Dr. Shawn Tokunaga is the best dentist I have ever gone to. He is very knowledgeable, experienced, friendly and caring. He is using the latest techniques and equipment and he really cares about your teeth! He explained my dental issues in a great detail, walked me through the treatment plan and did outstanding job fixing my teeth! He and his entire team (hygienist Iris, Simona and others) are top notch professionals. They all are perfectionists and it shines through from the moment you walk into their office. They always make sure my visits are comfortable and without pain! Thank you Dr. Tokunaga and the team!

All I have to say is... I actually look forward to my appointments because of this team. They are highly skilled but moreover, they are extremely empathetic, compassionate, and personable. The dental assistant Simona gave me amazing service, very friendly and made my visit very comfortable..I can honestly say that this is the best dentist office Ive ever been to. It all starts with their amazing staff!! They are very nice and very attentive they make sure they make you feel comfortable. Not only that but they are the only office that scheduled me in such short notice when I was in a bunch of pain . The quality of service is above and beyond and if I could rate them 20 Stars I would. They genuinely really care about their patients and its hard to find an office that does. They are very flexible and will work with your budget or help you find other options...I will definitely be returning and referring friends and family.

Dr Tokunaga is the best dentist my family and I have ever gone to. He is a perfectionist and this applies to his entire staff as well. I will not name my former dentist but all he did was clean my teeth for 20 years so I should have realized earlier that I needed to switch to someone progressive and forward thinking and was lucky to find Dr T via my kids ortho. He is wonderful and I am glad I found his practice.

My employer changed our health/dental insurance provider and my current dentist wasnt in the network. My colleague at work told me I have a cool dentist and this is how I got to know Dr. Tokunaga. This happened over 20 years ago and Im in his care since. I thought my previous dentist was good but Dr Tokunaga is in a different category. Very professional, caring, no pain while in his chair. His dental work quality is outstanding and most of all he is honest. Ive recommended him to everyone. I go to his office every 6 months for cleaning (BTW Irys does a beautiful job too). Few days ago I needed a minor repair at the gumline. I expected to end up with two little patches on my teeth and I was pleasantly surprised with the end result not showing any work done. Dr Tokunaga is passionate about his work which is quite rare nowadays. I would highly recommend him.

Ive been a client for 20 years. Their customer service and technology is top notch. The dental chairs even have massagers built in. Also, theyve recently installed large screen TVs above those chairs so you can watch Netflix! I was still watching an episode of The Office when my procedure was finished. I actually wished the appointment went longer to see the ending. Their staff and amenities make what normally is considered an unpleasant experience enjoyable.

Ive been seeing Dr. Tokunaga and his staff for the past 5 years for both routine cleanings as well as a variety of dental issues. While I struggle at times with anxiety induced by dental procedures, both Shawn and his staff always make sure that I am comfortable.It is unfortunate that this practice is out of network for some people, as I feel that we should be rewarding medical professionals that go the extra step like Dr. Tokunaga and his team. A few examples of going above and beyond include: extensive photography and explanation of issues/work being performed, light massage of the lumbar during all procedures, and overhead lights that dont blind you while laying back during procedures.Overall, a great practice staffed by friendly, personable professionals that really care about your dental health.
