If I could give them a lower review, I would. Told the owner our living situation and she automatically denied us and cursed at both myself and my roommate. Definitely recommend finding another place.

Had a great experience

Bad experience refused to even give me a chance with adopting a dog because I have a child under 5. I have spent my entire life around large dogs between owning, grooming and volunteering at rescues. No where on there site does it state they wont adopt to people with children and they even have articles on there site about how good dogs are for children. Defintly bring your business elsewhere.. I never leave reviews but am stund on how fast they turned me down. Poor doggies could have a great family but they shut down anyone with a child under 5.....

Fabulous rescue! We adopted our Sadie Mae 5 years ago and dont know what wed do without her! Very caring rescue!! The dogs always come first.

Adopted a wonderful bundle of joy this past Sunday! This was our first experience with DMK & we will certainly be recommending the rescue center & showing our support! We were looking for a rather specific dog (breed, size, age, sex, hair color) & saw one on the site, when we arrived they brought out the one we were interested in & the dog was exactly what we were looking for!!! The staff was very friendly & attentive & it was evident the staff enjoyed their line of work (which is always great to see but a rarity these days). Deb was very knowledgeable & genuine; we were truly impressed by her dedication to the cause, she is an inspiration. Her love for animals is undeniable. I adopted my pup here about 9 months ago. He is the most wonderful addition to my home. The staff and care he received while being at DMK was remarkable. I love visiting, I wish I could adopt all their dogs !

I have known and worked with DMK Rehoming since 2010. As a non-profit they rely heavily on volunteer support and as such, volunteers to dog rescues are generally not people persons - dont judge this rescue by a single response. Go visit the facility yourself. I have boarded my own pets with them, I have adopted with them and I have fostered for them. Deb Brinkley is truly committed to this work since its inception. While they originally focused on placing cattle dogs, many other maligned breeds are rehabbed and placed for adoption. Spay and neuter your pet!

Incredible place to adopt a dog from. Travis is truly genuine and cares for all the dogs at the shelter. ADOPT from here you will not be disappointed. Incredibly priced.

I dont like the process they have in order to adopt a dog, if I see one I want I should be able to go and get him/her without going through some lengthy process. Who are they even to decide who the dog goes with it should be up to the dog.

This is the greatest shelter Ive ever been too. Got my newest best friend here and I will be back for more.

A great rescue, they care about their animals. You might not get the shot records right away, this is to keep people from doing things like re-selling dogs. We wondered about this too. Its all about the dog, not all about you.

Where are you guys located I tried to come and its a dog daycare

Our family bonded instantly with a pup after we drove 1 hour to visit him. We were told we had to wait three days after filling out an application. Nobody called us back. After we called them we were told we didnt qualify to adopt a pitbull terrior since we were in the military. We still love the him but we will have to give our love to another pup that is destine to be a part of our family.

They are a very loving home /shelter.travis is a very kind man&will care for your dogs as a family member!

It is clear that they care about each dog in the facility and are great with working with you to make sure the dogs get happy homes.

Seemed like a good place at first. I found my puppy on their Facebook page. After calling for days and emailing them I finally got an email back a week later. They told me they do not sell dogs but they do have a $250 adoption fee for puppies. This fee included all their shots being up to date, microchipped, deformed, and 6 free weeks of training. Sounded like a great deal to. When I went to pick her up I was never gave a record of her shots (which is just as good as not having shots at all) so I had to get all her shots done myself. I called their training to start her 6 free weeks of training and the guy answered and told me that he had a broken leg and would call me to get started when he got better, never got a call back. So I had to pay for her training myself. On top of that they said she was dewormwd but a month after I got her she had a very severe case of rounds worms, looks like she had them for months. So at that point I contacted the shelter and asked why she had worms if they said she was dewormed they replied that they just got the basic deworming medicine for kingsoopers. I could have done that myself. So long story short I pay $250 adoption fee when I did not receive ANY of what was included in it. I love my dog more than anything and I wouldnt want any other dog but I do wish I had gotten her from another shelter. I will never adopt from here again and I do not suggest it to anyone. It is very shady.

Wow my wife just contacted this place about our dog and they basically just told her that we should put our dog down. Some help would have been nice, this place sux avoid at all costs!

There was barely any dogs up for adoption. The place was full of dogs but the man told us they were all boarding and not available. Very disappointing. He couldnt answer any of our questions and was very unhelpful. Sad because I had high hopes for this place.

I did tree work for this guy and he paid well and on time
