My wife and I went to test drive a used car for our daughter. We test drove a 2007 Mercedes with 95,000 miles and the service light came on Joe said the car has sat for a while and it just needs some miles put on it and it should clear. The car drove great so we decided to buy it. We pick the car up several days later and on the way home I stopped to fill up the gas tank because it was less than a 1/4 of a tank. Filled up drove home and notice a gas smell. I didnt see any leaks anywhere so I let my wife drive for a couple of days and the gas smell never went away. My wife got on line and found the from 2002 to 2009 Mercedes E350 have a issue with gas smells and itsthe gas tank. My wife called Joe and he said that we bought the car as is no warranty and its our responsibility for the problem. We just bought the car two days ago and only put 15 miles on it. Very dissatisfied!!!! To replace the gas tank will cost over 3,600 dollars.
The car selection is almost as trash as Joe’s customer service. All the cars were not worth what they were being sold for.
Most reasonably priced, & lowest mile cars AROUND!
I purchased a very clean, low mile vehicle from Milton Motors. I bought my car 6/17 and have yet to have any issues with it. I will be a return customer. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. They were exceptional to do business with.
Joe was very respectful and knowledgeable about the truck I was looking to purchase.
Ive purchased 3 cars from them over the past three years. Never had any problems. They sell good affordable used cars with excellent service. Thanks Milton motors!
This is the cheapest used car dealership in the alton area with the best quality cars. I’ve gotten two cars from them and never had a single problem with either of them. Clean, low miles, and reliable cars. Will definitely be a returning customer
Purchased my 2008 Buick Lacross with extreme low miles. Very happy!! I noticed these guys always have low mile cars. Would buy from them again.
Joe delivered my new car to my work. Will buy from again. Very pleased. Thank you very much...
I would never buy from this dealership again. You would think since I have purchased several vehicles from here and even sent people to this dealership to purchase vehicles, they wouldnt screw me over. I got the car 5/2019. The check engine light came on the next day. My car jerks while slowing down and when taking off. AutoZone said it was the Catalytic Converter. Joe kept telling my husband and I that couldnt be right (even though we took it to another mechanic and he said the same thing). He kept my car on several occasions only for him to tell me that his brother dont know how to work on foreign cars. After getting caught in his lies, he finally said to us that we shouldnt be complaining because he sold us the car for cheap. Im sorry, but $4300 is not cheap to me. He also told me that hes been seeing the car around. (I guess that was his way of trying to tell me there is nothing wrong with the car.) After all of this, I still have a car that jerks and I have not received my registration or title to my car. I went to the DMV on 7/26/2019 to see if my plates were transferred and they werent. They are still registered to my old car. These guys at Milton Miltors are scam artists and have no morals. I will NEVER EVER buy from them again. I find it funny that Joe made it his point to try and convince people that his cars are cheap and reliable when they aint. The comment on this review further shows me that they sell raggedy cheap cars. He didnt deny about the check engine light nor the jerking my car is still doing. I wish I could give 0 stars because the 1 star is too much. Its been 3 months. Where is my title to this raggedy car?
They have really nice cars... reasonable
WE PURCHASED A CAR FOR ARE SON FROM MILTON MOTORS ITS BEEN 2 YEARS NOW AND CAR STILL RUNS GREAT !!! THANKS GUYS
Always good cars. Clean. Low mileage. And great customer service.
I purchased a vehicle from Milton Motors on 3/10. Joe informed me upfront that the vehicle needed a throttle positioning sensor that would cost $73 for the part and $50 to have it put in. While test driving with Joe I noticed a whine in the tires. He informed me that the brakes can have a buildup over time causing it to make this sound due to it sitting and not being driven. I noticed the tires were bad and commented it could be the tires. He said maybe. The service engine soon light had been cleared so I couldnt have it checked for any other issues. He assured me there were no other codes that would come up other than needing the sensor. He directed me to a private mechanic about the sensor. I contacted him immediately after purchasing the vehicle and he informed me that he had informed Joe that he could try to replace just the sensor but both times he had previously tried to do that...the entire throttle body unit needed to be replaced. The throttle body unit was $679 from Autozone. I contacted Joe immediately who informed me Autozone was just trying to upcharge me for the part. Autozone informed me to drive the car until the service engine soon light comes on and come back to have the issue diagnosed. When the service engine soon light did come on two days later I took the vehicle to autozone. There were multiple codes pulling. One for a sensor in the four wheel drive, a sensor malfunction for the tire pressure, an incorrect key for the security system, and a low voltage battery. I contacted Joe yet again who informed me the code for the low voltage battery was only pulling because the car sat and the batter will be fine. He has an extra key for the vehicle and I may come pick it up. He was unaware about the tire pressure sensor, and 4wd sensor. The next day my battery was dead and my car wouldnt start. I replaced the battery that day. 1 day following I noticed my brake lights were stuck on. I actually saw Joe at Hit N Run that day who informed me it was probably sticking because the pedal was slightly engaged. He said to shake it a little bit to release. That did not help. I went and bought a new brake light switch and replaced it myself via Youtube videos. Fast forward 2 weeks later. I replaced the tires 2 days after purchasing vehicle and the whine is getting worse. It has now turned into a clunk. I take the vehicle to a mechanic shop and they now inform me that I have a back wheel bearing seized and need to replace the rear wheel bearings and cv axle. The front wheel bearings are bad and need to be replaced as well. The estimate is $750. I contact Joe today who informs me a mechanic shop is going to jack up the price and tell me lies saying things need to be replaced when they dont. He says i may need bearings in the back where the clunking is coming from but I do not need a new cv axle. I inform him it is seized abd they cant get the wheel bearing off. He once again tells me to call his mechanic. That i can order wheel bearings for $30 off Ebay and purchase a CV Axle from Oreilly for $62. He does not know how long it will take for the wheelbearings to come in. He states his mechanic will charge $50 for each wheel bearing and $50 to replace the CV Axle. He however is unable to reach him. I have contacted him and have not heard back. Meanwhile, my car is not driveable. I ask him if I use his mechanic as he requested, whether he would help me with cost. He said he could not because he sold the car as is. Even though I asked him about this exact problem during the test drive and he informed me everything was fine and nothing needed repair other than the sensor. I paid $50 under his asking price of $2950. I have now purchased a new battery for $120, new used tires for $140, a brake light switch for $20, and am about to pay $750 for new wheel bearings and CV Axle. I have had this vehicle for 18 days and have had to put $1000 into it already. Please be advised, the car blue books somewhere between $3,500 abd $4,200 and Ive already paid more than its worth. I still have to pay another $400 to fix the sensors.
Very satisfied. Got a good deal.
