The intake therapist was very helpful and patient with my child. Thank you for that
I brought a family member here that was in need of therapy and support. She had nothing but good things to say about this facility and I am forever grateful for the wonderful therapists and nurses that helped her.
Going here was the best choice of my life. Saved me. Everyone, EVERYONE was nice. Staff was lovely and supportive and the other clients were amazing.
I got denied access for having a task trained medical alert and autism service dog that I have because of a disability partially caused by trauma that is a result of abuse. I am in a very bad place and am trying desperately to find help just to be denied because of my medical equipment. This is illegal per the Americans with Disabilities act of 1990. A civil rights report for discrimination has been filed through the department of Justice.
Staff seems fearful during the pandemic and did not help my son. Dont think its are on staff. Lady had to ask her boss if they should treat my son who has not been taking his meds and has been a danger to people around him. The boss said no. My son is homeless because of her. She was offering shelters for him. Dont go they have no real drs on staff have gone downhill.
A crisis center witha great program for mental health emergencies. The staff was fantastic and kind. The intake was simple and the help is definitely worth it
The intake process is lengthy, but if admitted the staff is great. Very responsive to your needs. Ready to listen and help at anytime. Groups are well planned and depending on who runs them well ran and controlled. Better than any inpatient Ive been in. My first choice if I need placement.
I needed help, It was a really dark time and without this place and the amazing people there i wouldnt have made it. The therapists are awesome! I wish i could have had the therapist i had in there when i got out.
Amazing, extremely understanding and caring staff. This place made me feel safe and well cared for as well as taught me so many coping skills with the regular groups. It was a Godsend to have been sent here!!
I’ve genrrallky had good support. Today the phone support was just circular and of no help.
Not doing much to help people. No outside time unless they can swing it. Theyre more focused on actively avoiding the patients until someone speaks up: not everyone can. The staff is highly underequipped for intense emotional responses. The lights (overly luminous blue light) are left on at night so sleeping is difficult even if you enjoy sleeping on a body-sized rectangular diaper. They even have a group session on why sleeping there alone is a reason not to even bother showing up to this facility. The psychiatrist often switches meds in 24 hour incriments as if theres supposed to be a miracle change in the long-acting drugs. Patient needs always feel secondary, if at all acknowledged. The rules are not posted in a centralized, accessible, singular location and none of them are written on a complete list. Different staff members will enforce different rules and it ultimately leads to a highly confusing environment not suited for the betterment of those suffering from an overwhelming life. The only things to do during free time are eat, go on the computer, and play games: The food is trash, the computer has dirty headphones or weak speakers for listening options and is next to a TV that is basically always on, and the games are in heavy disrepair with most of the puzzles missing pieces aswell.Upsides: A lot of the staff is nice. There are a lot of games to play. The other patients care about getting better so they make excellent recovery company.Look up some DBT groups or out-patient programs and look there for better options.
A pleasant experience with a caring and attentive consultant got us going in the right direction for our issue. Just avoid going between 11a & noon, as they are on their ruins and you will have to wait.
This is a great place to go for mental health crisis!! Open 24hrs!
This should not be called Crisis Stabilization Unit. First crisis they pack you off to UC Health ED. Crisis includes yelling, it scares them. Unless you are mostly okay, this place is useless, not interested in helping.
Ive been through the entire process of CSU & AUMH, I am much stronger man mentally & physically thanks to ALL the People!!
Woman sounded on the phone so drowsy like she had been sleeping. She was not helpful at all.
Helped me out of a dark place. Thank you
Its really creepy there
Waited nearly FIVE HOURS to be seen. Awful people AWFUL experience!
Great place, caring people
