I’ve been going to D’Luna Salon for over a year. I take a 45 min drive from queens to Long Island only because Christie is the best nail tech I’ve ever had and I refuse to go back to a basic salon and have basic nails. She makes every trip worth it and worth the money I spend. She listens and is very attentive. She’s always down for new ideas and bringing my ideas to life. I love that she takes her time and doesn’t rush.I have no idea what’s with all the negative review but I haven’t had one issue with Christie. Anything wrong with my nails she works with me so she can fix it. She’s professional compare to other nail techs I’ve had my dose with. Communication level is great. I can’t ask for a better nail tech. Never had a problem with my appointments or my nails.If you want Quality nails D’Luna Salon is the salon to go to, just expect to pay for what you want but it’s worth every dollar spent.

Every time I go to D Luna it is an escape. The positive vibes greet you at the door. Good music in the background and quality one on one service. Not like other salons congested with a hundred people. Christie has been doing my nails for a while and dedicates her time to perfection and detail. She is very knowledgeable about the function of nails and what products are best to use depending on the person. You feel like your famous getting such amazing service. You get what you pay for and every time I am out I get stopped because of how beautiful my nails are. They look like a million bucks and it shows! I love this salon because its one of a kind. It has helped me more then just looking good, but finding peace and confidence as well. I highly recommend booking an appointment, and if interested book an advance because she is super busy bc she is so talented!

I’m so happy I found this nail salon. Christie is amazing!!! She is professional and a perfectionist at her craft!!!! She uses high quality products & my nails consistently last 5-6 weeks. Never heard about a Russian mani/pedi until I encountered this salon. She will be doing my bridal nails & I can’t wait!!! Last but not least, I love the metaphysical/modern vibe of D’Luna salon. This salon has poor customer service hands down!!! If you are black, African, Caribbean, or of African decent please do not spend your money here!The nail tech is rude and and so is her mother.They do not honor appointments that are made in advance, disregard your feelings and time as if you are not supporting their establishment.Instead of resolving issues and being apologetic for poor customer service, complaints are met with insults, and enabling poor behavior from employees.Note to owner: please do not respond to my complaint. You have terrible business ethics and you and your employees need to take a class on customer service and how to treat ALL people who patronize your business with respect.**** Someone posted another review from their bad experience and their response was copied and pasted from the response that was given to me. It goes to show you that they do not care, and lack customer service. My last name is Williams, not the other person who posted their review. We had two different experiences. I’ve had my nails done by both Christie and Vanessa. I am always blown away by the job done every time.They truly care about your nails and what’s best for keeping your nails healthy. This is one of the few salons that don’t use MMA. Aside from the quality work the atmosphere is also amazing a good smelling candle or sage is always burning and with the good music it’s the perfect combination for relaxation.

To being with I don’t know why people are so unhappy. I’ve been to this salon probably 5-6 times every 1 1/2 month (that’s how much it lasts) and I’ve ever experienced a bad attitude towards me or anyone working there. This is also probably not a place to be called a salon it should be has a different name. They never rush, they know there craft and they are very well behaved with all of the clientele. I can always feel a good energy once you walk in. Christie have traveled all over the world to learn all this beautiful techniques that’s why Vanesas and Christie’s work comes out very clean and perfect. I love DLuna Nail Salon. It is the only place I trust to do my nails. Christie always does an amazing job on my nails. Shes a very professional and talented nail artist. All you have to do is show her your desired nail design and she will give you exactly what you are looking for. Her nail designs are stunning and the quality of the manicure is amazing. My nails are always perfectly shaped and she only uses high quality polishes and products. Three weeks after my manicures my nails still look and feel freshly done.I recommend DLuna Nail Salon if you want a high quality, long lasting manicure and if you appreciate nail art.

I’ve been getting my nails done for as long as I can remember and nobody has ever been able to do my nails as perfect as Christie at DLuna.Since my first visit, i’ve gotten exactly what i’ve asked for. Christie takes her time to make sure the shape is PERFECT and that’s my biggest thing when it comes to nails.The products used are high quality and aren’t comparable to the regular nail salon that uses tips instead of sculpted nails.Christie is very friendly and we always talk for the whole time i’m in her chair.Overall, quality is everything and if you want quality nails go here!!

I’ve been a client of D’Luna Salon for almost 4 years and the service is truly exceptional. The owner, Christie, dedicates her time and craft to her clients and the service she provides. Her skill set is unmatched, especially on Long Island, which has kept me a client through the years. There have been times when I traveled from Westchester because I refuse to let any other tech(s) do my nails. Besides the materials and products being beyond top of the line quality, Christie and Vanessa create the most authentic nails and art I have seen! What ever inspiration or idea I may have, they make it come to ‘life’, and it’s always far better than I could’ve imagined. The price point of the services are extremely fair- given the quality of the products and time that is put in to perfect such work. If you’re looking for a top quality, jaw dropping results, and professional artists then D’Luna is the place! They have a client for life!

Honestly, this is hands down one of the best nail salons. Christie was very patient and informative. The whole staff was very nice and welcoming. The place is very clean and the price is worth the quality of work.

I arrived to my scheduled appointment on time and the technician was overtly rude. She didnt greet me when I arrived, she did ask me if I had an appointment to which I confirmed I had a 130pm appointment and to that she responded no your appointment is at 230pm .I can only assume she was confused regarding scheduling as she was still servicing another client .She suggested I return in 30 minutes because according to her she didnt know who made my appointment it couldve been anybody, her mother, or another technician she doesnt know who answers the phone .I complied with her request for me to return in 30 minutes .When I returned the shop was empty and I took this opportunity to ask the technician about her very brash and rude approach when I first entered the shop at 130pm to which she responded, Do you want a refund ???? I was flabbergasted, I responded no I dont want a refund I want the services .she then continued to talk to me abrasively at that point Id had enough and agreed to her offer that she should give me a refund of the 36 dollar deposit because clearly they are making lots of money and I wont be paying her to disrespect me .She then opened the register to return my deposit in cash and attempted to give me less than I paid for my deposit when I corrected her she called someone who advised her to tell me to dispute the deposit via PayPal .I did as she instructed .The old adage comes to mind No good deed goes unpunished, as I filed my claim with PayPal as the rude technician suggested, the ongoing communication Ive had with them highlights the lack of customer service and the upholding of mistreating clients and disrespecting them .The management accused me of having my phone disconnected as if they were interested in mediating with me, they insinuated that I had a problem with the prices of their services as some people cant afford their special services, and that I had the attitude and I had a choice whether to receive services from the technician that treated me like trash but I instead decided to refuse the services and that they normally charge a 50 dollar late cancellation fee to which they arent charging as a courtesy . I was further outraged after the pointless communication via paypal that they are still doing business in Amityville village .I googled reviews from Yelp and have found that many of their former clients complained of being treated poorly by both technicians and management, overcharged for lack luster service, and appalled by the lack of respect of their time as a technician took selfies and talked to other technicians while performing services on clients .The company is plain disgraceful .I wouldnt send my dog to get a service from this place .They lack morality .They lack respect .They lack common sense .They lack couth .They have gained a poorly treated potential client who will be sure to deter anyone who is looking for nail services to stay far away from Dluna the Disgrace who lacks integrity in business practices .

Love this place, My nails always come out wonderful and I get plenty of compliments! I’ll only come here to get my nails done, staff is friendly and I feel like I’m talking to one of my friends. They put a lot of time and effort into your nails, If you see a bad review, they obviously don’t know good work or it was out of their budget... Thank you ladies for your work!!!

Honestly this salon does the best work. Sure you could get a full set for $35 but what are you truly getting? Do you know what chemicals they are putting on your nails? I didn’t know and it ruined my nails for yearsssss. Christie & Vanessa nursed these babies back to health. Back to life! I swear by D’Luna. Christie and Vanessa are so knowledgeable, really. I have never met anyone that knows about nail/nail health than them. Vanessa always comes through with the bomb designs and Christie is without a doubt the most devoted business owner I’ve ever met. Definitely recommend D’ Luna Salon. Make sure to call for an appointment tho!

They Use the best products and they’re always up to date with everything you can’t find any of there products in your average nail salon, the women here are truly nail professionals they take their time with you and give you the best service have product knowledge and really know what they’re doing . you can’t compare they’re work with any other place in Long Island your nails always come out amazing the products are all high end and your nails actually last, they’re worth every penny love this place can’t ever see myself going anywhere basic.

Absolutely not. i wish there was an option to give 0 stars. this was so unethical and overpriced! i was charged legit 3 times. my card was charged without my authorization. i was charged $25 to reserve the appointment.. ok i get that, but then i was charged another 25?? for what?? so while i am there i ask for the second 25 back and she gives me it back in cash ok but when she gives me the cash she tells me that im stealing?? its my money tf? so when i leave she charges my card again for the third time. she was over here saying that i was playing games for trying to get my money back. mind you while i was there i was waiting 40 minutes to be attended.let me do a run down real quick cause i wanna know if am bugging or notso to make an appointment its $25 and with tax its 28.16 ok i get the tax part anyways,so ready28 for the reservation28 randomly for no reason28 for me leaving??so 28+28+28=84ok she gave me 28 back in cashso84-28= 56is my math wrong or something? cause she kept saying my math was wrong and couldnt help me.thats a whole $56 im still owed - where tf that at?!but what got me the most is that she tried to come for my character like how am i trying to steal what is mine?? how is me wanting my money back playing games? im sorry but im youre not about to have me come on time to my appointment and have me wait a whole 40 minutes for you to explain to me what is going on. so i leftshe was saying how this wasnt her shop but shortys last name was deadass the name of the salon so???

Worst salon in amityville👎👎. you would think for such a posh place it would be booked and busy and that there would be good customer service. christie luna was very rude and fails to be compliant with customers. it’s funny how she considers people who are willing to book an appointment with her as her “haters” as if her “haters” want to waste money.but as said from the CEO of d’luna’s salon:what goes around comes around.

I went there to get my nails done for the first time 2 weeks ago. The nail technician was nice and everything, but I could see that she was not experienced. I went there by 10:30 am and got out at almost 4:00 pm😳. She spent the whole day on my nails, and the results were very subpar for the 125 dollars that it cost me. Barely two weeks in and all the nails are gone. The one star rating is actually nice for me because everybody I show my nails to keep telling me I was scammed out of my money.

Very disappointed. False advertising on the social media page (ig), extreme price gouging, and it took a total of 5 hours to complete a full set. The amount of time I spent in that salon is reprehensible. There was no warning for this amount of time either. Unreal.

Yes this place does beautiful nails but they over charge!!! They charge for every little thing !!!! On top of that my appointment was at 10:30 and didnt get out until 3 something ! No reason my nails were more than $200

The nails are well done but the price was OUT OF POCKET. She TEXTED me to come in late but a CALL would of helped I was already on my way cause I live far. The girl who did my pedicure was very nice. Whoever answered the phone when i made an appointment told me a different price on the phone, to be honest I just wanted a plain ombré but she offered me a design (never said it was extra or anything ... I paid $248 ! for something that only going to last me a week or two ? Ridiculous... honestly ridiculous. Usually I let things brush off but prices are ridiculous.

Plenty designs n the best is they speak ENGLISH, n dont talk about u in their language! Designs up to date! A bit pricey tho.

This place is disgusting, charging an absurd amount of money for nails that come out NOTHING LIKE THE INSTAGRAM POSTS. They took 4 hours to do some bad work... and... they don’t tell you how much it is until we’ll after your started and in, just so they know that you can’t arbitrate the amount. $125 for nails is absurd... especially when the time management and quality is so poor... plan on coming here still? Make sure you have NOTHING ELSE TO DO FOR THE ENTIRE DAY. Would rate it 0 if I could... as you can see with other comments, the owner has a temper and is incredibly rude, as are most of the staff.

I went to D Luna Salon to get a refill on my acrylic and I am completely satisfied with the end product. I’m new to the acrylic world but I know my previous set cost me $60 for a full set! When they finished with me the technician told me her credit card machine was broken and I needed to go to the ATM, I asked her how much and she said $105! 🙆🏾‍♀️ I wished i asked before i started because $105 is absolutely ridiculous for a refill with 3 designs! I paid her because I really don’t see NY jail for me! I asked for a receipt and she said they don’t give receipts in NY! 🤔 Sounds to me like the salon owner has no idea what is going down and ol girl here is trying to pocket the coins from me and all four customers here! 💁🏽‍♀️I strongly suggest you advice your new clients of your exorbitant prices prior to service so they can make an informed decision and you don’t have a situation!

I’ll start off with saying this. If you’re looking for quality nails, and technicians that pay close attention to detail, this salon is the one for you. However, the cons greatly weighed out the pros for me on my first and last visit. I had scheduled an appointment for a full set at 5pm. My appointment did start at 5pm on the dot. Everything was going smoothly with the application of the nails and so forth. However, the technician doing my nails spent an unnecessary time on her phone. From taking breaks in between doing my nails, texting and going on twitter/Instagram to show each other posts. At one point she went into the back room for 3 minutes on her phone and I sat there waiting for her to come back. Throughout the whole process her and the technician sitting next to her conversed, stopped their process to show each other text messages and Snapchat videos and twitter posts. At a point the technician took a good 5 minute break in front of me while on her phone. With no regard for me or my time. As far as my nail work goes, I will say I am satisfied with the work. Only thing I will say is that on my thumb and pinky finger on one hand she cut the cuticles so low to the point they were bleeding. She used four, yes four, DRILL tools for my cuticle. I’ve been constantly cleansing and applying neosporin to my cuticles to ensure that I won’t get an infection. Not only this, but up close the polish on some of my nails have air bubbles, which I’m sure is due to the fact that she was rushing because the salon was closing as I was the last customer in there. I say all of this to say that a full set of a pretty basic design took 4 hours to complete. Yes, four hours. I got there at 4:50pm and did not exit the salon until 9:10pm. For a $139 nail job not including tip, plus a $5 service fee if you use a credit/debit card, this salon is most definitely not worth it when all of that is combined. I’d highly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

This place is horrible.. I understand their overpriced for the work they do. With that being said I expect to get what I paid for. I happen to be part of the industry and know that when a client isn’t happy you give them a refund or ask them to fix them with no change since it is not what they wanted . I spend my time their (4 hrs) and still was not happy with how they came out for something I paid 125$ for. I let the girl know that was doing my nails I wasn’t happy with her work before she finished! And told her I was coming back so christe can fix them for me so their how I like( the girl that did them did a V French nail and they where not straight lines or even centered) that’s all I wanted fixed. When I was rung up christe said when I come back I will be changed for getting the French done again even thought I’m leaving not happy with how they are because the girl that did them isn’t as experienced and SO I have to come back and pay more money to get something redone??? Doesn’t make sense does it... I called christe the next day she was extremely rude and said their closed on Sunday so I can’t come back before the holidays it would have to be right now & I was at work. Also that I have to pay for the French to get redone. I was explaining to her why I was upset and that this isn’t right and she said I was talking to much and hung up. Calls me back 20min later and says to come in Sunday at 6:30 (even though according to our first phone call their closed Sundays) .. I said okay bc I want them fixed or my refund... she calls again 3 hours later and tells me can I have your card information to give you the refund I happily gave it to her and she said to stop by at 5 so she can look at them. As we get off the phone I notice my card has been changed for 105$. She text me “I charged you 105 instead of 125”.... that is an unauthorized payment on my card, I was told I was getting a refund & that was it. Then to find out she charged me 105 again. I went their to kindly ask for my money back From an unauthorized charge that she took upon herself to do. The answer was no.. This place is disgusting I couldn’t be more upset with the service I received. I will be getting me refund regardless. I tried to get something nice done for myself before the holidays & it sadly turned into this.

I am surprised to see a low review to be honest. I have only had good experiences at this salon... I felt like sharing my experience so that other prospective clients had more reviews to go on. I have always been a freak when it comes to my nails and also expect top of the line customer service. I have changed nail salons far too many times to count and will speak up right away if there is something I am not approving of. After finding DLuna Nail Salon, I am very proud to say that I will not need to look further, unless of course I move far away... again.With respect to prices, there arent any prices listed on all services but, how hard is it to ask ahead of time, right? Thats what I did! As expected, if and when getting your nails done and you are requesting custom designs; jewels, or special polish that all comes at an extra cost - at any salon! I can say that this salon has only used top of the line products on me and their displays prove it as well. If you are coming from a dingy neighborhood spot, in which you are used to paying $30 max - this is not the place for you. Sorry to break it to you but, you are paying $30 for dental acrylic to go on your nails... Hence why youve probably already gotten fungus on your nails. All of those products at your local spot are why you have payed so minimal. If you want good products and good service, expect to pay more. You wouldnt go into Steve Madden and expect to pay Payless prices now would you? There is a difference in what you are paying for. So keep that in mind...As far as waiting goes... I have had to wait myself, never anything that I felt the need to write a bad review for. I always go to the nail salon and expect to wait a little. It is called time management and also coordinating your schedule accordingly. Anytime, that I have gotten my nails done there, my nail technician takes her time and never makes me feel like she is rushing. After all, we are paying higher prices right? The price goes with the service... At your local shops, where you pay the $30, you are grilled by your tech to rush, pick your color, your design and so on and so forth, why because you get what you pay for. Low prices = bad customer service. Aside from that, a free pedicure would have made me content! Hah, who doesnt like to be pampered while waiting.... for free!So to summarize it all, I have only had great experiences at this salon - courteous staff, excellent work and a good vibe. If what you are seeking is an overall good experience, I would recommend it. Be sure to call and ask for pricing if that is what you are concerned about - but dont forget to mention if you seek rhinestones or any other special designs...

Bad experience, thought If I made an appointment (since its Memorial Day weekend) I would be seen on time. Nope! Got to my appointment 10mins before and waited but the nail technician who I had an appointment with didnt show and wasnt goin to for another 20 mins from what her assistant told me. I was offered a pedicure but that wasnt what I went for. A complimentary call letting me know about the lateness would of been good but nope, I did get one after I left with more details about my appointment. Details I didnt know before. About how time consuming it was and it wasnt convenient for me, but Id rather be late to work with my nails done instead I had to look for another place in a town I wasnt familiar with and still late to work. My over all experience with scheduling and costumer service was horrible.

With appointment I was 40 min waiting. 2 hours receiving regular manicure and pedicure. 3 hours for regular manicure and pedicure, the price was twice than other olaces.Poor quality of materials for the expensive price. I dont recomend this place.

Do not go to this place if I could give you 0, I would do it yesterday, I had an appointment for 10:30, I had an appointment with Vanessa, she is late at about 11:00 when she starts doing my nails, I tell her how much is missing because I have to go out That answers me 30 min to shape it. I ask him if I can go and come back and he tells me that if he charges me $ 175 for incomplete nails. I return at the time when I return they tell me that they can not do anything for me and the owner Christie a rude please do not go and the prices are ridiculous .. Please don’t go
