Taylors transmission was recommended to me by a friend. What an amazing shop, and they do way more than just transmissions. Fair priced, friendly, and knowledgeable staff.

If there were negative star reviews, they would get one. I have NEVER had a worse experience with a repair shop. They have had my car for 4 weeks and refused to repair it when they were told specifically what to replace by my personal mechanic. After not calling us for weeks, they then called and said not only would they NOT repair it, but we had to have it towed immediately or they would have it impounded. STEER CLEAR folks - they are totally unprofessional and were extremely rude and do not seem to know what they are talking about in evaluating the car.

These guys are awesome. My wife and I were traveling through Anchorage and had major issues with our RV. They squeezed us in their schedule (every other shop in Anchorage was 3-4 weeks out) and got us back on the road. Turns out we had a plugged catalytic converter and they were able to replace it quickly and get us back on the road. They shop charges are very reasonable and since we had an RV their shop charges were especially reasonable. Many RV specialty shops would charge double but Taylors is very fair and honest.

Fantastic shop for getting your car repaired. My Saturn was having an idle issue to the point it would stall when in neutral. After taking it in they did multiple repairs at a low cost!

The owner of this business took it upon himself to find where I had an oil leak, made Ford cover it under a workmanship warranty took it to Ford and back then inspected their work to make sure it was done property. And ... he followed up with me every step of the way. That is service you don’t find often these days. This is by far the best car mechanic in Anchorage!

The folks at this place were very kind, drove my car to get a feel for my issue free of charge and gave me a great and informed description of what it could be and I was on my way. I’ll take my future vehicles to this place for sure.

The best in town. Place is busy but they try hard to accommodate my schedule. Always get me back on the road quickly at a good price.

Great work

I took my new chevy Silverado to them to see if they could help get some rumble out of the exhaust. After upgrading the system they said take it for a day and see what I think and if I didnt like it bring it back and they will do what it takes to make me happy. They said they didnt want to charge me until I was happy and they stuck by that. I brought it back the next day and asked for a little more sound and I believe it was their boss himself who made room for it to get back on the rack and got some more sound out of it. For MY particular job they rough estimated around $400 for the work but charged me less than $300 in the end. Alot of people in the costumer service business can be rude and careless, Taylors transmission shop is full of very nice and helpful people. Ill definitely be going back to them when I need work done.

Good place, honest, not too overpriced

I simply called in and was not impressed by the service. I’ve never received any sort of service from this place but the gentlemen that was on the other line was very rude and condescending. Service starts at the door, or in this case on the phone, and it was very poor.

The only conversation I had with the guy who ran this was How much money do you have to spend?. He found a bunch of things wrong with my car that werent asked for without completing anything that I DID ask for. I ended up picking up my car after the conversation, So, you want to me to pay upwards of $2000 for a lot of things you found, right? Well, how much are going to be the things I specifically asked you to look at? Oh, you dont know because you didnt even look at those but we can assume its gonna be a lot more? Um, well, Im not going to tell me my budget I have for everything because its clear your fishing to see how much money I have. Ya know what, Im coming to get my car.I ended up spending $100 on an hour of labor and my car isnt at all repaired how I wanted it to be. I hope that 100 put a smile on his, or someones, face. :)
