Very professionally run barber shop. Its $20 for a regular cut, but includes a hot towel and short massage at the end. The only thing I would point out is they ask you to tip in cash only, which was a little surprising.

Good haircut. They used technique (clipper over comb) that was different than I was used to. Precision was 7/10. Line up was ok. The clippers were a little worn out so they aggravated my skin. Massage at the end was nice.For the price, a solid value.

My old barber moved away so I’ve been in the process of trying new places. Was surprised by the reviews on here and decided to try it out. Well, don’t get Kristine. Asked for a one of the sides with a fade. She proceeded to take a one all the way to the top, no fade whatsoever. She also had me turned around so I couldn’t see what was happening until too late. I was in and out in about 10min which shows you how much fidelity was considered when cutting my hair.

Classic barbershop cut - she took the time to make sure the details were immaculate. Clippers on the sides, scissors on the top, hot towels, razor shave on the back of the neck and around the ears - not a hair out of place. Then I got a scalp massage that felt so good I almost fell asleep in the chair. Real expertise at a very reasonable price.

Honestly one of the best haurcuts Ive gotten in recent memory and definitely the lowest price Ive ever paid for one. The scalp massage is fantastic too.Definitely going to be a regular customer here in the future.

Walked in at 1pm on a Monday and didnt have to wait at all. Got a really good haircut (they know how to cut Asian hair properly!) + the hot towel / head massage that was included. Total price was $18, which you really cant beat, especially for the location and quality. Would totally recommend!

I should have known by the fact that two guys ahead of me skipped their turns in favor of someone else. Aside from just being generally sloppy and not fading anything, she truly just didn’t even understand hair. I asked her to take about 3/4” off the top. She gets my hair wet and straight, takes an inch off my bangs, and then acts like the haircut was done. When I told her she still needed to cut the top, she legit looked at me confused. I honestly cannot believe that she cuts hair for a living. She must only cut newcomers and children.I bet there are good barbers here, so I’m not going to advise that you go elsewhere. Just make sure you don’t get Kristina.

The best barber shop in Arlington hands down! After getting your hair cut there a couple of times the barbers will recognize you and your easily queued up with your favorite barber. The hot towel and lather shave when they clean up the back of your neck alone is worth picking this place; as is the scalp manipulation and neck massage.This place is a great value and I highly recommend them.

Legit barbershop. Been going for 2 years and always a good cut.

For my first visit, I asked for a high and tight and they messed it up. It was uneven and my girlfriend made fun of me. I am a nice guy, so I figured I would gave them a second chance. What a mistake. They f***ed it up big time. When I ask for zero on the sides, I dont expect to see any hair behind my ears... but thats what I found. It was like misplaced sideburns. How can a barber mess a high and tight? Its literally the easiest haircut. To the barber: spare the unnecessary neck massage and focus on cutting hair, please.Also, they do not use disposable razors for shaving, so beware of diseases some guy before you could have had.Such a horrible place.

I come here when I am in a hurry I never have to wait long. I come in and I am able to be in and out within 20 min or less. I have been here a couple of times and every hairstylist is different. Ive had good haircuts here and average ones. I really enjoy the massage at the end, its very nice and is different from most barbershops. They take credit cards here. Haircuts are a little more expensive then most places for mens haircuts but the message and cut is always a safe bet.

I have been a customer for 14 years. Over the last few months I saw the quality of my hair cut decline with the same barber. Her attention was focused on her cell phone, talking to others, etc...with less attention on my hair. when finished and combed, it was difficult to see the flaws in her cut until I got home.The last time was the absolute worst haircut I have had in my 54 years of life. The hair on one side of the top was almost 1.5 inches longer than the other side, and uneven on top on nearly the entire head. She then tried to use the excuse of the lights when I informed her it was due to not paying attention. When finished adjusting (which is still uneven), I told her after 14 years, I would never be back. I always left $10+ tip, so there was a bonus to pay attention.Like all things, we eventually move on, but never before have I moved on due to quality issues from the same barber. Unfortunate.

There was no wait when I walked in midday on a Saturday. The barber did not speak English very well, but did ask clarifying questions. I got the low-fade haircut I wanted and it looks good. The barber took her time to do a good job. The $18 price seems reasonable given the urban location, I havent compared prices at other barbers.Update: After requesting a low-fade the past two haircuts, Ive been given a haircut many of my co-workers call a high-and-tight. I agree with them, and the lack of English skills of my barber each time has resulted in my instructions not being followed.

This place is great for a haircut. The ladies are always nice and very upbeat. When you go, make sure youre not in a rush. It takes a solid 30 mins for a haircut, which includes upper back massage and hot towel on the face. The cut hair well, treat their customers well, and are always busy but the wait is always short. The staff tend to half way listen to what youre asking for, that alone is worth 3 stars. Although they do tend to speak in foreign languages to each other while having the ability to speak English, and by body language and responses, it is clearly about the customers, I have only been had mediocre service once. They provide free water for customers and the wait time never seems to be more than 15 min so if youre in a hurry, this is not a bad option. Quality of the cuts (and Ive had several different stylists) is about a 6.5 out of 10.Pricing is on par for the area.I seem to always be able to find parking right out front.

You can have a haircut anywhere, but this place will give you a great head and scalp massage with the haircut. That is the main reason I usually come to this place. I had experienced this kind of service in Asia. I like The place, and people are nice and friendly.

Best part about it, after the haircut and razor cleanup you get a warm towel with a short head and shoulder massage all included in the very reasonable price. $18. Cant pass that up.

They can NOT cut curly hair. Every time they asked me to check if the cut was ok I told them to even up the cut on the top of my head. My barber repeatedly lopped off more and more hair, never managing to make it even. Not even worth the $18 I spent on the cut, youd have to pay ME to give me a cut like this.

I just moved in Ballston area recently and have been going to Ballston Barber Shop for a haircut and a facial massage for a reasonable price. Everytime after a haircut, they provide a hot towel head massage which I love. The ladies are very professional and provide good haircut everytime. Talking about a facial massage, oh I highly recommend. The price is only $16 and it helps to relieve the tension and muscle around the head after long hours of working and party too much..

Went here in a pinch... One of the few places open on a Sunday. She barely cut my hair as if to mitigate the damage. You can get a much better haircut for a few more bucks at Instyle in Courthouse. Awkward massage just added to the cheap vibe I got here.

Ive been going there for almost 4 years...only because its convenient and there was one lady there that was good at cutting hair. Shes gone now and Ive done a full rotation of all the ladies there again to try to find one that would cut my hair well. Each of them left me with either an uneven haircut, nicks in my hair, or waaay too short of a haircut (after telling them not to cut it too short). Ive finally made the decision that there is no hope left for this place.

I dub this one the Kamikaze Haircut. The reason is because you have absolutely no idea what you are in for and the haircut mortality rate is, from what I have read, pretty high.I went in there because I heard about the neck and head rub (which was actually pretty good). Once I walked in, I sat down, very pleased with myself that I had found this great deal and that I was surrounded by chatty, giggly and young Asian women. By the smirk on every other jerks face in there I could see that I was not alone in my thoughts.However, as soon as my lady asked me what I wanted for my haircut (in broken English), I tried to explain. I want my whole hair cut proportionately shorter by about 4 cm (using my fingers to show her). She proceeded to say something in Cantonese to the lady next to her and they both started pointing at this poster from the 80s with 8 terrible haircuts. There was actually one with a guy in a business suit sporting a flattop. I could see instantly that we were not on the same page.As I tried to repeat what I thought were simple instructions, the two ladies started laughing at me and pointing at some dude who looked like he dated the chick with the Dragon Tattoo. Very frustrated, I looked around the room in disbelief, only to find that the smirk I noticed when I walked in on everyones face was not contentment at all. It was adventure. They were all giving me a knowing look, like I have no idea what my lady is doing either, just go with it bro.I also noticed that every single person was facing the center of the room and not the mirror. This ruled out me at least being able to tell if she was about to pull out a 4 inch hair trimmer and turn me into Natalie Portman from V for Vandetta.As this point, I started laughing to myself, relized that resistance was futile, then laughed aloud and told her to proceed. I only yelled two more instructions that I thought completely necessary in the spur of the moment, Just no bullcut! And no Johnathan Taylor Thomas! They, of course, started cracking up also. I expected this, and laughed back making sure not to show any teeth.I cant say that I was completely unhappy with my haircut when I left. Mainly, because the head massage felt really good and I was laughing about the whole experience. But they were completely unable to produce a very simple haircut that required one sentence to explain.Takeaway: You get what you pay for and I have not been back since.
