This place is honestly the best gym I have ever joined in my life. But to be truthful I want to give the credit to their trainer, Derek, hes the reason this place is a gem. Having him as a trainer has been a blessing. Hes the one that makes that environment as great as it is.

Great staff. Great facility. I absolutely love it here. Been a member 2 years next month. If you are actually looking for a review that involves the facility itself then I’d highly recommend it. Post Covid they are always cleaning and keeping people at a distance.

This gym is huge plenty of equipment lots of squat racks rarely have to wait and if I do theres usually a great second option I love how clean it is the cardio equipment is always available even during social distancing Ive never had to wait in a line to get into this gym all hours of the day.

Please stay away from this place. They are so desperate to Nickle and dime you as customer in any which way they can. Do not give them your credit card number. After a year or so without any notice they charged us twice in March 2021. I have contacted them many times but they are refusing to refund us. They even do not response to my email. That shows you how desperate they are. Customer service ZERO.

Lost us to 24 hour fitness

I bought a membership for my son, I didnt want to make monthly payments, so I called location and I was assisted by Brandy, she went out of her way to help me and get what I need it.

THEY WILL NOT LET YOU CANCEL WITHOUT PUTTING YOU THROUGH THE RINGER. Trainers are aggressive to get you to sign, then once youre in couldnt be more disinterested in your fitness. Theres a Planet Fitness 2 minutes away now. Ive been going since it opened. And its a much better overall experience. Trainers are awesome and attentive

Its a good clean place to work out. The machines are great, treadmills have lots of settings. Theres lot of options ropes, medicine balls, calisthenics equipment. Stair stepper machines. Pool, sauna, basketball. You name it they got it.

I would give no stars if that were an option. Gym was great, until we tried to cancel. DO NOT SIGN UP HERE. It was by far the biggest run around we have ever experienced. Was told only could cancel by coming in and speaking with membership person, BUT the membership person had to call me back first. After multiple calls, nothing, just put on hold and then hung up on. Showed up to cancel at 8:45 am, missing work of course and the person was not there and NO ONE, not even the GM could cancel our membership. I made a big stink and lo and behold, there is a way to cancel by email and by mail and the GM printed all the documents for me.I have had better experiences with someone trying to sell me stuff over the phone. Customer service was less than zero. GM is a joke, do not, I repeat, DO NOT give them your money. You will realize the gym is overpriced for what you get and when you are ready to cancel, you will want to pull your hair out.

Great Gym

I’ve started going to the gym because I wanted to change and got a trainer named Derek and so far I’ve lost 20 pounds I feel a lot better about myself, I got a lot more energy with out him I wouldn’t be we’re I am and I want to thank him for that for pushing me and for me to reach my goals and to stay in this healthier side.

I recently joined City Sports after cancelling my InShape membership due to overcrowding, sanitation issues with the pool and jacuzzi, and the fact they decided to remove amenities (such as the racquetball courts) without notifying all of the paying members. They also had insufficient staff on hand to monitor areas where children were clearly prohibited.On the other hand, I must say that I am VERY impressed with City Sports. It is a relatively new facility, spotlessly clean, no overcrowding, I saw zero children. The staff are also professional in every respect and attentive to the needs of each individual member. Theres no herd mentality here.Although this facility does not offer racquetball courts, the exercise equipment is state-of-the-art, each piece of cardio equipment has its own tv monitor, the mens and womens saunas are separate from each other, and the swimming pool and jacuzzi are spotlessly clean.Price wise, for the three people in our household who are on the membership, the cost is under $100 per month at around $33 per person. We were paying approximately $25 each at the other gym. Not much difference in price between the two gyms really. Be aware that first and last month membership is due upon signing up at City Sports so be prepared to fork over a chunk of change initially. Also, just like at the other gym, once each year there is an annual maintenance fee of $49.It was nice on Saturday, 2/08/2020 at around 12 noon, my friend and I had the entire pool and jacuzzi to ourselves!Now I just need to schedule some time with the personal trainer and attend some of the exercise classes offered.Loving it! 😁

Nice, clean friendly gym...nothing like InShape...employees, management helpful, classes SUPERB...would had given a5***** but parking is a bear and hours should be longer, like 4am to 11pm...otherwise its FANTASTIC

Love this gym. Super spacious, never crowded even if it’s “busy”, and the equipment is brand new and not stolen yet unlike other gyms. The staff is friendly and I pay a low rate.The only negative is their hours. 5am pretty late for a gym to open and 8pm on weekends is so early for it to close. I close every weekend so if I can’t get to the gym before work then I won’t be able to go.Edit 11/23/19:Dropping my rating a star for the hours. As mentioned above, I’m not happy with them but I just realized they open at 8am... That’s ridiculously late for a gym to open and it doesn’t look like they’ll ever budge on the hours.

Best gym in the Antioch area. Very spacious workout areas with great staff. Not typically too busy so I never have to wait to use equipment. Highly recommend.

Love the gym.....atmosphere is great ..... very spacious... not crowded.. but the Bathrooms need to be cleaned often and machines need to be wiped down and please keep paper towels on the roll!!!

I REALLY like this GYM it is conveniently close to my house which was why I gave it a chance BUT I am considering switching back and commuting ONLY because as many times I have been in to work out I NEVER see ANYONE wiping machines down EVER vs other Gyms like 24 HR fitness someone is always wiping down bringing my kids to A CLEAN childcare room is very important to me and it seems to be the same i let my little daughter stay until the latest Hour possible which is 8 o’clock and she was the last to leave a couple days back and as we were walking out the door I noticed the lady in child care who watched her was leaving at the same time As I began to think shouldn’t she be staying a couple minutes more to wipe down the room for the kids in the a.m? I Have LOTS of family wanting to switch to this gym and have told them I would not recommend because even the water fountain has splashed up protein powder. Nothing Gets wiped so upsetting considering it’s so close to home which is super awesome. Pretty disappointed if you want Extra Clean don’t come here

My opinion on this gym has become pretty meh over the last several months. They don’t do an acceptable job keeping this place clean and haven’t done good enough to have a variety of classes. Even their best instructor Paulette doesn’t have classes here anymore. It’s just a complete disappointment and I expect better for what I pay.

The gym itself is beautiful, the equipments are excellent, however they have only one CAP Barbell Deluxe Curl Bar Cable Attachment with Rubber Handgrips28” for the entire gym, also CAP Barbell Deluxe Straight Bar Cable Attachment with Rubber Handgrips, 20, they have only one of each for the entire gym, these are the most common cable attachments that everyone uses every day, good luck if you want to use one of these attachments with the amount of people that are coming there and they only cost $30 for the pair, most of their cable machines either missing or have broken accessories, their paper towel holders are most of the time empty with no paper 😳😂

My husband and I are members of City Sports Club in Antioch. The gym has equipments for body building. However, the gym does not have all the accessories that would allow members to use the equipments safely. Specifically, the gym has Life Fitness machines that require straps. There are specific instructions and illustrations on how to use the machines with the straps. I requested for a leg strap. I was told by several instructors to use the pull handles in lieu of leg straps. I complained to the manager but was told that leg strap is not an accessory they are allowed to order. This is a safety issue and members are being exposed to unnecessary injury for improperly using the fitness machines. The gym is putting profit over safety.

Great gym. Not too crowded. Plenty of equipment. Little quirks like you never know if the spa temp is going to be right. Music from group classes blaring through the whole place because they dont always close the door.Revised August 6, 2018 - this place is going down the drain just like a lot of clubs. The place lacks consistency when it comes to cleaning. I just wrote to the management and sent photos. Hopefully, theyll make some changes.

Very clean gym. My boyfriend is frequent. I personally love the zumba and yoga classes as well as the sauna. I wish it was open for more hours, but at the same time, the hours closed, I am told, is for sanitization. That is the main reason why I rate it so highly. I wouldnt sacrifice cleanliness for more time. Health is a big concern for gyms, so Im glad they prioritize that.

This gym has all the different various types of training, cardio, and weight workout equipment for anyone looking into getting back into great shape. Great training environment.

City sports serves its purpose, its a gym It has free weights, cable machines, and cardio equipment. I personally dont go there for the staff,personally I would rather they dont bother me and let me do my thing. I dont have use for their trainers so they arent a problem.They could do a better job of keeping the bathrooms clean.Other than that,they are what they are.A Gym!!!!

I work 7 days a week so its hard to get in but every time I do the general manager has something smart to say about how I should make time. On top of that he refused to let my friend quit for 2 months until we found someone else to do it for us.

This place is weak. Hours suck, they only have one incline bench while they have several cable stations. No 35 plates, the dumbbells only go up to 100, only 3 squat racks, only one water faucet, rude management. Oh and a huge pointless roped off area in the middle of the gym to make people feel special while they are in it I guess. The basketball court is cool... if u never shoot corner 3s and like running into walls. And to be honest they must hand out certs like its candy because some of the trainers are a joke.

I had a guest pass and they told me to wait for Sam Sam no show not even after 30 mins great so I ended up leaving way to keep costumers

Equipment is kool but the cleanliness needs to be addressed by upper management to the janitor. A bit nasty to me. Especially near the jacuzzi and ladys locker room floor areas!

Barely acceptable. The staff is a mixed bag, but mostly good kids. The equipment is nice enough, although there is no bounce mat and no rubber plates. During normal hours the place is full of the dregs of society: meatheads, juicers, pickup artists, bone thugs and high school kids. The meatheads and juicers are no big deal, theyre just hanging out, but the kids and thugs are annoying, as they tend to take over equipment and not rotate off of it. Sometimes the spa gets weird as high school kids get into it and make out during the middle of the day in public.Every night of the week there are a huge number of lowlife thugs playing basketball and smoking weed out in the parking lot as if the gym was in the middle of Compton or something. It doesnt surprise me that people get their cars broken into.

A lot of space, floor plan is great i dont have to worry about it being to crowded. Plenty of free weights and machines

No secirity what so ever in this shopping center or at city spot..my car was just broken into while i was working out and the camera placement is so horrible it couldnt be used. I was also told not only by members but the cop who came to write my report they get a lot of calls to City Sport about cars being broken into. Will be cancelling my membership.

Plenty of space to do your workout plus I love the pool option and sona.

Basic gym nothing special. A lot of meat heads who play their music on there own speakers (loud). Favoritism is an issue here. PTs let a lot of juicers get away with being rude, loud, and inconsiderate. Employees could care less and be seen doing their daily duties of watching youtube/netflix.

Decent gym to workout but a little busy

Parking is dangerous. Even though there are cameras they are no help. My brothers rear window was broken into.

Front desk staff is unprofessional and pushy to join up because its the last day and rates will go up tomorrow what a joke! Do no put your number down if your unsure about joining. They will blow your phone up every single day and repeat same thing over and over. Gym is okay could be better. Their schedule sucks big time because they close early on weekends... 8pm... come on a lot of us people work weekends and 8pm just doesnt work out for many. This gym would be great if they closed mid night or keep it open 24 hrs a day but that time has to change from 8pm people wake up!!!!! Also lately ive noticed they dont run the AC on hot days... you wall in and its cooler outside than inside... not a way to work out its really humid inside on a hot day... ... this place seems to be going down hill they used to leave it on when they first opened to impress people to join... but now they dont run AC! And another thing they dont wipe down the machines.... everything is full of body fluids from the previous person that used it. They shoukd consider having someone wiping down machines As long as they are open... all the people are super young and have no idea of hygiene.

Great for families. Very expensive. More like a country club.

Theres a guy here that jacks off in the shower while staring at you. White/hispanic guy, brown hair, fat, 58 or so. He waits in the locker room shirtless while staring at his phone until someone goes into the showers, then he follows them in. Watch out for him and report him if you see him, he has not been banned or arrested yet.

Only complaint is people sit on machines texting keeping others from using
