I moved from IL to AZ and had no idea who to go to for house insurance. I received a few rates from other companies and thought they were highly; but then again I was used to Midwest rates. A friend recommended Cooks Insurance and I couldn’t be more happy! They are friendly, know exactly what they are doing (ask all the right questions first so they don’t need to contact you a bunch of more times), and very fast on giving you a good, affordable quote. I’m very happy with them and they are always helpful if I have questions.

My experience with one of the big insurers was very, very good and I was treated well. One day I asked Darren to quote me and I was shocked. First off, he helped me evaluate coverages, which led me to raise some and lower others.Next was the determination of replacement value. It was a thorough experience and I was glad to go through it so that I am not over-, nor under-insured.Finally, the cost was half. Yes. 50% of what I was paying as a premium, long-term customer of the previous company.Now, two years later, I know that it isnt too good to be true.To me it is simple. The big ones spend a LOT of money on advertising, while the highly-rated, lesser known names dont take that money from me in the first place.Trust in Darren and his staff is now solid and their helpfulness is perhaps best told this way. There was an insurance cost I needed in order to complete my taxes. One of his staff went back and forth with me on email until I had what I needed. This is a good story, except that it happened at 8PM in the evening. After business hours. Outstanding!

I used cooks insurance for years. Never had a problem until I had to file claims for my homeowners insurance. I got cancelled for using my insurance that I paid into for almost 10 years without using it. Asked to find me another company and billing never went out so therefore I went months without coverage. Went with another company which Im paying a higher amount for coverage now for the same coverage I had with them. As long as you never use your coverage its good. Otherwise they dont help you.Follow up...I called the office when I received the emails and the woman told me they never received anything from the bank. I followed up with the bank and they never received anything from your company. My new company had no problems.

I had a claim on my home. The adjuster estimated the damage in excess of $10,000.00 dollars. I could not get the company out of Dallas, Tx. to pay the claim. I contacted them weekly. Just kept getting excuses. I contacted Cooks Insurance and it was not their job to contact the company to help me get my money. I could not believe their answer. So, I contacted Cooks a second time and got the same refusal to help. I then told the person in Dallas, TX if I did not get my check by Friday of that week I would take the matter to the Insurance Commisioner. Guess what by Friday I had the check. The day after I got the check, I cancelled all my policies with Cooks Insurance. When I told them why, they did not care.

I am extremely disappointed with Cook Insurance. I brought my payment,ahead of time, into the office, only to check the mail several days later and find out that my policy had been CANCELLED!!! Cook insurance never made the payment. I dealt with cancellation and reinstatement fees on my own. I was lied to by Iris at this office, who didnt take any responsibility for my payment not being made, or even less, the inconvenience and embarrassment I went through . As a busy mom, this was the last thing I needed to deal with. My advice to this office is to take the sign down outside the office stating that you can be trusted. This is clearly not the case for me. I would not recommend this company. I drove unknowingly for days without coverage, which is a very uneasy thing to take in. I understand we all make mistakes, but this is what you are in business for. Your customer service really needs help. I share this as a warning to future clients; sign at your own risk with them.

Cook Insurance no longer cares about their customers. I have both auto & homeowners insurance with Cook, & they neither want to cover any damages to my home from the last storm, nor do they want to honor the rental car coverage I have for my vehicle. So basically, Im paying for coverage, and it covers nothing. I will be seeking another insurance company in the future. Their employees are rude, which is a shame, considering Ive had coverage with them in the past. Well, no more. Update: In response to the owner: We did speak about my homeowners claim, and your office lied to me. I was in the office on 2 separate occasions about this. It was confirmed by the adjuster who came out to examine my roof. So when my policy is up for both my home and auto, I will be seeking another company who appreciates my business.

I figured because my mom went here before Id try it out, well lets just say the guy I dealt with obviously didnt care about getting business, I called about a quote then went in and 15 minutes until closing all of a sudden I have a suspended licence are you kidding me?! When I asked what the date was he said 9/29.... (the same day I was in there) how convenient considering I had no in counters with anyone of the law or tickets, so of course they refer me to the 3rd party DMV (that I just paid all my fine off at on 8/22 and was also at to register my car) and said theyd have more info, wouldnt even look at the documents I had to prove otherwise anyways, I go to the dmv AAAAANNNNNNDDDDD of course guess who doesnt have a suspended license... yep. Decided against going back to waste more of my time with a company who clearly doesnt want more business.

Called needed an Sr22 in the state of california in order to get my license reinstated in california, and arizona. It was done with in minutes and Iris helped me more than i thought was in her job description. They are great. Theyll keep my business.
