I really appreciated how friendly and playful the staff were with me and each other, they seem to have a great work environment and genuinely enjoy working with each other. As someone who doesn’t know anything about cars, I’m also very confident I was manipulated into paying far more than I ever should have for a routine oil change. Even when I asked how I could be paying $100 for an oil change when they’re normally $40, I ended up paying $165 in total for being talked into doing various things that I’ve never heard of being necessary before that were presented as such. I tend to rely on others having integrity in my interactions with them and coming to this place was jarring because I could immediately sense that I was going to be exploited and I knew I didn’t have the knowledge of cars to be able to discern what was true and what wasn’t. Overall, I would just recommend knowing exactly what you want and advocating to make sure that’s all that is done if you come to this place, or bringing someone who does know cars if you don’t
Victory Lane Quick Oil Change sent out an offer for $59.99 for a full synthetic oil change. I arrived at their plymouth rd location (4/19/21) and Clint told me that these coupons dont work despite the fact it was valid through 6/30/21. He says their system is not updated for the coupons and proceeds to call a guy who applies a discount that brings the full synthetic to $73. It was good service, but I will not improve my review or use this vendor again until Im compensated for the actual offer.
Don’t go here if you don’t know about cars. They listed off at least 15 services that I know in fact my vehicle does not need. Then they charged me for a synthetic oil change because “that’s what I had done last time” after looking in my own records, I found that to not be true. DO NOT FALL IN THEIR TRAP. They get 1 Star for being quick and easy and that is IT.
The crew was friendly and efficient. Good service, a bit pricey.
When I got there on 4-19-21, there where computer problems my license plate was wrong the engine size was wrong, and I was informed that the oil difference between engines was a quart. It has me thinking about the repairs I have had to do on my truck in the recent past (last year or so) and wondering whether or not it was the because this victory lane on plymouth rd had been giving me short fills.... the guy working there was able to figure it out after little while and a phone call. But im most likely going to be going elsewhere from now on. Sad to see, it used to be such a great garage... ill be taking my truck in to see if there has been any damage directly related to low oil.
Every visit to Victory Lane is simple, convenient, and quick. They arent pushy about all the possible services you can/should get, they just offer their recommendations. Always kind and professional.
Clint is awesome!! Everyone is super nice and professional. Will definitely be back!
Affordable prices 100 for full synthetic oil
Self serve vacuum and car wash, many options for car wash really enjoyed the experience!
Nice people but the price of an oil change is Ridiculous here you can go to a dealership and get a oil change for A lot less money
Very speedy, efficient & friendly service.
Typical sneaky place. Charges for work half done or not even done. Watch out for fluids being topped up but not and being charged full price.
This place is awesome. Just a bunch of good guys trying to give their customers and vehicles the best service possible. They completed the service very quickly, performed all the checks necessary to make sure my truck was running clean, and did it all with care. They treated my vehicle like their own. It was kind of like a small town experience, where they treat you like friends and family. Definitely coming back. Keep up the good work, gentlemen!
Very quick, thoughtful and caring. Made sure my car was safe to drive and I really appreciate it!
I love this place! I am giving it 5 stars! All of the employees are always super nice and friendly. They always give me quality care for my money and they will work with you sometimes. I come here for oil changes, etc. I NEVER have any problems with them. I love them all! Whenever I have a question about my car, parts, etc they always give me knowledgeable information!SPECIAL shout out and THANK YOU to Shawn, Alex,Tim and Josh 😘😘.
All very helpful! Definitely in good hands when you go here.
This was the very first time I brought my vehicle to this store for a routine maintenance including oil change, tire rotation, engine flush, and etc. Alex and other staffs were very welcoming and professional. I also love their prices, which are fare enough comparing to dealers. Overall an excellent experience and I’m definitely going for my next 6 month routine maintenance!
These gentlemen are very thorough I drive an extra 15 miles because I know my vehicle is in good hands.
Shawn and Alex were very professional, quick, and friendly! They noticed my headlight was out and they put in a new bulb for me. My headlight is really difficult for me to get to, but they made it look easy. They checked over everything on my car and made sure I was taken care of. I highly recommend this Victory Lanes location!
Over-priced synthetic oil change. I went there out of convenience. Paid about $192 for an oil change, engine flush and a bottle of fuel system treatment. My engine take 4.5 U.S. quarts of oil, and synthetic oil prices have dropped dramatically since their introduction. I couldve gotten the same service at Monro for $49.99, and they wouldnt have missed the damaged serpentine belt that needed attention.
Just wanted to thank Shawn Hartman at the Victory Lane on Plymouth Rd (Ann Arbor) for some truly exceptional customer service, and more importantly, for being a wonderful person. Long story short... I have an old truck and had some trouble starting it after a wash. Shawn came out and spent a whole bunch of time with me, getting it up and running again. Its not so much the result (though that alone is admirable) but more so, that Shawn truly demonstrated an ample amount of kindness and sincerity that is quite hard to find while youre trying to get your truck started out in the cold. So, without further ado, Im giving 5 stars to this Victory Lane. Keep doing what youre doing, Shawn. Ill be back.
We have been filming in the Ann Arbor area and were getting ready to head back to Kentucky. Victory lane did oil changes on all 3 of our vehicles before we left. Very friendly/professional staff. Thank you so much!
Would strongly advise Not to take your vehicle here. Technicians who work here are shifty/sketchy and exploit individuals who do not know that much about cars. Not the first timethis has happened with family members either. Will also be filing a report with their corporate office, and citing the specific technician who did this. This specific establishment is not a fair and honest place of business.
I was in and out, very quick service! Employees were knowledgeable and suggested a few extra services but were not pushy about them. This is my favorite place to get an oil change.
Quick and friendly service
Ive gotten my oil changed here a few times. Never had a terrible experience, but never had a great one. Depends on whos working I think, but sometimes they can be pretty slow. I did get a free car wash though once when I had to wait a long time, so that was cool... but Id rather they had just worked quicker.
Ive gone here for oil changes on my Prius since I moved to the area. During my most recent visit, Tim inspected my oil and told me that I actually didnt need it changed yet (even though I thought I was overdue). He still filled my tires and gave me a free car wash so I didnt waste a trip. I appreciate the honesty and service.
Best customer service I ever had ! The manager there knows how to take care of people ! Great job!
These guys are always awesome, today was probably my 3rd or 4th time visiting this location.Tim with the help of another guy took care of my oil change. And gave me a list of recommendations for next time. No high pressure up selling, just honest recommendations they’d do on their own cars.Without a doubt I’ll be back again.
I had a great experience when going to get an oil change, new transmission fluid and few other things updated. Tim and Sean were both very helpful, friendly and engaging. They stayed late to make sure everything was completed correctly on my vehicle. I really appreciated the help they gave me and would recommend Victory Lane to anyone because of these two!
Ive been going here for about 3 years now; the service is consistently timely and high-quality. I usually get my oil changed, have my wiper fluid refilled, and get my injectors cleaned. Ive come here for a second opinion on how often I need certain repairs done, and unlike other places, they are consistently honest about when I dont need to get something done.
Spent 40 mins here for an oil change yesterday. Was not quick, slow, got talked into the $60 oil change, the receipt doesn’t make any sense, spent so much of my time talking to me about their pricing and services.
Was typical oil change. Came at the end of they day and they couldnt lift my car to rotate my tires
This place is terrible, I’m not sure why anyone else is recommending it. I went here for a simple oil change and it was $62 and wasn’t even synthetic oil. If I wanted to spend over $50 for an oil change I could have just gone to my dealership. They also tried to up sell me the entire time-telling me I need my engine cleaned even though my car is less than 18 months old...
No waiting when I got there but the oil change took 50 minutes and cost $90+ with nothing special added except synthetic oil and high quality filter.
The guys here took great care of me, got down to brass tax and finished up in a timely manner. 10/10 would recommend.
Impressive incompetence. They drained my transmission fluid instead of my oil... I then had to get my car towed, inspected, and refilled with transmission fluid. Its been two weeks (and far too many phone calls) and I still havent received a refund for the oil change or the cost of the repairs. Do yourself a favor and get you oil changed absolutely anywhere else.
The employee there are very nice and helpful! Adam told me that I didnt need to get oil changed right now because the engine oil was still good. He helped me to add air in the tires, refilled windshield wash cleaner, and gave me some advice about maintaining my engine. Thank a lot! I will definitely come back to get my oil changed there again!
I would not bring a vehicle here for any reason other than the car wash. People who opt to pay $50+ for oil changes are how this place survives. They are so quiet here in business flow because of high prices and they make it up by selling synthetics on luxury vehicles to people who dont bat an eye.I pay 28.01 for full synthetic mobile one in my 5.5 quart Lincoln and that is about my max.
I got my oil changed, fluids replenished, and tires checked today at victory lane. They were super helpful and even gave me a free car wash because it was my first time coming to them! I highly recommend!
Reasonably fast, consistently high quality service, and only occasional pressure from sales associates/service reps to purchase high margin add-ons. Know your car, stand your ground when you know you dont need a particular task performed, and youll be fine.
I am very impressed by the service I received today! The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They are under new management now, and I can definitely tell the difference. When I got there, they put oil on my door hinges which is a service I had never been offered before. One of the mechanics noticed a tiny crack in my windshield that I NEVER would have noticed. It just looked like a black dot. Im so glad he fixed it up for me! Another thing that I appreciated was that another mechanic went over everything they did to my car and told me what I should have done in the near future. They even gave me a discounted car wash. Awesome!
Tim was great! He informed me of some things that should be changed in my car without trying to oversell me. I had my toddler son and dog with me and he was very friendly, he said Hi and gave a treat to my dog! It was a pleasant experience and I will be back. Thanks, Tim!
The employees explained the necessity of any extras and asked if Id like them done before proceeding. They were nice and explained things in laymans terms. Service was quick. I would definitely go again and take my other vehicle there.
Good people
This was my first time getting an oil change here and Tim, Jacob, and Shawn were super friendly and competent. They helped me figure out what I needed and got me in and out pretty quickly, I’ll definitely be making this place my stop if I ever need any of their services.
I used to bring my car here while in college a decade ago, but made a return stop recently while in town for a visit. Im very happy with the service to my car, but even more so with the customer service. After that last visit a few months ago, I had to call back yesterday to get evidence of my visit to settle a dispute with a dealership (long story). An employee (Adam) went above and beyond to look up the information I needed during what Im sure was their busiest time of day and found a way to send me a digital copy quickly. He saved my day. If I ever find my self needing an oil change while visiting Ann Arbor again, I will definitely be headed back here.
This place is super convenient, it sucks to have to wait forever at other shops for something as simple as an oil change. It is a bit pricey, maybe thats just because I got the high mileage oil change, but its still not too bad. The staff was very courteous and professional, they answered all my questions. I wish they had asked me first before filling my windshield washer fluid but oh well. All in all they were great, I will be bringing my car back for my next oil change!!
A different shop overfilled my oil when I got it changed (after I specifically told them it needs less than the factory amount) and Victory Lane Oil drained some for me for free. Excellent service, the new manager Shaun (sp?) is a great guy! Thanks Shaun!
Nice clean shop. Professional friendly employees and a great car wash (all-in-one stop shop). I will definitely return for future service. Highly reccomended!
I’m leaving this review on both stores. I tried getting my oil changed on a Wed. At the Stadium location. The guys there said they were out of Honda filters and to come back over the weekend. So I did. 15 minutes after being open the guy told me I’d have to wait 30 minutes to get in because they only had two workers. He suggested I go to the other store on Plymouth. I get to the store on Plymouth and it’s now 30 minutes after that store is supposed to be open. The guy there instantly tells me he doesn’t have the store open so I’d have to wait. I’ve now tried 3 different times to get my oil changed at these locations and basically been denied every time. Pretty unacceptable.
They get the job done quick and make sure you get everything you need at a good price. Staff are very friendly.
Terrible experience. I will not be coming back and will be sure to tell the same to friends and family. Alex was pleasant but Jim was a demeaning jerk. Complained the entire time, talked down to me and was super condescending. Awful experience.
Professional, Courteous & Fast Service! Just swung by to have my oil changed, and the whole team over at Victory Lane was nothing but professional and courteous. Ive visited other Oil Shops but the Plymouth Road Victory Lane is head and shoulders above the rest. I can’t recommend this location enough. Go there, your car will thank you, and youll leave surprisingly satisfied as well. Its always refreshing to not be lied to. Big thanks to Larry the Manager.
They always take good care of my car and are polite and professional.
I came in to get a oil change on my company car the salesman Tim was so friendly and helpful I got a way better deal here than valvoline in Toledo I will defiantly be back to get an oil change! Thanks Tim your the best! I highly recommend comeing here!
This is going to be my new oil change place. Very professional, and personable.
Really good service. They know what theyre doing and theyre really friendly.
They were incredibly professional and fast. They took the time to show us what was going on with the filter and explained or early and went above and beyond. Great experience!
Nice crew of guys!
Took great care of me and my car. Super friendly staff.
Tim was awesome and I had a great conversation while waiting! Thanks so much!
Verrrrrrry expensive for an oil change (I think their cheapest was 40 bucks), and constantly pushed for me to buy more. After asking what car i drove, he looked in his computer and told me that they recommend the some fancy name (most expensive oil change they had, about 80 bucks), i decided standard was fine, i only had 70,000 miles. Who is they? the manufacturer of my car? or the company trying to make money off me? Nice, but only to make a buck; be careful.
What a dump. Stay away. Theyre bad actors trying to up-sell you on every fluid in your car. I just got most of them changed. Wouldnt put air in my tires because they said I needed nitrogen. Not true. The waiting room was the parking lot.
These quick oil change shops can be really hit or miss, but this particular Victory Lane shop was on top of it, had a communicative staff, and although they read from their standard upselling script, was friendly. Make sure to grab the 5 dollar coupon from the web. A little overpriced, but reasonable for a convenience fee versus leaving a car in a shop for an entire morning just to have the oil changed. It was also neat to see a woman mechanic on staff.
The prices are way too high, and the car wash is almost always down. Not worth your money and time. Far better places just down the road. Terrible.
I have been sitting in the bay at this location for more than 30 minutes and they have opened my hood and cleaned my window. Will never come back to this location. Go to a different victory lane and avoid this one.
These guys are DISHONEST CROOKS. Stay away!!!!!! I would give them no stars if it were possible! They hire amateurs at a large turnover rate to change your oil. One of these unprofessional kids stripped my oil plug which gave me an oil leak that eventually led to my engine going out (which now Im not even sure if it was intentional). I called their headquarters and talked to their Vice President (Jim Harrington) and he was convinced, regardless of the evidence I presented to him by 2 different mechanics, Victory Lane was not responsible for my car. He is dishonest and unprofessional, cutting me off when I talked to him, telling his secretary he was not in his office when he was, and then, arguing with me over some mechanical details, but changing his argument with my mechanic after my mechanic corrected him on his original argument.
Great Services! Stopped by on my lunch break and got my oil changed, The techs were super nice and helpful! Will def be using them for my Car maintenance.
Paid $12 to wash my car here - was not even that dirty...I think it came out the other end more dirty. Worst automatic car wash ive been to.
The employee was very rude. Complaining he was the only one working all day. Very unprofessional. For a oil change only and spent 70.00. I will never return to this business again.
Loved this shop for years and techs were helpful. Will not return now. Wife took car there last night and they were suddenly super pushy, suggesting lots of things the car doesnt actually need.Constant badgering while she waited for an oil change made her finally give in and get a headlight restore done just so the tech would leave her alone and let her go. Took an hour and $99 for what was just suppose to be an oil change. What a shame.
I’ve had consistently good experiences at this location! No pressure and respectful workers!
Use the self car wash AT YOUR OWN RISK. I was there today washing my car and the hose came apart at the top part that swings around, the metal connector piece fell right onto my windshield and rolled down onto my hood, chipping my windshield and scratching the paint on my hood. Do not use the self car wash if you dont want to damage your car.
Incredible customer service. highly recommended.
Quick oil changes, friendly staff, and fair prices
Good prices, good service.
Always friendly and customer service oriented.
Ive been going here for years - they always take good care of my cars.
It has good inside car vacuuming, the self car washing place is fun for anyone, and offers good prices on oil changes!
Awesome service. Friendly and reasonable.
I am never going back to this place again. I went for an oil change and ended up with an oil leak, a car with an awful chemical smell, and a dead battery that they couldnt repair or replace. It took me weeks to get my money back for the services that they did not perform correctly, and they refused to cover the cost of a new battery, which they admitted they had killed. The location manager Jeff Scarberry admitted to me that the attendant who worked on my car had previously been fired, and that he had reluctantly rehired them. He said that he had received numerous complaints about them, but that his superiors would not allow him to fire them again. He also admitted to me that there was a company-wide problem with attendants giving customers inaccurate information, but that his superiors were not doing enough to address the problem. I also talked with the District Manager Jordan Hessling and the VP Jim Harrington, and both refused to accept responsibility for their incompetent employees, instead they just belittled me saying that I was at fault for not allowing other Victory Lane employees to fix my car that they broke. These people do not know what theyre doing with cars, but they know how to take peoples money. They sent me a coupon for a free oil change as compensation for my troubles, but now I know the value of that is less than $0.
Excellent Service. The staff was very professional and I had an damaged O ring replaced free of charge after leakage from a previous oil change
Always great service with friendly and professional staff
Great service. Coming back again.
The shop is functioning like clockwork, all thanks to the new manager. The quality service is why I keep returning.
The store manager Donald, went above and beyond his duties to help me with my car problems. A really helpful and honest staff, I will definitely service my car here in the future.
They dont push you too hard to buy extra stuff- I appreciate it!
Fast, friendly, professional, reasonably priced. Not pushy in the least.
In order to replace battery in Buick Terraza, a bolt was too tight to be removed by myself. I towed it here, it costed $90 for replacing the battery (My new battery was purchased from Meijer by myself). The shop owner said he charged that much because they used the torch to loosen the bolt and others cannot do that way.Anyway, it is kind of disappointing. Definitely not a first choice now.
Usually fair. Pricey Wiper fluid.
Fast and knowledgeable...Larry is a great guy, ask for him!
Adam was very friendly and helpful, and the inclusion of windshield chip repair is a great idea.
Quick intake and good service. Pleasant staff.
First visit not a bad little gamer spot.
Very helpful, will be coming back again.
This is the only place I will go to get my oil changed and for other car services. They are the best!
Staff had no clue what they were doing ended up messing up my car. I like victory lane but the staff at this one are terrible and shouldnt touch any car
Got my car washed here... still filthy, didn’t get a speck of dirt off of my car. And no refunds!
Great service. thanks.
