I made a huge mistake and lost the key to my rental, I knew Id be responsible for paying for a replacement and the 3 employees and manager I spoke with were super understanding and helpful, explained all my options to me and were very patient with me. Great customer service!EDIT: it was also super busy while I was there and they were still communicative and understanding!

Paid for an SUV. The car was not ready at the scheduled time and the only available car without a fee was a minivan. (We didn’t want to drive around LA in a minivan, sorry.) The other option was to pay for an upgrade. The manager on duty, Tanyana, who refused to address us directly, denied a free upgrade after we complained.The woman who helped us was polite but it didn’t make up for the lack of remediation on part of management. We ended up being 30m late for our checkout, which could result in a ding from our Airbnb (we had already arranged a late checkout).When you pay almost $200 for a one day rental you should have better service.

The review is for National which is located at the same place with Alamo. I wish that I could give this place 0 star because the service was horrible. We reserved a car for 8 passengers 2 months before our trip. They left us a message to cancel out reservation when it had about 26 hours left. They left message, not called. The staff explained through the voicemail that they got an air bag issue. Then, we tried to contact the company to ask but no one gave us a specific answer. We kept being transferred to other departments for 2 hours straight, but it did not work. We decided to come to the store to figure out what was going on, but the manager hid behind the counter and refused to talk to us until she was pointed out by a staff. They did not even say sorry or offer us any solution to help with the issue so we had to go to another Alamo in SNA to get 2 smaller cars. I think it is okay not to serve the customers in particular situations, but at least give them a reasonable answer so they will understand.

Very nice, friendly and helpful. Had a great rental experience. No long wait lines, and even recieved a brand new vehicle as my rental for the week. Will rent with them any time I fly into Long Beach.

I would put ZERO stars if possible, be more CLEAR on your policy when it comes to payment options. It says you accept debit cards, but when I got there (after waiting for about 20 mins while 2 associates were standing behind the desk “assuming” I’ve been helped)🙄 just to get told, I have to be from OUT OF STATE to use a debit card. Wasted MY time.

Terrible.. The most over priced rental company ever. Still getting charges three weeks later on my card so for $11 bucks? $11 bucks?! Shouldnt that have been on that last bill? Seriously? $11 dollar billing adjustments* almost 3 weeks later .. WACK..

Reserved a car weeks in advance to fit a large number of people. Got a call the night before saying they dont have that car anymore, but they have another car that can sit many people. So, ok whatever. Then comes the hour before when we are supposed to pick up car and I get a call from a women who says that car is also gone and there are no other cars to accommodate our size. Wow. So, I asked her if the other car companies they are supposedly affiliated with have any cars we can use. She said shes unable to help us with that. Horrible and rude tone. Not professional. Dont recommend this place unless youre ok with them telling you an hour before pick up that they dont have your car.

I had a very positive experience renting a car with this Anaheim location. I was able to check-in at the airport, and the shuttle was waiting to take me to the off-site location. Theodore was a nice driver and very friendly. At the location, Bri took great care to make sure I was all settled in my car. Her customer service skills are top notch! When I had trouble connecting my phones to the bluetooth another employee helped me do that as well.My return was similarly smooth, and I liked that I didnt have to wait for a shuttle to take me back to the airport.

Reserved a car months in advance for a weekend trip. They call the night before and tell me they dont have a car for my family. No alternative offered, no reason given. Wouldnt pick up my calls regarding the issue. Just that my car wouldnt be available best of luck bye. What a terrible company.

Like many others, I gave this Anaheim Alamo a shot, despite many 1 star reviews. Lesson learned. I reserved a large vehicle to sit 6 adults and our infant son while we were on vacation. We received a call on our day of arrival, a few hours before we were set to pick up that our car is no longer available due to a Chevy recall...? Ok. I call them to see if there are any other vehicles and nope, they are all sold out. Not only are they sold out, all the other Alamos in the surrounding area are too. So we had to take 2 Ubers the entire trip everywhere. It was a nightmare.When I called them to ask when the recall happened, they said the day before. I let them know that we should have been notified the day before at the very least. They didnt/couldnt offer us anything other than an Im sorry. We have used Alamo many times before, with no issues. This Alamo in particular needs improvement.

Ugh, of course my car broke down when I was in Anaheim for work. Alamo was the closest rental place to me so I took an Uber there in a leap of blind faith that they would be able to help me out of a bind. The location was empty when I walked in besides for one employee behind the front counter and I think he was excited to finally have a customer!I explained my situation to him and he was happy to help out! He quickly walked me through the list of available options before I decided to go with a mid-sized sedan. I got an almost new Kia that looked great both inside an out. The entire rental process took no more than 45 minutes and I was in and out in enough time to still grab lunch before my next meeting started.These guys really helped me out big time so thank you for the EXCELLENT customer service and promptly solving my problem!

The gentleman at this location were absolutely pleasant to work with. They addressed our concerns with kindness and fixed the small issue we had. Very much appreciated. I recommend renting from this location and I’ll definitely be back :)

Its frustrating not being able to call the branch directly you have to call and be redirected only to be given another number.I just wanted to see if an item I left behind on the rental was found that is all! Please just post a phone number for the branch!

They were organized and ready when I got there. Upgraded us from a sedan to a sports car for a very reasonable fee. On the return day we asked to change the drop off location at the last minute & they made the necessary changes to our rental agreement, which allowed us to do so. Great rental experience, will certainly use Alamo again.

Although I had quite a wait to pick up the rental car I had reserved, the gentleman helping me was very nice & helpful. He was the only one working at all that day so he had to complete the paperwork and wash/sanitize the car prior to me getting it. And it was super hot that day - in the 90s. Dropping off was a very easy process.

Horrible service! Do not rent cars from here. I talked to an agent to set a reservation, he took all my information, my drivers license number and etc, and I call back day later and talk to like three other agents and they all said they didn’t see my reservation anywhere in the system. They might have some kind of scam going on, but just to be safe I wouldn’t attempt it

I got a flat tire while on vacation and the rental car company I went through was completely useless. After a long phone call they eventually directed me to Alamo to switch my car out. (I was not renting from Alamo) When I got to Alamo they were unsure of what I was talking about (even though my car company said they had spoken with them) but still helped me WAY more than my rental car company did! They sent me to a local tire shop that would happily fix my car with no questions asked. I cant thank Evram and his coworker enough for being patient and helping me out with my dilemma! DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THIS PLACE. Terrible customer service. Complete disrespect for customers. I should have read the reviews first. My experience was so terrible that I will never rent from Alamo or it’s affiliates again. I’d rather stick with Hertz. You pay more but it’s worth it. I booked a car online and read the approved modes of payment. A visa debit card was clearly listed as approved. I should have picked up on the fact that you can’t prepay online. The attendant refused to accept my card for payment and could care less that I was stranded. I ended up walking to CVS because I felt unsafe while waiting for Lyft to take me back home because the staff person was constantly walking by snickering at me. I ended up paying $50 in Lyft fees and no car.Date of incident: 12/23/20. 3:30pm

I had a reservation to get a car today at 10am. I arrive and do you know what they tell me? No cars...NO CARS? Now I’m missing an important meeting. Way to go car rental agency with no cars

I have hired cars on a few occasions. This was by far the easiest process I have had for hiring a car, plus we got the one we wanted. Friendly staff and a nice Cadillac. Thanks Alemo...I will use you again.

The woman that works here is bad service and is Saying bad words.

Excellent customer service. The two gentleman I dealt with here were outstanding. They were quick to greet me upon arrival. The car they gave me (Nissan Pathfinder) was excellent and made our trip very comfortable. I had to wait a couple of minutes for the car, so they through in a quarter tank for free. The gentleman who took us out to the car explained some of the cars features and was very helpful. Will definitely be only booking with Alamo from now on.

Decided to pick up the car a couple hours later than scheduled as we would like to sleep in. Called the locations two days ahead with no one pick up, called again a day before for 3 times still no one pickup so leave a detailed voice mail as instructed. However, when arrived the location, the staff said we were late and directed us to the manager. The manager said we were late and could have NOT renting to us but offer us a much smaller car instead, we told him weve called and left our contact BUT he said there was no such voicemail thing in the location!!!!! We needed to go to LAX, so with no other option, we just took the smaller car (barely fit our luggage). The manager gave us a credit though so the car rental $ was minimal (thats the only good part).

Only giving 4 out of 5 stars because I was contacted day before reservation indicating I needed to go to a different location to pick up the rental. And the this new location took approx 1 hour to complete the behind the scenes paperwork (which I never recd any hard copies or electronic copies) and to wash and clean the rental vehicle. In the end, I was charged approx $50 over the amount on the reservation but they did take care of it after I mentioned this error.

Not really friendly, a women there was little bit rude, dont accept visa Premium credit card because of one world on it, debit.But french credit cards are both, you can hold on it.They dont want to try to...I had to take a Uber back to the hotel to get my girlfriend driving licence because she have a credit card. + 28 $ .Even in Alamo airport, they accept my card with verifications.Be carefull also with the ( Full ) fuel level in Katella.They are not as friendly as Airport stuff.

This location is closed. I had pre-paid for this rental on 8/12 on the Alamo website. I showed up to Alamo on 8/14 only to realize that i had to go to an Enterprise branch (Anaheim, Harbor Blvd).. i quickly called back my ride to drop me off at Enterprise. After waiting for 1.5 hrs at Enterprise i was FINALLY given an SUV per my reservation. It was given to me with less than a 1/4 tank of gas. The gentlemen that was helping me made it seem that there would be a discount because I had already been waiting 1.5 hours to get my pre-paid reservation. I was also late to a family funeral because of this. After I got in to the car i quickly noticed the DISGUSTING scent of cigarettes. I had no choice but to take this car as I was already late and there were no other SUVs on the lot. I eventually had to exchange the vehicle later that day in Ontario which was also very inconvenient. On top off that I was charged an additional $14 the day after I dropped off the rental in Anaheim. I was able to get a refund for the $14 but again, very inconvenient...

Awesome customer service. I can’t remember the girl’s name that helped us but she was amazing and made the process so easy! The car was nice as well as clean. Really, really reasonable rates and returning at the airport was very simple. All around, perfect experience and very impressed! Thank you for treating us so well and making us feel well taken care of... we will definitely be back every time we need a rental :)

Absolutely the worst car rental experience. Gentleman at the counter seemed wonderful. Gave us a “complimentary upgrade” and shuffled is out in 2 minutes. We thought wow this is so great. So efficient. We then drove an hour to Burbank. When we came back to our car we not only noticed a foot wide crack in the windshield. One of the tires also had been changed out presumably during the last rental. Our rep at this location never walked around the car and checked it out. Never notated any of this on any of the paperwork. It is clear that this complimentary upgrade was just a scam so that they did not have to be responsible for the damage. When we finally got the car to Hollywood-Burbank airport to change it out, the manager said that the only reason we were not charged was because I paid for the insurance.When we tried calling because “if anything goes wrong and you would not be rating us five stars, please call us to make it right”. They never answered their phones or called back after our numerous messages. DO NOT RENT HEREUpdate:They called us today. 3 hours AFTER our rental was returned to ask if they could assist with anything. Seriously? You couldn’t be bothered to call us back while we still had the car?!?!?

This Alamo was good, the staff was nice and friendly. Only four stars because I book Alamo because you normally get to choose your car and you cant do that here. However, they gave me a great car, cleaned it up and had it started and ready to go quickly!

I got a reservation earlier today it was confirmed Abd after I walked 3/4 miles to pick it up they said we have no car available!!??

Unfortunately my experience didnt go so well. The staff that checked out the car to me was very friendly and helpful. He gave me a free upgrade and told me to return the car with 3/4 of a tank since it wasnt completely full when I got it (which I did). When I checked my credit card statement, I was charged for the upgrade and the gas. It was a hassle having to call in to correct this issue.

Rented 2 different cars within 1 week. First car was a Nissan Rogue which we had reserved. The car ran without any issues and was easy to drive. The second we walked in and rented a car for a day as we had returned the previous car after it being due for return and we had underestimated the need for a car.We didnt have a reservation for the second one and the only cars they had available was a Charger and a Challenger. They happily rented one out for us and gave us a good deal.The customer service was second to none and I would highly recommend anyone come visit this Alamo to rent a car. The staff will bend over backwards to help you get into the car you need. Am already looking forward to our next visit to Anaheim so that we can rent a car from Alamo again.

A+++ This particular location has some of the better staff and friendlier customer service than most rental car experiences I have had over multiple companies. I have not rented from Alamo/National in a while, but if this is how they all operate, I may develop some brand loyalty.If you are at Disney, the Anaheim convention center or a nearby hotel, the location is walk-able from almost anywhere in the area.

I paid for a full size car and was given a compact suv at the airport. Stopped by this location and the ladies working made it right, by getting me back into a full size car. Thank you Alamo and thank you ladies for being awesome!!!

Great customer service at this location. I had a great experience dealing with Mason who is the Station manager at this location. He was very attentive and he gave me a great deal on my rental. Ive rented many cars in my life and this location by far was the smoothest transiton from beginning to end. I highly recommend dealing with this Anaheim location(which is minutes from Disneyland).

There is no National Emerald Club at this local Disneyland location, so you must wait in line for an attendant. Very helpful staff. Busy, but working as fast to get through everyone as quickly as possible. Limited style cars on a 30 car park.

A very well-run branch. The staff were very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Got me into a better car than I was expecting with no hassle. There was a clear explanation of all charges. I had a last minute change request (after the paperwork was printed out) and they happily accommodated the change. The comfortable seating when waiting for a ride back was a plus. Thanks for helping to make our trip to Orange County a positive experience.

Had a car reserved but was not allowed to rent it because I do not have a credit card, only debit. Nowhere on the website and/or Terms and Conditions does it say a credit card is required to rent a card. Called the 1-800 number and spoke to someone in customer service who confirmed a credit card was not required and that I should show my travel itinerary. I did so, even presented a company credit card, but was not allowed to rent the car. Ended up having to cancel our plans and take Uber to our next destination, which ended up costing a lot of extra money.

Our experience with Alamo was awesome. We really enjoyed our vehicle it helped us out alot to go sightseeing. Everyone was nice and professional. We were not from that area and the employees gave us some good tips on where to go. Thank you again we really enjoy are stay in Anaheim and our vehicle was awesome.

Convenient to the Disney Resort. Well maintained cars. I experienced excellent customer service over the phone and via email. This location may differ in their policies.

The service at the centre is excellent. The staff will go the extra mile to make sure that you get the best deal and get you going in the shortest time possible. The car I rented had gas gauge problem and we filled it more than we should, the staff there reimbursed us without much hassle. Alamo is definitely my preferred car rental whenever I travel to the US.

Last minute rental car as prior company failed to rent to me. They were fast, helpful, less expensive that most. I was in my car in 10 minutes and on my way. Very nice 2014 Toyota Corolla. Would definitely rent a car from them again.

Great Service!!!I was a bit suspect from all the negative reviews, of which I did not check before making my reservation through Priceline.I showed up earlier than my reservation. The office was packed with people and they still had me in a car within 15mins. Even got a free upgrade since the car I reserved was not returned yet.Chevy Envoy was very clean and great on gas (hybrid). $25 per day and no one tried to push insurance (I used my personal ins).Drop off was a breeze and had no issues.Thank you for amazing service and a great vehicle!

The car that I reserved online was not available when I went to pick it up that afternoon. I was told that I would have to pay an an upgrade fee to get the next car that was available. It would have been nice if they honored the total paid when I booked online, and not forced to pay an upgrade fee. When I mentioned that I really only needed a car for one day and not two, he said that I could return it the next evening and only have to pay half of the cost. The customer service was not great, and I was told to just enjoy the car because I am on vacation. In the end I was charged for two full days even though I only used the car for one day, and there were other fees added on that I was not aware of when I booked online. Dont trust the total you see when you book online. All that being said, the car we received was clean and a nice vehicle to drive.

Best Alamo experience ever! Staff was friendly and got me going with no muss or fuss. And the car was nicely appointed and was fairly new with low mileage.

High stress work environment. You can tell in the employees faces and tone. They werent bad, but I was routine.Car was just ok clean, but this is totally a ”turn n burn location... No time for chit chat.

Car was nice. Process was smooth. Phone number was wrong on the website, Google and at the National office, so we couldnt reach them in advance for the promised free local shuttle to their facility, but everything went well once we walked there.

The place open on time at 7:30 in the morning on a Sunday. The guy who checked us in was very efficient and friendly. We were on our way in no time with no hassle.

The feeling of renting a car was very, very bad. For the first time, there was no way to increase the driver. I had to go back to the base of the original car rental. The second time, because the engine fault light was on and the car was changed, they told me that the abnormal state could not be confirmed. Go to the original rental car base to check. I won’t rent this again next time! And they are not answering the phone.

Worse experience ever. they dont treat their customers with respect. i inquired about an upgrade and the guy said they do not have time for that. He continue to insult me by telling me next time i will give you a lollipop. How do you ask a grown person do you want a lollipop? if i shut up. To make the situation worse he talked down to me in front of my friends. i dont understand how do you treat your customers that way. Someone before me got a free upgrade without any problems or talk back. I dont know if you treat all your customers like that or just because Im hispanic but this is un acceptable.

Poor service, agents are disorganized and lot is small. Cars are triple parked and it takes a long time to get your car out. Start to finish I was there for an hour! Unless you don’t mind waiting I’d opt for another agent.

I booked a car by calling their number and I especially pointed out I didnt have credit card (traveling from abroad) only debit. They said its ok. After walking there for 7 miles it wasnt ok and they said their policy is only credit cards. Thats ok but could have said it on the phone. Clerk at the shop was very friendly though..

SUV wasnt available so we got a newer chysler minivan, free upgrade. Turned out bigger and better than the Chevy suv. Only bad was I noticed no registration anywhere in the van with Connecticut license plates. Great cruise control with +/- 1 mile per hour buttons.

Returned my rental to this location with some dog hairs on the chair, the reception person told me she will charge me a detail cleaning on that. I was so surprised this was the first time I heard something like that. Luckily, I carried duct tape with me, It only took 3 mins to take all the hair out on a duct tape. And she said “Oh, its clean now”. Speechless, I would never come back to this location!!

I GOT CHARGED 200 EXTRA FROM THIS COMPANY TODAY FROM A RESERVATION IN JUNE. I HAD THE CAR A LITTLE OVER A WEEK. THE INSURANCE WAS FAIRLY CHEAP ALONG WITH THE RATE WHICH IS WHAT MADE ME GO WITH IT AND EXTEND THE RESERVATION A FEW DAYS MORE FROM THE WEEK I RESERVED IT.TODAY, I WAS CHARGED AN EXTRA 205 ON TOP OF THE 686.19 TRANSACTION THAT TOOK PLACE IN JUNE. MIND YOU THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A FULLSIZE/PREMIUM CAR QUOTED AT 324.88 before coverage and tax. i left out at a total of 484....after extension of the car a few day my rate went from 484/change to 686.19. WHICH WAS GREAT TO ME BECAUSE IT WAS ONLY A COUPLE HUNDRED EXTRA FOR THE FEW DAYS. I WAS TOLD THIS WHEN I CALLED TO EXTEND IT. SO NOW, HOW AND WHERE DID THIS EXTRA 205.85 come about?i called the Customer Support and they send me an invoice dated for today and the total is 892 for 13 days?? THE CDW IN ITSELF IS SKY HIGH AS IF IT WAS ADJUSTED INTO THIS NEW INVOICE TO MAKE ME BELIEVE THAT WAS WHAT WAS IN MY OLD INVOICE. MY CREDIT STATEMENT EVEN SHOWS A WHOLE DIFFERENT PRICE THAN WHAT IM SEEING NOW..MY CREDIT CARD SHOWS A POSTED BALANCE OF 686.19 FROM JUNE 2016. I NEED ANSWERS. IVE BEEN RENTING FROM THIS PLACE FOR A WHILE. I EVEN DO ALAMO INSIDERS. 1000 FOR ALMOST 13 DAYS SOUNDS RIDICULOUS

We had our car available but had to wait for GPS and to have it cleaned which changed an expected 10 minute experience into 1 1/2hr. This branch has a very capable Supervisor who is calm under all sorts of pressure. She did a wonderful job but the stress could be alleviated if (1). Cars were cleaned the night before (2) They had a heap of GPSs spare. Its a given these days that most people need a GPS so there should be heaps more ready. Advice for Aussis - in the States now a full size car is not a big Commodore capable of carrying 5 people + suitcases. Its more like a Mitsubishi Altima (2.5L). We knew this so got a Chrysler Town and Country - Mini-Van which is 7 seater. This was brilliant and even have DVD players for those long trips.Once again; Megan was great and an amazing asset to any company. Alamo need to just fix up some logistical issues to keep her sane!
