Wonderful location, excellent equipment and just an overall energy that gives you vibes to enhance your workout. My friend Jill was manager here until recently as she has relocated for a position in the company in Southwest Ohio. You can see the mark she left on the place leaving it in top notch capabilities with a staff she taught and trained exceedingly well as is obvious from the courtesy and support of team member Robert Jacob. Guests told me how lucky we are to have her at my home club. Believe me I know how fortunate we are. Take care Athens. I enjoyed my time in your lovely community. Behave this halloween, lol.

Planet Fitness in Athens is a great resource for the local community. Clean and Professional! Their evening staff is great and accommodating. Jake and the evening staff were very helpful and sincere in encouraging my friend to get a Planet Fitness membership to assist his health.5 stars!

I love the atmosphere here at the Athens Planet Fitness. It does get busy during the fall and spring so prepare for a good amount of people. Good price for what you pay for and if they had a sauna it would almost be perfect.

Going to gym is not a thing post people would consider fun, but they make it fun here. With the way they have things set up, you can always feel comfortable going here. I do this that this is a fantastic place to go if you’re looking for something casual, yet different in its own way. They have bottled water, if needed, and their respond to the COVID-19 pandemic is fantastic. Though you’re allowed to take your mask off while working out, you are required to sanitise your area after you’re done; with the stuff that they provide. They always keep the temperature low, but not too low, so that you can be ensured that you won’t overheat.

They do a good job of cleaning and having people maintain social distancing and mask discipline. They always welcome me and my service dog(mainly the dog) with enthusiasm. Super hott manager on second shift and friendly workers.

Wow hope you never get sick and cant make it to cancel your membership you cant do that by phone or computer you have to do it by letter or in person they will turn you into collection. Besides they have no problem charging you full price even if the governor closes them. So please dont die if you have a membership they will keep charging you and turn your estate into collections since you cant write a letter or show up in person.

They wouldn’t let me cancel my membership, and when I tried they lied and told me it would affect my credit. Wouldn’t even give one star. Horrid customer service, also definitely not a “judgement free zone”.

I have been a PF member for years. I have never experienced any issues until tonight. I waited at the desk for 10 minutes waiting to be assisted. (I didn’t mind the wait because it was 11:30 at night) but usually the staff is always so nice and welcoming. My experience on 9/18/19 at 11:42pm was less than welcoming. The girl walked up from it looked like she was cleaning. (Which is what I figured why The desk was unattended.) She did not say hello or even crack a smile after I said hello and smiled. I work weird hours so having PF that is open 24 hours is a major perk for me, and I enjoy the amenities I get for $20 a month. I choose PF over my free gym at my apartment. I love PF in Athens, but the girl working tonight was not pleasant at all. Even as I was leaving she glared at me as I said “Thanks have a good night.” I hope she has a better day tomorrow and no one else feel the way that I do after leaving the gym tonight.

Excellent facility with Life Fitness machines, alot of them. Staff is very nice and attentive. Tanning is absolutely superb better than any place in LA. Clean and safe environment.

My go-to place. They make it easy to fit in and get a quality work out. Equipment clean and in working order. Easy to use. Instruction available at no additional cost. Happy place!

I love going to Planet Fitness in Athens. The gym is always clean and staff is awesome. The other day one of the staff members took the time out and she showed me different work outs for one of the machines that I was scared to use. I really appreciate their kindness and willingness to help. Thanks everyone at PF !!!

Your subscription gets”cancelled” but you continue to lose money to them for a year

I cant say enough good things about this gym. It is always clean, the staff is always on point and the facility itself well equipped. I feel well cared for every time I enter.

Very small and set up weird. If youre just passing through is fine or if you like working out in small areas it will be fine. I didnt like to set up at all.

Maybe people like it.. thats fine. I am a personal trainer as well as a bodybuilder and this type of gym does not suit. If you just want to say you go to the gym, then its great. But if you want to put real work in, look for a local gym to get what you need.

I havent used their services since they closed, for over 2 months, since the pandemic hit. I wrote into the headquarters during it to cancel my subscription while they were closed and recieved no reply or verification. Then as soon as they were allowed to open their doors again they smacked me with not only another month which I didnt want and their annual maintenance fee. Neither one was waived when I talked to the staff about it. Will not be a returning customer.

Planet fitness seems to have acquired this reputation as not being a real gym. What nonsense. The only things they dont have, are loose barbells, and dumbbells over 80lbs. Id never used a smith machine before, but I really enjoyed being able to squat and bench press on it, without needing a spotter. Its very clean, the staff was very friendly, they have nice locker rooms, plenty of machines, and if youre into it, tanning beds and water massage.Ive also always heard people ridicule them about the free pizza and free bagels. Its once a month. Its a nice thing to do, and it helps make the transition to a fitter lifestyle, more comfortable.Planet fitness is a great gym, and Id recommend it to anyone other than my power lifter friends.

This Planet Fitness is a very clean and welcoming gym. Though I want to see what the Lunk Alarm is all about, I cant imagine it going off at this gym because the staff and gym attendees have always been kind. This is a comfortable environment to get a work-out without the fear of judgement or the overwhelmingly loud music masking the grunts of the beefcakes.

Love this place so far. However, I think we need more than one trainer for all the classes offered. One trainer is not enough!!!

Employees need more training, they lie to you when you sign up. Also do not waste your time dealing with the manager I believe his name is either John or Matt. Extremely disrespectful and impolite subject with little to none people skills and he wants is you to sign and once you do that he becomes a Jerk.

Love this place! Planet Fitness has enough machines for everyone, added workout rooms for TRX, Abs and Stretching, and 30-minute circuit. The black card is worth it for the hydromassage, even though Im not much of a tanning person. And the bathroom and shower facilities are clean and roomy!

I have been going to Planet Fitness for years now across the country as I Travel. As I understand they are a judgement free zone and they pride themselves off of that. I am a fitness major and know the challenges for people getting back into living healthier life styles. I came in as a guest to check out this new facility. I was using the Smith Machine to Squat and lowered the safety bar to the floor. The safety handle slipped out of my sweaty fingers and dropped MAYBE 5 inches to the floor. To my surprise the Lunk alarm was buzzed and the whole facility was staring at me. I then had 3 employees following me around watching me the rest of my workout. I have never felt so uncomfortable in any gym. I am no Lunk. I am 54 and 125lbs. I find this judgement free zone NOT so judgement free.

Every time I go, there are plenty of machines open. The televisions are preset to bland channels but everyone is friendly.Only complaint is that since this is a franchise, this location does not have the same benefits on the back card membership as the location I used to frequent.
