I am a long-time resident (21 consecutive years and two different addresses) and I LOVE Surrey Park! Its like living in the country with nice patios and landscaping, but being 5 minutes away from Stadium Blvd. and all the city amenities. Have there been changes and rent increases in 21 years? Well, sure. But show me ANYTHING in rental communities that hasnt changed in two decades, and even with rent increases, Surrey Park is still very competitive in the Ann Arbor rental market. As for the staff... Management cares about residents. We arent just numbers on a map, were a community. All the folks in the office are good at their jobs and make sure resident needs are addressed in a timely and professional manner. The maintenance staff, particularly Don (the manager), is amazing! Talk about caring about your job and the people you serve! They go over and above whats needed to make sure concerns are addressed. Don has been here one year longer than I have, as both resident and staff, and the care and attention he puts into the community is amazing. If youre looking for a new home, whether long-term like me or just for now, look no further! Surrey Park is a great place with great people!

I lived here for 6 months and it was a very nice place to live. I arrived on a Saturday around 8 pm, it was rainy and maintenance was able to hand over the keys. The apartments and the grounds are kept in very good conditions. My apartment was a non-renovated one but still was very good, all appliances worked without a problem. Maintenance was always very quick with theyre response (I didnt have major issues). I never had an issue with noise.Never had a problem with parking.Jason and all the staff was always super nice and helpful. All of them.I recommend this place to live and its affordable, close to a target and Downtown.

Bought a used fridge from this place for a pretty penny because they were remodeling. It has an intermittent issue that prevents it from reaching a safe cooling temperature. It makes a loud clicking noise a few times a day which I am sure they were aware of. Very big waste of money and time.

I love living at Surrey Park! Jason, Don, and Brian, the property managers, are a great team. Theyre always helpful, timely in their responses, and very personable. I love the quiet woods at the back of the community and the ability to use the community garden. And everyone who lives here is friendly and lovely neighbors! I highly recommend Surrey Park as a place to live in Ann Arbor.

My experience at Surrey park has been a wonderful one and I must say I havent come across a helpful management like this. Jason (the Manager) is very flexible and dealt with out unique situation with a personal touch. Don and Brian are best at fixing any little issue immediately and they are just a call away and you would see them addressing your concern right away. Our plans changed quite a bit with regards to ending a lease/extending the lease/going month to month and they made our lives so much easier. No other property would have agreed to all these requests. I recommend personally to anyone who wants to stay here and take my word they make you feel like home.

I lived at Surrey Park for 2 years and had a great experience all around. The staff, specifically Jason, the property manager, and the maintenance guys, always went above and beyond to address any issues that came up or questions I had. The location is great and the community is very safe and quiet. I loved having laundry in unit and a huge attic, plus a little patio to myself, and I always had peace of mind knowing the management and maintenance team had my back. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a more affordable, quieter complex compared to most places in Ann Arbor.

I lived in Surrey Park for five years as I completed my graduate studies. It was a wonderful community with a quiet atmosphere and friendly staff/neighbors. This is one of the few apartments in AA where you can get a washer and dryer (or hookups). There is also attic storage. There is ample parking and I never had an issue parking near my building. If you ride the bus there are two bus stop across the street from the complex and Kroger is just up the road. You can get to I-94 and M-14 pretty easily as well. The apartments are older but they are being renovated and the maintenance staff is excellent. Property managers are switched pretty frequently and as with everything in Ann Arbor the prices are going up. All in all, I was happy to call this place home and I would highly recommend.

Ive lived at Surrey Park for almost one year and my experience has been wonderful. They have been renovating the apartments, updating appliances and putting washers and dryers in the one and two bedroom units (they used to just have hookups and you could rent the machines if you wanted). The maintenance staff have been WONDERFUL always responsive and polite, even on one occasion when I had to call them at midnight. The heat is electric and the bills are high in the winter, but putting plastic on the windows has made a huge difference for me. There are no dishwashers, but Id much rather have a washer and dryer anyway. Highly recommended.

The only community that I know of that lets you grow your own garden in your frontyard. Management (Jason) is excellent and sensible with a personal way of handling issues and Don and Brian are the best with any maintenance or replacement.I couldnt think of any place better than Surrey park to stay in Ann Arbor, especially in the summers. I will really miss this place when we leave later this year.

This place is a lil gem! The one bedroom apartments are tiny but super cozy. Big window and high ceiling in living room really opens it up! There is attic storage which is great! The grounds are clean and the complex itself is safe and quiet. Everyone is friendly and keeps to themselves mostly. The management and maintenance are approachable, efficient and on top of it! I will say the heat/AC are not efficient and the bills get high for such a small place. The only reason I’m moving out is because of price all around. Ann Arbor is a really expensive city to rent in, so you are really paying for location. The area is really nice though. So close to grocery stores, gas stations and a bunch of other establishments! There is a AATA bus line right in front of the complex so getting downtown is super easy if you don’t want to drive! I highly recommend this place if you want to rent in AA!

Absolutely delightful place to live. Safe, clean, quiet. Maintenance staff is stellar--cant say enough good things about them. Management does change often due to Village Greens training program, but each manager weve had in the last 2 1/2 years has done a nice job--always polite and ready to help. I love it and dont plan to leave anytime soon!

Price was good but expect rent to go up 35$ per year. Also the electric bills in the winter are brutal these units are all electric heat ($300/ month when its really cold). Maintenance staff is awesome though, always prompt and professional. Nice access to bus lines to get downtown.

Surrey Park has been phenomenal to my fiance and I as we are in the process of moving into our first apartment. The property itself is gorgeous, with plenty of walking trails, freshly updated rooms with new appliances, and as an added bonus- you get your own washer and dryer! As great as the property is I have to hand it to the Leasing Office Team of Surrey Park.Bobby and Drake both have done everything they can to make our first move our best move. Theyve went over and beyond for us with anything we asked of them. Moving is always a stressful process, however both Bobby and Drake have consistently been understanding, patient, and most of all driven to solve any issues that have arose. I cannot stress how proud I am to move into the Surrey Park community, and with a team like the one they have here- I cant say that I would find the same satisfaction anywhere else.

Ive lived here over half a year, its quiet, clean (except for the occasional idiot who doesnt clean up after their dog) and the few maintenance experiences Ive had have been prompt and attentive. The staff is very friendly. A lot of the other complaints seem to be things they have worked on or fixed, my unit was completely remodeled with all new appliances that are really nice! There is no natural gas in this neighborhood so yes, the electricity will be a little more expensive but no where close to 500$, and the water is cheap. This is a good place to live.

Gross! Nasty! Non existent maintenence and unimpressive management. Do not even bother visiting or trying to reside at this pathetic place unless you enjoy the stench of dog doo-doo and tripping in the dark on narrow, unlit pathways. Laundry rooms smell like pee and are beyond disgusting. Locals are rude and smelly. It is a blemish on the face of Ann Arbor that seriously needs to be torn down and replaced with something modern, efficient, and safe. Never again!!! Please consider this fair warning to stay away and seek better living elsewhere! ....Enough said.

My husband and I have lived here for almost 2 years now. We love the quiet settings of the property. There were two main complaints that I have: 1) Heating bills - During the winter last year we only kept our 2 bedroom apartment at 69 degrees which is really cold of me and we were paying up to $350/month for electricity. If they are going to remain electric at the community they need to update their systems and insolate the apartments better. 2) No dishwashers. Other than these 2 things living here is very nice and a place I would recommend as long as you can handle the electiricty bill. We changed to the DTE bill plan so even though we still pay a lot it is spread out throughout the year rather than $400 in one month of the winter.
