a place dealers dump the trades that dont sell on the lot or cars they have repossessed an no they wont make it on another car note...sorry just being honest.

I thought this was a junkyard in the area I visited, and had left a 1 star review. That place had nobody I could find after wandering around for quite some time. I have amended my prior 1 star to a 5, as the owner of this location had a nice way of pointing out my error.There are a lot of car parts places around south south congress area, Im not sure what the junkyard I had visited prior was.

Amazing place. To my surprise, the gate was open and the friendly welcome was just the beginning. My hat off to the gentleman who was back and forth in the heat! He was still courteous and extended assistance if needed.There are alot of vehicles to choose from, and the process appesr to be simple. Free cold bottles of water!

One of the few Auto Auctions open to the General Public, this is a great place to shop for used vehicles. Most of the vehicles - they have cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles & trailers - are donated so there is quite a variety in all sorts of condition.

Good solid quality auction, the fees are a little high but they have to make money somehow. Nice people great set up and if they are a wear of anything with a vehicle day disclose it.

This was my first visit but not my last. Though for any first time car auction wannabes I certainly recommend an umbrella as well as one of those spray bottle fan misters and/or sun screen. Ice cold water was supplied but Id still recommend packing an ice chest with gaterade or similar. I wish Id known that as I was out unprotected from abot 930a - 130p and paying the price for the next few days. Additionally I would say leave the young kids at home or at the pool. There were a number of them there looking pretty miserable early on. The auction went fine and kept a pretty steady pace. With about 250 vehicles it took approximately 3hrs which isnt too bad. The pay out process was long but upon inquiry I found that their regular forms/documents person, Steve, was out for the day (dang it, Steve!) Where his replacement was ... well... trial-by-fire sounds about right... but I was patient as i was finally indoors with A/C! One other and more important thing is to bring a lot of cash or have a very high credit card limit. First off youll need $300.00 to get a bidding number. Its refunded if no winning bids or is applied to your balance owed. My bank closes at 1pm on Saturdays and because an opportunity arose that I jumped on I then had to make a mad dash to my bank before they closed as MAAs policy is all winning bids have to be paid by end of day, 5pm, that same day! Whew! Just made it with my alternate emergency credit card! The staff was wonderful especially the ladies in the office handling the transactions. They were eager to help, friendly, respectful, great senses of humor and overall just outstanding! Brent (owner) and his team are the main reason why Ill definitely be back! Hope this helps, yall!

Very poor service there was no costumers in the building when we came in and it took 30 minutes to get our food and the order wasnt even right theyre very unorganized I will not be eating here again until a change is made
