Odd location in a residential area among a pigeon farm. Weird. Good selection of truck sizes but they pulled a fast one on us. We reserved a unit a few weeks in advance and they never had the courtesy to tell us that all their trucks have to be returned to the same spot. We reserved it one way. The office sprung the news on us 10 minutes before the pick up time. Had we known this we wouldve not rented at this location. Moved almost 2hrs away and we had to go back out there to return it. What a deceiving way to do business, they put you on the spot with no choice but to take accept it. The trucks are not cleaned between rentals either. Service in the office was fast but theyre not receptive to your needs simply saying theres not much they can do. UHaul used to be the best back in the day, now theyre just BS.

This is without a doubt the worst Uhaul Dealer around. They have the selection and a large fleet of trucks, so they are often who you might get as having availability in the area. However, its deceptive. Twice they have cancelled my one-way truck on the morning of my planned move (after also booking task-rabbits and mover help that cant be refunded). So their availability online or even in the Uhaul computer system seems to never be updated. Their lot is over-crowded and the support from their staff is laughable.This time, even after I had called Uhauls 800 number yesterday to confirm the truck would be available and not cancelled at the last minute (and Uhaul confirmed), I still got a message this morning that the truck wasnt available any longer. They never honor their $50 guarantee. As a solution, I was offered an in-town rental, but only 24 hours to move a 3-bedroom house (26 foot truck) and the move is several hours away. When I tried to explain to the associate Tyler why a 24-hour rental isnt possible, he hung up on me. Or maybe the call disconnected as he said. Either way, Im incredibly disappointed. So much lost time and money spent on movers and added time in storage units. Wasted trip to the Bay to get my stuff.

Rental Truck was in good condition, AC and gate worked for me very well. Returning steps had a few hiccups with taking photos. *** Entry is at front of location then you drive to back. Online check in is pointless. They call you in to send you a text, ask you to take a picture of your license outside while they help other people. It takes more than an hour even with online check in to pick up the truck.I hear them on the phone telling people they can come get a truck for an appointment at 10am, but there are still 7 other people in line. Thats at least a 70 minute wait.The site is understaffed and overbooked. Dont plan on a timeframe or actually get a truck at your appointment time at this location.

Im so frustrated at uhaul someone steals the uhaul and I find it with no ignition and have them come to tow it and Im billed 4900 dollars the milage in and milage out doesnt even match my contract. I bought the insurance and still am charged Im so mad what the hell is the point of insurAnce

This was my go to location whenever I needed a u-haul rental. I grew up in Antioch and take pride in being a loyal customer to the business establishments that are still around today! However I do not respect greedy business practices, if you do not have the inventory to rent me a u-haul for the 24hour time frame then say that. Do not try and double book the u-haul and require it be brought back before my 24hour time frame. So disappointed in her lack of respect and professionalism!

These folks are the nicest ppl. I enjoy the conversations I get. They couldve easily gotten mad at me for keeping the truck longer than I should without a credit card. But when I brought it back they were still normal. They remind of like an older uncle and aunt. Thats the vibe I get.

Show a little respect! Its got to be difficult to have random anybodys coming to your house. But iam thankful these folks have opened their home and provided us with a convenient service. My sons and I have used this U-HAUL many times & i highly recommend this place.

SWEET LOCATION, FRIENDLY SERVICE

The staff is very rude. They kept insinuating I was going to steal the truck. It took 45 minutes in line to pick up the truck. The truck was covered in mud, inside and out. Avoid this location. EDIT: If you dont have a smartphone they make it very hard to rent a truck. They told me they could not rent to me with out me having a smartphone and then said they could. It seemed to be a TINY bit inconvenient for them and they blew it way out of proportion. Again AVOID THIS LOCATION.

I called to confirm my pick up. I spoke to a very incompetent person by the name of NAN. I had my truck schedule from 630pm to 630pm. She first said that she did not get that reservation. She stated that she doesnt always get the reservation. So I gave her the info. She told me that I had to bring the truck back at 6am. I said that is not 24hrs and not what I paid for. She said that she was going to call the main uhaul office to see what she could do. So I called as well. 20 minutes later I called her back and she had no idea who I was, which told me that she never called. Uhaul stated that I had the truck for 24 yrs. She then said I had to have it back by 430am the next morning and they are not even open then. I said that is still not. 24hrs. She then said she had someone else picking up the truck at 430pm or I would be charged for 2days or i could find someone else. Needless to say, i will not be doing business with her. She was lazy, incompetent and flat our ugly.

The whole experience was new to me but it was effortless. I cant believe I entertained using any other company. The lady at the reception was highly efficient and very knowledgeable. Best yet, she had a room full of people and the phone ringing and got everybody serviced and out of there quickly! The gentleman in the yard helped with hitches and whatever needed doing. The customer service was great. The Trucks were truly well maintained and very very clean. i cant believe how easy they were to drive, load, unload and refuel.Thank you Custom Bunk Beds authorised dealer for Uhaul. It made my moving day stress-less.

We are usually regulars at this place but after today, not anymore. After taking the uhaul for 14 miles round trip, the odometer said we had 29 miles. The older guy (front desk ladys husband) was so rude when I questioned my mileage, he shooed me away (waving his hand at me in dismissal) stating If you wanna talk to my Wife shes inside! You can argue with her! In a snarky tone of voice. When I tried explaining that I was not trying to argue but I simply had questions regarding my mileage he walked away laughing in a evil tone of voice. We will not be doing business anymore with them.

On line it stated no-one but no-one in CCCounty had any size truck available until Sunday.If u want a truck u have to go anywhr from Fairfield, Sacramento, Stockton u get the mess. I even called the Headquarters they swore the same thing, only rentals were( Pick-up Truck or a Van ) THATS IT!I went through hell worrying all night long as I needed a truck so badly to move today.So I reserved the Van but was still crushed. This morning I went at 10:00 am to the U-Haul here at (2425 Willow- Antioch ) to pick up my reserved Van, sad & depressed... So I get there & I walk to the back looking for the office OMG I truly thought I was dreaming as I looked & straight back all lined up just as straight & neat as can be was an ENTIRE FLEET of Trucks..OMG PLEASE LORD I said Please God let me get a truck just for a couple hours! I walked into the office & explained my situation to Nan & she asked Who, said we did not have any trucks? My heart dropped to my toes, I actually thought i was going to cry!What I am trying to say is ANYONE WHOM REALLY NEEDS a Truck..Do NOT go by what it says on line nor what headquarters may say on the phone!If ANYONE really needs a truck go to the U-HAUL located at 2425 Willow in Antioch, Ca. just up the side street from the cemetary off of E. 18 st. and NAN will make it happen if at all possible!I have NEVER seen so many U-HAUL TRUCKS at one location!Again. Quick and easy

The guy was not professional, had a bad attitude (possibly overworked), and high strung. He obviously cant handle his job. He is in the wrong line of work with dealing with customer service and data entry (which are key elements of his job). We reserved a cargo trailer with a U-Haul representative the day before who confirmed he had it in stock. When we arrived, it was very odd that it was in his house and not a business office. We waited only to find out that he did not key in his paperwork for several days which resulted in false information in U-Hauls system. He tried to sell us on a bigger vehicle which we didnt need for way more expensive. We left empty handed, frustrated and disappointed. Now I know why this place has such a low rating.

WORST customer service Ive ever had in my life. I was just called by the owner NAN who possess not an OUNCE of customer service skills. After spending 3+ hours on the phone yesterday due to my 26 FT truck reservation that was make 1.5 WEEKS prior no longer being available and being told 36 hrs before moving, the only option was renting two 15 trucks instead. This was arranged by U_Haul corporate and I received my reservation confirmations for pick up today at 11:30am.I had to take an unscheduled partial day off today in order to be able to move due to these changes and so when I received this phone call from this women who basically just told me that I was not getting the addl truck and that I was only moving between cities 30 miles each way and I could make multiple trips, I was infuriated. She didnt try and apologize for the inconvenience, I explained what had transpired yesterday and spending 3 hrs on the phone, having to take an unscheduled half day off. etc and she basically said she didnt give a care and that I was SOL. I told her she had terrible customer service and imagine if she was the customer and I was treating her this way and she said she was the owner of the company, has been doing this 18 years and doesnt care about my sob story. She said its not her problem that she is irritated to find out this morning that she has been overbooked and Ill have to deal with it. She then preceded to tell me that she isnt even open until 9am (an hour and a half away) and hung up on me.The days of treating customers fairly seems to not be important. They are absolutely worthless, the worst business entity I have ever dealt with and by far the worst customer service Ive ever experienced. Its no wonder they get a 1/10 through the ConsumerAffairs website and horrible ratings through every other ratings agency/website out there. They dont care about their customers and your reservation confirmations are WORTHLESS.Extremely poor customer service. They have lost my business and anyone else that I would have recommended. U-Haul needs a crash course in customer service and the owner at this location needs a lesson on EMPATHY.

DONT BOTHER! The staff is extremly rude. I told them I need the truck for Saturday & Sunday all day. They said no problem. When I get there to pick it up I get informed they need the truck back by 9AM Sunday. They rented the trunk out for pick up at 9:30. When I confronted them about thats not what I reserved, I was simply told they have the right to change the arangment. Thankfully I got a truck some place else. I rent these kind of trucks 2 to 3 times a year and this is by far the worst place I have ever dealt with. If this was my first time renting from U-Haul it would have been my absolute last. Go to the U-Haul on Sunset.

Always a great place when you need to move

Hard to find the office. Woman who works the front desk is not friendly at all. And you have to park your car on the street and walk quite a ways back to the trucks. But they are kept up and ready to go once you find it.

Worst U-haul service Ive ever had. Talk about bad customer service. This is the closest U-haul location to my house, and Id rather spend some money and drive to the next location. The lady charged me for 40 miles when I drove 15. I called and asked why they took out $85, her kid interuppted and told me she would talk to me late. I was left with no explaination. This is my first review ever, so dont think Im one of those guys that nag at everything.
