Four hours from home at a doctor’s appointment when the car overheated. They evaluated it, and put someone to work on it immediately so it would be done before they closed and we could drive home. They were so friendly and helpful, unlike some other places we called first. They set us at ease about our situation and treated us like family.

Finally, an honest mechanic!As a young female driver, I am wary of getting scammed by repair shops looking to overcharge for unnecessary services. Donnie walked me through the issues, fixes, and recommendations for my vehicle without aggressively steering me towards a sale. McCurleys Shell is an absolutely wonderful auto shop and gas station. I have a 97 Crown Vic that I brought there twice in the past month. The first time my drivers side floorboard was flooding with water and my passenger window wouldnt go up. Donny and his team got it fixed within 3 days (it was the July 4th weekend). A couple weeks later, my alternator went out. Took it there in the evening and they had it ready early the following afternoon! Donny is one of the most honest people God has blessed this green earth with (and he has a good sense of humor to boot!). His staff works hard, and I was impressed by Reese who was helpful and lighthearted. My family take our cars to McCurlys Shell often, which makes us regulars I guess, but we wouldnt have it any other way.

Very impressed with the service I received, from the ease of making my appointment to the appointment itself to being checked on by Mr. Donnie, several days after my appointment. The team were great to work with, and took the time to explain everything to me, which I really appreciated. They were very speedy, while still taking the time to make sure my car is in good shape. Everyone was very friendly and professional! I felt very well taken care of! It was a great experience and would most definitely recommend to others!

What a great place! Brought my baby in. They took good care of her. They became my primary mechanics! Donnie, Lamar, Alex, Max and Reese. Family owned and you can feel it. They make you feel like family and thats what we all need being complete strangers to a new city!

They guys are real pros. They are all mature mechanic s having years experience. They talk you through any issues they find for you and give you options. It reminds me of good old time mechanics that were extensions of yourself. I’m 77 and have done all this work in younger years and know good guys when I seem them . These guys are good.

Its been a few months since I brought my car in and its still going strong.

Great customer service. Follow up throughout the day ( car drop off) plus follow after the fact to make sure I was satisfied with my service. Would recommend to all who are tired of the dealership prices and want honest work done on their vehicles!

I went to this shop as soon as they opened to get my headlights replaced. Before I left, he quoted me at $125, because he said it would take an hour for labor. Sounds good, considering we discussed my bumper having to come off. So we made the appointment for 11:30 later that day. I left my information, and came back at my scheduled time. When I got there, he let me know the cost was $283 and the job would take over an hour. A waste of my time! Especially after I was quoted already AND I bought my own bulbs. Highly unprofessional. If the price were to have changed as it did, I would’ve thought I’d at least get a call back. But this guy waited till I showed up for my appointment to let me know all of this.

They were fast, professional, and personable. They took care of my car issue. It was a Friday and we were on a family day trip from North Carolina to Atlanta and had a issue with my car. We pulled in to the nearest mechanic shop we could find and we were back in the road within an hour...maybe even less. They even gave me a follow up txt first thing Monday morning. The lead shop mechanic even said he would keep an eye out for us coming back up the road. That’s good business! It’s the small things. Next time in my way down I’m going to stop in to say hello to those guys!

These guys rock. Was originally going to take my car to a competing franchised repair shop, but McCurleys was less expensive and could do the work faster. Turned out to be a great decision. Got treated like family, including a free ride back to my place. Met the mechanics who showed me what was wrong with my car and who were extremely sharp and professional as well as licensed. Trust these guys and will recommend to anyone looking for car service/will do all my car work here from now on.

I would give a million stars if I could. I had a list of problems that filled the work order page but Im not a millionaire. Donnie did a full diagnostics and help me sort thru what was needed right away, what could wait and what I could do myself so I could make the most of my money. I know a little bit about cars but it is still hard as a single female to not get ripped off when I walk into a repair shop. I shopped around and Donnie gave me a fair and honest price. This place is awesome.

The McCurdy’s are a very nice couple. We received a direct mail piece which as you all know we typically toss. I needed an oil change so I was like ok let’s support someone who is reaching out. What a pleasant surprise they were! So nice, so kind, so on TOP of it and affordable. It is like going to a dealership without the hassle and mark up. They even load service details into carfax for your vehicle. And they have a FABULOUS car wash, hand service, beautiful work. I highly recommend them💕

I went to Donnie and his team at McCurleys Shell for many years when I lived less than a mile from there. After moving to Tucker, I tried a dealership and several other oil change services, but Ive decided its worth the drive to N. Druid and 85 to have work done right. Donnies crew replaced my battery on a Saturday in less than 30 minutes. Donnie is a great and his mechanics are always top notch.

I came across this Allstar team after exhausting myself at a few other places that kept spinning me in circles (Pepboys, and Hyundai) about when they could have someone even look at my car. I read the reviews of others and thought let me just call to see if they’ll be able to see me and give me a date of when I could have my car looked at. I called immediately someone answered and said we’ll squeeze you in even though we are very busy!!! When I arrived, I was treated with kindness and could tell they weren’t trying to get over on me just because I was a woman. I told them the issue I was having with my powered seat not moving and the tech looked at it and talked with Donnie (the owner). Donnie said “hey we don’t have that part to do the repair but come back on Monday drop the car off and we’ll drive you back home”...(I know mind blowing right lol). I came back Monday and they saw me within minutes and by end of day my vehicle was repaired and also checked with me a few days later to make sure my seat was working properly!!!I’m grateful to come across an establishment that isn’t all about “the money” or just plane rude because of the volume of business they have.Long story short- I trust them and I highly recommend them for electrical repairs.

Be aware if you come here even one time, they will call you every month and bother you until you come back in. I have personally told the owner to stop calling me, stop leaving me voicemails during the work week, stop texting me because I have MOVED OUT OF THE AREA. What did I just receive as Im trying to work this morning? Donnie, the owner, leaving me yet another voicemail.Look, I respect your determination and sales efforts to bring more customers in, but when someone tells you to stop.... STOP. Ive had to block this number now. I will literally never recommend anyone to come here and hand over their contact information because I feel like Im being hit up by McCurleys more than the daily spam calls we all hate to get.

I recently some car trouble and came into McCurleys. Billy ran a few complimentary tests and told me exactly what was wrong and what my options were. Reese listed everything out on paper and told me what each part was for and what it would cost me. I then called around to find the best price-- it was McCurleys. They even returned my vehicle washed, vacuumed and detailed. Talk about customer service!These are genuine people who do great work at fair prices. Donnie is amazing as well. Ive found my mechanics.

I live walking distance to this place so it is a great option to have work done on my car so I can wait at home while the work is being done. Both employees I dealt with were curteous and professional. I had taken my car to PepBoys a few months earlier because my tire had a slow leak and PepBoys told me nothing was wrong with the tire. The staff here found a nail in that same tire and plugged the leak for me. They also threw in a free wash, which was much needed during pollen time. They called me and recommended a few other things that needed to be done and clearly explained why the car needed the maintenance. Im not exactly sure how the price of that maintenance compares but it seemed very reasonable to me. The oil change was also a great value. Highly recommend!
