Our pontoon rental “worked” and got us around the lake to check it out. However, the man in charge showed up late to our appointment(Says to get there 15 minutes before to check in and he showed up 10 minutes after we were supposed to take off. So we didn’t leave the dock till 25 minutes after we were supposed to and never got clarification of when we need to bring the boat back) the boat had constant issues with the motor barely starting and upholstery laughable at the poor condition, and his “gas fee” is a joke at roughly $8/gallon that he just made up for an extra 20 bucks. It did the job for the day as we were just relaxed around and easy going but for the price and end product, I would suggest going elsewhere.If anyone is wondering the condition of the boats, the gas gage doesn’t work and he tossed a spare battery in the boat right before we left.Nice guy, hope he can get the boat business in better condition though

I arrived at OTC Rentals with my children and my father after the Independence Day weekend. The forecast was clear and hot, but we were hopeful that the Chain would not be so crowded. We were looking forward to an enjoyable time.As we arrived at the parking lot, we were greeted by trash cans overflowing with trash. I was very happy to see that the adjoining restaurant had had a good weekend after what must have been a horrible 2020.When the young man at the check-in counter was asked about the trash, we got an interesting answer. From best to worst, in my opinion, the possible answers would have been: I am so sorry, and I will get that resolved; I am really sorry about that; Thats not my department.Which answer did we get? He said, Thats not my department. Splendid!Well, we decided to inspect the watercraft anyhow to see if maybe he took better care of HIS department. Unfortunately, the boats were filthy and had some upholstery damage. I was surprised that this craft was even offered for rental in its state (see photos). When asked if we could get a different boat, as the one provided was not acceptable, he offered to charge us more for an upgrade (which was also very dirty).We declined to do any further business.

Rentals say pontoons fit 11 people, showed up with 10 and said they only allow 7 on the boat and turned us away. Youre better off renting from somewhere else. This place is a scam.

We rented for a few hours and the boat was very nice, however the man who rented the boat to us was rude and condescending. Wont be returning because I have no interest in ever interacting with him again.

Have used Off The Chain boat rentals for 3 years now for pontoon rentals. Boats are always clean and ready to go when we arrive. Our first time out we had 0 experience with boating, he was able to get us up to speed and able to enjoy the pontoon very quickly. Extremely friendly. Will continue to use Off The Chain for our days out on the water!

We were looking for a pontoon rental that allowed dogs, and needless to say, it was not easy to find. OTC has dog friendly rentals!!! Now, they are not as luxurious as the rest of the fleet, and understandably so, and way better than the busted rentals from “Jett”. I highly recommend OTC for amazing service, great value, and a boat your not embarrassed to be seen on.

The boat itself was great. The service was a little brusk though. The guy that checked us in seemed irritated from the moment we arrived, which is a little disheartening considering how expensive it is to rent a boat for a few hours.

Great experience, and very friendly service! My husband and I had 6 teens that wanted to go tubing, and they had a blast. Boat was very clean and comfortable.

For my significant others birthday, I rented the red luxury Tri-toon. It fit all 10 of us and we had room for more people if we wanted. The owner of OTC was super nice and friendly. It was my first time driving a newer pontoon, the owner was helpful and always answered any of my questions. I rented the pontoon for 6 hours and since we rented for 6 hours, the owner said we can stay longer (until sunset) and the only fee would be $50! This pontoon held ALL of our things. We all had places to sit and relax. There was room for 4 coolers aswell. The pontoon was very nice, no rips, very clean, and easy to drive. All of my friends and I will definitely be coming back!
