Republic Services has handled our waste removal from our business for the past 6 years. We have been very pleased with everything from their prompt attention when scheduling service to staying on top of pick-ups for container refreshing. We have also been dependable on Republic Services to deliver larger temporary containers for quick junk removal. Customer service has always been friendly, quick and very much appreciated while pricing has been fair and competitive within the industry.

We have both a regular trash bin and a recycling bin with Republic. They are good about emptying the trash bin but not the recycling. What are they good at? Faithfully charging us every single month for emptying the recycling bin, whether they empty it or not. Weve called multiple times over the last year but nothing has changed.

We have been using Republic for over a year and have been very please with the service they have provided. Some billing issues in the beginning but our Rep Alice Binder has been fantastic about getting these problems taken care of. We not only have scheduled pickups during the week but any projects that require additional containers are available and delivered/picked up as requested. I receive emails from our Rep. Alice Binder in advance before Holidays that may change our scheduled service dates to find out if we need to be serviced before the Holiday or wait till our next scheduled pickup date. Thanks Alice for the proactive approach of staying on top of our needs.

I have been working with Jimmy, and Phil at republic to help me keep my waste management area in order for my warehouse in McDonough. These two guys have been nothing short of amazing. Always accommodating, and making sure I am taken care of. If you need to work with anybody for your waste collection/recycling, this is the place to go, and these two guys are awesome. The whole team is great and I would highly recommend them.

My honest review:5 out of 5 for my Account Representative. They are very responsive (which is crucial), Operationally, I would give a 3.5 out of 5 as theres always room for improvement and at times weve experienced some delays and require some follow up. With those 2 factors in mind, I would give them a solid 4 out of 5 overall at this time.My Qualifications - I work for a commercial hospitality business contracting trash services for hundreds of restaurants.Additional Details - We recently switched out an entire market (about 30 locations) to Republic Services. If anybody is familiar with the undertaking of coordinating 30 separate locations of switching out cans and ensuring that there were no interruptions of service, its nearly impossible. My Account Executive Christie Ewald was there for us every step of the way from negotiations, contracting, and even coordinating the deliveries. The level of the response that Christie is able to provide for us is such a relief compared to other providers weve used. With this type of service (or any type of service for that matter), it is inevitable that you will experience challenges and issues when it comes to the day to day service. In my opinion, the key difference is having a main contact that is responsive via phone or email who will send updates, ETAs, and follow ups. If it wasnt for that, the overall experience would just be average and not worth writing a VERY long review on...

HORRIBLE SERVICE!! DO NOT USE!!!! In the 4 weeks I was a customer of Republic Services, they only picked up our household garbage and recycling ONCE! Reported missed pickups went unanswered; customer service and operations is a joke. I called every day for 2 weeks, escalated to over 5 different supervisors who promised to report back status to me, never heard a word. Cancelled service yesterday to go with a different company. I will just have to eat the $90 bin delivery and $60 pickup fees - not worth the headache and piled up trash. Buyer beware - worst service I have ever experienced.

When we transitioned to this waste removal company, they never delivered our recycling bin and we are still waiting on it after six weeks and many updates and missed follow through a, and when we put in for Miss pick ups, a week would go by and they never would picked it up. I am completely disappointed with this company. I will be changing companies in a matter of a week once I hear back from the supervisor.

This is without a doubt the worst company I have dealt with ever. My first problem began in October when I signed up for service. They did not pick up for a month. I have had missed pick ups at least once a month and now I am going on week 4 and no pick up. I get the same response all the time. I am sorry for the inconvenience but we will get it picked up. I have called everyday for the last 3 weeks and still nothing.They will not give me a number for the local operations manager as I have to go through the process. Well the process DOESNT work. This is supposed to be a service provider and they are absolutely incompetent, no one knows what the other is doing and all the service agents do is type in notes which mysteriously disappear and I have to start all over........

This is the worst service ever. I have been with them for a little over a year and they have missed pick ups at least 10 times. This is the 2nd Christmas in a row theyve not picked up and I have trash at the curb as Im posting this because they still have not shown up. Last Christmas i had to pull all the trash in my garage because animals kept getting in it while waiting for them and my garage smelled like a landfill for weeks. I have credits promised that werent given. Im online right now looking for another company to switch to. And to Raymond Harris, who posted from the company, if the company cant handle the customer load, then they should find a different field to get into. Youre basically saying f u to the customer and well get to you when we get to you. My HOA doesnt care about your excuses when my trash has been at the curb for days...and PLEASE dont compare yourself to the mail man because they do their job rain, snow, sleet or hail!!!!UPDATE: 1 week later and AGAIN Im waiting on my trash to be picked up from a missed pick up. There are many other service providers to choose from in South Atlanta. Do not bother looking into this company for any sanitation needs, whether it be residential or commercial, dumpsters or roll-offs. I typically dont leave many reviews, however the lack of customer service at this company is eye-opening. Someone will undoubtedly leave a response to this review saying how sorry they are they couldnt meet our expectations, but seriously, how many 1-star reviews does it take to turn something around? Dumpsters in disarray, no phone calls back, and expensive AF. Try Raintree Waste, their customer support at the outset seems to be much better.

After Months of POOR service (Late or Missing Pickups), we canceled our service with Republic. THEN, they billed us for the pickup of their containers $62.67. We have called them 3 different times to try to clear this up reasonably. NOW, they have threatened to send it to a collection agency. Posted a giant picture of trash that they threw on the ground after moving our dumpster. Then, they didnt empty the dumpster. They just moved it to the bottom of our ramp. Then they said they arent going to take care of the trash because we are in a riot zone. Our location in Midtown has not even had a protest walk by, let alone a riot. What an absolute joke of a company.

I am a new customer that placed order for service on 10-25-19, initially emailed container would arrive on 11-1-19, emailed changed to arriving on 11-4-19, I called on 11-5-19, requested call back from supervisor to report no container and today 11-7-19 no callback from supervisor or container, though I saw the Republic garbage truck pass my home on 11-6-19 at about 0830, which was supposed to be my 1st day of service. Speechless.... Did I say I am a brand new customer? Did I say I canceled Waste Management for poor customer service on 10-25-19? Amazing.

Horrible service! I’m in a apartment complex and there is piles of trash all around the dumpsters! The garbage man emptied out the dumpsters and then uses it to push the piles of trash towards the back. So unsanitary and hazardous! Now there’s going to be more piles of trash on top of it! Then he just drives off like there’s no trash all over the ground!

I called Republic Services customer service to ask if the business I work for was still under contract and was told no. We signed with another service and when I called to ask Republic to pick up the dumpsters I was told we had signed a three year contract in 2014 and that it automatically renews every three years and that we are still under contract. When I told the customer representative that it was a dishonest and deceptive practice he laughed at me. Do yourself a favor and do not do business with this company.

Though they were good for awhile, in the past few months Republic Services has deteriorated for both our trash and recycling removal. I am tired of calling to report missed pickups, and whats the point as they dont come and get it anyway. Paying for services that we do not receive. How can a company operate this way. Were going to cancel and find a better company, but even that process sucks as we have to pay them to come get their bins. Horrible horrible service.

THEY ARE THE WORSE! I put my container out on Wednesday night (9/13) for pickup on Thursday morning (9/14). As of today (9/16) my trash is still at the curb. I thought perhaps they had only overlooked me. Jumped into my car and drove around my neighborhood and saw only Republic Services containers unserviced. A few of my neighbors use other providers who had come and provided service. I live in Georgia and called customer service several times but they couldnt provide any information, as the calls are now routed out to other states rather than actually having the ability to speak to someone in the Georgia office. They informed me that I would have to wait until Monday (9/18), as they dont operate on the weekends. I asked them twice to let me speak to a Manager and was told someone would call me back. I knew that would never happen, as Im still waiting . Please know that you can contact Consumer Affairs to post a complaint. Please use that resource!

Our trash pickup days are Monday and Thursday. Thursday they did not come. I call customer service and Antoinette said it was due to a truck mechanical error. She was not apologetic but rather nice rude when I asked her to repeat. This company is not at all professional on the truck or in the office.

If I could leave a negative star rating I would. Do not waste your time or money with this company! I will agree with other reviews, this is the most unprofessional company I have had to deal with. Upon initial sign up the girl helping us didnt even explain all of their fees - surprise! On top of that, you will call them and speak to multiple people who will assure you things have been taken care of when in fact, they did nothing. Dont bother having a card on file either, the company isnt competent enough to run it.

I had been at my new house for 7 weeks. Their thrash bins had been since I came to the house. They never picked up my trash. I had to ask the guys from Allegiance to remove my thrash. I requested for at least 6 times to pick up the bins and I am still waiting. I talked to supervisors, managers with no solution at this point. Horrible!!!!!!!!!!!

AVOID AVOID AVOID! Our building has been using this trash service for several years. Since 2014, theyve increased our rates by 90%! Yes, really, a 90% increase in less than four years. We are trying to cancel our service to go with a more reliable and affordable provider, and they will not return my calls, emails, or texts. Ive been trying for a month, and they say they have no record of a cancellation request. Im convinced that when I call to cancel, they just pretend to make a ticket and actually do nothing so well be forced to keep their service. There are many other trash providers in the area that will do a better job for much cheaper and might actually let you cancel your contract if you arent happy. DO NOT USE REPUBLIC. This is a scam!

I called on both times the first time they finally got a truck there to pick it up this time after three phones to the company with promises that would be picked up two day later. It was never picked up. Time to switch companies. The worst trash service you can find.1) Their rates are some of the highest. They may give you a good first year rate but then they will increase the rate EVERY month after that. You can force their hand by threatening to cancel and then they may lower the rate temporarily but will get you again ASAP. Their FUEL charges, ADMIN charges, and other fluctuating fees will raise your rate while the basic service rate may stay the same. This is how they get you. BE VERY CAUTIOUS2) After 13 years of this we finally cancelled....certified/return receipt USPS letter and we cancelled according to out contract terms TO THE LETTER. They refuse to remove their can!! Our sales rep is the only one who can cancel the account??? I JUST CANCELLED THE ACCOUNT!! Typically I dont like to speak down on other but I live in Georgia and have republic services as my garbage disposal pickup. THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST TRASH COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH! THIS COMPANY DESERVES NO STARS WHAT SO EVER EXCEPT ON THE KINDNESS OF CUSTOMER SERVICES. Customer services are kind people but nothing is getting done. I have promises made weeks in a row to come get my trash the next day and no one ever comes. I feel lied to and deceived. I run a dormitory for a small school and because of this situation piles of trash build up before I can get it taken of then as soon as the trash is picked up I immediately have to refill the can with all the old trash and reset the cycle. Its a shame that we are paying a company to simply pick up trash and they consistently lie to me and never get it done. If your are looking for a good trash company in Ga this is not your best bet, I would advise WM. I am not mad because things happen but I am frustrated because this has been an on going and deceiving situation.

This is the worst company!! For the last year I have had to call and waste much time on incorrect billing, crazy charges and more. NEVER any action to correct the problem. Our business has used them for several years. This is the MOST unprofessional company I have ever encountered. Every year they would try to go up on us. I would have to get quotes from other companies for them to match. This year was the worst! I do not have 45 minutes to spend on the phone with them every month. I decided to make a change and when I called to cancel they said none of this should have happened and a manager would call back! you guessed it they never did!! I called again to cancel and 2 days later a manager did call. I told her it was to late I had already signed with another company. She said some one would call to schedule to pick up the dumpster! Guess what they Never did!! I called again this morning and again someone is suppose to call me back again! We used Republic Services for a condominium association property we managed. What started out at a reasonable cost soon escalated 4 fold. They ended up being the most expensive waste hauler in the metro area. They sometimes didnt pick up when they said they would and to make matters worse it was impossible to cancel their contract. There Customer Service department should be called Customer No Service department. I tried to schedule a bulk pick up for a mattress and box spring. I scheduled it on Monday the 10th for a pick up on Monday the 17th. The truck never came to pick up the mattress and box spring and it was at the curb the entire day. Then I had to drag the mattress and box spring back into the garage until we could reschedule for Wednesday the 19th. I drag the mattress and box spring back out to the curb and they missed the pick up for a second time.We left it at the curb this time because they said that they will be back the next day. The third pick up was scheduled for Thursday the 20th and they missed that one as well. On Friday the 21st they missed the pick up for the fourth time. After each of the missed pick ups I would call in to the customer service department to see what was going on. I got nothing but scripted answers over and over again. The customer service department is in Phoenix and the pick up that I was trying to schedule is in Atlanta. There was no way for me to contact anybody directly at the Atlanta division office to get the problem resolved. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered. Republic services has a lot to learn about the service industry. I will be taking my business elsewhere!

Republic failed to pick up for several weeks in June and July. We called in July and they promised a credit and that they would pick up our trash. The last week in July they still had not picked up so we called and cancelled effective July 31. We replaced them with Curbside Services in Oconee County. As of today Republic is still attempting to bill us for their service. I called their customer service to try to get the bill cancelled. After being transferred to the second customer service rep, he gave me a Sales Rep number and then said he would transfer me. He actually hung up on me which I assume was his original intention by him giving me the Sales Rep number. Of course, the Sales Rep is also not available. The only reason I am giving 1 star is that there is no option for zero.

Dont use this company....they used to be good, and have lost their professional quality.After 5 years of service, the truck accidentally took my can. It took a week to get a new one. Then 2 weeks later workers broke top of lid off. It took another week to get one (garbage piling up in my garage and I told customer service I didnt want to wait a week again)Then my personal container was stomped or crushed somehow and 6 phone calls later to corporate offices (and after I terminated service w/ Republic and went with Waste Management) the district mgr calls me and promises to give me one of their containers to replace my personal one. Over a week and still no container. This company has lost their minds. Poor management, unprofessional and pitiful.BTW Waste Management delivered my new container in 4 DAYS!!!!! Republic has worked very well for my family and neighbors. They are easy to work with and will take more than their contracted 8 bags of yard waste if needed. Their large item pickup is free and makes getting rid of our old mattress very simple.

They were doing pretty well until the last two weeks, picked up recycle but not trash. Then I went into customer service hell (well escalate to management, well be out tomorrow, truck broke down, whoever you spoke to yesterday didnt escalate, cant be there for 5 days, dont have a truck on weekend, well escalate to management for a credit to account, etc. etc.). Terrible service and even worse customer service when trying to deal with service issues. They service my home inconsistently and because recycle pickups are only scheduled for every other week, this basically translated to ONE pick up per month. I constantly had to call to remind them to do their job and service my home because our garbage always filled up due to missed servicing. They did offer me a refund when I asked to get out of my contract, but said it would take SIX OR MORE MONTHS TO PROCESS. Total joke coming from a company I have NO trust for based on a service track record. The icing on the cake, however, was a $30.00 container removal fee when I canceled the service [hard to call it service]. Ive been trying to get service from them for nearly a month. They still havent delivered a garbage can, and every time I call them, Im guaranteed to be on hold for half an hour. I have no other option because of my HOA and their contract with them. The first call, they entered my address and phone number completely wrong. After a week with no service, I called back and they said theyd put a rush on getting my can. As you can tell, thats not happened to date. Based on all the other reviews, Im one of a million with the same gripes!!

This company is a joke! I paid my bill only to have them take my recycling can the following Monday. Three weeks later Im still waiting for them to bring it back! My suggestion is to go with a different provider

Terrible company! Never picked up on time. Now 3 months after cancelling my service because I moved, they still havent refunded me my security deposit, and every time i call about it, i get a run around and basically lied to. Go with ANY other option you can besides these guys. Absolutely the WORST company i have ever had they misfortune of dealing with.

If I could give negative, I would. Im 42 years old, and, MAYBE, barring Comcast Cable, this is the most difficult, infuriating, company I have ever dealt with.I think if you have some regular business in the middle of nowhere, so that theres no chance of ANYTHING ever being in the way, then they probably do a fine job.But, if you are in Atlanta, and anything out of the ordinary ever happens, then you will NOT get anything in the way of an emergency service.I suppose they are just so big they cant offer it. Now, there is a voicemail set up for emergency pickups, but no one ever responds.Every driver I have encountered is very pleasant. The customer service people I have spoken with are very nice. But, when it comes to execution, Republic, somewhere, somehow, seems to drop the ball every time.This is our fault, but paying the bill when our contract was up automatically signed us up again? Very hard to get out of. Its getting to the point where im ready to stop paying, hire another company, and let them sue us. I have a business, Lost Dog Tavern. You can go read our FB, Yelp, etc, reviews. Some of them are terrible. You cant make everyone happy. But i will tell you one thing for CERTAIN. If I had a current customer TRYING IN VAIN to give me MONEY.....I would do something about it.

I was with Robertson Sanitation for over a decade and they changed to Republic Services/United Waste/Allied Waste (long name). They dont deserve any star... the price kept going up each quarter and the customer service down! I closed out my account with them. I was told that I could keep the trash can but I do not want it so they need to come and remove it.

I have an 8 yard container at a business.They make you sign a two year contract. They are then inconsistent with their pick up days and times. When they dont show up, it is very difficult to talk to anyone local. The call center is out of state and can only email local drivers (proves ineffective). When you go to cancel, they threaten with a 6 month cancellation fee!Please look elsewhere! I wish I had paid more attention all the negative reviews!

I have been using Republic services for about 2 years and every quarter they slightly increase my bill. I got tired of that and found another trash pickup service that was going to charge a lot less. I called Republic to cancel and they promised to match the price of the other company. I thought, ok why not. I got the bill today and it was double what I was paying originally.

This is one of the worst companies that I have dealt with. They never pick up the trash from my business on the day they have it set for pick up. they are always 2-3 days late and about 1/3 of the time they dont even pick up. I have to call it in every other week.I have notified them about 15 times that I do not want the dumpster picked up after 9PM because we set the perimeter alarm. the driver still comes out at 2 PM and set the alarm off. Finally I got a new company to bring a dumpster to the property. I have asked Republic Services to pick up their dumpster 12 days ago and it is still sitting there full. I have called the manager Dave Smith who has not returned a single call. I have called the main # again and they claim that there is no record of it. They transfer me to another department just like they did before and the only thing the woman there can tell me is that this will be sent the the sales rep to reach out to me. it is June 18th and still no one calls.Do not work with this company they are a nightmare.

The worst experience Ive ever had with trash company.Once per 2-3 month they forgot to pick up my trash.I had to call them and ask to do their job.The last straw was when they forgot to pickup my trash two weeks in a row. Im sick and tired of dealing with them. Glad to say that Im moving to another company next month.

STEER CLEAR of this company and do not use them! THEY STINK in more ways than one!! They picked up my trash only twice during the 2 months I used them, and I had to practically yell at them for the 2nd pickup. Theyre unorganized, they lack professionalism and apparently their drivers are miserable morons since they continued to miss my address for pickups. I fired the imbeciles at Republic Services- Robertson Sanitation -Allied Waste or whatever the h*** their name is and have moved on to Waste Industries which is far superior in service and attitude. Now the only problem is the Republic Services idiots have failed to pick up their stinkin trash container. Its been well over a week since I told them to remove it from my yard, but these jerks must be deaf, on drugs or the dumbest people around. They NEVER close the lid. Came home this evening and my trash bin had 4 inches of water in it from rain. Had their service for four months, IF they pick up my trash, they leave the recycle, if they pick up the recycle, they leave the trash. HORRIBLE SERVICE, BEWARE. Had enough, DONE. Holy crap this place is insanely expensive! They wanted to charge me 103$ to come and recycle just my cardboard boxes! That is it, nothing else! Plus an additional 130$ delivery fee to drop off the recycling container. They are only ten minutes away from my business!

Have only had the service 3 weeks and they have already missed my pickup I called early yesterday and she told me the the driver could be on vacation... I ignored the low ratings and went ahead and added the service. When I called both times I had to wait 20 mins for someone to come to the phone. This is ridiculous!
