Fare Ride was awesome. When my cousins wedding plans seemed to be in disarray because of covid related issues effecting our venue and transportation options. Fare Ride saved the day for us. We kept calling around and it seemed like nobody wanted to help us but Fare Ride had the best plan and ideas to help us out. We booked their hourly services and they very efficiently shuttled everyone from the hotels to the venue and back. They even found us a stretch limo for the bride and groom with only a few days before the wedding was set to begin. They proved to be very reliable and professional and made their special day even more memorable and our photos turned out great. Working together with them on this important day made stress a total non-factor. Every guest and visitor was so glad to have them around for safe and easy transfers to and from each venue.

DO NOT USE THIS TAXI COMPANY.Confirmed 5:00am pickup for flight back to San Francisco both via email and phone.After waiting for 15 minutes, I repeatedly called only to receive an email at 5:50am: The driver was assigned to get you. We sorry we can’t reach him. I’m not sure why he canceled this trip. The dispatch is calling to find another driver but nobody is responding. We apologize for the inconvenience.No one ever came to pick me up and I was forced to take the Michigan Flyer.When I asked if I would be getting reimbursed for missing a flight that cost *hundreds of dollars*, I got the following response: We are contacting the driver. He’s responsible for this failure... he must take responsibility.Translation: No, we will not pay you back in any capacity for this costly mistake.It has been almost a week since this happened l have still not been financially compensated in any way.

Completely ridiculous cancellation policy. After we ordered a ride we could not reach an operator again because they were so busy. Then we exchanged text messages with the operator who told us we had “wasted 13 min of the drivers time” because we needed to late cancel. I understand the inconvenience and would have happily paid a cancellation fee (or for mileage driven by the driver prior to cancellation) but we were charged full price for the ride AND a 20% tip for services we didn’t receive (totaling $95). Maybe the company should consider a different policy or procedure for same day services than they do for prescheduled pick-ups or don’t list your services under taxi. Again, Bradley P was not in our group; and I’m not sure how getting a cab on a Saturday night is unorganized on our part. The situation was exactly as I described, again would have gladly paid for time spent by driver. The comment that so many drunk people try to “waste your drivers time” speaks for itself.

Fare Ride was right on time with my reservations. Each ride was comfortable and I felt safe with a knowledgeable driver who said he’s been working for over 5 years. I believe they are the best local cab service in this area from what I’ve seen.

Was picked up promptly by Fare Ride after being stranded for a long time. Not one rideshare company could help me out and during a pandemic you can’t take any chances. I’ll choose the local Fare Ride Service and their good drivers before anyone else from now on, they deserve to be first on your list if you’re in Ann Arbor. Most other services have been rude or or take too long to become available. Fare Ride is awesome when booking reservations. Every driver always knew the town and where to go unlike most app based drivers who are Usually clueless.

Enjoyed each and every ride with them. Their chauffeurs are so nice and knowledgeable. The customer service was great, the drivers dont even really use the GPS, they mainly just would used it to find out if traffic was detoured/jammed.

The ride share services had some horrible surge prices (you know who) and gouged so many of my classmates. This service had very reasonable rates and the driver was awesome. Fantastic drivers. My ride was very comfortable and always felt very safe. Never observed any risky maneuvers or high speeds by the chauffeur, everything went smooth. The first leg of my journey started at DTW airport and then finished in Ann Arbor. Also, every ride appointment I had during my stay was on-time. Their best thingabout them is how their drivers are very knowledgeable.

Selected to go with Fare Ride for my trip to DTW. Couldn’t risk any delays for my international flight because other services seemed to be lacking in reliability, a frequent visitor and hotel staff even said that doing any one of the ride share apps is a high risk for a no show. This service was great. On-time, I felt comfortable and the conversation with the chauffeur was pleasant, very nice and clean cars as well.

What a HORRIFIC experience. I called on a Sunday at 8:30 PM and needed to be picked up at 9:30 PM. I was calling from Google Phone on my lap top but for some reason the mic wasnt working so when they answered the phone they couldnt hear me. I hung up and called from my cell. NO ANSWER FOR THE NEXT 46 minutes. I left two messages, but I NEVER received a call back even though the message assures the caller to leave a detailed message and theyll get right back to you. I tried to leave ZERO stars but it wouldnt let me post without giving at least one. I went ahead and made it a full hour. Still no answer and no call back. On the message it says they cant answer the phone because theyre helping other customers. Really? For an hour straight? I called Blue Cab instead. MUCH BETTER SERVICE!!!

Wow, Im impressed! Unlike other local companys, fare ride does not smell like smoke or fast food. Driver was a local and very accommodating. Although I dont often need a ride, I will be calling fare ride next time.

This owner is either very sad or very sketchy. All his reviews are faked. They have created different accounts and review their transportation services favorably. Definitely would never get in the vehicle with someone whose that dishonest.

Great experience. Clifford called to confirm my location and was there at the time we had arranged. His car was comfortable, he was very courteous, and the price was fair. I called and made the appointment for my local ride 1.5 hours before I needed to be picked up; the person who answered the phone sounded a bit harried, but this is move-in week at UM, so I cant blame him. Every ride has been prompt for me. Glad they are an official cab service and available 24 hours locally. After some sketchy experiences from the digitally ordered rides via mobile apps Ive reverted to the old way of things with this traditional company due to its professionalism and reliability. I can be certain someone trained, courteous and knowledgeable is going to arrive to transfer me to my destination.

Very dependable and the airport special is the best. I always get left stranded by other services in north campus but they come through for me when Ive desperately needed a ride.

Had a comfortable and clean ride with Dan today. Initially, calling the main line and booking my reservation was quite easy. Their dispatcher was very polite to me when placing my Ride request; he arranged everything swiftly in an organized fashion. I feel confident with their standard cab service, can also imagine the black car upgrade is even more prestigious, definitely would recommend them to anyone.

Very disappointed with Fare Ride. My train from Chicago was delayed 3 hours so my ride was unable to pick up up at the Ann Arbor Amtrak station. I called Fare Ride around 10:00 PM as my train was leaving Chicago. The guy I spoke with said that picking me up at 2:00 AM would be fine, and to call him back when the train left Jackson to confirm my arrival time. I called at 2:00 as we left Jackson and left a message saying my arrival time would be 2:25 AM. I also sent a text with those same details and also requested either a confirmation call or text. I didnt get either, and upon arrival there was no taxi waiting for me. I called them three more times and no one picked up (and I was not going to leave yet another message at that point). I then called another taxi company who came right out to get me. I can understand that they may have been busy with other customers or whatever, but to not call or text me back was completely and utterly inexcusable. A complete lack of customer service!My response to the owners reply:I didnt expect that a car would be waiting for me. What I did expect was a response to the voice message I left and/or the text I sent. Just how many times should I have a called and how many texts should I have sent before receiving a reply? The message I left when I called from Jackson at 2:00 AM was quite clear. I will be arriving at the station at 2:25. Please call me back to confirm that you will have a cab there for me. My text was essentially the same. I did not get a response to either.

Ever since I moved to Ann Arbor, I have used Fare ride to take me to the airport seeing as I have a job that requires me to travel a lot. One of their drivers Clifford was always the type to greet me with a smile every time he picked me up. If I was having a bad day, he would allow me to vent whilst taking me to my destination. Fare ride will be the only taxi service I will use from here on out!

This company told me it was my fault that it missed my confirmation text because “I couldn’t type”... the word “Yep” is not something they understood as “Yes” is what they told me, after they claimed they didn’t revApparently telling people ‘30 minute wait’ when it’s actually over an hour is acceptable. Text argument ensued. What a joke. Don’t use this unprofessional company.

Im always traveling and Ann Arbor is where I spend most of my time because of school so transportation is very important to me and this company has been phenomenal every time especially when Im in a rush. One of my favorite things when traveling is interacting with the locals and these guys are definitely local and almost always available. If they cant make it to you at a specific time they are honest about it, having a good name in town seems to be whats important to these guys and they enjoy what they do. I also appreciate how they have inspected vehicles and follow the transport codes. If youre looking for airport transport they have some good specials that come in handy when living on a tight budget.

Best taxi service in Ann Arbor. We use fare ride from campus to FNT Airport in Flint, MI and from Metro airport. They have always been on time. A+

As a tourist we got lost in Ann Arbor walking around, had my service dog with me and we decided to call a cab to get back to the room we were staying in. When I told them I had a service dog the guy on the phone started stuttering trying to say he didnt have any vehicles to hold a dog, I said we just needed a car and he then said he had no cars at all because of the festivities and that he couldnt help me. They literally wouldnt serve me because I had a service dog, but wouldnt out right say it.

They provided me with Roundtrip service to and from Ann Arbor to DTW. It was totally no frills. Each chauffeur was really informative and courteous. I felt really comfortable. My brother uses them often, he told me they are the best around, I’ll always follow his recommendations, except for women’s fashion, haha.

Not the best service by far and apparently during my ride I was informed by the driver that this isnt anything more than a loosely associated three car company which tells me they are not sizable enough to adequately service the public need for transportation on a large scale basis. My review might be a bit harsh but the driver was not very knowledgeable of the city, took me the wrong way which ended up costing me more along with the car being dirty and smelling completely soaked in cigarette smoke as well as bad cologne. Just saying. There are better services in Ann Arbor than this one. Choose yours wisely

I landed at Detroit airport from Florida I selected fare ride to take to my destination I was so impressed with the John the driver the vehicle was clean and pleasant ride I will be coming to Detroit on business often for the next 6 months I will set up taxi service with fair ride

The night before, I called and reserved a cab from Ann Arbor to DTW airport for 8:00 am, but the taxi never showed up. I called them several times in the morning to see where the heck the taxi is and they did not even pick up the phone! Left a voice mail on their machine and they never returned my call!

The rudest service I have ever dealt with. Yelled at me on the phone because they couldnt deal with bad weather to get the drive to pick me up on time. Missed my flight because of them. Dude on the phone accused me of wanting people to die bc I asked them why they were so late. Going to file a complaint with the BBB. Never ever use this service.

Flew in from Paris to Metro Airport and it was an exhausting journey due to delays however Fare Ride stayed up to date on everything and was right there to assist me at the baggage claim and transfer me to the hotel in Ann Arbor.

Although the phone operator is very responsive, unfortunately my experience was frustrating. I ordered a cab for a fixed time next day morning (5:30 am) to go to the airport. In the morning, the cab was late for at least 15 min, so I had to cancel it and use a different company to get in airport in time.

Since I arrived in Ann Arbor this service has been dependable unlike a few others. Traffic here gets a bit nasty during rush hour so any delays are understandable during those times so you might want to expect an occasional waiting period without having an early booking. Their taxi rides also helped me learn my way around the city. As a busy guy with a hectic schedule, there wasnt much time to learn about the area, their assistance really was very helpful. Id rely on this taxi service again. The cars looked and smelled clean and the drivers knew their way around and seemed to be well composed while handling the rough traffic hours. Best thing to do is to call in advance and they will show up like a charm.

This cab company was an absolute nightmare. I booked them for a round trip, first departing early morning (a time-sensitive connection). The cab seemingly didnt show up, and 12 minutes later when I was preparing to drive myself and left through the back door, saw the driver sitting by a nearby apartment building-- lost, and unable to call me because, as I was told, HQ didnt give him my phone number. The second experience with them the next evening: the driver I had booked days earlier simply didnt show up. I waited for 20 minutes before calling another cab company, ultimately taking an extra hour to get home that evening. In both instances, I called the company first, and although they claim they are a 24/7 operation, no one answered; I was sent straight to voicemail each time. AVOID THIS COMPANY if you value your time, would rather not be more stressed than necessary on travel days, and dont want to miss your flight or other transport.

I had several issues with my FareRide experience:- The moment I entered the car, the cab driver told me he had no idea where he was or how to get me home.- The driver talked in circles the entire ride home and sounded like he was on some sort of drug. Although my friends and I tried to politely not engage in conversation, he proceeded to share personal information, including several inappropriate stories. I felt very uncomfortable for the entire ride.- When I called in advance for a price quote, I was informed the cost would be no more than $85. After a brief detour due to construction of the freeway, the driver increased the price to $135. I did not attempt to negotiate the price, as I wanted to leave what felt like an unsafe environment.Do not use this service. They are extremely unprofessional.
