**REVIEW UPDATE AT THE END OF ORIGINAL REVIEW*My friend went to this salon to get full balayage. She did not have expectations to get full blonde balayage highlights. She was anticipating needing multiple sessions. Lighting was not the best in the studio so we could not see the results clearly. When she got home she was very upset. The hair dye job was chunky. There is a random bleached spot at the top of her head where nothing else was bleached. She wanted the the top couple of inches her natural color and then a fade into balayage highlights. Staff is nice but definitely not worth the bad experience and disappointment with the results.*UPDATE: we contacted the salon like the owner told us to and when we called they said she was busy and would call back. The next day we still had not heard anything so we called back and was told the same thing. So we waited another day and called again and no one answered.*I am writing this review to give everyone a little heads up and inform you what to expect when spending over $100 here.

My experience at this salon was awesome! They did my hair and nails for my wedding, I felt that I had high priority and that my hair dresser Eric really cared and wanted my hair style to come out perfect, and it did! He has an awesome personality and I would recommend this salon to anyone. I think the lady that did my nails name is Candace, not 100% sure, but she did an excellent job on my hands and feet, Im so happy that this was the salon I chose to do my stuff for my big day, thank you again!!!

A place of elegance and beauty. This place did my wifes hands and feet nails plus her hair and they got her in last minute and were super cheap. This is a place where I expected to get what I paid for and I ended up getting way more. The staff are great and the listen to your requests and do exactly what you want or need and do it better then what you showed them from a picture. I am so happy with how well they tailored to my wifes needs and wants and how they really made her feel like a queen each visit. Thank you so much and to you dear reader I ask you please go and see and you will find my words not only to be true but that this place exceeds expectations with exceptional standards. Great place to go

One of the worst hair experiences of my life. Maranda was immediately unreceptive when I was trying to explain the hairstyle. She also seemed frantic when I got there and took 50 minutes from my original appointment time to get started. She didnt know how to pattern the foils and talked to the owner about it in front of me. As she foiled, I could see it did not fit with what I was asking, just based on years of watching other stylists foil. I tried to ask questions about it to politely suggest doing it a little different; she wanted nothing to do with anything I was saying. She was rude, barely said a word the whole 3 hours of the appt, was not curious about what I was asking for at all, and left the color in my hair for 2.5 hours! I cannot believe how awful this was. To top it off, it was of course not right at the end, and she made excuses that made no sense as to why it did not turn out correctly. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration and do not go to Studio R!*Adding-It is completely untrue that I couldnt get in anywhere else because of not wanting it bleached. That was never even discussed anywhere else. Idk where you got that information. My hair was done exactly the way I asked off of the picture over dark purple about 6 weeks ago by another stylist in my hometown and didnt require bleaching, so thats an interesting claim you make. The problem is the way Maranda foiled it in thin strands instead of chunky so that the color difference was not obvious. Also, my hair has thinned so much that there are patchy bald-looking spots now, because my hair is fine and bleaching is damaging, as is leaving the color in for 2.5 hours! Here is proof in this photo. I think it is a sign of the quality of a business how the owner responds to reviews and how many negative reviews are given as well. There is a lot of defensiveness and lack of validation in so many of these unless they are positive. Very telling in my opinion. Again, I strongly discourage anyone from going to this salon!

My stylist did a great job in my color but she just lagged in blow drying (quickly did it) and even though my deal had a haircut, and I didn’t use it (was short in time), she didn’t offer any alternative besides it. As well, a nice serum in my hair to make my waves bounce and shine would have been nice, as after blow drying my hair was frizzier than when I do my own hair. The hair straightener was a bit non-pro; it made kind of a burning sound when she was going down my hair (but it did a decent job nevertheless).But my stylist (forget her name), was very sweet, personable, and did a great job with coloring (accomplished what I was going for) which I gave the three stars for.

Always hesitant to try a new place. I walked in and was able to get an appointment with Megan. She gave me exactly what I asked for and I love the way she styled it! Megan is definitely my new go-to stylist!

I had my hair colored, highlighted, and cut by Megan. Her technique was precise and she did an excellent job transforming my uneven, grey hair into a cute style. I used a Groupon and the cost of the entire service was very affordable. From what I observed today, all of the stylists know their craft and have loyal customers. I will definitely return to Studio R in the future.

First I almost lost my appointment, I had booked an appointment for Saturday morning at 10 am, and get a call at 6pm Friday night that the appointment is set for Saturday evening at 6:07. And then I was informed that the stylist I had an appointment with would be out for 2 to 3 weeks for a family emergency, this I can understand, but I still have an appointment and the stylist explains shell arrange for someone else to take the appointment and get back to me... no one did. I call on Saturday morning at 9:20 am to ask WHAT is going on, and Im told theres only one stylist at the salon and she can only see me at 9:30 am, I say great and get to the salon at 9:31 am. Im greeted and explain what I want right away, and the stylist begins immediately. I have thick hair, so once the cut is complete the stylist begins drying my hair... but another customer enters just before 10 am for her appointment and I can feel the stylist rushing through to get to her... so I leave with half-dry, Half-straightened, and mostly half-cut hair. Not only was the cut disappointing, I left with my hair half-done! Not worth the time or money.

This place is just wonderful, I had my first bikini wax here and while I cant begin to explain that experience and what that pain feels like. Angie (the lady who waxed me) made the experience very enjoyable. She made me feel so relaxed and comfortable, which I really appreciated considering how nervous I was. She was so experienced and knew exactly what she was doing. She also made the experience fun which I was very surprised about. I thought it was going to be very awkward but it wasnt at all. We laughed and she told me how wonderful I did for my first time going to get a bikini wax. She told me about her own experiences getting a wax and gave me advice to be able to handle my own shaving better. She was just truly wonderful and I really appreciate the experience I had with her. If you ever need a bikini wax please ask for Angie. You wont regret it .

Marlene was my stylish today and she was just so wonderful, gentle, and kind. I came in to cut my hair from long to short and oh my, I love my new short haircut! I also got a root touch up and the color Marlene choose for me is beautiful! I think Ive finally found a stylist that I would be more than happy to come back to! ^_^

The shop is clean, but I was not happy with my nails. I went and got a full set of acrylics put on and they started lifting in less than 2 weeks. I decided to give the girl another try, not only did they start lifting again, I was charged the same price for a fill as I was for a full set and the fill lines were terrible. I usually get pink and white, but had to get color because they looked so bad. I felt like I was inconveniencing the nail tech when I asked her to take my nails down. It seemed like she was more interested in quantity than quality.

So glad I found this salon! Amy was very polite and helpful when I called to ask a few questions, which convinced me to book right then. I dont obsess over my loong hair (only trims for the last 7+ years), so I was extremely nervous. Megan was patient and helped me find the balance between what changes I would be comfortable with and what would compliment me. Im very pleased with the results and wish I had gone in sooner. The salon was clean and everyone seemed to be happy (employees and customers). Im seriously considering taking the plunge and trying some of their other services.

Had my hair done by Kelli-!she did an absolutely amazing job. I went in with frizzy fragile hair and left with an incredible style. She worked with the texture of my hair to get a cut that’s fabulous and maintainable. I was going dramatic, taking off several inches- she cut it once, then asked me if I was sure about going shorter. I’ve had the cut where I’m shocked that it came out shorter then I expected, so I greatly appreciated this. Above and beyond. Definitely my new stylist.

Hands down, one of the best highlights, lowlights, hair cut and style Ive ever had. Megan was great, listened to what I wanted. I had pictures of the colors I was looking at, which Ive been told before, your hair just wont look like that, and Megan didnt even blink. And it looks amazing.Thank you Megan for doing what you do. I dont usually go to hair salons, because the high prices for women haircuts. Which is ridiculous. But anyhow, Miranda did an amazing job. I walked in there with my troll doll looking hair, and she tamed my mane. So Thank You!Also, the owner, Amy is also amazing. I walked in when a rude customer was making a scene. Amy did everything to try and satisfy the customers complaint, but that lady just had some serious issues. Ima pray for her sad life, because who wakes up so early in the morning which such a sour attitude.All in all, great customer service and awesome services! Plus their hair product stuff smells really amazing and makes my hair feel nice. :D

Maranda is amazing, its so difficult to find someone to do a mens color and cut the way YOU want it. I have been a client of hers for years now and would not choose anyone else! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE HER! Highly recommend!

The nail tech is good, speaks english, listens to your needs, and makes sure that you like the work....but never really available m-f seems like you have to schedule weeks in advance, which she has stated most of her clients do.

First time getting my nails done by Khandice, and let me tell you she did a GREAT job on my toe nails and finger nails. I definitely will go back and recommend to go visit her. The experience was so awesome from the first second to the last.

Crystal is absolutely wonderful! She is highly talented. I see her regularly for all my skin care and waxing needs. You won’t be disappointed. She’s a gem!

2/10/2018: I just got home from here and i am very pleased with my cut by megan. My hair was cut straight across down to my mid-back in thin layers. I showed her a picture and its perfect: light, wispy bangs, u-cut, long layers and 3in shorter. she did great, I didnt feel pressured to small talk, and I was in and out in 1 hour. overall great experience and i will be back for a color soon

Ive been seeing my personal colorist and hairstylist, Chris Marcus for about 8 years now and wouldnt think of seeing anyone else. He listens so well to what I need and gives me the royal treatment. I love the shampoos with the head massage!!!

When I moved to Colorado 2 years ago I had to go through several beauticians before I finally found Miranda. She does such a great job and shes such a sweet girl. She listens to me when I tell her what I want I highly recommend Miranda at Studio R.

I had met the owner when she was premoting at my gym, she was very friendly and gave me free cuticle oil! Her prices were great and I had agreed to come in ASAP. I had come in today TWO HOURS before they were supposed to close and the only lady who was in the salon refused to serve me! She wasnt even at the front desk :( she peeked out the back room told me no and went back to the room, I was very disappointed and all I wanted was to flat iron my hair...

Zero stars! I bought a Groupon to this salon. I had to go back twice to have my color fixed and it still didnt turn out right. I ended up going back to my old salon and had to pay 150 for a color correction on top of the 89 plus tip I spent on the Groupon. I do not recommend this salon. Multiple stylists were complaining about their color line there and how it doesnt work well. Unless the owner makes a change, do not go here for hair color.

Shelbie cut and colored my hair. I appreciate that she really took the time to ask me what I wanted to do with my hair and didnt try to rush me. I will definitely be back!!

I found Megan through a Groupon when shopping for a new stylist closer to home. She knew exactly what cut I wanted and was able to interpret my muddled color descriptions to give me pretty good highlights. The cost (even without a Groupon) is very reasonable and the salon is very open, clean and inviting.

I gotta say that I did not have a pleasant experience here! I asked for a bridal braid and extensions. I received extensions that kept falling apart and the stylist didnt know what she was doing. During my event the weave came out. When I told the stylist she didnt seem to help out with anything and ignored what I had told her. I canceled my bridal updo the next day. I am very upset with this place

My second time posting here.Megan dyed my hair on Monday.My kids bday was this week. I only have four kids & last night I was able to look at my hair & I saw that is was not good at all. My grays were not covered so I called Megan to tell her that not only they were not covered but I could see two tons of color which I hate.I totally thought they were going to fix it since this is the first time this happens to me and Megan said she didn’t had a problem but Amy the owner had the last call.So Megan called me back and said Amy wasn’t going to cover the cost of the mess because it was after 48h. (In 72 hours I didn’t look at myself which that’s what I usually do because I paid someone to make my hair perfect).She only has one kid and has a lot more time to look at herself in the mirror than me so she totally doesn’t understand families with more than one child.Oh well after three years coming to this hairdresser my time has end. I only came here because it was affordable and because it was very close to my house so with four kids I needed to be fast & quick my time without them. I homeschool them.For the mess in my hair I paid 85$Never again with Studio R unless there is another owner.Good luck Amy. If you think that in 48h a hairdresser can fix someone’s hair or that I messed my own hair in 48h you are completely wrong!I wasn’t there every week lately like I used to,but now you totally lost me as I client & I will make sure non of my family friends go to Your saloon.

I called Studio R yesterday because I was desperate for a haircut and they were able to see me the same day. I saw Maranda for the first time and asked her for a bob and she did a FANTASTIC job! I saw my friend immediately after my haircut and my friend really could not say enough compliments about my cut and how cute it looked in the back with the stacking. She even said the way the stylist (aka Maranda) cut the back did such a great job that she was able to hide my HORRIFIC color job that I am still recovering from POSH salon (HORRIBLE PLACE). THANK YOU MARANDA! I will be back - I think I found my new regular stylist!!!!!! CHEERS!!!!!

I went in to get my hair dyed yesterday & wish I had never went. I had my hair done by Maranda who was obviously not happy that she was stuck there doing my hair. She barely said a word to me the whole time & when she did, she was complaining. Not only was the customer service horrible but my hair looked TERRIBLE. I went in for a full balyage & came home with splotchy orange/blonde hair & my hair is originally brunette. When we called back up today the manager said that my friend & I were being snobby the whole time & that they had it on video camera? Well this was just a lie & I was even apologizing to Maranda during the process because obviously it was an inconvenience for her to be doing my hair. & even if someone may of been rude, this doesnt give you the right to mess up my hair. NEVER go here unless you wanna have to go get your redone somewhere else.

I love Studio R. Ive been there twice now and I love how the Owner, Amy doesnt take crap from those that leave bad reviews. I dont even know her or the stylists on a personal level neither. I am one of those people that cant make a decision or give alot of feed back but Maranda just went with what I gave her and I have gotten alot of compliments on my hair. Ive been to other salons with the same hair style in mind and often went home to fix it myself. I didnt do one thing woth my hair after I left Studio R. Shelbie is also amazing. I brought my daughter in to fix a home hair cut I gave my daughter and her hair is looking amazing 4 months later. Keep up the good work.
