I was going here when Abels was by Toms Fast Food. Tgeir new location is better and hopefully they get an ever better place in a few years! About 5 years ago. I moved and needed a new Barber. I went to several places before checking Abels out. I always get a hair cut and beard trim at $45 dollars plus tip. Most places only cut hair or trim your beard with an electric shaver.I waited about an hour on a Saturday. I had a good feeling because there were 6 Barbers fully busy and a huge line. A good sign and worth the wait. They all speak Spanish, but they know English. They get to work once you tell them your preferences and are meticulous. Ive had 5 different barbers over the course of going here and all of them are do a greatprofessional job.They use scissors and a straight razor (also regular safety razors) for edges gor beard clean up. I get a haircut and beard trim about every 3 months. Take the chance try to go on a weekday before they close. This place is better than expected.

I found this place on one of them trips where you try and kill two birds with one stone I had dropped my wife and son off for an MRI down the street from Abels Barbershop I thought this would be a good time for a hair cut since MRIS usually take a long time making a long story short this was the only time I have ever sat in a Barbers chair for longer than 35 minutes this guy took long was this a good thing? Well I would have to say yes because ever since I moved from orange county to the high desert Ive tried them all I actually thought I found the right Barbershop and barber but my first and second experience with this establishment is by far the best I have ever had the only draw back is it takes me 40 minutes to get there but its all worth the drive ....I now take my boys with me so its really worth the trip 🤑

I did not get to experience the shop, as I would have hoped to do. I gave a 2 to keep from being to harsh.My friend recommended the shop and we arrived signed in and was told it would be about 2 hours. He was so excited cause this was his spots so I said ok.We left and returned at the 2 hour mark only to have others ahead of us after the wait, so I left. I dont truly feel it was welcoming but thats my opinion. Everyone else seemed to enjoy and love the service, so thats a plus. Just not for me.

I’ve gone to Abel’s for years. They are a walk-in shop, so you may have a long wait if they are busy. Saturday’s are the busiest. They take their time and give a quality cut. Well worth the wait!

One of the best barbers. The cuts were fresh and it took almost 45 minutes but it was definitely worth it. They offer little waters and beer for customers. They always think about their customers. Only issue was that it was walk in onlys and I wasnt able to make an appointment

Its a very calmed environment. I took my 10 yr old son there for a cut. My son has ASD. My son sat still. That is rare. I will be taking my son there for now on.

I always feel relaxed after a nice haircut here. They take their time with everyone, so dont be surprised if your wait is longer than expected.

I have been going to Ables since before Able bought it. All of the barbers are family and take great pride in their work. Communication can sometimes be a small challenge, but never a huge issue.There is usually a wait because they take their time with every customer to make sure every cut is perfect.Hands down, best barbers in the desert

As i was waiting at a seat as my son was having tantrums while having his haircut the other barber at the next chair locked his longest glance at me and shook his head showing his disappointment as if i did the biggest mistake of my life.The barber who was cutting my son’s hair was patient enough but this other barber was terrible at treating their customers. My son has autism and i informed his barber beforehand. I paid the good guy but left the barbershop heartbrokenwith a promise not to recommend this place to any friend and will never go there again!

In my opinion, this is the best barber shop in the high desert. If your looking for a professional cut, with a old school feel. If you dont speak Spanish, theres not a lot of communication but they are so good at what they do, language is not needed. Show them what you want, and it will be that way.

Disregard the bad reviews here..As for me, Im so picky with my hair, especially my lineup and Able does a perfect job every time!, Ive been coming here for 4 years and Abel and his crew are the only ones i trust with my hair besides one other barber which happens to be my brother .Best barber hands down! Able forsure gets down!.. I will give you the part where they can seem unfriendly but its just them, theyre cool people once you get to talkin to them.Btw their new shop is a great upgrade!

This place was horrible I asked for a taper and the guy didnt even line up the front, he just did a sloppy quick job and he thinned one side of the back of my taper, wouldnt recommend this place to anyone, especially black people such as myself, plus the prices were rediculous $18 for a cut, and $35 for a chin strap beard trim, thats robbery and rediculous, never going back!!!

Well, I asked for a trim and tgey cut ALL my hair off! That is not a trim, perhaps they dont know what that means.

Wanted to check these guys out, and it was awkward and horrible, I went in, nobody greeted me, except the first barber and she barely said it, I proceeded to sit down and they wouldnt even look at me, one of the barbers literally turned to the side the whole time, I waited 10 to 12 minutes, no one said anything not a peep, at first I thought because Im black, but seeing these other reviews, it seems that the norm at this place, I leftI would strongly suggest they get friendlier workers, more professional, or a how to manual on how to provide customer service
