I attended for a couple of weeks while I was staying in Amarillo. Here is a brief After Action Review (AAR):Sustains: The gym was a comfortable size as well as the class sizes. All the instructors were professional and experts on BJJ. I appreciated the scope and range of the instructors knowledge, as each brought a different and valuable perspective on the art. All classmates were friendly and it really felt like a community, which I like to see in a gym. There was a large range of skill between classmates, so it is perfect for anyone to join, as you can roll/learn with any color belt. The gym is female friendly, which should be the standard across all BJJ gyms, but Guetho goes further and does its due diligence in making sure it provides an equal opportunity to learn regardless of gender.Improves: the amount of time we spend warming up is not proportional to the amount of time we learn. I understand that BJJ is some peoples only form of exercise, however, I believe the 15 minutes we spend warming up is not value-adding. The mat was not my favorite, little more abrasive, and not as padded (not for judo throwing/takedowns). Getting in and out of the gym can be a little more tedious due to traffic around the parking lot after a kids class (lots of supportive parents).Overall, Guetho Texas Brazillian Jiu Jitsu is a real-deal BJJ gym. It is worth every cent for the knowledge in self defense it has to share and the enhancement to physical ability and health. I recommend anyone interested to take that brave step and try it out. Dont get discouraged your first day, week, or month, it is very rewarding and fun once you realize you are learning so much.

While in Amarillo visiting family, these kind folks where generous enough to let me come spar with them. If you’re in Amarillo and looking for a legit school this is by far the best option. 15/10 would recommend

Amarillo is really blessed to have such a great team of jiujitsu instructors through Guetho. I came from Gracie Barra in Albuquerque, NM and would put the quality and instruction at Guetho just as good as some of the top BJJ schools in the country.

I visited Amarillo for work and wanted to get some training in. Guetho BJJ was recommended to me so a coworker and I decided to check it out. It was a great experience. The people were extremely friendly and the classes were great. I really appreciated the instruction and the level of detail.I will definitely return to this gym whenever I am in town and I recommend this to anyone living in or visiting Amarillo.

This gym and its instructors always help you out, on and off the mat. they are very flexible with your schedule and when you can be there to train. They will make sure you are comfortable with your surroundings!

Amazing place to train and workout. I love the sense of comradery and the family atmosphere. Everyone is there to help one another and build each other up. Highly recommend going to Guetho Texas BJJ to train!

Great space, great instruction, lots of classes, and super friendly & welcoming people. What more could you want from a BJJ school? (personally, my answer is a shower - and they have one!!). Looking forward to my next roll at Guetho!

My kids love Bjj here. Coach Austin is great with the kiddos. The man has the patience of a saint and really builds them up!
