I’ve used Allstate for many years and they have always done everything they can to keep me insured and give me the best cost possible. They are helpful, responsive and have always treated me like family.

I took out a home and auto insurance policy with Mr. Mathis. Mr. Mathis assistant informed me that as soon as a home inspection had been performed she would notify me of my next step. A month later I get a notice from my mortgage company that they had paid my new Allstate homeowners policy in full. Then I got a letter from my mortgage company instructed me to notify my former insurance company that I had a new insurance policy and to forward any refund. Having not heard from Mr. Mathis office as I was promised, I followed the instructions of my mortgage company. Then today i receive a letter from Allstate saying that my homeowners policy would be canceled at the end of the month.I didnt get any notifications from Mr. Mathis or his office of any of this. He has placed me in a very precarious position of having to find new insurance after canceling great insurance I had with Travelers. I do not recommend Mr. Mathis Insurance Agency.

I called the 1st link on Google that popped up for Reid Mathis: All-State Insurance for Albany, Georgia. A very disgruntled employee answered the phone and informed me it was the Americus office and she was unfamiliar with Albanys customers or something similar to that extent. As it was nearly 4:30 p.m. on a Friday I assume she didnt want to do anymore work. She very hesitantly with attitude I might add did end up getting the wrong information sent to the tag office for me. I was kicked out as they had closed and I was unable to get my tag dealt with.I had to miss more time from work and go back to the tag office after waiting 5 hours the day before. I will not be renewing with this office and will be switching to a different company with competent employees.Very unhappy with the customer service I received as we have had this same company for many many years.Common courtesy goes a long way.In the end I did tell her thanks for nothing.-5 out of 5 but I cant give negatives.
