Dropped my dog off for a day of doggy day care. He appeared plenty tired and plenty happy when I picked him up. This was his first visit so there was a bit of paperwork to be done, but it was easy enough since I knew to bring his shot records with me. Check out was quick and painless, he was also given a free treat during his stay and even received a report card for the day.

This salon does a wonderful cut on my dog. Then problem is that the last time she was here, one of her nails was cut far into the quick. She bled profusely in the car and in the house, even though we treated the wound with styptic. Still, I thought I would give it another go. Unfortunately, my dog doesnt want to risk another injury and the groomer wont see her because she is stressed. I wouldnt go back to someplace that hurt me either, so it looks like we will stick with Natural Pet on Muldoon Road. My dog does fine there. The convenience of PetSmart is not worth the trauma for my pup.

Its surprisingly clean. And you get a treat for your puppy too. Easy to find what we needed.

The staff was very nice and my sister loves saving money here. The values she gets is one main reasons she keeps coming back. She really enjoys shopping in this location as well.

While itsPetSmart,the friendly and available staff make the difference. I only have a little leopard gecko who just needs some crickets, but the staff makes me feel like hes the most important animal. They will talk to you about your animal and remember you when you come in next time.

I brought my 4 month old Bernedoodle to the PetSmart at the North Anchorage location for a grooming appointment. I was very hesitant because of some bad reviews online at other locations, however, I decided to give it a try because all the other grooming places around town are booked for 2 to 3 months out! My poor pup cannot wait that long for a haircut!Ashley exceeded my expectations and I could not be happier with her new the outcome! Also the price was significantly less than what I was being quoted by other groomers! I will be returning to Ashley for all my grooming needs for all my dogs now!

Great pet store, works with local adoption agencies to help out pets

It would be better if they allow dogs. I want mine to be with me when I try new gear on, otherwise I might hit the trail and look like a nerd and just have to return it later.

Im not sure how smart the pets are but Im going to find out. They sold me on a Syrian Hamster 🐹. Whiskers was healthy, clean an well taken care of. I emmancipated her for about $14.00Not bad and good prices all around. Go get yourself a Syrian hampster, cage, bedding and dont forget the wheel and ball for exersice. Hamster in a ball omg so funny and Im admittedly a little jealous.

We go to the Pet Smart by Bartlett. Ashley Morrison works there and she does an excellent job with my pups grooming and baths. I feel extremely confident about my dogs well being while leaving them in her care. Thank you!!

Surprisingly busy! Pandemic or not, lots of people in town have a variety of pets who still need care and attention. Staff is very helpful and work hard to satisfy customers needs. Very pleased with the services, prices, and staff willingness to help in any way that can.

Fun place to go and just look at even it has a good different animals to choose from for pets and their employees are nice most of the time.

Hardly get the same groomer twice, so you never know what your dog will look like. A lot of the groomers are military wives and not around very long.

I wish I could give this 0 stars. I had made an appointment to drop my dog off for grooming services, which typically takes 3-4 hours for her to be completed. This time around they had my dog for 6 hours. No one communicated with me about the delay and I had to call and find out what the issue was. The associate I spoke with said that it was still going to take another 45min to 1 hour to complete her because her groomer left on lunch. At this point my dog had been there 5.5 hours. So I complained to get someone else to finish her because my dog was sitting in a crate without food or water. When I came to pick her up, the manager had no care that my dog was here for so long and just said “they would work on time management”. And that she suggested I do an express service if I wanted something quicker. She expressed no care in the treatment of my pet, just horrible service. I will not be bringing my pet back to this store.

They have really great sales all the time. The rewards program is great. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. Today my mom came with me to get a fancy mouse as a friend for her baby mouse at home. Shes never been to Pet smaty and I tokd her ahe had to come here. She and I spent over an hour looking at the mice, hamster, snakes, fish and all the dogs that were brought in by owners. We got a sweet fancy mouse and new collar for our puppy. I wish they had a petsmart in Wasilla. The lines are longer then normal lines but everyone is usually so friendly that theres arent the grumpy customers. They also have a pet hotel and other services but I havent used them yet

The store has really great employees, but suffers from poor management. If you have rescue dogs take them to a different groomer. The retail side is always helpful and polite, though and I recommend them for shopping 100%

My Great Pyrenees puppy, Ghost, has been staying at the PetsHotel for when I go out of town since he was 5 months old. The staff absolutely adore him. I can tell hes well loved and cared for. They can send pics by email and post on Instagram. My only complaint would be for our first few stays, getting pics was difficult and frustrating but it seems either more of the staff have been trained on how to post them or they just know Ill complain incessantly if I dont get them, so that aspect has definitely improved. They also give a 10% military discount. I feel the cost is very reasonable for the care received so I have no plans to leave Ghost anywhere else when Im out of town.

They love your pets and treat them well. They provide many needed services at reasonable prices. And just know pets are the focus here. Try the discipline training for dogs. Awesome instructor she was great with helping me get control of my adopted jack russell.

A lot of friendly people work there! I also enjoy checking out the pet hotel where a lot of people like you and I,trust to leave our pets there when we have important places to be and cant take our pets with us or have anyone at home to care for them.

I stopped taking my dog to pet smart for boarding and grooming after o left her there for a few days and picked her up and she had dried poop all over her hair on her rear. I decided to take her there on Sunday against my better judgement. Her normal grimmer was booked out until June. I stoped her off and of course she didn’t want to go. After being there less than an hour I get a call from one of the workers there telling me that I have to pick her up because she had a scab under some hair matting and now she has a open wound. Which is news to me because off course I spend a lot time with my dog and try to brush her hair as much as I can. So I picked her up and she’s completely shaved except her head and the hair around her nails. Not the first time they’ve made me pick her up unfinished. The told me that if I take her to the vet they will pay hr vet visit. Not even sure I want their money because these are straight up liars. Instead of owning that they cut my dog who is very little (less than 8lb) they lie to make it seem has though she injured herself prior to her appointment had a scab and not it’s open. After looking over her cut over the last two days, it definitely looks like the people there don’t know what they’re doing and cut her with the clippers. Picture provided. Please don’t be fooled by their high reviews, take your dog somewhere where they will really car for them, not a lot of turn over and actually know how to groom dogs. My dog’s groomer does a great job with her. Last December we cut her hair super short to grow it all back out. She had no cuts or scrapes. My dog doesn’t spend a lot of time outside and doesn’t hang around sharp objects. So to lie in my face about it, this place has definitely lost my respect. I won’t even be shopping there what so ever any more. Nada. When I first got my dog someone told me don’t take them to pet smart, all the lawsuits they’ve had and that was the best advice I received. I’m super upset at myself for think this appointment would be any better.

Pretty clean store, good helpful staff.

I dont think Ive ever been treated so badly as a guest in a store. I suffer from chronic illness and was so thankful about the distancing that allows the employees to bring the items to my car. I waited for over 20 minutes and was low on gas so I went in to see what was wrong. I ordered one 22 pound bag of dog food. I went in and asked the employee and she just stared at me and didnt apologize. I waited by the pick up sign and she just started hysterically laughing at me. Then states I have to follow her to where the items are. Whats the point of me downloading the app, stating my vehicle information and personal information to come in and be a joke to the employee and the boss who escaped through a side door at the front of the store. I feel so upset at this service as I come here all the time and never had a problem.

Wish they could get their shelf prices to match what actually rings up. Every item I bought rang up more than the shelf price. No point in trying to say anything, the poor staff look worn out.

Prices are almost all wrong. Everything rang up different than shelf prices. Employees do not know what an @ symbol means and that emails require them. Tried to help the cashier enter my email. It wouldnt take it because the cashier couldnt figure out where to put the @ in an email that is @gmail.com. anyway where else ya gonna go?

Staff is friendly and helpful! I was looking at replacing a harness, and they allowed me to try them on my dog and have her test one out around store! It was a perfect fit, thankfully... and, they had 2-feet training leashes!I would give 5 stars, but I had a couple staff members be a little more short when I wouldnt allow them to pet my dog or give her treats.Overall, I would recommend. They do well at greeting and keeping shelves stocked!

Its convenient and I like the selection of products. Can never walk past the cats up for adoption and anytime I bring little ones with me, they get a kick out of watching doggy daycare. Staff have always been helpful and polite on my visits.

The employees here are super nice. We had just adopted a dog and had no idea how things were supposed to go. These people were awesome and really worked with us to help us get the right products and everything we would need for our new furry family member.

My husband and I have been here more times than we can count. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. We are first time pup owners and super were super overwhelmed, however, the staff had been extremely comforting, optimistic and reassuring. They have so much passion for what they do. We have also used the grooming services who are wonderful! They were to gentle with our pup and they give you a progress report after the service. Love this store.

Better make sure someone else doesnt make your online order if youre the one going to pick it up, or else its like pulling teeth getting it from the clerks.

I had watched a video about how some of your employees argue about a federal law in regards to a service dog and the owner. In the video they were given what rights the service dog had from the owner but disregarded it and still wanted the dog on a leash even though a service dog does not need a leash if it gets in the way of helping the owner. Petsmart should really educate their employees on the laws regarding service dogs.

Such friendly and helpful staff. I use grooming services very often for my dogs nail grinding. Stylists are always welcoming and knowledgeable and I receive very prompt service. My dachshund can be a bit temperamental when it comes to his nail trims and stylists are always patient and tolerate his fussiness very well. I highly recommend PetSmart grooming services!

Use to love going here with my friend. But since she has a disability they say she cant work with the animals her self. When I asked for a copy of the rule they were uncooperative and hostile to the idea that they could be wrong. I attempted to ask the corporate office. 4 hours later my friends manager called saying she had to stop or she would be fired and the shelter closed.According to management people with a disability cant work with animal.A week later she was advised to try again unfortunately she was fired immediately along with all other volunteers.This is a bad place.

My daughter is 16 & has a few reptiles, we have gone here many times for crickets for her Leopard Geckos. Many times on her own. Now apparently you have to be 18 to even purchase crickets! Really? I get buying pets, but food for pets? Lost a loyal customer today!

If you like to spend your money on your animals this is the place to go they will train them watch them bath them then you can spoil them some more before you leave on all kinds of toys treats beds they have better beds for dogs then I do for myself go on spoil your pet

I love taking my dog here for grooming! They do a fantastic job and they are extremely kind to me and my dog.However, today, I had an incredibly subpar experience with a woman who works in the front portion of the building. I am not entirely sure what her position is, but she was extremely rude. I was standing outside the building at 7:55 with an appointment at 8:00 and she walked up and told me I needed to wait outside for “5 more minutes.” Which, I can understand. I have had people let me in and wait, but maybe they have changed their policy since then—who knows. A man walks up a few minutes after me (still before 8) and she lets him in and I walk in shortly after. She rolls her eyes at me and tells me I can come in.Now it is just the man and I waiting inside for the groomers to arrive. Instead of bombarding them before they are setup, we wait at the entrance. She, again, rolls her eyes and tells us that they are waiting on us!The attitude I received from this woman was unnecessary and unwarranted. Her customer service skills were well below the standard that I receive every other time I have been into this PetSmart.

Great selection of items for our two dogs & rabbit. Low, competitive prices. The staff is always very helpful. We had our dogs stay in the pet hotel last December for the first time. The staff there took very good care of our dogs and answered all of our questions beforehand.

I love this Pet Smart. It has everything and the staff is friendly and helpful. I love that they have pet adoptions too. We got our big guy from there years ago.

Store clean and clerks nice. Cats up for adoption but at $150 each. Dont understand why they would rather have them killed if not adopted, rather than give them away. Its not like Petsmart is going bankrupt. Their prices are high.

The grooming salon is incredibly unprofessional. It is a roll of the dice if they will even do what I pay for. This is the second time they were jot able to complete a haircut on my pup. When I dropped him off, he was also shaking and very nervous which is super weird to me because he doesnt even act like that at the vet. They did not finish his haircut and when I asked for a discount they lied and said they had been able to do everything I wanted. My husband picked him up and only his back had been shaved. I had to call back and wait on hold for a half hour to get my money back. I will not be returning.

A pretty great selection, but prices are all over the place for basic necessities. Sometimes you can find really amazing deals, and other times, youre ponying up for that one thing you cant find anywhere else locally.Everything was well stocked and maintained, and we loved seeing all the different varieties of pets available for purchase/adoption.The grooming services are pretty decent, and is one of the only places that will accept a long-hair cat for grooming.

It’s a great place for pet supplies and to check out the latest offerings.

This is a great community.If you have a dog, bring him to PetSmart and youll feel like youre at a backyard party with all the conversations that people start with you.Avoid this practice if you are associated with WITSEC. You never know wholl be there.The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. They care a lot about the health and welfare of your dog. They probably care about other animals too, but that shouldnt be held against them.
