John was great! Quick and easy to talk to. He took care of me and my son. We have found our regular stop from here on out.

I’m disappointed to find out that my son stopped by and the lady sat him down ready to do his hair and he told her what he needed ( he’s mixed with African American hair ) he needed a quick close cut on the sides and back. Basic and easy. She told him another guy would have to do it after looking him over and then said the guy could get to him after he went to lunch. Another guy sat with an empty chair and asked if he had an appointment. He was upset and felt that they didn’t even try to accommodate him. Won’t be going back. We found Hudson’s Family Barber Shop right across the street where they were friendly and sat him right down.

Went to give it a try at 3:30 on a Saturday and they were already closed. I would have asked if it was okay to get a cut, but I would have preferred the choice. May give it another look, but for now was kind of disappointed after reading all the good reviews.Edit to add stars for a quick answer about why - Honestly, if there had been a sign stating that, Id not have given it a second thought. Ill still come back to give it a try though, I promise.

Open for business. The sign in sheet was moved outside with instructions to include your phone number and wait in car until called. I didnt make it to my car. Facemask was optional for customers. It looked like they had a supply available for use at the front desk. Ive been going here for years, and they continue to provide the same great service. If youre in desperate need of a haircut like I was, head to Johns.

Do not let Alicia cut your childs hair. Weve been going to this barbershop for about a year.Anyone else who works there deserves a 5 star review....but she butchered my sons hair.

Not good i went to get my hair cut and they where almost done and i said are you going to do the edge up and the person that attended me said that she dose not do edge ups and i was like WHAT!! how do you not know and a guy named John tried to do it and he did it all bad he went to deep

This shop has a very friendly old time barber shop feel to it. John is in the back and is one that can give you the works, when it comes to getting a haircut and giving you a straight razor shave. They also have another guy who can give you straight razor shave and does just as good of a job. Other than that, there is three friendly women up front who are all very good at hair. I have gone there for two years and would recommend it for any Men or boys haircut.

I have never walked out of shop feeling as satisfied as I did this morning. Clearly experienced staff and it shows. I’m not much of a talker in the seat and I didn’t feel uncomfortable being quiet or pressured to maintain a conversation during the service (as some places will do). Simply stated my request and Susan nailed it!

They do a great job. Always suggest good styles for your hair, always ask if you want a bit of the extra services they provide. (Eyebrows, classic neck shave etc.)

It literally took less than 3 minutes from the second I walked in the door for me to realize this place is exponentially better than any chain. Having not been to a barber shop since I was 5 with my great grandfather, Im glad I made the trip here. Krisha gave me a better cut than Ive ever gotten anywhere else, plus they throw in a neck shave for a $15 cut. Definitely going to bring my sons here from now on.

This place belongs to a very friendly family. It’s a very warm and nice place because they keep it classy. I always go with my husband on Sundays! Best thing about this place is that they do everything to make you feel great! After every haircut you get a neck massage that leaves you completely satisfied.

Krisha quickly learned what I like to have every time I come in, and she does a good job of cutting my hair exactly like I want it. Hidden in the strip center, these is a great place to get a hair cut. I would recommend giving it a shot! Typically busiest on Tuesdays or weekends.

However, as a guy who tends to DREAD getting his hair cut, I must say that my trip to Johns Barbershop was definitely above my average haircut experience (2.5 stars above it to be exact)!Since I started college, Ive strictly gone to dime-a-dozen, franchised haircut chains. Unsurprisingly, I was never really satisfied with the final results once I paid and left. This time around, however, I decided to do some hunting. I finally landed on Johns Barber Shop because of 1) its unanimously stellar online reviews and 2) its attractive mom-and-pop-shop qualities.Just seconds after walking in (no appt. needed), I was promptly seated. My barber/cosmetologist Krisha proceeded to expertly give me EXACTLY the cut I wanted, plus a straight-razor shave, shampoo/massage, and a memorable haircut experience to boot (all for only $15). I now know that I can return in confidence, and get just the style Im looking for (thanks Krisha)!Overall, Johns Barbershop has a small-town barbershop feel, without the long waits one might expect to come with. Been getting haircuts here for almost 10 years. Competitive price to your chain cuts but better and friendlier service. Get the straight edge neck shave as part of your haircut for sure!

I flew in and Google barber, Joes popes up 1st, and the 4.7 star rating got me in the door. It was the incredible hair cut that is going to get me back in next week. You can spend 40$ on a hircut like the one I was given today, but I didnt have to, since the price was so reasonable, I can afford to look and feel this good everyday. Thanks Krisha!

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! I went there to get my hair cut. Guy name John who cut my hair and did not do good job. He don’t care about you. he keep disappear while cutting my hair and goes to cut other Customers hair in middle of my hair cutting. Big disappointment.

Best in North Arlington! Ive been bringing my 7yr old son here for over a year now, & theyre all really good but... Susan is our favorite! This is the only place I found in the area where they actually know how to do a modern day pomp, stocked with quality hair products (no moco de gorilla), theres no loud trap music playing or telenovelas on tv, and everyone treats you like family. ☺
