Employee didnt seem to care much about being friendly, having a personality, or anything to do with me. If youre looking for a business where the staff is more than inconsiderate robots that are programmed to do the money hungry corporations bidding, without any option, you will need to look elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and take care of it online where its cheaper, faster, and wont try to push overpriced and unnecessary insurance on you. Oh wait, yes it will. Good luck and remember, budget rental cars are the fastest cars. I heard you might get a discount code for the best drifting and burnouts. Drive safe.
Ibrahim shows incredible communication skills and tact. My car exploded and I was getting kicked out of my house and needed a rental. Then I hit a deer in the rental. He approached all of my worries calmly with great emotional intelligence. I went in having a panic attack and left feeling calm each time I went.I have had really bad experiences with Budget in the past adding lots of extra charges, but Ibrahim did not do that. He went above and beyond to meet all my needs, even giving me a phone charger when my phone died. Super prompt and truly outstanding service.
The guy who runs this place (Ibrahim) is a gem of a human being. He is really kind & compassionate and would make a great life coach, counselor or bartender.Ive rented from them on several occasions. Their cars & rates have always been good. Ill continue to rent from them & recommend them.
Ok only 1 star to this location since isnt responsible for customer service. We got the confirmation from budget car rent. However, when we come to pick up the car we only met teenager which told us that they dont have any cars available. Really, no calls or texts from them..
Reserved an SUV online. When I got they wrote me up for something else, but didnt tell me. When he gave me the contract I said its an SUV, right? He avoided answering that question but instead said hell bring my car around. I looked over the contract and saw it said Chevy Express van. I said isnt that a full-size van? No answer, so I quickly look it up and Im right. I said dont want a van, I reserved an SUV, then he said they didnt have an SUV. I asked, why didnt you tell me? but for no answer. I asked about other cars, and he said they didnt have anything but the van. So why did you take my reservation for an SUV? Next he says I can go to the airport and switch it. I said no, cancel the contract. Then the person who came in after me who was clearly connected to either that office or another office started working on me to help the guy get his sale, asking why dont I want to go to the airport and that nobody else around has an SUV because she called every place.Amazingly deceptive, unprofessional, and dishonest. How a place like this stays in business without getting shut down by the AG is beyond me. Avoid this place. This is the same place as the Avis at the same address, so avoid that, too.
We rented a car for pick up at 7 am. The office was closed at 7 am. Several people were waiting and wondering what was going on and some people had to leave. At 7:35 am the agent shows up. Very unprofessional.
Worst experience ever. I showed up to a sketchy oil change place and was told by an extremely rude man that they just had no car for me. I showed him my confirmation, and he said they have no idea how to know what cars we have. What cars are here need oil changes, and they need sent to such and such. You think the fact that its at an oil change facility they would have just been like hold on a minute well change that for you and get you on your way. But instead they leave me stranded out of town with no vehicle and no way to get to another vehicle. And then Priceline who I booked the vehicle from also wouldnt help me.
Don’t trust a word these guys tell you. Got over charged almost $80 dollars on some nonsense and had to call customer service to have the amount refunded.
I love getting charged extra under my nose and getting a $400 hold placed on my card twice.
Highly recommend renting from Ibrahim here at the Budget-Avis rental car desk. Hes always taken great care of me whenever Ive needed rental cars and I cant thank him enough for all the special care and attention hes provided, as Ive gone through various rental car issues. The car selection on this lot is admittedly slim, compared to a large airport location, but theyve still got a decent selection, especially for an in-town rental shop. Note that the rental car desk is *inside* the hotel.

Absolutely terrible service and zero professional courtesy. I rented a mid-size SUV for an off-road trip and received a poorly maintained Dodge Journey instead, with lack of Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, and the cars music system and bluetooth didnt function as well. I rented the car from 9am, and had gone there 10mins earlier to finish up the paperwork, but received the car at 9.45am. On top of that, they wrongly charged me $70 for gas (accidentally, it seems), and if I didnt get a notification from my bank, I wouldnt have noticed that either.Finally, to people looking to rent a car, this or their sister brand, Avis, in Ann Arbor is the WRONG PLACE to do so. The service at DTW Airport is so much smoother.
I’ve never been to a place of business ran by children I mean literally children they had to be 16-18, I rented out a car for 3 weeks paid every week ! And was charged as if I had the car for two months ! The manager is never there and these kids are taking peoples money! There is no professionalism there highly disappointed for the money I spent
I continue rent cars from this location. I have been renting from this for quite a while now. The location is very convenient for me from and work. The location is inside a Holiday Inn Hotel, and this allows for me to leave my personal car parked on hotel premises free. Staff has changed but the service I get is great. As a known face I am in and out of there quickly with the car. I have had a few cars which had some outer damages - no fuss it was marked up and no issues when returning. They have always accommodated my rental requirements. As a minimum I always a book a full size car. Budget business code discounts and weekend discounts are very helpful for my needs. My rentals are primarily for business. So far so good - I hope Budget continues to do what it is doing now and I will continue to rent. If I want some thing to change - I would like their operating hour is a bit longer in the evening.
We drove from Jackson to ann arbor to get a van because no one in Jackson had oneWe get there and we didnt even get a van. So it was uncomfortable on the drive to NY. When we got back. We let them know and all we got was 10 dollars taken off. We couldnt cancel at the time. Seeing we was already heading out. They should have handled it better. Seeing we called to make sure it was a van and when we get there ots not a van. Very unprofessional
We prepaid online, and when my boyfriend went to pick up the car the day before our vacation, they wouldnt let him because of his credit. This was after he was charged over $600 for the rental. Then, they couldnt even help us in person, instead telling us to call to cancel your reservation without even providing a number. If credit is going to be that much of an issue AFTER we already paid in full, then they should be checking it before charging their customers.

I have been trying to get in touch with the staff since making my booking. I booked my reservation online but the confirmation emailed to me does not match the online reservation I made. I called the provided number several times but cannot get through to the staff to explain I cannot drop off the car in Livonia, as I have no means of getting back to Ann Arbor. The phone service people refused to help me fix my reservation, even though the one I made clearly said to pick up and drop off in Ann Arbor. They said they would charge me a cancellation fee for trying to change my reservation. I feel as though I am getting completely screwed over by Budget before I even picked up the car.

Booking, customer service, and the vehicle were all excellent. Its a little tricky to find (located inside the Holiday Inn, little or no exterior signage), but that also means its very convenient if youre staying at the hotel, and the environment feels safe.Note: Budget seems to rely mostly on the trust system for reporting mileage. Dont get screwed over by the last renter who may have under-reported theirs. I highly recommend taking a photo with your smartphone of the odometer, with the clock in the background, first thing when you pickup the car. Glad I did- it saved me having to pay $100s for someone elses miles.
The car I rented was nice and clean. I loved the Sirius XM option. The office is located inside of a hotel which made it difficult to find. Service was slow but overall we were happy. I rented the car in Michigan and returned it in Indiana. The Budget office in Indianapolis on 96th Street is great!

We reserved a Budget moving truck from an Ann Arbor location a week in advance of moving across the country, and got a phone call from a manger two hours before our pick-up time stating that he didnt have the truck. No apology. No offer to help find another moving truck. Just the words, Having a reservation doesnt guarantee you a truck. Do yourself a favor and use U-Haul.
Jesse, the guy at the desk, is horrible. Some of the worst customer service I have ever received in my life. I will never go back and will not ever recommend this location. Budget should be ashamed to have someone like him on their staff.

Other than the return layout being pretty confusing (the assigned car ports are on the opposite side of the entrance of the attached hotel they are in), everything was a pleasant experience.

Location did not have the type of car available that I had reserved well in advance. When I brought this to the clerks attention, and refused to settle for another type of vehicle, he acted as if I had spoiled his trip, and not the other way around.
They run a credit check for debit cards that they didnt list on their website (I reserved them for just this reason, my credit card was still in the mail). With a ~720 I got declined and the lady lied to me about what I can do and then refused to talk to me. I called ahead to make sure I had what I needed and she didnt inform me of a credit check. Never renting from Avis or Enterprise again.
