Being from Atlanta, I can honestly say this is THE Premier Barbershop. I have been to others, but the 71 Barbershop has kept me as a consistent customer for almost 2 years now. Each visit the receptionist has made me feel welcome, and as if I were their most important client. The barbershop offers parking validation (a plus) with any of their services. My barber, Cleveland, is always on time, and professional. If there is any hint of a schedule issue, or if he will be out of town, he will personally text his clients weeks in advance to notify of his absence. Cleveland and I have build a good relationship during our time and I am always impressed by the consistency of his cuts and fades. There have been a few times where I have been running late for a meeting, and he will go out of his way to be sure I have a clean shave or kept eyebrows at no extra charge. I am a very pleased customer, and frequently change my schedule to travel back to Atlanta for a cut during times when I am away from home. Cleveland is my barber, and I would love for others to stop by and give him a visit, though all the barbers I have interacted with at this establishment have been highly skilled and professional.

I was referred to the barbershop by a friend of mine from the area since I was visiting the city from Baltimore. I went in and the receptionist was helpful and professional. There were about 2-3 other walk-ins waiting. My wait time was about 10 minutes which was to be expected considering the barber-to-client ratio. (dope) I went on a Friday morning. Not only was it a late Friday morning but also the Friday before a 3 day weekend. Wait time was excellent when you consider these things in ATL.The barber that took my cut was described in a review as meticulous and professional and he was. Kept cordial conversation light, wasnt invasive, and gave me a sense of confidence while in the chair and after it was over. The prices, for a shop of that demeanor was to be expected. The only thing I probably overpaid for was the tip and parking. (Dont park in the MARTA garage).Overall - the barbershop was clean, chic, masculine, professional, and had excellent promotions on foursquare. Im waiting for someone to talk me out of spending $275 every two weeks just to come to Lindbergh from Baltimore for a cut.

Even showed me something that would make the look I’m going for look better. Can’t argue that someone in the shop is better. The shop as a whole is great, warm feeling environment. Ashton is the man. Been going to Ashton since last summer. Every time I want something a little bit different, and its no problem for Ashton to accommodate the cut and make it look great. I like the fact that there were so many barbers to choose from and they accept walk-ins. Decided to go here for a quick cut on my lunch break and everything worked out fine. The only thing that annoyed me a . bit was the typical hustler that shows up in shops from time to time try to sell fragrances and the other barber blasting the music from his phone.

I always seem to switch barbershops every 6 months because the barbers either are inconsistent with the quality of the cut, or inconsistent with keeping their appointments. But 71 is far better than that. Ive been going to see my barber Cleveland for the past year and Ive walked out with a great cut every time. He is one of the best in the shop And is usually pretty flexible with appointments. Hes amazing.

Did not like the haircut and was too slow. Just asked for a plain and simple haircut. The barber Charles was trying to make it complex. Dont know what he was trying to do. And he never made me sit facing the mirror. The wall mirror was on my back. I requested but he made some excuse. First time I have seen a barber cutting hair and not letting you see the mirror. And too expensive as well $25 for a haircut. Waste of time and waste of money. Never going back here. And there was a lady at the front very unprofessional and careless, Charles said to her $25 loud and clear and she asked if I want to tip? I said ok $5. Then she said that will be $40 total I said What? It should be $30. She thought Charles said $35 instead of $25. Really bad experience.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DONT GO HERE. Receptionist was rude. That should have been my first hint to leave. After showing the barber a picture of what I wanted he still did what he wanted, he rushed, he left hair on my face and neck, he didnt listen to my suggestions or needs, and then told me my price was 10$ more than the site, giving himself a 10$ tip when the cut shouldnt have cost at all. VERY VERY VERY amateur! One person here might be good, but everyone else is fresh from school. Not worth the price.

If you want a barber that takes time to ensure you (the customer) are satisfied with the results.....DO NOT choose Justin at 71 Barber Shop. I would be skeptical about trying any of the other barbers that are stationed in the very front section either, because they boast and brag about completing full haircuts in 10 to 15 minutes. The lack of professionalism and care for the customer and their time was not observed in this shop. My hairline is ruined and now I am forced to cut my hair lower than normal and wait for it to grow back. By the way, I gave him 2 chances to prove himself. (Im a great tipping customer). Justin FAILED.

Some barbers are clearly better than others. Koye is the truth. He cuts very well, has people skills, and, my kids are comfortable around him. I used a different barber recently and he was more than 15 minutes late (didnt acknowledge it), rushed through the cut, and charged me more for less services. Unless cut by Koye, I wont be returning. The cut yesterday was not worth the price or experience.

Im just mad he was booked.. one barber sent a client out with spots in his head.. his hair was not blended or faded correctly... i seen a few decent barbers. But as a walk-in your taking a Risk

I am from Atlanta and my normal barber is on the Eastside. However, when I moved Downtown, I decided to give another barbershop a chance to see if they could persuade me to leave my long time barber. Well almost 4 years later, I have not been back to my old barber shop. Koye has been cutting me since and he does a great job. The atmosphere of the barbershop is your typical barbershop which to me means a lot. I would recommend 71 Barbershop and I would recommend Koye.
