This is definitely the best Post Office Ive ever been to. Some days I drive all the way out here from Eagle River because theyre open so much later then the other post offices. Customer service here is also much better then other Post Offices. If I have complicated shipping needs, I go here first because they know their stuff very well. For non-complicated shipping needs, they always keep multiple employees handling the front end so lines progress quickly, which is much appreciated. A self service kiosk and drop boxes are available too for handling your shipping needs yourself. The building is big and clean too, not to mention.This post office sets a pretty high standard I wish the other post offices in Alaska hit.

This location stays open longer than any other and has helped me when I needed to ship large totes of dry goods out to my home in rural Alaska. They process a ton of mail, and are overwhelmed much of the time. They have never been rude to me even when it was obvious that they were stressed and tired. I appreciate this USPS location very much!!

I am always getting other peoples packages and mail! Once or twice I was understanding, but its being a regular thing! Makes me wonder where theyre actually sending my mail to first! And you cant even get ahold of them by phone. It seems like just pure laxiness.

I sent my better half a birthday package may 18th,on june 7th I filed a service request to find it and on june 10th it was closed issue resolved. I dont see how that happened I was never contacted and I had to reopen with a new case number and was told it was going higher up the chain. Still no contact and its been three days. Her birthday package is now a month late and i presume lost or stolen. I had also paid for priority three day.

The fastest I’ve been in and out of a Post Office. Ran in to grab a couple flat rate boxes and they have everything well organized so that folks like me with too much stuff to check are able to briskly conduct their business and head to their flights.

So funny they ask for you to hold for a survey when you are finished with your call. Then they put you on hold, wating for a rep and you end up hanging up so you never get to the survey.They asked for one so here it is....Is there ever a hold that is less than 45 minutes? After paying a TON of $ for shipping and a lost package that finally found its way to Anchorage, I received a text update that it was at the Anchorage distribution center! All I wanted to do was see if I could come pick it up, I had already waited 4 times the quoted time for shipping that I paid for. Just venting here since it here since it wont ever get better. I guess Ill just keep waiting...For anyone that wants some assistance, dont bother calling, they are obviously to busy to care about the people they are paid to serve. I Wont pay for expedited shipping ever again.

Went in Sunday morning and hand delivered my priority 3day envelope to the clerk. Insurance and signature request from receiver was added. It’s been over 2.5 weeks and my envelope is “lost” not even with tracking number helps. And all I get from the post office is sorry. Thanks a lot.

Yesterday, out for delivery as of 6:10am tn 9400116901153986005105 was delivered at 8:42 PM. The issue is, I had the porch light on and it was laid at the garage door only about 8 steps to the porch. This happens all the time and they never ring the door bell or knock. Daily mail doesnt always come daily. Mail is missing that I get monthly and I get mail that isnt my mail. Mail is delivered very late at night most days. When I have tried to call the Muldoon office, no one answers the phone and there is no way to leave a message. Going into the post office at Muldoon standard response, I will check on this matter and get back to you. Thats a laugh.So many of my neighbors have the same issues. Priority package sat in the Anchorage distribution center for 8 days. Called to ask why, and all the person offered was excuses. Not only did we get bad service, but got bad customer service. I asked to file a complaint asked for a return call, but honestly I dont expect one.

Open late. The only Post Office where you can do everything from passports to mailboxes. Unlike other Post Offices this one will have two employees at the counter and generally a third employee for only packages or passports. The issue is that everyone in town knows about this Post Office, so there is always a line. If you see a full parking lot then youll have a long wait. This Post Office is right next to the Ted Stevens International Airport, so I think the mail might get out of town faster from here due to the location. I think this is the best Post Office in town.

Calling the 800# for help is absolutely useless if you dont need one of the menu items. There is no option for talking to a human. USPS is the supreme example of a zero accountability because of a monopoly and government waste. If I want help, that means I must drive a 98 mile round trip to talk to someone that possibly might be able to give me an answer, and never cares about solving a problem.

It is a big thing that they are open with live people until 11 Pm.For this reason alone, this postal location has been a big help.Aside from that,I do not think the postal clerks at one location are much different from the postal clerks at any other location anywhere in the nation. They try their best, and we need to try to do our best to make sense out of things.A postal clerk at the counter told me information that conflicted with what I had been told by telephoning the US Dept of State concerning renewing passports. So I decided to side with the US Dept of State this time.Though on another occaison, I had telephoned the Dept of State and had been given me wrong information from someone working at even that source, which was then corrected by someone else at the same US Dept of State telephone number.The postal clerks do their best, but they do not have all the relevant information concerning renewing passports. So we simply need to try to do our best too. We need to try to find a consensus, and try to use some common sense.And I guess that is life.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Worst passport services ever. Terrible customer service and insanely long wait times. Dont use the excuse of being understaffed as a way to justify your terrible service, do something about it. Report it all the way up the chain. Being understaffed doesnt mean you get to do your job with less professionalism. I work in surgery and we are constantly understaffed, do you think our patients deserve terrible service because we are understaffed...absolutely not. Get your s*** together. Peoples lives depend on your services, if you cant do it with professionalism and courtesy, get the hell out.

Eva helped me immensely. I found the box I needed, she wrapped it up, and guided me with the correct shipping method (to get bear spray home). The shop was open late, which fit my schedule and was next to the airport for a red eye flight.

I just spent a 1/2 hour online trying to determine the collection times at the main post office. Apparently the information is no longer available. It is apparent that I will need to drive to the post office and copy down the information i require. It appears that the basic postal services are beginning to fail.

I use this Post Office many times per month. It is a main hub and is always very busy. I miss the 24/7 hrs!!I have found the staff to be helpful, patient, and professional. They try to help out each customers unique need, as this seems to be the P.O. where many go with issues.This is also a Passport Post Office. There isnt a system to make an appointment for Passports so, when a family of 7 walks in and needs U.S. Passports the line and wait time increases.I generally utilize the Click N Ship from home. I can print my labels at home, walk in, drop of my packages and walk out. People give me strange looks as I can just drop them into the package drop, or on the oversized counter, and walk out, no waiting in line, generally. I am always suggesting Click N Ship. Many services are available online.

I got 4 expedited passports here, 3 did not arrive within time because the guys here dont know what theyre doing. Thats 360$ plus whatever it costs for 2 day shipping (several times) Im out about 450$ from this place. So they stole 450$ from my family thats trying to PCS to Germany. Im out 500$ in tickets. Its hard enough moving a family of 5 across the world. I have 3 children, 2 of them 3 and under, now I have to fly alone with 3 kids. Thanks for nothing.

Have a package on its way that Im very anxious to get been tracking it for days and once it got to Anchorage it was in and out of there in 20 minutes. All though it still needs to be delivered by truck to Sterling they were so much faster then other places. My package spent a full day + some in Springfield, Ma. Great Job to the sorters who work there.P.S. the other reviews are asking to much of the workers there its like asking a cart collector at wall-mart when the next truck delivery is coming, how the **** are they supposed to know there job is only collecting carts.

I mailed a first class package from here almost a month ago. It has not arrived yet. Scan shows out for delivery at destination almost two weeks ago. These people will not help. Tell me to go online. I did file a complaint online TWO weeks ago...auto generated email said they would contact me within 24 hours. Still waiting. Very incompetent here. This is about the fourth time this has happened from this post office. I think each time they put in parcel post by mistake.....from the way the tracking shows. They absolutely do not care if their carelessness hurts your business or if they lose your mail. They still get paid and keep their job.

We went to this post office 08/17/2017 to renew a passport and reapply for a passport. Richard and Mike were the two men who helped us. This was the fastest passport process Ive ever experienced. Both clerks were funny, helpful, and knowledgeable. Got everything done in about 15 minutes.

Worst customer service. Spend 2.5hours on hold on the phone to try to get an important package. End up getting hung up on before anyone speaks. Go in looking for help. 3 people at counter, no one in line and they won’t even look at my tracking number. The packages are there. Lazy, overpaid, government workers. Monday is a holiday and my delivery address is closed on Saturday. This is why people prefer UPS and Fedex.

I have used this post office for many years. Mail from here to save a days time, usually. The staff are always polite and friendly to me. It does get busy sometimes but often its the only PO open in Anchorage.

Long line. Clerk did not have money in drawer to make change. Disappeared almost 10 minutes and keft customers standing in line. Then again to take jey back to supervisor. Finally a lady opened another window, took a package from customer and disappeared for 5 minutes to back. Still long line. My clerk, one with no change, couldnt figure out their system to summon supervisor when I asked for one to voice my displeasure over long wait and disappearing clerks. So he again disappeared to go hunt for said supervisor. Shouldnt a supervisor actually pay attention to flow of customers and take care to ensure no long lines? If I could use another service, I surely would.

This is a 24/hour post office. Package pickup on Saturday & Sunday 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM only.I went to pickup a live plant delivery on the 4th of July (Happy Birthday America) with the hope that I could. Well my timing was off and decided I would return tomorrow at the correct time.Well USPS being so good/great delivered to my door after I had returned home on the 4th of July. Stopped by to submit a fully completed passport application Wed around 1p. After waiting in line 10 min for the one customer ahead of us we were told we needed to call the number on the wall to make an appointment And that they dont do passports on Tues, Wed or whatever else day... We didnt need them to DO a passport. Just stamp the finished application and put it in the mail..... We were also told no other PO in Anchorage would accept a passport application on a Wed. So I called my little town PO down on the peninsula. They said walk in any time M-F 9-5 and they would take it. So I did just that the next day and was in and out in 5min. This P.O. is a joke.

I gave them a 3 because if it wasnt for the poorly recited, obviously required script, there would be ZERO customer/employee interaction. Otherwise, they earned a big, FAT one !! Its like being at the Buckaroo Club all over again.... long lines and completely ignored by staff!

Really long lines. Several customer service ppl speak broken English and r hard to communicate w. They NEVER Answer the phone! And the phone numbers rnt updated! The tracking database doesnt work properly! And when shopping live animals they need to be kept warm and called immediately! Not kept by a door so they get cold and die! How do u lose LIVE animals?! Im completely fed up w how this post office run!

Called at 1:49pm on 04/19/2017 and asked about money orders for passports for my daughter and i. All i wanted to know was which payments needed to be made by money order and which i could use a card on. Was told to look on the website, i proceeded to say no, i wanted to talk to someone directly because i had already looked at the website and it was not clear enough for me. Lady kept giving me answers to things i didnt ask like how much money i needed, what other paper work i needed. So i had to explain everything all over again and she still wouldnt give me a straight answer, just kept telling me to look on the website. Then she finally gets someone else and he tells me i can just put everything on one money order after trying ti explain to me what paperwork i needed and how much money i needed. I inturrupted him, explained i already knew that information and that i needed to know more about the money orders. He tells me to put all $240 on one money order. When i get to the office i am told i cant use my 1 money order. I get upset and explain the phone conversation i had previous and he says well that wasnt me so i say that not what i am saying, i want to know why i was told that if it wasnt true so he brings out a woman who says shes the passport clerk and i explain the whole situation and she asks to look at my phone to prove i called earlier?!?!??!?!?! So we go back and forth, all shes saying is that it wasnt any.of them.there that gave me that info and that she doesnt.give out wrong information and that all im doing.is standing there blaming.the staff. I tell her excuse me? Im not saying anyone here did it, i just want to know why this happened. She tells me shes.done helping me and so i get upset again because that was offensive so she then asks me same last name? (As in my daughter and i) and i say yes.and she.rudely tells them to accept my paymentI get in a new line, get to another person on a different side of the.counter. he goes.through all of my stuff and then tells me again i cant use my money order. I was livid. I ask why i was just now a second ago told i could and he tells me well shes wrong, i cant do that. So i leave. This was by far some of the worst customer.service i have ever recieved. The employees were rude to the max, and treated me like a liar and for that woman to ask to see my phone?! Im disgusted😡

I sent my girlfriend in the u.k a care package and the man that helped me ship it was very patient (I forgot his name but the receipt says clerk 20, thank you very much!) It was my first international package so i had no idea what to do, but he helped me get through it.However, like alot of the other reviews, there are still flaws here. The wait seemed like forever and it seemed that english was not the man who helped me first language. (There is nothing wrong with this, and its not his fault, its just that when you work in a place like a post office, its kinda important for people to understand you) My package got where it needed to be without any problems, but from other reviews i think i was lucky.Overall, there are some things that can be improved, but my experiance there was pretty good.

My package was supposed to arrive October, ITS NOVEMBER NOW! This facility says it arrived and now scanned departed to local or nearest post office. Where does it go from that facility? Absolutly terrible. I arrived at 9:45 and was treated very rudely by the 2 employees working. The spent the entire duration of my visit complaining about how much work i was making them do. If I could give NO STARS I would. The USPS process for delivering mail and packages from the lower 48 to JBER (99506) is a joke and the US should be removed from USPS for them only.The USPS hierarchy should should be embarrassed at the continually poor performance of this particular region. Poor performance like this is the reason why privatization of the AK PS should in fact happen!
