Stop searching for an honest shop, you found it! These guys are not after your wallet. Brought my wife’s G. Cherokee to another shop before this one and received an astronomical estimate. This place did it for less than half and pointed out that I didn’t need work that the other shop said I did! And they had me on my way fast! I’m grateful for the honesty thanks Tony!

Ann Arbor Muffler was recommended to me and it did not disappointment. Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Expertise in Mufflers and brakes. Many parts on hand and the experience to do the work quickly, saving time and money. I walked away saving $2,500 from another estimate at a general service station.

Took my car to get breaks and those components changed. A few days later something is super loose and i need to take it back. But the shop burnt down and theres no info anywhere (on the physical building or online ) on how to contact them. Ive been trying to call other places to get in but they are weeks out. Looks like im stuck with that $800 loss.

The team at Ann Arbor Muffler has never let us down, and today was another example. We had no appointment, but drove in because we were smelling exhaust inside the car. They got the car in, found a gasket issue, and had the gasket replaced within a couple of hours, for a reasonable cost. They will improvise and innovate if necessary to solve exhaust problems, as they have for older vehicles of ours with part availability issues.

These guys always know what they are doing. They have been part of Ann Arbor for years. If they cant do it they will tell you. The prices are more than fair for this town - which gauges folks for mechanical work on autos. This place does not. I like this place alot.

Our exhaust was incredibly loud, and now it isn’t. Once more, their labor cost for our exhaust was only $30! I’ve never seen that before, and I’m grateful for stopping by today.

Communication was ok, scheduling was flexible, but staff missed a quarter sized hole in my catalytic converter found by another shop the following week.

They were able to quickly get me in to repair my brakes and rotors and stuck to the quote that they gave me. Great service!

Did a great job removing stock muffler and replacing with performance. Welds look amazing and pipe work is even better! Just wish it didn’t take them 6 hours for a muffler replacement but other than that they do great work! Costed about 150$ for the replacement

I called for some work that this shop doesnt normally do. Instead of brushing me off they took the time to explain what I should need and recommend 2 shops to call. Very nice and professional staff who seems to care more about the client getting what they need at a reasonable cost more so than just their time on the phone. Will definitely remember this shop if and when I need body work or other custom work they do service in the future

Amazing service! I had a leak in my exhaust and they took the time to show me the issue and explain the repairs. The price ended up being over $100 cheaper than their original estimate. I will definitely come back if/when my car needs repairs and would highly recommend!

Changed brake pads. Good work they did it on time as scheduled. Good brakes but not as smooth as I imagined. I would love to go back to them and fix the problem though.

Ive had nothing but great experiences here. I had a full brake job done a couple months ago. I heard a grinding noise from one of my brakes. Took it in. They inspected it, found a defective brake pad. Fixed the pad, and resurfaced the rotor no charge. Theyre absolutely straight shooters. Will take my car back here every time.

Took a used car there to get it inspected before buying. Very thorough, honest and polite. Didnt even charge me for the inspection.

They got in in on a Saturday of the holiday weekend, got new exhaust from the converter back, excellent job at a good price, no more coat hanger holding the exhaust up.

I have went to this place multiple times, and they always do a great job at helping me find a low cost solution. Probably one of the best places in Ann Arbor to go for basic auto maintenance at a fair price.

Very reasonable people, they have done various small repairs on my 02 focus and never try to sell me anything I dont need. They only charged me $25 to pin up some heat shielding that had fallen down, and I had my car back quickly.

They own torque wrenches says the Manager Ivory, but do they use them....not on my car!Faulty installation of a Premium 150,000 mile rated Timken Wheel Bearing. It failed after 10,000 miles due to center nut over torque! $400 down the drain. Ask Dave (owner) at C.A.R.S. of Novi. No torque wrench used on my vehicles just over torque by impact wrench! My brake job was the same way, Ann Arbor Muffler didnt use a torque wrench to tighten my lug nuts and brake bolts. This is faulty service and they know it!I filed a complaint with the State of Michigan but that was as effective as the Flint water crisis investigation. I will never use this shop again and they dont deserve your business either. More respectable shops are available in the community. Had to buy new lug nuts due to the severe over torque condition they left my car in. BUYER Beware, you have been warned!
