I would have to go and stay and see how I really feel about the place. They did offer me a bed at one time. Stay for so long and then you are back on the street. There really no rerouted people in Atlanta. Some people that are rerouted have been setup by previous landlords. I think they should keep the same people in there, especially if there clean until they find somewhere to live. You know those people are true. Forget about people running in and out all the time.

They never helped me i the whole time i was there i just saved money i was on 12 month non report traffic probation so they program didnt work out for me do to that reason u background need to be clean if you wont their help and the staff is very judgemental but its worth trying ... Watch them watch you !... half way house and work release but its worth it

It is very nasty. Ms. Patterson is not doing the most good. Mrs. James lets her do what she wants to do. When I was trying to get in the reentry program Ms Patterson kept saying it was full. There was 4 beds back there and only 1 had a body. That lady said that she had been back there months by herself but the DOC thought the program was full.. All in a nut shell the Salvation Army in Savannah is not right. The Salvation Army in Atlanta is going the most good.

Front desk lady was very rude for no reason, also she was not trying to communicate in a manner form. Other than that, everyone else was nice and easy-going about life.

Some of the staff here are unprofessional. .Some of the homeless work here and are helping other homeless people steal and are just overall crooks. . .came back from work to someone sleeping in my bed. . People steal here. . .some are staying for months without paying . . A lot of the homeless are not following the rules at all. . .not paying and not working towards a better future. . Ive resided here for about a month and my experience has been 1 star. .

Salvation army organization really help the Veterans and those in need of shelter. The staff is very nice to those that reside at the facility. Provision is made for every men, women, and child/family according to their needs. help is provided through programs which they can benefit to help them get back on their feet.

They charge $10 a day for bunk beds & you must leave the facility everyday. I thought they get Federal funding???

Mister Anderson is very unprofessional, and rude. His lack of customer service speaks volume on this company and it standards.how can u be in the filed of helping others and lack compassion for those that u are helping if their is a higher ranking. I would love to love to speak

I didnt even arrive there before I knew I was making a mistake. I have been calling and leaving messages for weeks and they dont check messages and dont return calls. They never even answered their phone. I must have called at least 6 times before I gave up.I figured that Ill just get dropped off there to claim a bed and get answers to my questions, but as Im reading these horrible disgusting reviews, Im not staying there. BED BUGS !!!!BED BUGS!!!!! Complaints of bed bugs for over a year now with no fix to the problem.

This is my fourth day here and Ive been getting bite by bed bugs every night since I moved in a room... I wanna give up just so I wont keep getting bite up by bed bugs.. But I have my 2 young babies here with me... Im here to get back on my feet by learning discipline and receive housing base on income housing.. I get SSDI so its hard to find housing that accepts... I was promised my life will be back on track in 90 days If I follow her lead (social worker). Shes tough and I appreciate her help.. even if its all for a check for her I still see I can use the resources and hope for the best. But these bed bugs is literally killing my spirit 😣😥😥. Im scared for my young babies I have here with me. So for 4 nights straight I have been the only one getting bite... The staff literally act like nobody else complained about bed bugs until I came. But I see in the reviews thats a lie... I wasnt experiencing getting bite by bed bugs until I came here. Despite my situation coming off the streets I wasnt seeing them bugs or getting bite... So they wrong for covering it up. I dont wanna give up here I just pray God take them away 😥😥😥. Or just bless me with enough money to get me way over on my feet So I can dip... Me and my small babies. Im hoping to get housing (based on income housing) and a fresh start from this experience... Hopefully I can stay strong and literally stronger then these bed bugs 😥... This was the first Salvation Army Id ever been in, people this is my Advice to you stay the hell away from this place. These people dont care about you or you being homeless, they charge you $70 a week to stay there but they make you leave from 8:00am to 4:00pm. I know that guy named Mr. Smith got on my damn nerves because of his attitude and he was about to get cursed out. What ever you do dont ever come to this place because its a living hell!

BED BUGS BED BUGS AND MORE BED BUGS ! I told them countless of times that my living quarters has a bed bug problem, the first time I brought it to the salivation armies attention the front desk lady gave me a generic shpill on how I had to “sign up for maintenance to treat my room with spray” add you she seemed slightly disinterested in assisting me(you would think i stated a minor complaint or something) then the next day bed bug bites were all over my fiancé’s and child’s arm once again. So I mentioned the issue of the bugs again to the front desk lady, once again gives me a “works at the DMV” uninterested vibe, not coming off addiment at all to help solve my bed bug problem. So the next morning came about and once again me and my family got new and more BED BUG BITES alllll over our body, fingers, feet, ears, etc ! Then my own 3 yr old child spots a hug bed bug crawling on the bed points out and screams “bug daddy bug” ..so I furiously bagged up the bug in a ziploc to and brought it down stairs as physical proof of the issue. So from there I demanded for something to be done about the issue, so immediately the lady at the desk got the maintenance man, I spoke with him, and he actually came off with more compassion and concern for my BED BUG promblem then the indivuals that are actually employed to serve struggling families. The maintenance man was swift and prompt and did everything he could to help(he sprayed, gave us new mattresses, and sheets). I was very grateful for his fierce action against these unwanted/parasitic guest of ours. But unfortunately me and my family couldn’t rejoice for long, the next morning we had even MORE BED BUG BITES. So rightly we spoke to the head director of the family side and asked for her supervisor. The head supervisor “Ms.Ray” is who were introduced to, she instantly came off with a lack of professionalism, compassion, a tone that screamed irritated and annoyed, and extremely brash aura all the way through. She presented no solutions outside the generic shpill I got before from the front desk lady, and she even tried to change the subject countless of times. So instead of coming off as helpful she came off like we’re an enemy of some sort intruding on her time. Even when I proposed that the bed bugs are likely coming from the carpet in the room, and request she email her higher ups to take action, she said I could do it myself before quickly changing her words to she’ll email them, but at that point her tone she was exerting was smartalic to say the lease.

It Had Very Limited Resources! Mental Ill Mixed w/ General Population! Old Women On Top Bunks Because Half The Beds Are Paid Beds! No Towels, Pillows Or Hygiene Products! Homeless Families w/ No Transportation Or Finances Must Leave Daily By 8am & Not Return Until 4pm Regardless Of Weather! Allot Of Arguing & Bullying! Staff Is Very Rude, Unhelpful & Unprofessional! Salvation Army Gets Too Many Donations & Grants To Treat The Homeless Like This! They Only Have Like 20 Emergency Beds!

On April 7th there were 5 of us looking for beds just to get out if the weather. I rep from Hope Atlanta said I should get there early which I did. He said someone would be there by 8am. Staff started showing up, but we were told the intake staff wouldnt be there til 9am. Outside temperature was in the 40s and light rain. We could see a big empty waiting room in front of us, but they made us wait outside. Then as one staff saw us waiting, theyd tell us to go around the other entrance, but when we got there, the staff at that door wouldnt let us in and would send us back where we were waiting. This happened 3 times. 9am got pushed to 930am. Finally someone showed up after 10am. By 1030am, a staff who by the way was one whod been keeping us outside the whole time, came out and told us there were no free bed available, only pay beds. When she started talking about ID and SSI cards, I walked off. Since Id been recently robbed, I didnt have any of those. I was told that the Salvation Army was the nicest shelter in the area. After waiting 5hrs outside in the cold rain for nothing, I beg to differ.

Never picked up their phone when Ive tried to call on fridays starting at 8am. Called a bunch of times and nothing.Someone else I know got offered some help as well but in tge end she never received some money.You guys dont really help people in need. Probably take the donated money for yourselves.

Since ive been here with my family I have been more stresses out then ive been through this whole ordeal.Between fighting bed bugs and finally getting it under control with baby powder and baking soda only to be told that we have to get it up. My 3 year old son arms look horrible. Noone came to spray anything. We have to be out between 8am to 4pm only to come in and the playground and computer lab closed all the time. Im paying $300.00 a month to be here. Im having a hard time saving money to get out of here because all through the day Im buying food or paying for parking. Were in Atlanta everything cost. I work part time and paid every two weeks getting a $300.00 sometimes $350.00 check every two weeks. Overall I can say my our case worker Mrs. Edwards does the best she can and I thank her and Mrs. Ray for what they do. We understand that were in a shelter and you cant have everything your way but come on somethings need to be adjusted for people to really get on their feet to get out of here.

So clearly this is all a SCAM.-2.If you call the DONATION LINE,someone will PICK UP IMMEDIATELY and send you to the RACIST WHITE WOMAN who is supposed to be the manager and she will PROUDLY TELL YOU,she will Not Pick up the line and ask you what do you want to complain about. Full of huge bed bugsThe bed bug ate me up all over had to complain 3 days to get my bed spayed with some chemical that didnt WORK . I have sores from bites ALL Over my body even private parts. Its nerve racking im mocing back into my car. Cant take it any longer they have NO solution to their BED BUG infestation. Its way waY OUT. Of hand. Plus you have to pay 70$ a week to be ate alive . SAD

They are very ride the staff doesnt like to help like they supposed to. It has bed bugs in the rooms. They are ranned by donation but they give the items to there family members instead of the people thats in the shelter

They need to be shut down permanently. Nothing but constant bed bug infestation. The staff dont give a damn about you. They put you out before your time, and dont help with anything. Its a waste of time and energy looking to the salvation army to do anything.

They don’t help for what you need help with. I got kids and need a hotel for us but they saying they don’t help with that. I will not recommend them to anyone. Poor help and false advertising. Poor service.

We are living in a crucial times. Where we will no longer rely on governments to assist us in housings.. Shelters as if right now are cuts off of funds for residents in the shelters, and are left to fend for themselves and with who ever is left in the shelter. Like Salvation Army whose funds has been cut down came up with an idea in order to keep bills paid and staffs coming to work. Came up with a conclusion to charge new intakes with a fee of ten dollars per day. What does this means to us? Go to another level, or get stuck with this system ways of doing things.@Natalie Lexidor

I have a friend whos a supposed to be getting transition housing but they trying to kick out of the temporary housing apartments they have because she does have a job she work full time she has kids but she work at night and they keep saying she cant be there at night but they told her to have a job so she can get in that program to get housing and its unfair they trying to kick her out but shes doing everything and having all the paperwork what they said to do and there are slow poking around

They need to be closed down no care in the world.
