I do not recommend this company. Service technician told me that coils are on their last leg and would need to be replaced at a cost of $3,000. And if I was going to spend that much, I should just get a whole new unit because it was on its way out as well. When I asked for a quote on a new unit, I was given estimate of $10,000 to $30,00. I felt that was rather excessive, soI decided to get a second opinion from an independent contractor. This gentleman told me that he found nothing wrong with the coils, and nothing wrong with my unit that is only 7 years old. And IF the coils should need replacement, he would do it for $1,800. And a whole new unit is not needed.Be mindful of these bigger companies. They have huge overhead costs, and try to pass it along to the consumerby pushing new units with a big price tag.I felt they were trying to take advantage of me. Thankfully I didnt fall for it.
I would NOT recommend 72 Degrees to anyone. Their customer service and professionalism were incredibly disappointing.In May 2021, my third floor unit broke. They recommended replacement, which I trusted as their customer. It was completed the same week, which was great. However, their Accounting team took over a month to deposit my check. I called several times and got the same story that their check processing software was being updated, and that my check would be deposited in a couple days. Over a month into that repetitive experience, it wasnt until I told them that I was going to stop payment on the check that they let me pay via credit card without an upcharge. It was incredibly frustrating. 72 Degrees made no attempt to problem solve with me so that I could put the project behind me.In July 2021, my second floor unit broke. Again, they recommended replacement. I asked about repair options and I chose that route because they said it would be fixed by the following week, which was perfect because I was taking my family on vacation then. The repair didnt happen while we were gone. It wasnt until 3 weeks later that the parts came in and they fixed our unit. I completely understand that they cant do anything until they receive the parts, but they set my expectations at a 1 week turnaround. Meanwhile, my family of 5 was unable to sleep in their beds for 5 weeks during the hottest time of year. To make things worse, I ran into the same check processing issue with their Accounting team again. I called several time, I was told I would be called back, but I was never called. It took 72 Degrees 5 weeks to process my check. It was incredibly unreasonable and managed unprofessionally.
Responded quickly to an emergency - came out the next morning and repaired within 30 minutes. The service professional (Alan V.) was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure the unit was working well before leaving. We had never done business with 72 Degrees before, but we are now on their maintenance plan and will be using them for all future services!

Alan was our service tech and he resolved our issue within 30 mins of being on-site (diagnosed within 5 minutes). Ran into a snafoo with billing situation but it was resolved same day and my commitment still remains with their company for the remainder of the year.
Do not recommend! They will ALWAYS upsell services and make promises that are not valid. Installed a new HVAC system and told us there would be a rebate, which was not true. They moved everything around in the attic and left a huge mess of the items we had, plus I am still finding trash in the attic from their install. Recently was the last straw, they “sold” us air scrubber units and when they didn’t work we were told they were “shot” and would cost $480 each to repair. Asked for a quote, in writing four times, via phone and email, and still do not have the written quote. Repaired myself for under $130 each. There are more honest companies - choose one of those.

I used to LOVE this company and got my in-laws to switch to them as well. Ever since they changed management the service has gone way down! Prices for parts/repairs are higher then everyone else, they are NOT responsive and today I was given a price for repair/service that was almost $300 less then their quote, they came out the same day and my house is cooling off as we speak. I have switched and will never use this company or refer anyone ever again.

This place is a sham. Very dishonest. They want to sell you a new unit. Two different techs, two different diagnoses (still no heat) and when I got a third opinion it was 1/200 of the cost and I didn’t need a new unit. I have heat. Go with air experts. Service call way cheaper too!
I would like to let you know what an excellent serviceman and representative Alan L Vargas is for 72° Heating & Air. Alancame out today, 04/24, to perform our spring/winter maintenance checkup on our gas pack. He is quick, efficient, through, and knowledgeable about his systems and especially ours. He quickly answered questions, preformed his job, with smile and pleasant attitude. He worked with me very honestly and completely. Ala is a great employee for 72° s. We hope to see him in the fall.
We had our outside heat pump serviced last month because the fan was not spinning up. The service call was $89, which I am completely ok with. We have an old unit and were expecting the worst.Then they replaced the capacitor in the outside unit. This capacitor is $25 on Amazon, and takes about 10 minutes in total to replace. Ive done this before, but since you cant buy AC parts in this state, youre stuck with doing business with people who are ok with extreme upcharges.We were charged $516 in total. (Initial visit, Part/Replacement and Taxes)I will always pay for good service, however a $395 charge for the 10 minute job of replacing a $25 part is highway robbery. I will NOT be using them again..

Ive been calling and leaving messages on the emergency line all weekend without response. Its one of the coldest weekends of the year and one of the rentals I manage - the unit completely froze up. Dont advertise that you offer Emergency services if in fact you plan to not respond at all. Just wanted to warn other customers.

Justin took the time to understand the problem with my A/C and got the house cooling again. Further, he explained how well work together moving forward to solve the root cause, but in the interim he also gave me a workaround to solve the issue if it comes up again. I am shocked at the rating indicated on the website of 72 Degrees. I have found my experiences to be in the range of OK to awful. The company’s internal communication Is terrible. It is challenging to get one part of the company to talk to the other. The people handling the phones are mostly incapable. A recent example of poor communication - an appointment time was not honored. After receiving a text with the appointment time the day before, the technician arrived 40 minutes early. That might normally be viewed as a good thing but not in this case. The time was set by me very intentionally and coming 40 minutes early was not going to work. When I asked about the early arrival the technician said he didn’t know about the appointment time and was just told he had an appointment at my home. I could go on and on about this company, including my experiences and those of my friends, but I won’t. The phrase “Buyer beware” comes to mind!

Edward who got the process going was very sincere and answered all my questions to the actual installers Parrish and Jeff. The installers were a finely tuned machine. I could tell they have worked together for awhile. They completed the entire install in 6 hours. All the old unit taken out and the new one put in and running. My A/C was having trouble keeping up in the heat, I called 72 Degrees and they came out within 2 hours. The repairman (Manny) was both professional and courteous, and knew what he was doing. He had me back up and running as expected within an hour. Will definitely have them do any future work.

We hired 72 Degrees after another company in the area failed to returns calls to schedule an appointment. I am so grateful for this. Edward, our technician was great, he fixed the air conditioner on the first visit for a 1/4 of the price quoted by the competitor. These guys were great. I called them because a buddy recommended their work. They were quick to respond to my initial call asking for information, and each of the guys doing the work was very professional and courteous. The day of the installation was incredibly hot. Despite this, they worked a very long day to make sure my new AC unit was operating before they left. Tim was great about answering all of my questions. I highly recommend 72 Degrees.

I just received an unsolicited phone call on my personal cell phone - one I use for family and friends only. The representative for 72 Degrees indicated she was contacting me for my annual HVAC service. When I asked how she got my number - she hadnt a clue- said she was given a list of names & numbers to call. I asked for the owners name Randy Sampson & to speak with him &, of course hes not available. Left my name & cell number= since thats the number THEY CALLED ME - and asked he return my call. Ill update this post IF I hear from the owner.
Update: I received a call from the Service Manager after he looked into my situation and he was very willing to come to a reasonable solution to the matter. I really do appreciate when a company is willing to admit being wrong and then go above and beyond to rectify the matter. For this I am changing my star rating, and will likely give them another chance with the maintenance of my HVACs.For reference: I expected to pay for a $40 visit but received a $311 charge on my card. I was told they would diagnose it and call me to get permission to perform the work, yet they performed work on my unit without my or my property manager’s permission. And when asked what name gave the permission, they have no answer. The manager said she would call me back after she spoke with the technician. I called the following week and she still had no answer. It has been a month, still with no answer. I was also told that they could go out and remove the part to give me my refund. Really?!? It’s my fault that the technician didn’t get proper permission?A good note, the people on the phone are VERY nice and not disrespectful in any way throughout this whole mess.

Even though I have never been a customer of theirs, I get a phone call every spring and fall asking me to make an appointment to maintain my HVAC. I have asked them at least 3 times to stop calling me, and every time I am told, Its just a courtesy call. If you are lonely and want lots of phone calls, these folks are for you!

Ive been using these folks for several years now. They have done everything from service my old units to replacing both with new ones and all of the maintenance in between. 2-3 years has gone by since the install of my new heat pump and during one of their service check-ups today they found that the capacitor was not performing at its peak level. Theyre a stand-up company and stood by their customer to get this fix completed quickly. Thanks to Nikki managing everything. I would recommend this company.

Stay clear of this company!!! They cut corners on the design of my HVAC system. I completely replaced duct work furnace and a.c. unit. The person who designed system decided the old boots didnt need replaced. I the customer trusted the designer of system and went forward. Now I have mold all through my house and so its my fault. The other issue I have is this was addressed last summer 3 months after install and they co me out and say nothing is wrong and overlook issue. Im the blame and they offer 10% discount to what should have been done square 1. Watch out for this company at all costs because customer satisfaction is not in their DNA or stand behind entire experience. I am not unreasonable, but 10% off their working for free. Definitely lost our neighborhood for work and hopefully more. Biggest mistake Ive made thus far!!

This company charged me several thousand dollars for something their ‘warranty’ was supposed to cover. The AC unit they sold me breaks constantly, and they claim no responsibility since I own it now. Insanely unprofessional, take forever to get people on site to repair, and overcharge to a point of it being completely insane.
We interviewed with 3 companies and by far Eddie and his team out weighed the others. Instead of just looking to do a quick change out of units. They made several changes to the original installation as a whole and explained how the changes would benefit us. I could write a really long review explaining all the benefits and the differences I found between these three heating and cooling companies. However, I will just said if you are looking for a heating and cooling company to do it right and be more than competitive just give 72 Degrees a call and ask for Eddie. See for yourself the difference this company will make over the others and you will see what we did. We made the right decision and I know you will too. The whole experience was very tolerable from when Eddie Blanchard came out to walk me through my options to talking with Bill about financing and payment options to when Brandon, Matt and Jimmy came out to do the install. The guys were professional and kept us informed on what was going on and why things were taking longer than anticipated. And most importantly we are cool now!
72 Degrees really takes their customer service to another level. We were having some issues with warm spots in our house during the hot summer months. During a regular service visit, I mentioned this to the service representative. He took the time to evaluate my issues and offer suggestions. He made some subtle changes to my airflow and dramatically improved the air circulation throughout our home.I would recommend 72 degrees for all your HVAC needs!

Called and paid 2500.00 for repairs to be made to my system, Tech was nice and friendly. He made the repairs and collected the money. When he left he stated give the unit a couple hours and it will cool down. 9 hours later it had dropped only 2 degrees. They advertise 24/7 emergency service so I called and when the on call tech called back he stated he had 2 calls ahead of me and there was no way he was coming out tonight because he would not be finished till 1:00 am. Stated he would be out at 7:30 am then said no 9:00 am. I explained I thought that since I had spent 2500.00 with the company that day I should be able to get someone out the same day. I said I needed to speak with his supervisor or manager. He then said I could if I wanted but theres no way he was coming out tonight to check my unit. I said your company advertises 24/7 service and he said that means someone should come out in 24 hours and If I pushed the issue I may not get anyone out till Monday I then said why are you threatening me and he said Im not and then he hung up on me. Since then I have called the call taker 3 times asking for a manager or someone in charge call me back and 2 hours later nothing. If you dont mind this type of service then use them. Otherwise I highly recommend avoid them like the plague. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Emergency service was great! Its the worst to lose A/C when its hot and they took care of me immediately. The person who made the repairs was professional and thorough. I would recommend them and will be using their services again.
We bought a new $8000.00 A/C system from them 3 years ago. We just paid it off 18 months ago. Now some motherboard is fried and it will be another $1200.00 to fix it. Not covered. The service call today was over $600 alone. I really have buyers remorse now. I would not recommend.
This outfit take incompetence to a whole other level. They simply didnt turn up for my first scheduled A/C maintenance. They screwed up the scheduling of the 2nd visit, taking 30 minutes on hold to resolve. Finally a supervisor assures me we are scheduled Today I got a call cancelling my service, spouting some complete claptrap about seniors without heat taking priority (it is 81 degrees out today.) Avoid at all costs
Holy cow, the upsell bordered on thievery. I booked the $48 tune-up for my a/c. Justin came out; 10 minutes later he is trying to sell us on $800 in repairs. He also said our unit was 2 years older than the house was. He said that we needed 2lbs of refrigerant (at $220 a pound!), but there wasn’t a leak. So that’s impossible. A quick review of home ownership sites shows you should avoid technicians saying you need a “top up.” No thanks.
This company went kaput a while ago, and its not really surprising given the horrible HVAC install they did on my property. The 72 degrees name and website are apparently now owned by Custom Air Inc. These folks have been incessantly calling me trying to schedule a service visit under the 72 Degrees name, but then refuse to honor signed service agreements made by 72 degrees prior to going bust.
