Called to ask a simple question if their cabs would have a child seat for my toddler. After 3 minutes of rings, someone picks up. No hello, welcome.. just what is pickup address? I told her I want to know if they are capable of having a child seat in a cab for a ride. She abruptly puts me on hold. I waited 5 more minutes and hung up. How does she not know the answer to such a simple question?

We booked a taxi with them to get to an appointment. It was very important for us to be on time for this, so we pre-booked. All was confirmed. When it was time to be picked up, the app notified us that the trip was completed - but the taxi no-showed. We frantically called a ride-sharing service and were late to the appointment.Do NOT use this company if you need them to actually show up. Completely pathetic. Choose another service.

Arranged online for a 4:15AM pickup to take our family to the airport for an early morning flight. Received a confirmation the night before. Called them when they were 10 minutes past our pickup time (4:25AM) and they said “We don’t have any drivers in your area - we won’t be picking you up”. When I asked why they “confirmed” the ride the day before, he just repeated they had no drivers and wouldn’t pick us up. We had to call a friend at 4:30AM and wake them up to ask for a ride. What a disaster! We missed our flight by 10 minutes because our friend had to drive 40 minutes to pick us up and then 40 more minutes to the airport. Didn’t even get so much as an “I’m sorry” from the cab company. Will never use them again and don’t suggest you use them either. They are completely unreliable AND unapologetic. Wish I could give a Zero rating because that’s what they really earned

Imagine you have an early flight. You can to book a cab. The only option is go through an automated service, but you follow the prompts and get a confirmation text that a cab will be there to pick you up at 5:30 am.You wake up. You go outside. Nothing. You call and this time you can speak to someone... But it is very obvious that this someone is in a call center far away.They see your reservation but let you know that they still havent found an available can in my area. How is that remotely acceptable? If that was the case, shouldnt they say so I could make other arrangements? Was I just supposed to wait and wonder? So unprofessional. I wouldnt risk reserving a ride with them.

This company is totally unorganized and unprofessional. I ordered a wheelchair accessible vehicle at 8am to ensure I could get to my dialysis appointment at 3pm in the afternoon. THEY NEVER ARRIVED. They literally put my health and safety in jeopardy.

I used the app over 24 hours in advance because I need a wheelchair cab. They didntt show on time, so I called. They kept giving me a later and later time. Im a comedian and needed to be at an 8:00 show. The producer had to cancel me because I was running too late, so i lost a job. The next day they left me stranded in a location at midnight by cancelling my ride.

My Father is wheelchair bound and needed transportation to his doctors office. Normally he would transfer into our vehicle, however his present issue makes that impossible. Out of desperation, we contacted Yellow Cab and made a reservation for the next day. The time came and it was a disaster. Not only did no one show up at the designated time, but after calling the dispatch I was informed that they DONT HAVE ANY WHEELCHAIR VANS IN GEORGETOWN. As in, we were knowingly and deliberately lied to. To top it all off, they hadnt even sent anyone to our location in the first place! So, now, not only do I have to find alternative transportation and hope that this doesnt happen again - I also have to reschedule his vitally important doctor appointment. Hopefully he wont experience any further health complications before then. Thanks for nothing Yellow Cab.

This was the worst cab experience ever and the last cab Ill probably ever take. This is why I switched to Lyft. The cab was very dirty, cost more than double the price of Lyft, driver acted lost, but was probably racking up miles/$$, and played music super loud. Lyft is the way to go; you know exactly how much it is ahead of time, clean, and they take you to your destination quickly.

3 mile trip home. Uber and Lyft were upwards of $40 tonight.Thought hey lets try out the old school way of going from point a to point b, a taxi!Waited ten minutes. My cab link said the driver was 4 minutes away. Then the driver canceled. I said screw this paid for the Uber to get home. Im home, dogs are walked, and showered and apparently my cab has arrived to pick me up. 🙄I just want a reliable way to get home that doesnt cost a fortune. This is not the solution apparently. I would not attempt to use them again.

I ordered a yellow cab through their App (hail-a-cab) they send me (Mr. D. H) who took long time to reach me, he is a reckless driver who texts while driving, he charged me using his phone pretending the App didn’t send him the money, i wanted to tip him so he charged me the full amount again+tip!! pretending he canceled the first transaction!More over the App charged me as well.I noticed this while i am checking my bank account.I called their (call center!) who took all these details and nothing happened yet, and they don’t have a website to file an official complaint.The worst service ever, think twice before request them.Unhappy customer

Yellow Cab answered the phone -- human! quickly, and immediately sent a driver, two days in a row. Cabs arrived quickly; drivers were experienced and competent.I was at the shop getting my vehicle worked on - turned out a scarce part would not be available till the next day. So, I looked online for a ride home. Tried three outfits Id never heard of - two had a recording, leave a message. And griped that they would rather I had made an appointment the day before. The third had a voice recognition program that kept failing to understand the address. Then, said it was looking for a driver. Twice I called back: it was still looking and cannot give an estimated time.After one hour, I finally went with an old-school company. Yellow Cab arrived, cheerful, in a few minutes. So of course I called them again next morning, soon as Century Automotive (The Best!) called to say my vehicle was repaired. That other alleged cab company never provided a human to talk with and never provided transport. Wonder if their business failed, and no one shut down the automated system? Or bothered to delete them online.Was going to give you the name but what if they sued? People sue for all sorts of oddball things. One financial guy on YouTube, hes funny and fact based both so I listen - Minority Mindset - has stories. He fixes up and rents out houses, in Detroit. And loves to order Extra guac!So this one tenant sued because the bathtub, when wet, was too slippery. Yup. Another chopped veg on the new butcher-block counter, then called to complain of knife marks and demand a new countertop. All this, in Detroit.No wonder the Comm--- never mind. All we need is to want what will produce best outcomes all around, figure out what works, then act. Not always easy to do, but at least easy to remember.I say if you promise to do a thing, like get us someplace, do it; and provide a fellow American with that customer service job. Going cheap with automation, especially poor quality, is losing you customers.Thank you, Yellow Cab!

A Yellow Cab drove up the driveway to our private horse boarding facility this evening. It seemed maybe lost, but I assumed it would turn around in the parking lot if it needed to leave. Let me emphasize that there is a parking area away from the horses and barns. I was getting ready to get on my horse and was watching the cab to see where it was going as it just stopped on the driveway. I start to get on my horse and the taxi drives past the parking lot towards the barn and does a 3 point turn around RIGHT NEXT TO MY HORSE and nearly hit us!!! And then it left the property. Did not pick up or drop off anyone, but it did appear that there was a passenger. Unfortunately I did not get a photo of it or the plates, but it was unmistakably a Yellow Cab. I am extremely livid!!! What if it had been a child or a more reactive horse?? Teach your drivers some common sense!

He claimed his printer was out of paper. nor did he help me with the heavy bags knowing I was disabled. Also had 2 wait 3o min. for him to show They are crooked.The only reason I used them was because I left my cell phone at home and was unable to call Lyft. He also stunk. Like B o.

I rarely use taxis bit when in need I call Yellow Cab. Drivers I like and/or comfortable with I will ask for personal cell #s, simply because calling them directly usually gets a faster pickup. Get to know a particular driver and getting around becomes easier simply because loyalty and a laid back but professional respect for each other can sometimes benefit you if you are short on funds but still need a ride, and dont be stingy with the tips.Drivers know who tip well and who dont, even if its a short ride.

Called for keys stuck inside a client of where i work. They eta was 30 minutes. He waited about 1 hour 30 minutes untill he got frustrated and just went home walking to get a spare. He came back 30 minutes later and taxi was still not there.

The automated system always makes mistakes with your name you never get your cab on time the last time I called you it took four and a half hours to come to my apartment right here on North Lamar I dont think its a good service I think they need to take the automated service all the way off and talk to you directly to the operator so you can get everything correct

A few days ago I needed a small sack of items to be delivered to someone at an Austin hospital. I called Yellow Cab and it came promptly. The cab driver was a man named Said (pronounced saw-EED). I asked him to drop off the sack at the main desk of the hospital. He agreed and said he would call me as soon as he had done so. He called me. A few moments later the recipient called me to thank me. I found out that the cab driver, Said, had made the delivery to the recipients room, himself, instead of just dropping off the items at the main desk. I so appreciated his going the extra mile, and wished I had given Said an even bigger tip than I did. He was great and I highly recommend him.

I had a reservation placed 12 hours in advance for a ride to work. I double checked the day of placing the reservation to make sure I had a ride the following morning at 4:20 AM The office staff said it was set and booked. The next morning 4:20 am came and no cab or ride. I called the office and I was told they could not even tell me an ETA or when a cab would be available. After 2 more calls and the time being 4:58 am I gave up.One thing people have to understand is that this company employs private contractors, meaning they set their own hours. That is fine, but the company should not take a reservation and assure a customer that a ride will be at the proscribed time if they can not or will not make that reservation good. I wound up being late for work and angry that this company is so unprofessional. Hey Yellow Cab if you can NOT or will NOT provide service 24/7 like in your ad, change it. That ad is false and misleading.

Awful service. Nobody arrived at the designated time, reasonable considering the nature of the job but I called ahead to confirm there would be someone there and they assured me I would be picked up with my groceries at the agreed upon time. That time came and went, my next call I was told to wait another 10-15 minutes before calling back. Ok, and what would that do for me? Because clearly the first 2 calls didn’t accomplish anything. Would not recommend this company, get an Uber like a normal person.

When I called back the third time and asked why they keep hanging up on me they said it was because they dont accept payment over the phone. Bad communication.Called for fare estimate and to verify we were in the service area. Great. Came time to make a reservation 2 days later, were told we were out of the service area then changed their mind when I said I called earlier to check. They then said they could send someone and when I asked the fare estimate it was $12 higher. Was not given a confirmation number. Not at all confident that we would get a cab so I turned around and cancelled. At first they couldnt find my reservation then when I cancelled she slammed the phone down. Customer service is non-existent. Surprised theyre in business.

The cab driver paid me my change in counterfeit money. Then when I called to file a complaint the operator began to have a very disrespectful attitude. He was apparently unable to help me because of the fact that I am a handicap and had no type of records of the driver. He barely could speak any English and could care less about my issue. Driver had to get on his phone as soon as we pulled out of parking lot and was so into his phone he drifted into the lane next to us and hit the car in that lane 🙄 I’m trying to get to work on time and SAFELY...I got out of cab and walked back to where we started called yellow cab and another cab came pretty quick I want to thank that driver for being professional. VERY unreliable service. I called for a reservation the day before. One hour after my pick up time, they were STILL searching for a driver. WTH, is this any way to run a business? If you are considering yellow cab, DONT!!! They are not worth the hassle! I had to cancel 2 important doctors appointments in 2 days because of their unreliability! Dont use them! I cant say this strongly enough! DONT USE THEM. (Their office staff was rude as well)

I use Yellow Cab a lot. I usually get good service. They arrive in a reasonable time. They arent cheap, but they arent exorbitant, either. Theyre fair. Today however, I have to let the company know about an exception. About 11 this morning I booked a ride from 12860 Research Blvd. I waited a reasonable amount of time, and my phone rang. I picked it up. Silence. I see the cab coming right toward me. I wave. He drives off.I keep waving. He sees me and comes over. I get into the cab and the driver (520 or 502, I forget which) starts lecturing me that I am a no-show. I am sitting in his cab, where I asked to be picked up, and he points at my phone number and says, This your phone number? I say Yes. Then he says You are a no-show. While I am sitting in the cab. The cab driver, or maybe hes really a phone monitor, I dont know, proceeds to lecture me on the importance of answering his calls in under three rings. Which I did. Its time to try out Uber.

I order the cab at 11:00 pm to have the cab arrive at 11:30, its 11:45, they dont arrive, I call, they say they have someone on the way, its 12:00 AM, no one ever gets here, I call again, theyll be here by 12:10, I call at 12:15 because no one gets here by then, & we decide to just drive there, and if they would have gotten there, they would have called but nope, no one has called, so worst cab service ever. so disappointing. do not recommend this.

I called yellow cab to help a handicapped customer get a ride home. Initial call said someone would be on their way shortly... I called back 20 minutes later and no one was available yet. I called back shortly after, they said someone would yet again, be on their way shortly. I called for a fourth time to be told that a driver was 12 minutes away. Long story short and about 10 calls later nobody showed up. 2 hours of this poor man with a walker waiting for yellow cab! Im absolutely disgusted. I even tried to speak with a representative, who was unavailable, but was given as an option. I wouldnt recommend yellow cab to my worst enemy.

My husband, Billy, called a cab about 10:10 pm Sunday night. We were told one was not coming, but we were picked up about 10:40 pm. It was a wheelchair cab and another cab co said they had none at all. The driver was courteous, friendly and wonderful. It was about a five minute ride home.The only downside is that I left my Samsung flip phone in the cab. I started calling the next day to retrieve it at the lost and found. In the week I have called I have not spoke to a human at lost and found. My detailed message were ignored. No response at all. I really need my phone and do not understand why I have heard nothing. Left my other email. Nothing.

If you need to go anywhere and be there on time this is not the cab for you. They are great at telling you your cab will is only 10 minutes away. They also become very angry when you call to report it has been over an hour without a driver showing up. Cab companies are closing shop at a record pace due to better transportation methods. I cannot wait for Yellow cab to close up.

Tonight I waited 1 hour 20 minutes for a cab after being a DD (friends vehicle). They asked if Id be ready immediately, I didnt realize that immediately was after an hour nap. This is slightly better service then the time I called a day in advance to get to the airport for a 640 am flight, to be picked up two hours before, only to be picked up an hour and 20 minutes before. Do yourself a favor, choose anyone but this. ANYONE

Was a bit worried with the current ratings and reviews. Called 2 other cab companies that have better reviews. After several calls and no answer called Yellow Cab professional over the phone. Came early and got us to airport with plenty of time to spare. Excellent!
