I have to say the customer service here is superior. They are super friendly & the receptionist will get you anything you may need. My stylist was Janet, she did everything I asked of her with no hesitation. Shes super smart & a very qualified color technician. They also have a great selection of hair products as well. Go see them!

I made an appointment for my daughter yesterday. When I walked in today Fay asked me if I had an appointment I told her yes I have an appointment at 10:00am. She then checked wasn’t friendly at all. Then told me to wait. She then went over to Ophelia and told her something. They then both told me to walk up to Ophelia and said the person I had an appointment with wasn’t there. I can wait or leave because they didn’t know if she would show up. I personally know both Ophelia and Fay and they both acted as though they never seen me before. I was told to go there because of the great experience I would have. But it was the worst experience I have ever had with any salon. We waited for a bit and just walked out. No one told us they were sorry or anything. I am just very disappointed.

Yah I’m a artist named #BrooklynBloodPop with 60 million views, am a multi millionaire and was treated like these little 30k paid hair stylist had something better to do, scheduled an appointment for my little sister and was literally told that “she probably won’t show up” like she’s too good to show up for her OWN job. I went to Fe. She colored and trimmed my hair. I cannot say enough about my experience here. They did not have the shade of blue I like so Fe went and got it!!! She went above and beyond what I expected. Will definitely go back.

No one answers the phone. Doors are locked during business hours. Last haircut was ok but the color turned out quite a bit darker than it was supposed to. My stylist did not send her info as she stated she would. Since the business answering machine suggests you contact your stylist directly, its quite irritating to not be able to get in contact with anyone to get another haircut/color. Finding a dark, locked building during business hours is unprofessional.

Lets start off by saying that my time is precious. I waited 20 mins to be seen and then told I could wait another 10-15 mins to have someone available for a consultation. It is safe to say I will never waste my time here again.

I went to the salon today.. let me tell you, My hair going in to this salon was looking ROUGH. I sat down in the chair ready to apologize to the hairstylist for my poor hair choices. Luckily for me though, I had a sweet baby angel stylist (her name was Rachel) that took the most wonderful care of me. She reassured me and made me feel like an absolute QUEEN. If you want your hair done right, you better take yourself to this salon.

I’ve been going to Dasani since I was 13 when she first started. I’m now 27, and she STILL gives me 5 star treatment. I always get compliments on my hair. I highly recommend her! The salon is clean and professional.

Me and my fiancé went in and spent way to long and the haircuts werent worth the time or money spent. We even messaged our stylist afterwards telling him we were unhappy and he talked down to us. But hey if you have 10 hours and $400 to spend on what any one else could do in 5 hours and for $200 (weve gotten estimates to prove it)

Walked in to see if I could make an appointment.. no acknowledgement that I even walked in the door! Stood there for 3 to 5 minutes and nothing so I walked out. I am looking for a new place to get my hair done . This was not a good impression. On to the next salon.

I asked for a pixie cut it looked nice when i got home I found my hair was chopped. My daughter got hers cut too by another stylist and hers was perfect. Nothing against the salon just the stylist. My daughter had to fix my hair she did a better job than the girl who chopped it and she has no training.

I’ve never seen such drive and work ethic as I have in the owner who happens to be my wife. She has spent countless hours, effort, blood, sweat and tears to give this salon her whole heart and soul. The women and men who work here go above and beyond for the client. I love coming to this salon.

The best place. The hairdressers there are all great. I was with Rebekah for 3 years before I moved away. She knew what I wanted even when I didn’t. I recommend you stopping in to get all your hair needs addressed. Cut, color, styled, or whatever you might need. This salon is the best in Amarillo. Very good customer service. I have known Dorian for awhile now and every time he has done my hair it is amazing. He really knows what I want and he is everything and more when it comes to color and cuts!

Not the same with the new owner. I had been going here for years before, but I won’t be back. The girl who did my balayage completely messed up my hair. It was awful! When I asked for a refund for the 180$ I spent, I was told I could only receive half of it back since I had it corrected elsewhere. Okay?? It’s insulting that the owner couldn’t even be bothered to call herself. I was warned about this being an issue by another former client, but unfortunately it was after I’d already had my hair colored. There are some really great stylists still there, but unfortunately a lot of them left. Just be careful who you go to! For 180$ I expect my hair to look amazing.

Told the stylist very specifically that I wanted a WASH AND GO style. I do not use hair dryers or straighteners regularly. She then proceeded to give me a cut that requires blow drying and straightening to make look decent, ignoring the natural pattern of my wavy hair. Why ask what the customer wants if youre just going to do your own thing? Three stars because the cut is cute but not what I asked for.Updated review 05/2020:Increased rating from 3 to 5 stars. The salon really took my feedback into account and set me up with a stylist they thought would work better for me. Ive been working with her for quite awhile and its gone really well. Glad I gave this salon a chance to make it work.

Amazing stylist, her name is Boise. The best cut Ive ever had and my hair is very, very thin and fine. It was a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Couldnt be happier.

I scheduled an appointment at 5. I came early and waited an hour and the clerk was not even attended. Once the clock hit 4 I told them my name and they said it was never made nor a call came in and said sorry. I was looking forward for this appointment and the only thing that I left with was shi-disappointment at its finest.

I have been using Braxton Paul/Wade Gordon Salons for almost a decade. Noone else has touched my hair since and never will. The atmosphere is great. The stylists are friendly, knowledgeable, and best of all crazy talented. These men and women are the best of the best. If youve never been, youve got to give them a try. If you had a single bad experience, give them one more chance.....I love this place!

My wife, (before she passed from cancer )Wouldnt let anyone but you guys touch her hair, she thought very highly of you guys. After today she wouldnt think that if she was still here, I delivered a big order to this place (lunch, not saying who I work for ) but I brought them there order, and the lady said that I needed to collect at register, she gave me the cash and it was exactly, to the penny .... no tip ... from one person to another who works for tips, you should be ashamed... I know my wife when she went there she tipped very well .... I dont work 2-40 hour jobs because I like too, its cause I need too ....just wanted to express this to you

I’m not normally one to leave reviews but I was disappointed with my visit ☹️ I was very excited to make my first appointment with BP salon because I had heard great things! My stylist wanted to cut 3 or 4 inches off my hair, and I told her I’d rather stick to 2 inches. Instead of listening to what I wanted, she cut about FIVE inches off. Yes, the style is cute, but it isn’t at all what I asked for and I am very disappointed that five inches of growth is just gone. A waste of $36. I doubt I will return and if I do, I hope I have a stylist who listens to her clients!

Amanda has been on the ball at Braxton Paul. She is straight up with her customers in telling them what can or can’t be done with their hair instead of trying to make things work. She is very talented and i can’t wait for my appointment with her!

Went in for haircuts for my boys they came out lookin pretty much the same. Waste of money.

A month ago I got my hair cut here and after a long debate with myself Ive decided that I do not like my cut. Overall I am just disappointed and irritated with the management. When I called in advance, I asked if they had any CURLY HAIRED specialist, she replied with all our stylist can cut curly hair *eyeroll* so I asked if there was any one that was particularly good with CUTS - she then suggested so and so. With trust, I booked the appointment. My stylist did not know a thing about curly hair. Not only did she say she graduated from beauty school merely TWO months prior to my appointment (I only bring this up because how can be a master at cuts after JUST graduating) she said her specialty was COLOR (and it is, her color work is awesome). I am mad at the management of stylists because I specifically asked for someone who specialized in CUTS because I was asking for a great CUT and they set me up with an inexperienced stylist whos specialty was color. By the end of my cut it was very apparent my stylist knew she messed up my hair and was scrambling to make it look better. She even asked what I thought and said I could be honest well knowing it did not look good. Honestly what was I supposed to say? I just wanted to get out of there asap. She did not know how to cut curly hair properly and cut off way too much (possibly forgetting that curly hair coils up when dry?) And did not know how to properly use a diffuser ultimately frizzing up my hair THEN brushed out some parts and cut the curls brushed out....EXCUSE ME?! Why on Earth would you BRUSH OUT CURLS. It was a train wreck. As she was cutting my hair she asked if I wanted to let my hair air dry to stay curly or if I wanted it styled... girl I came in with curly hair Im leaving with curly hair. Maybe this is just a pet peeve because I do take pride in my curls. After my cut I went home and had to style some curls with a curling iron and that is the ONLY way my hair looks good. I do not like the fact that I have to apply heat to my hair and manipulate the curls to make it look decent when I normally just let it air dry and thats it. The cut is absolutely TERRIBLE on its own and when it grows out long enough to get cut again I will be going to a different salon to fix it. Next time, please take your clients requests seriously and match them to a stylist according to their needs. Think of it this way: you wouldnt hire a black and white portrait only tattoo artist for a cartoon color piece would you?So why would you set up a color specialist for a curly cut? Thank you, next.

I went to Braxton Paul Salon with only reviews I read online being new to the Amarillo area, though I was desperate for a change. I went in looking for a Balayage with blonde highlights without any hair dye over a year. I was assigned with Ashely, my words cannot explain the talent she put into my hair. As any professionalism to do with hair, she listened to what I wanted, she took her time, and most important she did what was best for my hair condition. I saw Rebecca for a cut and colour. Shes been my stylist for a number of years and Ive always loved what she does to my hair! Im not familiar with the others in the salon, but I highly recommend Rebecca.

My favorite stylist, Shelby works here, so I frequent Braxton Paul! Plus they have the best products, and help you find the perfect one to maintain your cut!

I love my hair! Thank you Nuvia and Wade!I have been nervous about finding a stylist since recently moving to the area. My hair is really fine and I lost a lot of hair when we moved here, just from stress and probably the change in climate. But it was looking so unhealthy and lackluster that I finally took the plunge and made an appointment for new color and a drastic cut. I really liked the text message reminder about my appointment!Nuvia was the color technician and she was incredibly helpful. I showed her pictures on Pinterest and asked her which one would be most realistic to pull off with the current state of my hair. She made a great recommendation that would grow out well, wouldnt put more stress on my fragile hair and achieve the look I was going for. I really appreciated the time she took to talk to me about things that I could do to help get my hair healthy again, everything from right the water temperature during a shampoo to taking biotin and using the right products. After she completed my color, she took me to the chair for my cut and recommended a protein spray to use during styling. I was her last client of the day but she stuck around during my cut and style to make sure that I liked the way the color turned out.Wade cut and styled my hair. He is the owner of the salon and his station is near the front. I was impressed with how he greeted clients by name as they walked in and thanked them as they left. We decided to cut off quite a bit of my hair for a long bob look. He added some layers all over to give it more texture and body and left it a little longer in the front to give it a nice angled shape. I love the way he styled it and it looked even better the next day!Quick note about the products. I hate hair product. I just dont like the artificial perfumes in most of them. But I loved the Label M products that he used on my hair. He used a sea salt spray and a protein spray and they smelled fantastic. One of them smelled like rose essential oil and the other one had a rosemary/lavender smell but they smelled natural and not overpowering.

I cant say enough wonderful things about Nuvia. I came to her in sheer panic. I had a disastrous experience with another salon, the colorist was a sweet girl, she just didnt have the experience or training. I was going for a platinum and ended up a mustard. Nuvia exuded confidence, put my mind at ease, and assured me this could be fixed. She took the time to explain the process (I have never changed my hair color and going from very dark to platinum is pretty drastic). I also like the fact that the colorists consult with each other (2 minds are better than on), but Nuvias decision has always been best for me.

My hair look good but taken 6 hours to do my hair for the $200 I spent, was disappointing, which I was told is was going to only take 2 hours. I wont be going back

Made appointment to get a haircut got there 15 minutes early. There was only one person getting their hair done and 3 workers just sitting around. I waited 30 minutes and they were all just talking. So I got up and left. Never coming here again!
