Worst internet service and the customer service is no better. They do not care about the needs of customers in rural areas. Forced to pay the same rate as those getting the fast speeds. Phone lines in this area are 50 years old

If you have any other option beware of this company. Worst internet speeds Ive ever experienced for double the cost. Not to mention the customer service, which is god awful. My internet went out for two weeks and I was still charged, even though they never sent anyone to fix it. I never write negative reviews, but I am at my wits end with this company. I honestly hope they go bankrupt. I say again DO NOT GO WITH FRONTIER.

Wouldn’t even give a one star review honestly! I’ve been on the phone with them for a week now. No one can help me with my problem they keep having me do the same thing over and over again and the result is always the same. The customer service is awful and rude. I was trying to speak calmly when she (the woman that was supposed to be helping me) got an attitude. She couldn’t understand anything I was trying to say. I’ve now talked to four different people. Absolutely useless if you ask me. We will no longer use frontier services.

The most miserably incompetent internet provider in southeastern Ohio. Stay away at all costs. Ive never once had a connection that came anywhere near their advertised speeds and service is spotty at best with a regular 10min outage every morning at 8 am which they always deny is happening.

The service only gives us 5 Mbps between 3 people and when ive called before im told we cant get faster internet due to us having copper cables. We pay 100$ for internet and weve called other ISP companies and they told us they cant give us their services do to not being close enough to one of their towers. Ive asked Froniter support about copper cables slow down internets download speed and I was told no it doesnt so I feel like Im being scamed by this company for pay 100$ for something that barely works.

Not sure how they are still in business. This is a seriously indebted company with a terrible customer satisfaction record. Do a search on how many times they have a been investigated by different state attorney generals.Unfortunately, they are our only real option for truly high-speed Internet. It is fast when its working, but neighbors and we have had repeated problems with outages and continued interruptions for years that we did not have with Verizon. Sometimes service interruptions for our residence have averaged 300+ a month according to their records.Our many calls to customer service and the office of the president have resulted in apparently scripted answers from them meant to protect the company above all else. At times we believe they have been dishonest. Lower level customer service and repair people are nice and always apologetic, but 45+ minute holds for a supervisor are usually necessary to speak to someone truly knowledgeable. First tier customer service reps have given me solutions several times that their own supervisors later said were wrong.All employees are limited to the scant technicians available in our area. Several reps have admitted disappointment with the company as well as frustration and embarrassment when they have to give customers simple repair dates two weeks out.No doubt a new and improved Frontier service campaign will materialize when a more reliable competitor (finally) moves into the area. But for now, it seems that top executives of Frontier Communications will continue to enrich themselves while leaving consumers weeks without Internet and their poor customer service reps making excuses for understaffing and inferior equipment.

I have had frontier for awhile now. And im going to tell you absolutely thee worst service i have ever delt with in my life. I refuse to pay my bill anymore because out of 1 month i get 1 week of service. Everytime a feild tech comes out it takes 5 min to fix it. Then it will go out the next week then i have to wait 2 to 3 weeks for another tech to come out. I have had techs at my house 18 times or more. Every single time its on frontiers end not mine. I recently got satellite wifi because thats my only other option. And it works slow but works. Just a warning its a joke and they wont do anything about it i have did the phone calls where i refuse to get off the phone till they do something and same end result. The techs on the phone and feild techs play the blame game. Im fed up absolutely. I got the number to the presidents office of frontier. I plan to use it! Im done! Dont make the same mistake i have. For a communications company, y’all are the worst in the business at relaying information. After being on hold for over half an hour just wanting to know why y’all texted me that someone was currently installing my service but no one is here, the only thing my rep could tell me was “sorry for the inconvenience”. I really just want to know when to be home or if I could speak with someone who would know. Instead, I’m sitting in my driveway while I’m supposed to be at work because I received a text someone was at my house. Y’all could do so much better quite easily but choose not to.

I have been with them for four years now, and I have had constant issues with internet being dropped multiple times a day. Any time I call customer service, I cannot be transferred to the right individuals and when I am, I have to rerun the same test every time. Each time, I get told something different is the problem. It is the only option available where I live, but I would not choose this provider if you have other options. Even if they cost a little more money up front. Oh! And to reward you for being a long term costumer, your bill will get $5 more expensive every 8 months.Edit: After reading the other reviews, I noticed the highest review is a 3. Thats from 79 reviews so far. The issues I have been having are consistent across all of the reviews I read, which is spotty internet service that goes out constantly.I was told the only way a technician would come to my house is if I agree to front the cost if the issues is inside the house even though they are the company that installed everything inside and outside of my house. I was told that because my internet was working perfectly fine while I was on the phone with them that they refuse to do the service I asked for, which was a new modem. Mine is over 4 years old now and the representative I originally talked to told me that they had no information about my router because it is more than likely a model they no longer support, but once transferred, over three times, I talked to a rep that made me yell into the phone because he could not hear me and then he got frustrated with me because of my tone of voice.I am very disappointed to find out that my issues has been an issue for literally everyone else on here. I am only writing a review now after all these years because I was holding out hope things would get better, Sadly, they are not.

Horrible customer service. Internet speed was awful and way below what I was paying for. It took TWO weeks to come out to install internet, then they are two days late to do so, making me miss both days of work. After I cancelled the service, it has taken 8 hours of calling customer service and over 2 weeks to get a mailing sticker to return my modem. According to my bill so far, they are still charging me for it. I only used Frontier because there wasnt any other service where I lived. Save yourself the headache if you can.

This is a communications company. But when you call in and push 1 to get a call back, the call back dosent happe. You sit on hold for 15 minutes before your call is picked up. You wait for 15 minutes on hold because like many companies in America, corporate greed does not allow them to hire enough Customer Service Representatives to answer the phone. I was calling on behalf of a relative. I would go without phone service before I paid this company a dime.

So, after asking my name and address, they allowed me to pay my $190 internet bill in order to turn my service back on. Once I made the payment, they give me a date/time that a technician would be at my home to look at the equipment (which turned out to be completely unnecessary per said technician, who was actually the only decent human I spoke to with this company). But when I told the person on the phone that this day wouldnt work for me due to me being at work on the day they selected, I was told there was nothing that they could do for me because my name is not authorized on the account (which was under my husbands name), yet they just asked for all my info and accepted a $190 PAYMENT. So they were cool to take the $ from me but thats it! I told them they could go S a D. Switching to Spectrum baby.

HORRIBLE service. My internet had worked collectively one month since being installed in October (it is February). They refuse to resolve the issue (its on their pole) and I refuse to pay for services that are not working. Im basically paying $50+ a month for a router to sit in my room using my electric. I am told not to pay until my service is fixed, then my account is suspended for nonpayment I will not recommend Frontier to anyone.

Horrible, I understand most people these days don’t have landlines, but there are still a lot of old school people that don’t use cell phones. And this company as of late have been extremely disappointing, are land line has been on then off over he passed few months and when you ask for help it take them days and last time we were without a phone for 3 and half weeks. They lied to us saying all there Technicians were in South Carolina helping the hurricane victims. I would totally understand and praise them for doing there part, but come to find out it was all a lie. The man who came to fix it Friday the 5th said no one from the company went to South Carolina. So the guy fixed the phone for about a half a day. By morning it was cut off and out again.Everything is all good for now. Thank you to the guy who finally showed up and made sure everything was working. No problems since.

Updated: alright I am changing from 1 to 2 stars now because they actually did come out and fix things. They came out and replaced lines and got everything straightened out on the computer. So as of now, our internet is working like it should be. Thank you to whoever actually took action this time!Now if they could only stop stealing $10/month from us for a modem that we do NOT lease from them, everything would be fantastic!

Wish I could give 0 stars! We have had service for years and always paid on time. Where we live there isn’t many ports at the box they have up the street. And on 2 occasions they unplugged our internet to make room for someone else. Which led to us not having internet the first time for a month. Than most recently they disconnected our internet and said a tech won’t be able to come for almost a month! Needless to say they lost a customer and if you stay on state route 56 near union hill I wouldn’t get them. Spectrum goes out there and it’s way better internet for maybe 5 bucks more a month! Screw this place!

It has been almost three months without internet or phone.... I called three months ago reporting an issue with my internet and they sent a new modem. That did not solve the issue. They then sent out a tech.. he said he could not complete the work and that the lines run from across the street, under the road and to our house and need dug up and replaced. Three weeks later I had not heard from Frontier so I called... they said they would get the work scheduled and so they scheduled the work to be done (so I thought) for one month later.Yesterday a tech showed up. Just a tech. All alone, not able to do any digging and said to me he wasnt sure why he was sent because the first tech was pretty clear in his notes that digging needed to be done. So he left and I still do not have internet or phone.I called customer service again today and instead of telling me when the digging is going to happen, they are simply SENDING OUT ANOTHER TECHNICIAN! I tried arguing saying two tech have been out and both have said the exact same thing but apparently I am stuck in some loop where they just keep sending techs and nothing ever happens.All I want is a straight answer and the appropriate people to show up at m y house and do the work!!3 MONTH WITH NO INTERNET OR PHONE!!!! This is absolutely ridiculous.

Two times now Ive taken a vacation day from work to have a Frontier tech come to my house. Two times now they havent showed up! Internet is down more than its up. Long hold times, rude phone reps... Benjamin from their WV call center claims they no longer have supervisors available to take calls, if I want to make a complaint I need to write a letter. I took Benjamins advice, I wrote a letter, not to Frontier, but to the PUCO!

Weve been trying to get internet with them for two months now. We had an install date, nobody showed up or called. I called them and they said we needed engineering work. Person was supposed to come out for the engineering work and some how in the midst of all of it the whole order was canceled. So after another 30 minute phone call to get them to come back out to install the gentleman said he would call us back since the call was taking so long... no one ever called me back! We live in the country so providers are limited

Phone and internet went out a couple of weeks ago in my area for 5 days and Frontier didnt seem too concerned about getting it fixed in a timely manner. Currently, it has been out since Thursday (5 days and counting) with no foreseeable fix in the near future. I cant get cell service where I live and work from home. Its been a disaster. I dont know why Frontier cant provide decent phone and internet service in the 21st century. I hope I dont have to call 911 while my phone is down.

Made account in June and requested a install date of aug 13, no one came. Customer service is clueless and they ran me around today on the phone for 3 hours. This company will frustrate you to all ends! Stay away if at all possible, like get anything else you can.Also if the “Facebook” team reaches out they will just provide an extra layer of excuses, they can’t actually do anything. Since my first review “Eva” and “Teresa” contacted me and said the techs are in a “freeze” and did absolutely nothing to help.

If I could award Frontier with 0 stars, I would without question. Our wifi has been off and on for over 2 years. Whenever it works, its at about 1/4 of the speed we pay for. If you plan on using more than one device, look elsewhere. Unfortunately, Frontier is the only internet provider in our area or else we would leave in a heartbeat. Perhaps this is why they dont put any effort into fixing the problems weve been consistently having.On average, I spend almost 1.5 hours trying to reach technical support. If I reach them, theyve all said that theres a short somewhere on their end. From there, they put out a work order. This leads me to our experience with Frontier technicians.The technicians - if you want to call them that - seem to have 0 experience with Frontiers systems. Weve had 4 come to our house in the last 8 months or so. The first came, snooped around, and left. The second said there was nothing he could do, so he left without advising us what to do. The third and fourth attempted to install new routers, but get this:Both said that theyve had trouble with routers with a particular firmware. Naturally, we had one of those routers that we received when we signed onto Frontier. But, this is where it gets crazy. They BOTH installed new routers WITH THE SAME FAULTY FIRMWARE (one of them had to call his friend for help installing the router). After taking hours to install the router, they said, thats all I can do and left.There was supposed to be a fifth technician but he never showed up.Currently, Frontier has been saying there is a short somewhere on their end and thats why our internet is piss-poor. But, theyve been saying this for almost 5 months and have done NOTHING to fix it.If you can help it, save yourself the time, hassle, and money and DO NOT go with Frontier.

Tried Signing up thru promotion was accepted but then kicked out made to call in and order which voided the promo I paid up front over 3 weeks ago still hasnt come to install was supposed to be today between 8am & 12pm i called all they said was sorry he must be running behind he will call when hes in his way. Horrible service. My parents internet went out 2 days ago on August 19. They were told they wouldn’t get to them until September 2nd... this is completely unacceptable. My parents are older and rely on their internet service to keep in touch. They now have to drive to the library to get internet. To make matters worse after my father called they gave him a hard time about getting it taken care of. The issue needs to be fixed now

I have had no phone service for a week. I scheduled a service appointment for a Wednesday no technician showed, so I called that afternoon and was informed that the technician would show the next day on Thursday and again no technician showed however but closed out the ticket and said it was fixed never once coming to my house to verify whether I had service or not. So I called back one more time to get it corrected they scheduled a service technician to come out the next day on Friday and again no Technician showed instead they send me a text message saying they’re not going to respond until another four days so now I’m out of service for over a week and no end in sight. Horrible, horrible company if you can avoid having service through them I would recommend finding somebody else even if it’s double the cost. They are not worth it they charge way too much for no service at all! Unfortunately this unacceptable company is my only option where I’m located! It’s a shame that the lowest rating I can give them on Google is a one star, it should be a negative star!

Terrible! Made the mistake of responding to an ecoupon to add wireless internet and VOIP voice. They no showed to bring the router, then turned VOIP switch causing me to lose phone. Rescheduled tech for 7/20!? but no phone for a month until then?! Now I find that tech is not scheduledwhen looking at account online!

Youre literally better off not having internet than going with these guys. Their internet is literally useless. I usually get 3kb/s. Thats 1000 times slower than what Microsoft deems slow internet. Im writing this review with my cellular data because I literally cannot even load up google. Buying this service is throwing money out the window. They claim they will try to help, but dont expect anything to change. If you wanna know what their service is like, watch the south park episode about cable companies. Oh, you have a problem? I suppose you could just switch providers. Oh, wait! There are no other providers! Thats too bad...

This place is the worst. Always trouble with downed wires or service for a phone out for a week at a time. I have tried many times to call them for my elderly mother that does not have a cell phone and depends on her landline. I was promised this issue would be fixed days ago and still her service is still out. Very worried for my mother which lives far away from me and I can not communicate with her. Her health and being alone worries me. I tried to call again this morning to Frontier which is open at 8am EST and message said no one to take my call this was at 8:20. What kind of company is this anyway. I suggest that my mother get a different carrier right away. This nonsense MUST stop.

Worst company ever!! After seeing a Frontier communications truck at my neighbors house I am now without internet, and I have a service appointment IN 14 DAYS!!! If they are stretched that thin they need to hire more help. Ive also been told that I have to call back in or else be charged for the entire month. No problems for 6 months than this nuclear problem at Christmas. I sure hope my kids like their new tablets that I got them for Christmas that they cant use until after the new year**UPDATE**Customer service is nice enough but they cant do anything, literally. I was charged for the entire month of December eventhough I havent had service for the last 3rd of it, and wont until the middle of January. Merry Christmas!!! So I was told that they cant do anything about a credit until it gets fixed. If there is ANY other company to go with choose them. This has been the worst customer experiences of my life.

Made arrangements to be available for my installation from 1-5, no one showed up. I called to check in, and the lady said that the order never made it through dispatch and there was no technician notified. Then, she added that it looks like I no longer qualify for the 24mbps that I signed up for. OH but she could make me a NEW appointment for a whopping 6mbps... no thanks. The last Frontier rep that offered me 6mbps told me honestly that speed is a waste of money.How is it that there is NO communication regarding an order? If my order changes, shouldnt I be notified? If they customer service rep can see that I no longer qualify for the high speed, should I know that too? Considering I am the paying customer? I received an order confirmation the day I placed the order that gave me no reason to believe anything other than that my tech would be here on time, and I would receive what I ordered. Could have AT LEAST lessened the blow with better communication.I really didnt want to agree with all of the other horrible reviews of Frontier. But it is really indisputable at this point.

Frontier lied to me. I moved and tried to transfer my service. They scheduled multiple appointments over three weeks and stood me up every time, we waited 8 am to 5 pm each time. No call, no show. Very dishonest, and the best part about it is that I just got a bill for service that I haven’t had for nearly a month. Time to switch.

There is never any notes from previous calls, the worst communication Ive ever had. If it werent so frustating it would be a joke, but unfortunately they are the only service provider in our area and they absolutely dont care about this review or any others.

Frontier is worthless ! Have continual problems with my phone and internet. Even when it is working the speed is only 1.5 mbps. My internet is currently running 0.5 mbps. I reported this problem on Monday. Service call was scheduled for Thursday 8-12. Got a call from the tech Thursday at 4 pm he said he didn’t get the ticket until 1 pm !! Last time I reported a problem the tech didn’t show up at all. Called in and was told tech had a flat tire. Guess Frontier has only one tech and one van !!Unfortunately I live in a rural area and have very limited internet options. If there is ever another internet provider serving my area I will drop Frontier like a hot potato. BTW 1 star is waaay overrating this POS company !!

Had to give them 1 star because it wont allow 0 stars. I had a phone installed in a new construction house in NOVEMBER 2015. The line has been laying on top of the ground in the road side easement since then. UNMARKED - no way to tell there is a phone line there - actually surprised that some enterprising druggie has not stolen it for copper - anyway when the roadway maintenance department mowed the easement this morning they cut the line. Frontier said that the line was scheduled to be buried the end of May. WHAT??????? I asked when was the the order placed to schedule it to be buried. She said this morning - my original call for repair. WHAT?????? The brainiac that installed the line didnt schedule it to be buried????? Well we dont bury lines in the winter. WHAT????? Winter didnt start officially until 12/21/15 and ended 3/20/16. So we werent in winter when it was installed and havent been in winter in over 6 weeks if that is the case. AND it was rather seasonable when it was installed...no snow on the ground..ground wasnt frozen...FRONTIER you are SERIOUSLY LACKING !!!!! Wish I had the opportunity to do business with Acme phone and internet...they would have to be better than what I have.

My Internet has been off a total of 30 days over 6 months. Technician gets scheduled after multiple agonizing phone calls, i take off work, and the tech no shows- twice. Ive requested credit for no service (4 times) to no avail. Rating should be No Stars. So bad it would be funny if it werent so aggravating.

The worst internet provider in the world, and that’s saying a lot. I used to have Time Warner cable. It constantly stops working. The customer service is nice, but they rest can’t fix what’s at the foundation. Poor connection lines and the company is probably not investing anything into making their connection faster and better. We were promised 12mbps. We only get 3-4 on a good day. However, one thing this company figured out well is how to charge you out of the a**. They just raised our price for no reason. We’re going on fourth year being a customer. Would hav switched but no option in the area. Stay away at all costs.

Over 2 months have went by and they still havent fixed my internet. The last tech came out october 9th and that was the third tech in 3 weeks. Call all the time and still they have no eta on when it will be fixed. They also tried to install dish but said the signal isnt good enough in the yard because off all the trees. So with no cable and also not getting cell phone service at home. My girlfriend has a weekly conference call and has to drive into town to take it. This morning if we would of had internet we would of known her daughter had a 2 hr delay and they wouldnt of waited in the cold for her bus Also if work calls me in I wont get it.ive stressed how important it is for us to have internet but they dont care. This company is a joke wish someone else offered services in our area. Last time our internet went down we called and they said it was shut off due to non payment. It was there mistake we actually over payed and they mailed us a check. Well 2 weeks 2 techs and nothing. The whole time they could of turned it back on from the office like a tech support guy did.

As others mentioned, even one star is too much for this company. Frontier is by far the worst ISP I have ever dealt with. Their DSL service is painfully slow, unreliable, and unreasonably expensive. They made me purchase a useless land line to get DSL Internet, and of course they gave my land line number to every single phone marketing company on the planet. My bill kept going up every month although there was no change in my service or contract. To talk or chat with the customer service, I have to wait at least 30-40 minutes and they could never help out. To have someone come and fix the line, took at least 3-4 business days which was insane. Finally, when I moved and cancelled the service, they charged till the end of the billing cycle and charged an extra $10 service fee! such a rip off. I will never ever want to deal with this company in my life.

My mother has service with them and it has been down for a little over 2 weeks. They keep saying they will come out, give a time and never show, never call to say they cant make it. She still has no service but by God you can bet they are still billing her. An when they are called for the 12 the time to get someone to come fix the Internet their response is, well if youre unhappy with our service you can find another provider. I paid my bill on September 29th, it was due October 1st, confirmation number received. My service was suspended on October 2nd. I waited on hold online for an hour and was told they couldnt do anything and gave me a number to call. The woman I spoke with was rude, and made a point to tell me she doesnt work in customer service, so apparently that was not a concern to her. She said the payments can take 2-3 days to post and there was nothing she could do because she didnt handle the money side of things and told me no one was available who did. So, even though I paid my bill before it was due, my service was suspended because they consider the 2-3 days it takes for them to process your payment as though you havent paid.I called back this morning and was told my account was not suspended, and the techs I spoke to lied to me because they didnt want to do their jobs.I was also told they could not fix my internet service until the 12th of October and just expected me to go 10 days without service! I called back to cancel my service and was told they could fix it that day... I replied that given the amount of lies Id been told, I wanted to cancel anyway and when I asked to have the early termination fee waived they hung up on me! Shockingly, my service was not fixed as promised, and I am still without internet.I thought Spectrum was more expensive, but they offered me better internet speed than Frontier and a landline for $5 less per month.After spending hours on hold and getting the run-around from person to person, there is still no resolution. Dont waste your time with this company.

Promising...Frontier being the only internet provider where we live, with the coyotes, I thought I would look into it. After talking with people I know, who have had no issues with this ISP (even though all the reviews I read on the internet were/ are bad), I decided to go ahead and place an order for install.This was done over the phone.Ashley was nice and it is her job but here are a couple of things I am not impressed with.First of all, being asked how I will use the internet...are you going to play games, how many computers do you have? etc... I nicely stated that I buy their network up to my house and whatever happens passed the modem, on MY private network is no ones concern.She then moved on to the credit check... Wait, whaaaaaat? I am not buying a car or a house here!!! This is not ok!I want the internet, so no choice.So I now have my appointment scheduled for Monday 2/19/18 between 8:00 and 17:00 and should receive a call Sunday to confirm.No call on Sunday... Hmmmm.I call Monday, morning of the scheduled day and the service representative confirms we are ON for the installation.Took a day off of work to be present and waiting I did...No show, no call....Called them Monday night, and was passed around to three different people who didnt know anything about the order #, were rude and gave me three different versions as to why they couldnt find my order #...Without even being a customer yet, I am having the issues most people are reporting while being customers...Will insanity get the best of me???Overall, what I am not understanding here is how and why there is no class action law suit against this company...I understand that no one forces anyone to use their service but when there is so much lying, disrespect and stealing (reviews of people being charged for service they dont even have), I would think people would get together and act...I also would like to add that I am not one of those people who whine and think the internet is a birth right... We moved to the middle of nowhere and knew internet was limited... Internet is NOT a birth right nor is it vital to ones existence so if we cant get it where we live, well, ok 😀Either way, I wanted to share my experience publicly to hopefully help get this company in gear... Hope will be our loss...

Poor service, awful communication. As someone who plays a lot of video games, I frequently need at least a stable internet connection. We purchased a cell booster at our house just for the sake of having less people on the internet, and its still poor. While it hovers around 49 ping, which isnt bad, yesterday it spiked up into the thousands for absolutely no reason, so we unplugged the router how tech support recommended, by unplugging the DSL and power cord, waiting, and then plugging them back in. And ever since then, the internet hasnt worked at all. This has happened multiple times with multiple calls to tech support and they still fail to make a permanent fix. Disgusting.

They should change their name to Backtier because theyre so messy. My landlady directed me towards them and by far this is the worst Internet service I have ever received in my life. It just stopped working for two days then it keeps turning itself on and off unexpectedly. Cheap is expensive, Ive wasted my money on them. Please do not buy their Internet service.. Worthless thieves. We need to share these reviews publicly because they benefit from innocent people who know nothing about them. Customer service are clueless, I wonder how the company runs honestly!!

Come on guys the 1 star is reserved for any service with a FAP, Fair Access Policy. BS. However, Frontier Communications is a nightmare and wholeheartedly deserves a 2 star rating. Their poor customer service, a website that only gives you numbers to call or chat that only has Tech support open 24 hours, and horrible setup ADSL Plus 2 service is just above child molesters in my opinion. Really drives me insane driving 5 to 8 miles toward Portsmouth, Ohio on ST. RT. 73 and finding households with Spectrum (Time Warner) getting 25Mbps and we suffer with at max 2Mbps. Almost positive they get atleast State tax money to bring the rural areas service. Thieves, lookup the definition of broadband by the FCC. Oh yeah and I meet a Technician who was working on one of the cray amount of issues we had in 2016, surprised he could function as a normal person let alone work on Telecommunication equipment. I determined this with the answers I recieved with my basic study of ADSL2++ and I knew without a doubt my knowledge was greater than his. SMH.

I had/have issues with this company for the lenght of time I have had thier service. We have had good experiences with the technicians who serviced us, when they finally arrived. Up to last year, every time it rained we would have spotty service (in and out). This went on for serveral years when no fix. A year ago the company upgraded the lines in the area. And we went from 1 MB to 8 MB. I was told by the technician who was here checking on our connection that we would be able to havea higher speed once lines were completed. I called today and ask about the higher speed and was told we have the maximum. So wonddring now if that is true and who is right. Our experience has not been favorable with this company. Unfortunately we live in the country and our option are limited (Frontier). Will still try to find out who was telling the truth. Of course there a no local numbers for contact with local technicians. FUN, FUN, FUN.

This started extremely bad and finally, after a small amount of yelling and frustration, got better...Frontier is the only internet service that reaches where I live. My boyfriend used them and had many issues with them. The internet was spotty and only worked randomly, maybe 1 out of 7 times. Thankfully, he said one of the guys who came to re-wire the system was nice and mostly competent. But there were still other issues after he came. Other men who came ran a line through the small creek, which is obviously a wonderful idea that didnt work. They promised my boyfriend that they would come back to fix it and never showed. The internet completely stopped working. Super helpful. Now, a year later, they told him he had to pay, because on their end it showed the internet was working even though it never worked correctly.Now, Im trying to use them, again because they are the only company in the area (lucky me) and again Frontier shows their brilliance. I called to set up an account and they said they would call in 2-3 days to schedule a time for them to come set everything up. After a week went by with no call, I phoned customer service (notice the quotes, due to lack of actual customer service). The lady who I was directed to told me that they had me on the schedule for the following day (today) and that I had to be there when they arrived. She said he could arrive any time during business hours and would give me a call 30 minutes to an hour before arriving. In other words, if I hadnt called last night, someone could have called me while I was working and told me that I had 30 minutes to make it home for them to install the internet. When I pointed this out to her, she simply said, Well, sorry they didnt give you a call. They should hopefully be there in the morning. I told her to keep the appointment and I would stay home and just go to work late. Here I am at 6pm and I have not heard a peep from them nor had anyone come to set up the router or anything. This company is literally the worst. Have I mentioned the insane amount of wait time any time you call? I think I fell asleep a few times to the holding music. I just called twice, was put on hold after a long wait, and hung up after about 15 minutes. I called again and was told someone will call me back. This is insanity. The lady called back and said they could reschedule me for Thursday the 29th! Are you people insane? Literally? Im not missing another day of work and Im not waiting 15 days because THEY missed the appointment that they made me miss work for. After firmly explaining that I wanted them to come this Saturday, she put me on hold and Ive been waiting since because all of the representatives are on the line with other customers.... Well if they had decent service people wouldnt be calling you 24/7 complaining about how crappy their internet is!! Gahhhhh!I waited to submit this review until things were resolved. I finally (after a long, long hold) was connected to a nice, competent guy at a corporate office in West Virginia who redeemed everything. He is the reason for the higher review (was originally going to give 1*). He informed me that I had placed my initial order through a retail vendor and though they had the information correct for my profile, they never generated a due date for the service (though I was told the service was scheduled for today by someone else). The gentleman said he needed to correct an issue (they signed me up for phone and internet when I only wanted internet) and then send an expedited ticket/escalation to the office in my area or a technician directly. He took care of everything and informed me that I dont need to even be home for the service (gahhh!). He told me it should be taken care of by the end of the week.If you are looking to work with Frontier, do everything you can to work with people at a corporate office. I spoke with a Caleb and it was a night and day difference between him and the other people I spoke with, whoever the heck they were.

Trash internet provider. high speed internet im in Oak Hill Ohio just outside of town. my average download speed is 125 KBPS. like thats worse than dial up. if one person plays a game and one person watches a video it causes the internet to completely slow down to where both users on the internet will either have their ping shoot up to 2000 MS or the video will buffer constantly even at 144P. OR BOTH PEOPLE CANT DO ANYTHING UNTIL ONE PERSON GETS OFF THE INTERNET. trash internet company and its all run by foreigners. dont waste your money just dont.

Im sorry I had to give Frontier even one star. We have Frontier phone and satellite Internet services because theyre the only company that offers landline service where we live and one of two Internet providers. We moved here from the thriving metropolis of Dayton and I feel like I live in a third world country when it comes to technology. I can relate to the person who is afraid for his mother because her phone is all she has--no cell service--and the phone service goes out at times, especially during storms.. We are older and if we needed help, our landline is the only way we have to contact 911. The last few times weve lost phone service, I have e-mailed them and told them how important it is for us, as older people with health issues, to have reliable phone service. Since then, they have honored our request and have repaired our phone the next day. I have also asked them to deduct the days we didnt have service from our bill--which I think they should do automatically, but they dont. The repairman calls once it is fixed and he has been very helpful. In fact, the employees of Frontier have been considerate and professional, but not always knowledgable. Our Internet is expensive and we have only a few gigabytes during peak hours, which run from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m., so we always run out of gigabytes before the month runs out and it makes our connection even slower than usual. Sometime I add another gigabyte for $15, and need to request more to begin with, which will make our already high monthly bill even higher. We have the option of using one other company, Intelliwave, which, as I understand it, received federal funds to provide Internet service to rural areas. Although Intelliwave has a tower a mile from our house, it is not powerful enough to provide service to our home. They told us three years ago they were going to upgrade their equipment, but were still waiting.

Giving this service even one star is giving them too much credit. This company has you pay money for what is basically no service at all, and no customer support. Any employee working here doesnt even know what a ping is let alone how to provide Internet service or any other service. Please let this company die and be buried in an unmarked grave.

Terrible experience with frontier. Wasted 3 weeks going back an forth trying to get install set up, missed 2 says of work because they said someone would be there and no one showed. After 3 weeks they tell me internet is unavailable where i live. Frontier is a complete joke!
