I hate to leave a local person a bad review however this is simply earned. In 2013 I purchased my home in Aurora and the previous owners suggested that I use Ric Ellis. Having been a lifelong member of USAA I went outside my comfort zone and give him a call. It was a bad experience, hard to get a hold of, appeared extremely disinterested in talking to me, frankly just brushed me off. Fast forward to 2020 and Im reevaluating my coverage and rates so I called Ric one more time. I left a message with a very professional young man in the office for Ric to call me, I waited two weeks with no response. I called again exactly 2 weeks from my initial call and was basically told Rics been out of the office, he does a lot of running around in summer. Insurance agents are like ants, I should know, 24 years ago I was one… I found it to be a horrible occupation mainly because theres an insurance agent on every corner and most people just buy it online now. I was still looking for that personalized service, I thought maybe the first time I called Ric I just caught them at a bad time... Nope... Hes just unprofessional and apparently not interested in taking on new clients, or at least me.
