Sorry, long post...Apparently, theyve been purchased by a new company and it sucks for us as the consumer.My car was there a week before the battery was changed. Due to the change, there were no loaner cars at this time. After, 5 days I called just to check to see whats going on... what I recieved is... we are busy you will get your car,when you get it. Not those words but, that was my understanding .. I received my car and noticed after I looked at my bill today, I was charged a $75 fee for them looking at a second problem. Mind you, this is really what caused the battery to die.Only one person was nice enough to explain everything. It is very frustrating to have your car unexpectedly quit. The least the person answering the main line can do is be compassionate and competent. I gave him all the information about my car, then had to repeat it all again after he told me he wrote it down! So, my suggestion is a real brush up on customer service is required.

Im recently looking for a repair specialist for my jaguar and came across Sam & Joes. Remembered in 2013 I took my 2006 Audi a3 with 87,0000 miles there with a transmission issue. The only thing they would offer was replacing it with a used transmission and 30 day warranty. Im glad I declined, with alot more research and using a different shop. I ordered a control module (mechatronics unit) part cost @ 900 had it installed and drove that thing over 200,000 mile before getting rid of it.

Had my cars radiator issue fixed at sam and joes and they did a great job

Also changed oil and filter; and checked all fluid levels and replenished as needed.Staff is very friendly, helpful, and professional. Joe called me to confirm the services that I had requested in my email. That included a complete inspection of my Miata because it had been sitting in the garage for five months; I could drive it because of my sore knee. After servicing my car, Joe asked me about my knee. Wow! Four days after our phone conversation, he remembered about my knee and took the time to ask me how I was. Thats great personal service!

2014 BMW 528i had a problem with oil filter housing and thermostat. Did the quality work.

Terrible spent over 4K on a vehicle to be repaired advised they had warranty after 3 weeks car break down they refused to fix vehicle after they did damage. Terrible customer service scam do not do business with this Shop Adam and Josh will take advantage of you and cheat you out your money.

Recently my Audi developed a steady oil leak. They did a thorough inspection, and gently broke the news to me that the leak was deep within the motor (involving major labor time). They worked the best they could on pricing, got me into a loaner vehicle, and best of all, my Audi is running flawlessly. I have used them since I purchased the vehicle, and have always been very pleased with the service and communication.

This was my first time taking my car to this shop. If you’re on a budget, definitely don’t come here. Overall, they fixed my car but I probably could have gotten it fixed cheaper somewhere else.

If you want to over pay for the job then this is the place for you. I got charged almost $400 to fix wire on my car. And then they will try to use scare tactics and tell you everything else is wrong with your car. To get more money out of you obviously

I can’t thank Sam & Joe’s enough for the excellent service, but more importantly the level of integrity they showed me when servicing my car. It’s so easy for mechanics to say one thing and do another but that wasn’t the case with them. They Initially diagnosed the problem which came with a significant cost but when they probed deeper they found they discovered it wouldn’t be nearly as expensive as initially thought. I am very thankful and highly recommend them for anyone looking for honest and caring service technicians.

Dropped my vechile off for a battery change, next day no back up camera, no radio, and no generosity from the staff saying we will waive the diagnostic fee of up to $500 because you are a loyal customer that spends thousands of dollars with us on all your vechiles.I know in my heart they messed up my system everything was working prior to them touching my car!! Im a business owner as well and the majority of my business is from word of word, well I will have my friends and myself resort back to the dealership. I am not happy with Sam and Joes.

I would definitely recommend Sam and Joe’s to anyone who is looking for a professional shop to service their European model car. Mike is the first person that I interacted with when I brought my Benz in for service last year. He is very knowledgeable, professional and always kept me informed on the progress of service on my vehicle. Recently, I purchased a Jaguar and naturally took it to Sam & Joe’s to have a bumper to bumper inspection. Joe, one of the owners, spent time explaining the different aspects of the vehicle and passed along a lot of information that I was not familiar with being that this was my first Jag vehicle. During the inspection, the mechanics found a tie-rod issue that I was not aware of when I purchased the vehicle. Mike took the time to explain the details of the service. They repaired it in a timely fashion and also gave me the old parts. Love the fact that they offer shuttle service which is very convenient. Hector is a very professional and courteous driver. I have a very comfortable feeling bringing my vehicle to Sam and Joe’s as I know that it is in good hands with the certified mechanics that have experience and knowledge on European vehicles. I am grateful to have a honest auto repair shop that I can depend on.

I spent 12,000 dollars at Sam and Joes yeah a lot of money I know They replaced the timing chains and fixed the AC I picked up my car and it was having issues so I took it back to them it was the fuel injectors they fixed that free of charge which they should have because I had no fuel injector problems prior to the visit. I picked up my car again my key fob wouldn’t lock or unlock the doors had to take it back to get programmed. I picked my car up once again not even 30 minutes of having it back my check engine light came on it was the catalytic converter which I had no problems with prior to my visit ended up taking it to Jaguar letting them fix it instead which they told me they would of done the same job they did for 9,000 that’s 3,000 less here we are 7 months later my AC went out I’m still under the 2 year warranty but having to pay 235 just because I had a shop add Freon to it instead of just taking it to them I guess it’s my fault for trying to see if it needed freon after spending 12,000 that should of been free!

I randomly chose this shop to work on our Audi after basically being blown off by dealerships. Unfortunately we cant take our car to just any shop. I was completely surprised when we showed up for the appointment this morning! Super clean office and waiting area! Mike listened to our needs, and exceeded our expectations. We have a short list of repairs that still need to be done. Mike graciously helped us prioritize the remaining repairs. Zero pressure to put ourselves in a financial bind to have everything done at once

I brought my 1996 SL500 to Sam & Joes after it had been sitting in a garage for 4 years...it needed some TLC. The car drives great now! Ive got some more work to get done...the top hydraulics...and Ill take it back to Sam & Joes to get that done. They are courteous and work with you to get the right stuff done when it needs to get done. I have been a customer for about 25 years now (i was out of Arlington for a few of those years, but I came back for their service).

Miguel was very accommodating, he got the part I requested when he said he would. It was actually cheaper than he quoted.

We have a 2006 Volvo XC90 and Sam & Joes always take great care of my vehicle. The prices are very reasonable and competitive. I will not take our Volvo anywhere else.

They sent a tow truck to pick up my car because it wasnt starting. They diagnosed the issue and had my car working again in a couple of days. They also picked me up from my house to take me to get my car. Definitely not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Ill bring my S Class to them for any future work.

This was my first experience with Sam and Joes. I took my Mercedes in for a quick top off for oil. They quickly took care of my request.As I drove off and headed on the highway, smoke was everywhere and I called to Sam and Joes immediately. I took the car back and found a loose cap that was not put on correctly. As soon as I pulled in, I was greeted by a technician who took my car into the work bay and I was taken to my car where they made sure to show me the mistake that was made. Even Sam, the other owner, came over and called the tech who worked on my car to take care of it.I was impressed at the level of customer service and a willingness to correct their mistake right away. Joe was cordial, polite, and went out of his way to make sure that the job was done correctly...they went above and beyond to make me happy. I am thrilled and satisfied with their level of work and customer care. I will be taking my car back for them to take care of it.

NEVER AGAIN!My car is only 5 years old and Ive been taking it to Sam and Joe since my purchase. I will never bring my car back. I brought my fully working car in for a battery replacement. After replacing my battery, I experienced extreme electrical problems. I cant let any of my windows down, nor can I unlock or lock my car. The manager, Johnathan, blamed me for the problem and refused to negotiate the problem. Obviously, showing loyalty to this company isnt important. Instead, I have to get someone to fix what Sam and Joe destroyed. Honesty, loyalty and putting customers first is definitely not a requirement for this company. They say they are committed to providing the highest quality and within budget. That statement was completely false because I shouldnt have to pay for their mistake!

I have been loyal customer at Sam and Joes for over 15 yrs because they provide with service at reasonable rates and the staff is both professional and very friendly. They possess the expertise to repair a wide variety of luxury cars.

Had to take my Range Rover back to them several times, first time with an new leak because they did not seal properly and they would find new things to explain why warning lights kept coming on. Charged thousands of dollars and kept t trying charge more.

This place has some fraudulent employees and owners. I left my car there a few days ago because it was leaking oil. When I picked it up, I drove it 51 miles and it broke down in the middle of the highway. What happened was these guys left metal shavings in the engine, even though that was never an issue to begin with. Then these people have the audacity to want to charge me extra fees when I already paid them $1900 for the oil leak issue even though the car broke down the next day after I picked it up. I literally paid them $1900 for nothing. My car does not drive anymore. Then they want to charge me $6300 for a new engine even though they cost around $1500 anywhere else, so right away I knew these people at Sam and Joe’s were cheats. The mechanics are incompetent. These people are frauds. Do NOT do business here.

Price was great, service was great, seemed very honest in all of the items I had them look at and fix. Better than the BMW dealer, in my opinion, as Ive had some really bad experience. Wasnt sure where to go since they were supposed to be the experts. I took a shot with Sam and Joes and wasnt disappointed. I was very happy with the service and overall experience and will definitely go back to them again.

Ive used this place for years but noticed that recently their prices seem to be soaring. I took in my Z4 for an oil change and they called and said I needed new brake pads and rotors and sensors for the rear only. The price they quoted was 750$ which seemed high so I called Mineke, Service Pros and BMW of Arlington and they all quoted prices around 511$. Once I took it in.... found out I didnt need new rotors or sensors, just needed pads so I got the work done for 238$.Sam and Joes does good work but they definitely try to charge you for things you dont really need. I mean... why would I need new sensors and how could you tell I needed new rotors without taking the wheel off? I brought it in for an oil change only and you noticed that I need new rotors? Im not an idiot.

Their prices were double that of the local dealer. Charged me for diagnostics on a clutch job.They refunded my money after this review so I moved them to 4 star and deleted the crooks part.

Reasonably priced good work

This is the first review Ive written, ever, so I hope itll be of use. Last year I moved to Dallas from Indiana and six months ago my 2007 328xi had the 4x4, brake and ABS triad light issue. Not knowing anyone, I took my car to the BMW dealer in Dallas. Two days later, I had a bill for 10k, with the explanation that a new transfer case was needed. Obviously that didnt sit well, so I called Don Seader in Bloomington, IN, my previous mechanic for 20 years. For those of you who dont know Don (which Im assuming is most of you) I believe he has an MS in Mathematics, but decided cars were more fun. After speaking with Don, he recommended Sam and Joes. Having never spoken to anyone at Sam and Joes I was obviously skeptical, but my experience was top shelf from the beginning. Great service, clear explanations, a bill that was 1/10 what the dealer was quoting and quality work to back it up. $1k later my car was fixed and Ive found my new mechanic in Dallas. Happy to provide a reference over the phone or email, but these guys are the real deal. Dont drive like my brother.-John

I am surprised by the bad reviews. I have been going there for years with several cars. they are not the cheapest but I am not looking for the cheapest... in cars OR mechanics. Sam & Joes has offered me always impeccable service. They do quality detailed work. I take my car there for inspection before track days. YMMV but these guys have always treated me very well.

Get an estimate before you even try to get them to work on your car.That was the only mistake I have made, I have not asked for that.They are crazy expensive, they try to sell me services that I did not need and most important, they charged me for things I did not ask for.Be aware!

Everything was great except for the pickup. There was an attempt at a car wash, but there were spots missed all over the car, it was left it mostly wet, and it already had dried water spots on it when he pulled around. It also looked like the attempt at drying the car was done with dirt still on it, evidenced by the spots of dirt all over it, which just swirled dirt all over my paint, which left scratch/swirl marks. It will have to be professionally buffed out.

After having some bad experiences with mechanics, Sam & Joes restored my trust. Thanks to them, a dealership was not able to defraud me by not honoring a recalled part. Thanks S & J and I will be back - excellent customer service.

Dishonest as the day is long. They told us to bring our car in for a FREE estimate. Even called me to confirm the appointment. I thought that was good customer service. When I brought the car in they wanted to charge $120 just to look at a simple repair. Thankfully, we left without giving them the chance to rip us off.

They have a bad business they just love to take your money with out fixing the car I sent my car only for diagnosing they asked $150 for to find the problem and for the next day they called back to asking $280 for check it and the next day they called back again ohhhh the car it’s need more time it’s gonna be $690 okay I’m fine to pay $690 but you got find the problem and they are love to robed any costumer with out even find the problem and they charged me $280 you know for what for nothing just stale money with out fixing better go to dealership don’t even try to fix your car at Sam&joe’s if I’m stupid because I sent the car to them don’t be stupid like me send the car anywhere trust me it’s gonna be better than them.

Had the pleasure of working with Joe personally through their care for my car. Brought my Volvo XC70 in for an oil change and learned that it was due for 100,000 mile spark plug replacement. I approved the work, but learned later in the day that the delivery driver went missing and that my car would not be ready. Joe immediately put me in a very nice loaner and I was on my way. All employees were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. By far the BEST customer service Ive experienced between my experience with BMW, Volvo, and numerous others.

I am a veteran of the US Army with 21 years, and drive a Jaguar XJL. I pride myself on being honest, loyal, and most importantly fair, because I was a leader that had to instill that tomysoldiers. I normally deal with any issues directly with whom I have the issue, and almost never just complain to anyone. I feel compelled to stop and let my retired and active duty brothers and sisters know, or anyone I could help, and let you know that this place is just absolutely horrible!I have been to Sam and Joes @ least 5 times. In the beginning just for oil changes, then came a time where I had a coolant issue. I brought it in on a 8AM appointment (For there $130 diagnosis) and it took 4 hours to tell me that it was going to cost me $1400 to change 2 hoses.I am not mechanically knowledgeable, but felt that was a little steep, and let them know I was going to get a second opinion. Found a reputable place that did it for half.Just recently my drivers door would not lock, so I made an appointment for 8AM yesterday for there $130 diagnosis. When I dropped the car off they said 3 hours, 5 hours later I called them to find out it was going to be $854. I decided to do it and an hour later they call me to tell me something else was broke. When I questioned it to ensure they didnt break it, they took offense and said theyll put it back together but not guarantee the work. I said fine just fix it.It is now 302PM the next day sitting in their break room, and my car is still not ready after assuring me it would be done by noon today.Have no idea how these guys maintain a 4.5 rating, but those systems I assume can be purged. Im sorry for the long winded email, but to anyone who considers this place particularly my veteran brothers and sisters This is not the spot. There level of commitment and competence is by far low to variable. Depends on the day. Do yourself a favor and dont waste the money.By the way they ordered the wrong part again, and I didnt get my car back till almost 7PM...amazing!

Took my vehicle in for maintenance, everything needed was explained to me in detail. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Vehicle was left as expected and on time.

After having my ML350 at the Mercedes dealership for few months and kept going back and forth, the dealership could never pin point the problem causing the check engine light to come on. I decided then to take to Sam & Joes in Arlington. They kept the SUV for few days and I was always updated of the progress. They put their finger on the problem that even the Mercedes Dealership could not figure out. No more check engine light and I am happy customer.

All my settings were changed, and some just vanished. For example, Fahrenheit was changed to Centigrade, which makes it awkward to set the cars temperature because most Americans are more familiar with F than C.

I was refered to Sam & Joes by a friend, and I can say it was as good recommendation. I have taken a couple of cars of mine to them and I was very pleased on how they treated me as well as the work they did on my cars.

Wanted to charge markup on the same identical part ordered from the dealer. Not interested in that type of unethical practice.

I have done some business with Sam and Joes in the past (oil changes) but NEVER AGAIN. I recently took my 2009 Mercedes Benz E350 in for a checkup because of strange noise when driving. After a diagnosis, it was determined by their mechanics that the rear differential was going out and additionally, I needed a rear brake job (rotors and pads). Well, the quote given to me for the complete brake job was a $110 more than a quote previously given to me at the Mercedes dealership in Arlington (Park Place Mercedes). When I mentioned the high price to the service rep Steve, he lowered the quote by $75 but wouldnt match the price from the delearship so I declined. Futhermore, my extended warranty on the Benz covered the work needed to repair the car as long as I paid my $100 deductible and up to $1370. Well, Steve told me to fix my car it would cost $3000 because the labor was $900 and part was $2100. I visited the Park Place Mercedes and they quoted me $2600, $1200 for labor and $1400 for the part. That is a BIG difference in price gouging from an independent mechanic shop vs THE MERCEDES DEALERSHIP!!! Plus, the warranty company told me that they offered to ship the part to Sam and Joes because they could get the part wholesale at $770 but the service rep Steve failed to pass that bit of info to me. That would have been a massive amount of savings for me due to that fact the warranty company would only honor $1370 for the complete repair. When I addressed Steve about price gouging over and above THE MERCEDES DEALERSHIP and the fact that he could get the part from the warranty company for $770 and save me money, he didnt have much to say. At the advice of a friend, I took my car to Huggins Honda and they filed claim for me as well as received the part from the warranty company. My only expense was the $100 deductible for repair. And, I purchased OEM Mercedes brakes and rotors from the Mercedes dealership and the mechanics at Huggins Honda installed them on the car for an additional $100 (still $200 lower than Sam and Joes lowest quote for a complete brake job).In summary... Sam and Joes overcharges for parts and labor. When your prices are more than Park Place Mercedes, you are really gouging customers. I WOULD NOT recommend this shop to anyone.

Very clear on the work that is to be performed and detailed on the work that was done with detailed forms with photos included. You feel you can trust them that they are doing a good job.

I would recommend these guys over the dealer anyday. They got my car in on the same day and i left saving 70.00. They even gave my BMW a free nitrogen tire inflation(that the dealer quated my over 50.00). I will use them again.Tim

Well I was told by a friend this place was good. I took my sl55 amg there for repair. They did some trouble shooting to find out what was wrong. I was then called by jeff service manager and he told me that they would need to charge me an extra $125 to troubleshoot deeper (in my pocket). they said it was the fuel pump not enough pressure, Well then I got another call saying that the repairs would be $1451.00 to repair! Wow! I went to get my car and have someone else repair it. They found a bad fuel pump module that supplied power to the pump. So instead of the S&J price my car now runs and it only cost me $635.00. These guys are waaaaaaaaaay over price!

Sam & Joes really cares... Not only did they understand my situation but they didnt try to take advantage of me financially but they made me aware of the condition of my vehicle. The customer service is always great and you can ask them anything about your car. If they dont know the answer they will definitely find out and get back to you. They even sent me a letter to check on my vehicle and remind me of repairs that were recommended and needed. I think they are the best thing since the creation of the cell phone!!!!!!Thank you Sam & Joes, YOU ROCK!!!

Pleased with the service and the ride to and from home in less than ideal weather. My only gripe is tires were inflated to 42 pounds front and rear, threw the TPMS for a loop.Service A and a complete fluid /filter change on tranny ( 2006 MB S500 ), got out WELL below MB dollarship quote.
