This place was a mess. Cluttered work spaces and torn furniture. Got an ok haircut for an average price. If the name of this place confuses you, its understandable. Its a bit like naming your salad bar Steakhouse. There are no licensed barbers here, so if thats what youre looking for check out Reds or Trendz.

I went to see Becky, with the bad hair and got possibly the worst haircut ever today. This is why I been cutting my own for 10 yrs but since I wanted the top cut I figured Id give this place a try after a family member reccomend it. .I went in with a top knot and asked for a bald fade and to cut the knot to a comb over. I definitely didnt get a bald fade and instead of trimming my lineup she shaved it completely off!!. Once she ruined my lineup I just wanted to be done. Will not be back.

How are you going to give me a haircut and not give me a hairline and it wasn’t even that good it was so terrible people started asking me did I cut my own hair at home stuff like that I was so embarrassed. This is my husbands new go-to for haircuts since our move to the southern metro. The staff is great and friendly and the coat is a great deal. They include a shampoo, and massage; he loves it! Will continue to book here.Its slightly inconvenient that you cant book online and have to call, but not a deal breaker. They always answer the phone and booking takes less than 3 minutes.

After some 3 years living in the area and some traumatic experiences getting a hair cut I finally found this place! I like how nice and professional they are. They right notes on styles you like so next time they do exactly the same. They are always on time and the professionals are friendly and very good at their jobs. Their prices are very affordable too!

I have lived in the area for a while now and tonight was my first time going to The Barber Shop. Why is it called The Barber Shop when they are not a barber shop at all? I like a straight edge on the neck line and to get my hair lined up. I am always hesitant to get my hair cut anywhere other than my regular barber. Out of convenience, I tried them out. I will say that the person who cut my hair will remain nameless. I am not trying to call her out specifically... Not only did I take longer than the haircut to explain what I wanted but after a 10 minute explanation, I did not get anything close. A 0 to 2 low fade is not a butch military cut!! I am extremely unhappy with this womans level of competence to say the least. It was so upsetting that I got up in the middle of the haircut. None of these comments are about the woman I had btw. After I was explaining what it was that I asked for, the woman wanted to debate with me and argue. She mad me feel like it was my fault that she does not know what a low fade is or how to do it!!Now I am forced to go elsewhere to get my hair fixed. Not cool at all!!

Best place to get a cut, shave, or any other service for a guy. Dana is hands down the best staff. Very nice and personable. Listens to your needs and wants.Ive only had one bad experience in the past 4 years. Due to not making sure the stylist knew exactly how I like my hair. Dont be afraid to stop and try to correct the mistake if you see they might not be giving your cut the way you typically wear it before it happens. Everyone is not aware how you like your hair.Overall the friendly staff and the ease of getting an appointment same day or walk ins are very convient.

Great place for a haircut. Its not an actual barbershop, more of a salon along the lines of Great Clips or Cost Cutter, but way better. You get a great haircut, every cube has its own TV and you can watch whatever you want (though I usually just look at whatever is already on), all the stylists have great personalities and are super friendly, there are free peanuts in the waiting area, and your cut comes with a hot towel, hair wash, and back massage. Ever since Ive first stepped foot into a Barbershop Ive never gone anywhere else.

Great experience at this location. The stylists are friendly and location is tidy. I like the full service cut and wash experience. Makes returning to the day easier. Typically setting appointment ahead of time is a good idea, lunch hour is busy for them. $14 cash for the cut is very reasonable.

UPDATE: Ive never been one of those guys that gets a regular haircut, just kind of when needed. After i found this place i started going every 2 weeks no matter what, and always have Dana cut my hair. Still cheap, but great quality! I get my beard trimmed too, so no mess at home any more. Love this place.Definitely going to be a regular here. Refreshments and a nice waiting area in the front, treated really well, and my stylist was definitely experienced and knew what she was doing. Each stylist has their own area with a sink for shampoos, and a tv. Got a haircut and beard trim for $12! Sarah was great, cant wait to go back!

I love this shop, plenty of stylists here. Really fair priced for all the care you get during your cut. I pay $15 plus a tip for the same thing id get at sports clips for $22 plus a tip. I recommend you call and make an appt though as this place does fill up quickly for the day. Ive never not been able to get an appt if i call in the morning.

If you’re looking for an experience and inclusive haircut for a decent price definitely go here, but this was by far the worst haircut I’ve ever gotten. The women that cut my hair had the skills of a kindergartner using kid safe scissors to try and cut their own hair for the first time. She sprayed my hair and flattened it out and cut straight across leaving me dumbfounded. Ive tried a decent amount of barbershops and not one has done that before. I asked for a 1 to a 3 fade on the sides and she essentially used a 1 razor for the whole thing. she was rushing the haircut the whole time doing a half a** job, so she could get more customers in. It is possible that I got a bad hair stylist, but that isn’t an excuse for her rushing the haircut. If you care about your hair don’t go here, I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

I had been going there for about three months, but they lost me as a customer after today. Sure, the price is great. But, there is a policy statement prominently on their check in desk stating the importance of being on time, actually early, because everyones time is to be respected. I was 4 minutes early today and checked in promptly. However, I had to wait 20 minutes for someone who was not cutting anyones hair during the time I was waiting. When I stated that the policy cuts both ways, especially today when I had back to back appointments with little wriggle room, she refused to cut my hair.

Great staff!! Love when you get your haircut, youre in your own little cube with the hair dresser. Not packed in like sardines like some barber shops. They let you change the channel and watch what you want. They also provide shampoo and conditioner and a massage at the end. Very chill and relaxed and not to mention, they actually know what theyre doing.

Kate is the absolute best. I trust her over anybody hands down to make me look good. She gives great care to a beard trim and is the only person Ive met on this earth that has been able to tame my thick, wavy hair. Limited experience with other people here, but in general everyone is perfectly pleasant.

My boyfriend and I went together to get his hair cut, we called before we went to see if they did African American hair. They said yes, they didn’t know how to do a fade at all. We showed them a picture of what he wanted and were very disappointed with how it turned out. When the lady was done cutting his hair she said “that’s about as good as I can do”. He isn’t happy with his cut at all, if she wasn’t confident with cutting black hair I wish she would’ve said that instead of “doing the best she can”.But they have nice comfy chairs in the waiting room so that’s a plus lol

Would have loved to get a haircut there.I am very busyand when I make a 7:00 appt. I expect them to be reasonably on time. 18 minutes later I had to leave. Though I had appts. 2 walk ins came in after me. But I was told they had requested their stylist. I guess ghey dont need new customers. Too bad..

Im a firm believer in you get what you pay for. Ladies, we love you, but damn is it hard to find one than can cut hair well. Outside of a botchy fade and some Edward scissor hands weed wacker trim job,There is little left to be desired here. I have a regular barber I go to but for the convenience I decided to stop here. You know a cut is going bad by how many times the barber switches their trimmer attachments, goes back to a spot they already have been, and suddenly gets less talkative. I am always polite in person, and will leave a tip and say good job. Thats just the Minnesotan in me. But this is not anything different from your run of the mill great clips, fantastic Sams, sports clips etc. Men, do yourself a favor and support a local barber.If you got the time and are willing to drive a few minutes. Check out The Proper Culture in Eagan. Its appointment only but the Barber John is phenomenal. His perfect 5 star rating speaks for itself.Also, idk why but my photo wont upload with my review, Im trying again but if its not showing for whoever is reading this. My son got haircut on Tuesday evening. He has curly hair and when wet looked short enough, but after drying, I felt it should be cut shorter. Called this am to see if could bring him back to get fixed and was told that I would have to pay full price.

I’ve visited this Hair Salon twice. They bill themselves as a men’s barber shop. That is a stretch. They are hair stylists that cut hair with comb and scissors instead of a electric clippers as a men’s barber would.Stylist start at the top and groom downward as a women’s hair would be cut leaving a helmet look, Barbers cut with a clippers starting at the bottom and work upward leaving a tampered (regular cut) look for men. As a man, I do not need all the extra frills offered at this shop. It seems that old fashion barbering skills have been lost.

Short Version: understaffed, never accommodates walk-ins, rude interaction with staff, sets themselves apart as premium but cant even offer what Great Clips or Sports Clips can. Most of the time, good haircut...when you can get one.Longer Version:. Ive had my hair cut here three times. Ive attempted six times. I will likely not try again.You essentially NEED an appointment to get a haircut. Three times now (varying days of the week and time of day), I have shown up as a walk-in and they have said they cannot accommodate me. When cutting my hair and I remarked on it, the stylist said that they have trouble hiring more stylists. Well if you guys would let me patronize the business, you could probably afford more. In fact, if more folks are turned away like I have been, and Im sure they are, then you clearly have all the evidence that the demand is there and its financially viable. So who and how is the business being run. I have NEVER seen small businesses constantly turn people away and expect themselves to be respected and chosen over the chain, time and again. And while I can respect that you dont want to waste the time of clients who book, I can always walk into GC or SC and they dont turn me away.And speaking of respect, this is where I draw the line. Today when I was told they could not accommodate a walk-in, I was frustrated...being the third time...and I politely said you know...you guys kind of have a problem with this. You are never able to accommodate walk-ins. The young lady behind the counter had the gall to say yea...well when people take the time to schedule an appointment were not going to ignore that.. Oh so Im not taking the time? Immensely unprofessional and unacceptable. First rule in customer service.....acknowledge the customer or clients perspective and frustration. That doesnt mean the customer is always right. But if you want them to have a positive experience, make them feel like someone heard them. Acknowledge what theyre saying. I bet shed be annoyed too if she could never get in to get her haircut at the place she want(ed) to. I dont always book because I travel for work a lot, often scheduled on short notice. And I dont always know when I want the haircut. Could I make more effort? Sure. But its also very common to do walk-ins at all salons and barbershops. If this is the culture you want to promote in your business just get a sign that says NO WALK-INS already and send them message clearly. But youve sent me plenty of messages...my business is not welcome unless its scheduled and its ok for your front staff to be rude. So disappointing...

Missy did a great job with my sons hair, but the lady that picked up the phone was very rude!! I called to cancel my appt because my car was not turning on and when I went to reschedule she didnt not work next weekend, so I asked if anyone else there specializes in african American kids hair and she got an attitude because I asked that!! A legitimate question being the fact that everytime a black person does come in the shop most of the women hide because they dont want to do the hair texture, then she had the nerve to ask her if there was anybody else that knew how to do that type of hair, but she just copped an attitude when I did ask!!! And she found someone that was able to to take Missys place I made an appt with that particular barber and she just hung up on me like she had a n attitude, there is just no good customer service anymore, I really liked who my son was getting his hair cut by, but because of the girl who picked that phone up this barber shop lost a customer I will not be returning back.

I had an appointment at 12 o’clock, I arrived at time and was waiting for a 40 minutes. After that I asked them when I’m going to receive my service and I received an answer that they have a lot a clients and basically don’t have a time for me. Why the heck you need to do an appointment then? Waisted an hour of my life.

First time at Apple valley location hair cut was bad, thought maybe it was just the lady doing it, second time showed up for my appointment I made 40 mins ahead of time and the receptionist tells me they can’t take cards it’s cash only.... bunch of clowns running the place
