We have multiple types of vehicles with 4 kids and 2 adult drivers in our house. Graffs has worked on our daughters Subaru Crosstrex, my other daughters Subaru Forester, my Toyota Sequoia and is taking care of my personal favorite now, our 1988 Dodge Raider. I have absolute confidence in this shop and would recommend family, friends, neighbors and strangers to them to be taken care of.
They are very interested in getting it right and resolving the problem to the best of their ability and tries to keep it affordable. Great place to work with.
I brought my s-10 Chevy pickup in to have the rear end driveline seal replaced. After a thorough inspection the transmission rear seal was found to be leaking also and three of the U-joints were wore out in time to be replaced. I now feel much safer. This is a locally owned and family run shop. I am very satisfied with the quality of the work and price.
Great people and great service. I was just passing through town and 2000 miles away from home and they stopped what they were doing to help me get my Jeep back on the road and get me on my way safely. Highly recommend.... Cant thank them enough.
The owner one day charges me $130 to get a job done then made an appointment with the owner and all of a sudden the price change to $285 after the kid was done.. after all that I said okay thank you for the good job but then think again when I pull over to get some food for my son and I because of the long wait at his shop where he does not have any waiting area that is safe for us to wait for my truck we have to wait out in the scolding Sun 3 hours for us just to have to come back for another 2 hours because my transmission started leaking all over the road what a place to visit 6 hours of my day and he lets me go with a burnt pulley and the last thing he tells me is Ill see you later bud what a *::**;;....you now what the guy did a good job the transmission is still kickin ... Good work needs to be recognize ...till this day 06/08/21 up date,
This place is the best! Fast & friendly & professional. They were able to work on my old van right away & did such a great job. And they have cookies. I will definitely be back! Thank you!
These guys had a full schedule, but took me in to make sure my brakes were safe for my trip. across the country. Extremely professional, communicative, and direct. I wish they were more places like this where I’m from.
I was visiting from out of town and my alternator failed at 2pm on a Thursday. They got me in THE SAME DAY and did an incredible job, new alternator and battery, super friendly, topped off my oil. I was back on the road by 4:30. Absolutely recommended.
This is an crapshoot podunk business who has horrible organization. Was unable to give time reference for when to get my vehicle in, and had not written down my appoint for my vehicle which was made in late July. So waiting a month to add a simple spoiler to the back was a complete waste of time. Ive gone to Varners in the past and will continue doing so. Unclear in rescheduling my appointment and customer service(whoevers picking up the phones) is the most unenergetic person Ive spoke to in a hot minute
Graf’s Automotive is the best. He and his team do great work and the experience in the shop is noteworthy. Nick does maintenance on all our vehicles and has had obstacles that his mechs have overcome. This shop is the best bang for the buck. Honest Loyal Service. The very best. Thanks Nick and the Grafs Team !!!
Great professional service very friendly from the mechanics, owner Nick and the office girls. great quality of work got me fixed up with exactly what i wanted in a timely manner at a very fair price i will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend them to anyone
Nick and his guys are top notch! Excellent service, quality work, and fair pricing. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
Very helpful, was able to get me in on one day notice prior to a holiday. Very professional, quick and the staff was pleasant to do business with. Easy on the wallet as well. Recommend!
I had my check engine light come on, called a place in Seaside, couldnt run a diagnostic for 30 days, called Grafs and they got me in within a half hour. Took it over there, ran the diagnostic and it was an easy fix with the gas tank cap. Fixed it in 15 minutes and sent me on my way. Very friendly and personal service, plus didnt charge me. My new go to place when my VW Tiguan needs serviced or the oil changed. Very impressed with the service I received. Dont hesitate to use these guys, they are great!
I will not be taking our vehicles anywhere else as long as this place keeps running the way it is now. It is a breath of fresh air these days to do business with a company that seems to value honesty and integrity. I have 2 rigs there right now. 1 was sitting at Oceancrest for over a week and they made no progress. Got it over to Grafs and they figured it out immediately. They have fixed my daughters rig also in the past and we have been happy with the repairs. Highly recommended
Noel responded to my call immediately. My battery went dead at a Astoria Oregon gas mart. He appeared within 20 minutes and was able to jump start our vehicle. We followed him to his garage. He installed a new battery and we were all set to go. Noel is very friendly, honest and dependable. We are on vacation, from Casper Wyoming. I would recommend Grafs Automotive strongly.
Excellent technicians really know their stuff.... Not just a mechanic theyre a family and really willing to help people out.
Excellent service! Called for a tow truck when my roadside assistance was taking too long. I was stranded with broken studs on my wheel. They got my vehicle in and taken care of pretty quick. Reasonable prices, friendly staff. I feel safe now that my vehicle is fixed. Highly recommend.
Quick, does good work, is conscious of peoples financial issues and works at keeping cost down.
Fast and professional. Excellent customer service!
I just started taking my cars to this auto repair shop. I was HAPPILY surprised, I did not feel like they seen me coming & thats seems to happen alot to myself & other people I know. Especially with being a women. It is like that with other auto repair shops. However, I did not feel that way at Graffs Auto repair shop. I will continue to go to them for my auto repair needs. I HIGHLY Recommend Graffs Auto repair. If your a women & have had bad experiences at other repair shops - contact Graffs Auto. Everyone there is very nice!
Gears automotive is the very best in the town I live in
Weve used Grafs for decades and love to refer people there. Honest, knowledgeable and reasonable. Great people, top notch service!
My go to for all my ars and trucks
They really know their stuff. Dont waste your time and money taking your car to the big city when you have experts in your backyard.
Wow! Amazing service. Got us in and out very quickly for a service that the dealership would have charged at least a thousand dollars for. Employees were so wonderful!
Just got my car back and am so thankful for their help! They even fixed another local mechanics screw up (thankfully it was simple but was costly to me having to buy power steering fluid by the gallon) they went above and beyond and I am very thankful to have my car back in working order!
Have been going to Nick for years! This trip was quoted a price and when I picked up the car the bill was half of what I’d been quoted. Some of the issue was less problematic than expected! That difference was passed on to me. I would never have known if he had done more or less work on my car. Fantastic business to work with!
Graf’s was outstanding! I was out of town when my alternator died at 4:00 PM on a Friday. AAA towed my car to Graf’s. The owner immediately ordered a new alternator and said the work would take one hour. We were out of there by 4:30!! We were so lucky that we didn’t have to wait until Monday. The folks at Graf’s are SO KIND and they went above and beyond for me!!!! Couldn’t thank them enough.
Great shop gave me a good price and was the only shop that could fix my truck and have me back on the road that same day.
We had a similar experience with our alternator going out in Astoria leaving us stranded an hour and a half from home. We had not been to Grafs before, but the tow truck driver recommended them. We plan to move to the area and are glad to find an excellent mechanic who is honest and cares about his customers.
Grafs held on to my vehicle for 10 business days with no communication after I dropped it off per their timeline. They charged me for better parts than they actually installed and when confronted with this issue made no attempts to resolve it. Definitely would not recommend.
Great
I love this shop! The owner Nick is awesome and gets the work done in a timely manner, plus a little extra. He recommends what needs to be done right away or how long it can be put off before it gets worse. The best automotive shop I have seen in many years.
The owners and workers are all extremely helpful. Theyre very upfront with any questions you have and will give the best recommendations they can. Extremely honest and I really appreciate that. Being from New England and a longtime older gen subaru enthusiast I am very particular about who I bring my Subarus too. Theyre well versed in these models and a ton of others. The pricing is fair and clear. The quotes are clear. And the labor is efficient timing(even for a NE native). They can totally work with you whenever they are available.
I wouldnt go to anyone but grafs automotive..they do a great job and their trustworthy..they go above and beyond for their customers
Great customer service! Worked with us quickly and efficiently. We feel peace of mind knowing where to take our car if problems arise in the future. Thanks Nick and Mike!
These guys made a bad day really wonderful - friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure I was able to get my car in early and get on my to work. Good service and affordable prices. Will recommend them to all of my friends - this is my go-to auto shop in Astoria now. Nick was friendly and very professional - a wonderful experience. :)
Friendly and wise mechanics! I couldnt thank them enough for getting my car up and running again!
So imagine you pack up the family, a 3 year old and 1 year old and decide you want to drive out to the coast. . And your car starts to smoke and you smell the sweet smell of radiator fluid with the overheat light on. . This is the worst case scenario right? Well if you are in or near by Astoria OR, you will be happy to know you can find a honest mechanic to work on your vehicle. . I was thinking even if it was a nothing problem no way Im getting out of here with out spending 300$. Not the case, diagnosed within 20 mins and had me and my family back on the road for 50$. . Hose clamp snapped. . Simple honest. . Also had called him at 1145 as guys were going on lunch.n. told him I was from out of town.. said have it here by 1 and Ill look at it. . I showed up with it towed at 1 and he did just what he said. . Started immediately working on it. . I would 100% recommend this shop. The owner was a pleasure to deal with.Thank you!
Super Service. Very highly recommended. We are from out of town and had some car trouble. They got us right in and fixed it up in a jiffy. Super appreciative and grateful we found such a great shop.
My 2001 Subaru was open-trailer hauled from Florida to Astoria, making the trip during that late December 2019 brutal midwestern winter storm. To load my car onto the transport trailer, they almost completely flattened my tires, then cinched it down super tight. Upon arrival up in Longview, all the cars on the rig looked like theyd taken a beating and as I watched them re-inflate completely flat tires and unload it, I could tell it was going to be highly unlikely that everything would be alright with my beloved Subaru, but it took a while to know just how wrong they were.A new, intermittent front end shimmy developed right away, grinding noises became more noticable and, with weekly commutes to OHSU in Portland, I was becoming less comfortable driving it. One day heading out 202, without warning and for no apparent reason, the steering became uncontrollable so I flashered off the road just outside of town, I Googled for a repair shop nearby and - thank God - thats how I found Grafs.Lindsey answered the phone on the first ring, she told me they could come get me but I told her I wanted to try and make it the 1.6 miles to the shop, going super slow. That hard shake that had driven me off the road just moments prior was *not there* when I headed out for the shop, but all the other issues were continuing to worsen and it was clear something significant was emerging. Once I got to Grafs, they took my car straight in and over the next 40 minutes, found 2/3rd of the problem. While I was waiting, I got to see several other customers come and go, and was able to get a feel for how well the business runs, and how friendly and kind everybody treats everybody else. It turns out, Lindsey answers almost all calls on the first ring & she works close and cooperatively with Nick, as the call unfolds, to get customers in when its most convenient for the customer.Nick had his guys take off my wheels, perform an analysis and safety inspection, the made sure my wheels were safely on (it felt like they might not be!) and after he assured me it was safe to drive, we made an appointment for my front axle and CV boots to be replaced but after that work was done, I was still getting some front end vibration that was worsening pretty quickly so back in I go.Nick Graf tells me theres a mechanic there, a young man, whos a bit of an engine-whisperer, that he was out driving my car to listen for the problem. How fascinating is that? When the young man got back, he described perfectly for Nick what Id been feeling (you could feel the whoomp whoomp whoomp vibrate through the brake pedal and floorboard) and hearing, and he diagnosed the problem as being the bearings. We made an appointment and in I went, and the young man was 100% right. When they got the warped bearings off, Nick brought one in the waiting area and spun it for me so I could hear, coming from it, the exact same noise Id been hearing as I drove. And as I spent 4+ hours in the waiting area, adjacent to the office, I got to see even more real life examples, in real time, of the extraordinary care, patience, kindness and concern that Nick, Lindsey and Glenene show to every single person through the door.I am so lucky I found them. You will be, too.BTW, Im a business consultant, strategist and analyst, so I know a little bit about how this should go, and so does everybody at Grafs. Now if I can just get Matt Graf to rent me that sweet Bluebird bus of his . . .Now, my 19+ year old car drives like its new. Go to Grafs.
Best place to take your car hands down.Nick is the best mechanic he is far with prices and fast with repairs. I would not take my car anywhere else.
HAD MY HUSBAND TAKE OUR CAR HERE THOUGHT IT WAS BACK BREAKS MAKING NOISE. GRAFS TOOK THE WHEELS OFF AND IT WAS NOT THE BREAKS THEY JUST WERNT PUT ON RIGHT FROM THE LAST OWNER. THEY FULLY INSPECTED ALL WHEELS AND SAVED ME 200$ HONEST MAN. WE APPRECIATE YOUR HONESTY AND WILL RETURN AND RECOMMEND YOU ! THANKS
It was MLK day we were on vacation and our alternator quit. We really lucked out. Nick squeezed us in and made the repairs quickly professional and at good price. Thank you
I trust these guys
Nick is very reasonable and willing to workwith you to get any problems fixed. I recentlyhad this shop install brand new CV Driveaxles on my 2011 Corolla, the Drive axlesfailed immediately after getting the servicedone, which was not the fault of themechanic but sometimes it happens.Luckily I had thisshop install brand new axles, and they werewarranted through NAPA Auto Parts.
Good place to get car quickly fixed
Consummate professionals one and all. I took my 1972 mustang in for some upgrades: new front end, quick ratio steering gearbox, front disc brake conversion, and dual exhaust.......I couldnt be happier with the results. These guys transformed my head turner into something truly exceptional.....a bad ass car that now sounds and drives as good as it looks. Thank you Nick and company. From this day forward youre my first choice mechanics for all of my automotive needs.I forgot to mention that his incredibly fair estimate was overshadowed when the final bill came in lower than the estimate....again, kudos to Nick for being incredibly accurate and fair. I just wish that I could have a similar experience with the rest of the local business community......dont get me wrong, everyone else around here is good, but Nick takes his business to well beyond good.....he and his colleagues are exceptional in their trade.Sincerely,John Siri
I cant say enough about how helpful and professional Nick and his entire shop were during a recent road trip emergency. After breaking down and being towed I ended up at Grafs Automotive and was so lucky I did. Nick went above and beyond to help me out and get me back on the road the next day. I only wish his auto shop was in my home town as he would have a customer for life! Thank you Nick and Grafs Automotive!!
I dont know much about cars, but I needed a new muffler. I dropped off my 79 Volvo, and they had it done at what I would say is a reasonable price within an hour. No complaints.
Phenomenal customer service, knowledgeable mechanics, and very fairly priced. Best automotive shop I have ever found.
Got a Honda? Go to Grafs, they are fast and friendly with a Honda tech, saved a lot of headache and money from using others in the area. Thank you Grafs.
Worst shop, tow it somewhere else!!!! Charged me 200$, didn’t fix what I came in for, And told me that they had done work on it the they had not!! Nick’s a very subpar mechanic(and that’s being loose with the term mechanic) DON’TWASTE YOUR TIME!!!
Wonderful people; They found the problem and started working on my Truck right away! The didnt just fix the one thing I thought was wrong, instead they investigated and saved me money by fixing the real problem!Thank you Grafs automotive!
I live down in bend Oregon and I drive my vehicles specifically to nick Graff. Always honest and reasonable. Very knowledgeable and masterful with his craft. Im sitting in here right now in his shop getting my auxiliary tank installed without a worry in my mind knowing its going in right, and if I have questions about it I can call and have them answered promptly. Thank you for everything.Prest
Amazing people amazing service. Roadtripping the northwest had a few too many rough travel roads in the Subaru. Pulled into Grafs Tuesday morning ... They put me up on the lift immediately checked out the underneath fixed the exhaust holes and got me going back o nthe road !!!These guys are amazing I highly recommend them. I scoped out half a dozen shops before stopping here!!! Right decision!
The mechanics are very knowledgeable and nice. They seem very honest and thorough!
Honestly... You couldnt find a better place to take your vehicle. They are super honest and get the job done without charging you an arm and leg. Grafs is always my first choice.
Great family owned shop. Honest and friendly.
Pulled my travel trailer from Bend with my 3500 Dodge; arrived to camp for weekend at Ft. Stevens but was hearing a screech that kept getting worse upon stop and start up. NO shop in town had availability for days or weeks out (I talked to six at least)...Nick Graf said bring it in later, but I was around the corner so I stopped by. In minutes they had it pulled in, severely worn bearing on pulley located, bad part out, new part on the way...and fixed within two hours! Paid a fair expeditated rate which saved me money later, time and the safety of my family. Great, honest, friendly service!!! :) thanks
Bought a 1500 dollar truck with a few problems. Keep taking it in and they keep fixing it. Honest shop, honest business, great mechanics.
I’m in the middle of a 3 week road trip when suddenly my window wouldn’t go back up. I drove to Graf’s first thing in the morning and he immediately got my car in and the window back up. I couldn’t be more thankful for the help and getting me back on the road so quickly! You guys rock!
My 1996 BMW 318ti had a chronic driveshaft vibration problem. Two different Seattle shops failed to solve the problem. Nick drove the car, ordered the parts and fixed it. And he did it for an amazingly reasonable cost! We will be going back for both the BMW and our Mini. This is our first experience with Grafs but it could not have been more positive.
Would not go anywhere else. Fair prices, no upcharges, and if it does not need to be fixed you will be told. No surprises from folks. They are top notch all the way. Graf automotive is the only auto service that works on my vehicles
They do great work.
They do good work at a fair price when i need anything done its going to grafs.
I highly recommend this place!
Great nice people! Helped us quickyly with our troubles on our trip! Thanks!
Nick has helped me more than words express. I HIGHLY recommend this place for fair pricing, years of experience, and old fashioned work ethic staff.
Nick the owner helped avoid every travelers nightmare as multiple dashboard light came on Friday before holiday weekend 300 miles from home. The first place called said they couldnt help, but referred me to Grafs which when called said bring it on over. Diagnostics said my Honda Pilot needed #3 cylinder coil replaced. Nick called around and discovered the none of the Honda Dealers had any and the closest one was at a NAPA Warehouse in 67 miles away. To cut the story short, the problem was solved that day. Nicks comment to me was that that he goes out of his way to help others in need. I wish we had an owner like Nick with a shop like his in our town.
Busy little shop run by good, honest people. I take all my automotive business to Grafs.
Great shop good prices and great service
Terrible man.Paid him to fix something and it broke in 3 days.He would not do anything to fix the problemVery bad man do not go to him
Sadly, I was ripped off of my $50 for a pre-purchase car inspection because I do not live in Astoria; apparently I would have had a more thorough inspection if I was in his area and came to his shop- as told to me later on by the owner Nick Graf.I asked Nick to look over a car I was interested in; to tell me about what repairs may be needed, if its reliable, etc. He sounded like a very nice guy on the phone; he told me the car checked out great and needed nothing- I trusted him fully.I bought the car, and it was driven about 400 miles- now Im broken down. Ive had 2 different auto shops tell me (one for $50, another for FREE) many things the car needs just to be reliable; simple things just on-top on the motor that are clearly visible- new breather hoses (the current are old and cracked, pulling in too much air), new antifreeze tank (the current is old and cracked), new spark plugs and coils (the car hesitates with power), new brakes and rotors all around (I was told by Nick Graf that the brakes where good) (They are squeaking- down to the metal- rotors down to nothing), new shocks and struts (the current are worn and cracked up badly,) and to top if off, Nick tells me that the oil was good (it was black as night).I have called him, trying to reason and share my side of the story- telling him I would have paid more money for a good inspection if I would have known his practices; have asked him for a full to half refund- anything. He tells me hes spent all this time on the phone with me (what? youre a business that serves people) using up his time (20 minutes total.) He actually admitted he could have done a better job, and has hung up on me twice now, telling me to never again call again- which I wont- but unfortunately, I will review him and report him to the BBB.I would have been fine with all of this if he actually took some time to look at the car and tell me a few things; having 2 other shops tell me basically the same things as far as repairs that are needed for descent reliability tells me he didnt do a thing to the car.I have had great relationships with mechanics all over the USA throughout my years- Nick Graf is one of the worst I have ever encountered in the USA- I guess Im not a local and get different treatment. Now Im repairing my new car that needs thousands of dollars in work; I wouldnt have bought this car if I had known what 2 other shops have told me about it. As Nick Graf has told me- $50 bucks is $50 bucks- well, thats what Im telling you too Nick, and also, to call you out on your untrustworthy word which sounded so trustworthy, unfortunately.
Always good service great guys been going there for years!!!
Honest, friendly and professional.
Will never go back, why get charged twice, for the same work ...
Great service and always willing to stop and check a service light or a funny noise. I have been using Grafs for years and I have brought fleet vehicles as well my personal vehicles for repairs and routine maintenance.
Couldnt be a nice group of guys and get it done right the first time
2 of the 3 tasks completed. Charged extra, 3 days longer in the shop, and no courtesy call about any of the above issues. The check engine light was on upon return to me. Problems missed in diagnostic or damage done in shop.
Excellent service! :-)
Fast fair and friendly
Kind of pricey.
A+
