Didn’t call me back about any of my applications, then told me I had to pay again for new applications. When I asked to speak with a manager or owner, they hung up on me. Very unprofessional Karen. Do not waste your time or money.
Ken Is a terrible Maintenance worker and is very selective on who property he works on. He is very shallow to African Americans and uses racial slurs, called me the n word multiple times and refuses to own up to his actions. They don’t pay they workers and give you the run around, he is terrible at business would not recommend to a homeless person whatsoever. Money hungry. :/ breaks property, doesn’t fix anything. Run any customers who see this. Don’t even do it, not worth a dime.
This morning I received a call about a property that was available. I was told that the property was able to view. My application had been accepted last weekI leave work and head straight to the property management office, where I was basically turned away. I had received the call to come only 20 minutes prior. Turns out this is first come first serve. Why call all applicants if the first person to arrive automatically gets the property? What about the other applicants? This seems very disorganized and unprofessional to me. Had I had known this, I would not have went this route.

We worked with Azalea for two years renting our house and had zero issues! Whenever we had maintenance requests the office was quick to respond.

I once got an eviction notice because I was $2 short on my rent. The court didnt even take the case 😂 awful company never answer maintenance requests either Im pretty sure theres mold in my laundry room now from the people who live above me and theyll probably keep my deposit for it since Ive told them idk how many times and they have yet to do anything about it.
Do not I repeat DO NOT fool with these people, they tell you to do an application, pay the fee, then ask what property youre interested in. They call you and when you get there, they tell you someone just put a deposit on the property you wanted. So I asked about another property they never called me about it. I called a couple weeks later she talking about another application fee. Lady are you nuts. They did the same thing to my son, all they care about is getting money. They are nice.... sometimes. But i was helping my aunt to put in a maintenance request, i manually went up there and handed them a note. My aunt called to confirm that they got the request and my aunt almost had to blow them out because they lied about having nobody come in and give a note. This place is trash.
I would not recommend renting from Azalea Realty. And I wasnt even given a chance to rent. My husband and I found a house listed on their website. It was Saturday and we called to see about the property. We were told it should be ready to see on Tuesday or Wednesday, but we can stop in and fill out an application. Which we did, and we were the first applicants. We were told that, if approved, we would have the first chance to go see the property once ready and sign the lease. On Monday I called the office and found out we were approved.I asked when can we move in and was told that it will be ready in a couple of days, and we would get a call. On Wednesday my husband called and was told that dishwasher is being replaced and some other things are being done, so it will be Friday or next week. He asked if there is anything we need to do at that point (e. fill out paperwork), and wasnt really given any answer other than we will call you. On Friday my husband called to see what the status was and if there is any chance we can move on the weekend. He was told that someone already put down the deposit on the house the night before.According to them, property was not ready yet when we applied, but on Thursday evening, as it became available someone came by, took the keys to check out the property and came back to put down the deposit. So pretty much they advertised the property that was not available and ready yet, took applications and charged $30 fee. Approved people, and strung them along for a week, and then simply disregarded them once it came time to actually follow through with the call. Its like our application never happened. They could have called Thursday and said hey, we are done with the house, you were the first application on this property, are you still interested? But NO!Very unprofessional and unreliable. Agency very much so lives up to the below 3-star ratings it is given.
Never rented from them, but had a bad experience when we went to look at a rental. The house smelled of wet dog, stuff from the previous tenants was still there, and as we were walking towards our car, my husband noticed black spots on my and my daughters legs, looking closer, we saw that we were covered in fleas! My husband got bit A LOT. Absolutely awful, why would you allow a house to be shown in such bad shape?? It had been on their site for over a week when we went to see it, so it should have definitely been taken care of beforehand.
Pros: Good rental prices while on a budget. Convenient to shops, gas, supermarkets and just about anywhere. Great floor plans with adequate space.Cons: Sub par customer service. Hire more maintenance repairmen. Takes forever to receive security deposit checks after your lease is up. Some apartment complexes have adequate parking spaces.
RENT ELSEWHERE!!! WARNING! Kevin is a horrible person. Absolutely horrible. Money hungry, but he wont fix ANYTHING, EVER! Even in an emergency situation. This is not a good place to rent from when you have ANY living thing under their roof. They dont care about their properties at all, and care much less about their tenants. My rent is always paid on time, and is not cheap, as I dont think the home I live in is cheap, and it should be kept up as so. I wouldnt even give a whole star if you didnt have to. Rent elsewhere.
The Best place to find affordable housing in Anderson/Belton/Williamston/Etc. And they have a wonderful group of staff here always ready to help you in any way they can to get you in the house of your dreams! Kudos!!!

This has to be the worst place i have ever rented. Although the price is good, the slumlords are ludicrous to deal with. They are rude and attempt to play the law get real when a contract is signed, it is signed. Not only do they find EVERY excuse in the book not to do something, they say that they can enter your dwelling apartment whenever they need to (SC state law prohibits such acts, a dwelling apartment is an apartment that is being rented to such person) they can only enter within an emergency or if it has been cleared with the tenet. Furthermore, the landlords lie and attempt to intimidate you by saying our attorney is present. The laws are the laws and cannot be broken or manipulated when the law is justified in clear black and white. Not only that, they also do not show you the rental unit upon request. Most are rude, dishonest and simply liars. They are to bust to acknowledge you and then try to kiss your tail when they have ignored you so that you wont take your business else where. The only good thing about this place is the price. If you want a headache from lying landlords, then this is the slump for you. If not spend a little more and get a nicer place. This particular apartment was NOT move in ready at all. Recently, they broke into my dwelling apartment. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY GO ELSE WHERE.
They take application fee then when they call you about a home for rent they tell you someone JUST came in before you and took the place. Twice (UNACCEPTABLE). I then Googled it and find out were not the 1st ones with this happening over and over. Wish we wouldve looked first.
Azalea Realty Anderson SC is horrible. First the boost up the price on the house we got, but they didnt even fix it up. It has tons of problems wrong with it. Everytime it rains mold builds up on the window. The AC maintenance guy came out and try blaming it being froze because of the filter. But apparently, its still not working right after they came out to fix it. The guy with the glasses in the office is a rude person and he shouldnt even have the job with his attitude. We always pay rent ahead of time. But its ridiculous

We found a beautiful house that was posted online through azalea realty. My wife and I stopped by the office to fill out an application for it. Once we filled it out we were told we would be called as to the status. We were the ones who had to call to follow up, we had been approved. We were then told the property wasnt ready yet and that they would call us within a few days so that we could look at it and sign a lease agreement. A few days went by, I called again to see what the status was, still not ready. I called again today and they rented it to someone else. The biggest problems are that they strung us along for an entire week, never gave us a call, and told us that people would be called in the order that their applications were received in. We were so upset! They did not apologize for not calling us. We will certainley not recommend them to anybody. They are completely unprofessional.
Dont do any business the put you in some crappy places big you dont have lots of money that is... Just a normal young person I know had to pay all sorts of charges ...not a honest place in my opinion
Azalea Realty is the worst to rent from. Yes, the prices are cheap. But, they’re such crappy and low down people. They never want to repair anything. Very difficult to deal with. I wouldn’t recommend anybody to rent from them. They’re also pathological liars. No good will come to them from the way they treat hard working people.
My mother and I applied for a house, the application was accepted, and they told us they would contact us when it was ready to come get the keys and tour the inside. We waited two weeks to hear back from them and when we finally did it was at 5 oclock in the afternoon, their office closes at 6. Where we live, it would have been impossible to drive all the way from Belton to Anderson to pick up the key then back to Belton to view the house then back to Anderson to return the key in the span of just one hour. So we told them we could come get the key as soon as they open the next morning and they said that was fine. So when we arrived the next morning to get the key they told us the house had been claimed the day before. That there had been three applicants and they called all of them at the same time and one of them was able to tour the house immediately after they called and decided they wanted it. I cant believe they called all three of the applicants at once instead of going in order of who applied for it first! And then instead of calling us back to let us know they had let someone else have it, we didnt find out until we drove up there to get the keys... completely unprofessional! I read the negative reviews about this company before we applied for the house, but chose to give them a chance anyway. My mistake. If youre considering using this company I advise you not to unless they tell you the house youre interested in is available right away. I feel like they wasted my time! And apparently from reading the other reviews, we werent the only people theyve strung along for weeks at a time because a house supposedly wasnt ready yet.
Beware, I stayed there for a year and basically when it was time to renew my lease I put in my 30 days notice as instructed but they told me a bold face lie saying I applied and moved in on September when I Moved in on August. Cancelled my notice and had a eviction notice threaten to kick me out my duplex . NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. They are so money hungry it’s ridiculous

If I could do ZERO stars I would. Been renting from them at CAROLINA OAKS and for the past month the outside lights haven’t work so it’s pitched dark. Have called about this issue since mid July. Now they saying to email or come fill out an work order to get stuff done. Clearly back in May I filled an work order out for them to come change the bushing in the front of my front face washer cause it has started to mold plus I’m not sure how many ppl rented before me so no telling how old the washer is either. So it’s now about to be September and I haven’t had anything done but they sure do want their rent on time. Whoever the land lord is nor the owner of this so called realty place doesn’t give a cows a** F*** about there Tenants. All I want is for the outside lights to come on which been out for over a month cause I walked out the other night going to the gym at 5am and pulled a gun out on someone walking behind my truck passing through cause I didn’t see him cause once again the lights are out and they’re still haven’t came to do something but now the fifth time I call they need a work order. I think everyone should understand how to treat the hardworking payers of the properties they rent cause they on some D. Trump type of stuff and that’s not cool. Please do better with this company. Ive been renting from these people for 2.5 years and they are unbelievably unprofessional. They are dishonest, rude, and lack integrity. The houses are not well maintained, they will take every penny of your security deposit (i.e. 500$ for paint), and will lie straight to your face. If you are desperate, broke or just dont require professionalism in the place you rent from, then give them a call. Otherwise, do yourself a favor, read the rest of these reviews, and go somewhere else.
Their tenants at an apartment complex on the corner of Annandale and Cornelia are piling up trash on the side of Annandale. I called the City of Anderson to ask if it could be picked up and the lady told me that the City has sent them multiple letters about this issue and that the next step would be to fine them for not cleaning it up. The wind has been horrible over the last few days and we now are driving past mattresses and comforters blowing all out into the road. I then called Azalea Realty and asked if they could clean up the mess so that the entire neighborhood doesnt have to look at it and they said it was illegal dumping and not their residents trash. But since they own the property, you would think that they would just clean it up for the sake of their property looking nice???? The lady told me to call the city to file a complaint, which I told her I just had. I said so, the best thing for yall to do is just neither one pick up the trash? The lady laughed and said thank you and hung up on me. Who would want to rent from a company who is playing a game of chicken with the City of Anderson instead of taking pride in their own rental property? Definitely not me. I dont recommend you do either.

My house now smells like mold and mold has started to form on my property. When filling out a slip for maintenance I was told to get used to it or move out . They are trash and they treat there renters the same way . I’m having to take things legal to even get a resolution

After making arrangments to view an appartment because of traveling from out of town and having paid for the applications and being approved I found out the appartment was leased the night before. Not once did anyone from their office say that the appartment had multiple applicants . They were rude and for someone trying to re locate this was an aweful experience!!!
These folks are all about money. I called to explain that someone who I just evicted,was renting through them.They were unconcerned.This means that they dont do proper background checks.The typical property manager can properly manage about 30 units.They have approximately 4 employees and a thousand units. Do the math. I have yet to find a professional property management company in this sorry town.
I was renting from this company for almost two years and when I moved out they kept half of my security deposit. I informed them I was unfairly charged for things they should have upgraded themselves such as walls,window base and other things that needed to be fixed before the last person that lived there. This company is unprofessional on so many levels if you move into any of their properties makes sure you take pictures of everything and I do mean everything because they will keep your money. I pray God have mercy on them for Stealing from tenants because that’s exactly what it is.
So Ive done HVAC unit and duct work along with multiple other projects in homes. I know that when Im told thats as good as its gonna get is b.s. Ive called this place about 6 times in the past 2 months to get a real service technician to come fix the unit. It blows hot air all through the day and cool air at night. How does a company who gets their rent money every month before its due and cant even send a real tech out to solve this problem? I guess when you rent from crap places you get craps services. However the guy i talked with had been quite rude in his comments as well as insulted my intelligence. I assure this place is put just to get your money and not do their job as a property manager should.

I really did want to get a place there and I obviously make enough money to pay the rent all on my own I was making really good money at the time and I was going to make even more money than I already was making before that and they said that I didnt approve that really pissed me off because they still took my money for the background check or something

I was the first to know about a house coming up to rent, the first to send in an application, checked on the availability of the house multiple times, and missed out because I was told that they would call and let me know when the deposit was needed. I missed out on renting it because I wasn’t told that I would need to view the house before I could make a deposit. I was working when they opened the house and signed with another family. Shady business technique.

Every month the laundry room we are forced to pay to use is non-functional, our air conditioning goes out every 2 months, the plumbing as been trashed ever since we moved in. I literally cannot take a number 2 in my house when I need to without the toilet over flooding. Its absolutely ridiculous. These people are crooks

Appliances present in the dwelling unit are presumed to be supplied by the landlord unless specifically excluded by the rental agreement. No appliances or facilities necessary to the provision of essential services may be excluded.(b) If the duty imposed by paragraph (1) of subsection (a) is greater than any duty imposed by any other paragraph of that subsection, the landlords duty must be determined by reference to paragraph (1) of subsection (a).(c) The landlord and tenant of a single family residence may agree in writing that the tenant perform the landlords duties specified in paragraph (5) of subsection (a) and also specified repairs, maintenance tasks, alterations, and remodeling, but only if the transaction is entered into in good faith and not for the purpose of evading the obligations of the landlord.(d) The landlord and tenant of any dwelling unit other than a single family residence may agree that the tenant is to perform specified repairs, maintenance tasks, alterations, or remodeling only if:(1) the agreement of the parties is entered into in good faith and not for the purpose of evading the obligations of the landlord;(2) the work is not necessary to cure noncompliance with subsection (a)(1) of this section;(3) the agreement does not diminish or affect the obligations of the landlord to other tenants in the premises.HISTORY: 1986 Act No. 336, Section 1.SECTION 27-40-450.
