When we first came to see Ali Zibaie for marriage counseling we were broke and could not communicate to one another. We had even met with a divorce attorney and we’re introduced to Mr. Zibaie for mediation. He not only saved our marriage by helping us learn how to communicate effectively, he helped us budget and get our lives together! We only met him for 6 months and I’ve referred many of my friends to him — I cannot thank him enough for not giving up on us even when we had given up on ourselves.

Ali was a great therapist to work with. My partner and I went to see him to work on our relationship and ourselves. His worldly knowledge and experience played a huge role in how helpful he was for our situation. Having originally contacted Ali for help processing a particular recent event, in which he was beyond accommodating in assisting me with, he has actually proven to be a true compass for every aspect of my life. He is a beautiful and understanding soul who is so incredibly knowledgeable and innovative in the application of his practice. I have seen multiple other therapists, and even spent extensive time with HorseSense, which is a local program that integrates horses with therapy, and even as an avid equestrian, I can honestly say that Ali is the most helpful and healing therapist I have ever seen. I have known Ali for several years now. I have always found solid advice from him. Thankfully I have not been in a life changing situation, however my job causes a lot of mental stress, and having someone to use as a sounding board and the occasional wise words to live by helps tremendously! I have been to many many counselors. All of which dont compare to Alireza. He is more than just a therapist, hes a good friend. Ive been going to him for about two months and its changed everything. I was going to my last counselor for about five months and me and Alireza have accomplished more in one session than I would have in one month at my other counselors. He is extremely qualified to engage and work with anyone I believe.

Being a foreigner I was concerned about not being fully understood.I feel very lucky to have my first therapy experience with Ali Zibaie. The fact that hes young and from a different culture made me feel very comfortable to open up and I immediately felt I could trust him (which doesnt happen very often for me). My husband and I started seeing Ali several months ago..I honestly feel that God put Ali in our lives. My husband always has nothing but goods things to say about Ali when I try to ask about their sessions. And as for me ..When I come to a session. I m always so burden .I feel as though Im carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders. I was sharing with him concerns that I had about my son and daughter, and he was willing to assist me with my son and spoke about his resources and how he was willing to help with my daughter. This young man is very knowledgeable and professional and Im so thankful that hes there for my family and me.

Had a few deaths in my family back to back, in addition to my 14 year old dog, Duke, dying, all within a month. I began to spiral downward into old habits as I met with Ali. I lack the ability to express the emotions he helped me get through on a google review. I cannot thank him enough for being there not only when I needed him the most. I have never met someone that I have been able to open up to as I did (and still do) as he. I honestly cant express how much I gained personally from counseling sessions with Ali. He provided me with the support I needed, and pushed me to work through personal obstacles that I struggled with for years. Also as a side note, it was really important for me to find a culturally competent counselor, who utilized an intersectional approach. Ali was aware, knowledgeable, and nurturing of all of my identities, and utilized the intersectional approach that I needed.

I have a 7 year, very painful past, with substance abuse. During that time I have been in and out of rehabs. I have seen more counselors than I can even count or remember. I have sought my healing under every rock I could turn over.I hit a very, very new low last year. After losing basically everything, a friend referred me to Alireza. I was living in Indiana at the time but word got to me, several states away, that his approach was unique and effective.My friend was way too modest with her chosen adjectives. Alirezas approach is like nothing Ive ever encountered. When we talk my soul screams yes!.He challenges the paradigm around addiction... which is SO needed. There is a reason rehabs only have a less than 10% recovery rate. He recognizes addiction for what it is: a symptom of a greater issue. He works in so many fascinating levels to destroy the illusion and power that addiction has over the mind.For the first time in my life things dont feel hopeless. For the first time I feel like answers are coming.I highly, HIGHLY recommend Alireza for those that feel like the system doesnt work for them. He will challenge you in ways you have never been challenged. He will eliminate the shame based identity that, I feel, most addicts fight. I put addicts in parenthesis because AA tells me Im: Kara the addict. For some AA/NA works, and I have nothing but respect for those people, they are some of the kindest souls I have ever met.However, for me personally, it boxed me in.I am Kara... a girl who simply needs a new way of thinking. So for anyone who can relate to this feeling:Ali taught me that I am not that label.
