Called based on a recommendation from my neighbor. My major issue had to do with the radiator leaking. I was called each step of the way as they looked over my older truck and found some repairs that were needed. Very pleased with their professionalism and service. Another reason I am so pleased, I had a turn signal that was not working that I failed to mention, to my surprise when I was driving away, the turn signal had been fixed. I then knew, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that my truck had been thoroughly checked out from one end to the other.

Risters automotive has done great work for all the work Ive had done on my car . From the transmission to tune ups & oil changes . They were very professional & polite . If you need work done they have my stamp of approval . Thank you guys !!!

I would have remained a loyal customer and always go here for my repairs, until having so many issues with them not staying true to their word. I went there to have the starter on my truck replaced.I had an issue come up with the thermostat gauge not working. I know the two are not related but when Dwayne and Candy followed up with me I explain the problem and that it had been working fine for the many years I had been driving the truck until then, so I just figured something got bumped, especially since I know the mechanic. Dwayne and Candy told me to bring the truck back in and that they would take care of it. When I brought the truck in that lady at the front desk was very defensive and spoke down to me even after explaining the conversation where I was told it would be taken care of. It is a very minor thing for them to do and a very major thing for me to have working on an older truck with winter coming. Dwayne and candy have followed up with me again and I responded honestly about what happened, which left me with no return response from them.

My truck is running better than ever. I had quite a bit of work done and they worked with me every step of the way, Plus they are locally owned so the money stays in the community. Thanks for getting me back on the road

I needed some major brake work on my 03 Yukon. Safe to say the Risters Automotive got it running brand new.

I had to bring my car there to find out what the dreaded service engine soon light meant. They were very thorough in their work. After a week of driving the car the light came back on. They believed it was something to do with the senor not being reset all the way. I dropped it off for another day. They worked on it all day. Not only did they spend hours looking at it, they took my car to get an emission test as I had one coming up and was worried about the light, but they also adjusted the rear breaks I had previously had installed earlier in the year to stop the noise from happening. I did not get charged for any of the additional work. The place is family owned and although I dont know much about cars I do feel as though I received trustworthy customer service. I will be taking my car there in the future.

Took my car here a while back to get the transmission checked. They gave me a detailed list of everything I needed changed aside from the transmission, which needed to be replaced :( the guy even stayed after 30 minutes to talk to me about options to take care of my car. It was too expensive for me to do at the time but at least I figured out exactly what was wrong with my car.

Where else can you go and drop your car off get a ride home and its just around the corner from your house. I love this place and the people who work there. Candy and her employees have a good sense of humor.

I live nearby and I use them to drop my car off and walk home. They are very good but I think they can be on the expensive side. So if you can afford it I think you cant go wrong using them.

A little less than a year ago, I was referred to Risters Automotive after getting some body work done on my car. From the minute I arrived at Risters, the staff was very courteous and quick to help. I told them my concerns. Jason is, by far, one of the best mechanics I have been to. He offers many solutions and is realistic on what my car needs. There is no hassle or pressure to replace things that dont need to be replaced like a lot of other places do. My questions have always been honestly answered and I have been able to better understand my vehicle. The passion for concern for safety and customer satisfaction is fantastic. They keep their word if something goes wrong and they are always respectful of my vehicle. I am thankful for Jason understanding the love I have for my car and for being super clean when working on it. The whole staff is just wonderful. I wouldnt go anywhere else. Any time I have needed them, they have been there. I couldnt be more impressed with the service that is offered here. Thank you all for helping me keep my car healthy, running and long living. We were in the process of transitioning from Virginia to Grafton Illinois and our transmission went out. My husband had called around and found this place on Google. We had them do the work because we were in a pinch and had to get it back in less than a week . We had to finish moving that next weekend or it would have cost us. We were also told by someone who said they were a family member of theirs we met at a local eatery in our new town that night and overheard our convo discussing it. we dropped it off that Friday morning and was told $1800.00 to $2,000 . They called us 4 days later .We went and picked it up on a Tuesday .......And this is where it went WRONG. The lady behind the desk is very rude. Dont dare call her the service writer. She gets offended very easily and informs you she is the owner. ( no need to get offended you wrote our service didnt you??? ) ..We headed out to get our last load. Upon half way. We noticed the vehicle slowing down on hills. We pulled over and called. We were told to check the fluid. We did and it was full. They said it must be our transmission cooler is plugged. Or not good enough. This is where my husband stated calmly. You put the cooler on when you did the transmission. The nature of the conversation changed from helpful to accusing us of doing something wrong. We had no trailer. Nothing loaded. We were on our way to get the last of our stuff!!!!! At that point we were told we had to bring it back to Risters or there would be no warranty. We were 125 miles from our house we cant drive it back! We explained then were hung up on!!!! Un believable! We got back in the truck and nothing. Wouldnt move. So we called a tow truck had it towed to our old local shop there.The next day. That afternoon we rented a moving truck loaded the rest and got the call from our old shop. And what we heard was horrifying. Was also followed up with pictures texted to us. Risters had replaced hardly ANYTHING!!! They put a cooler on with hose clamps !!! Not only that. The only new parts in the transmission were the 3rd gear clutches ?? If Im saying that correctly and the valve gaskets???? The mechanic at Aamco said the pump was not rebuilt and it broke. Thats it !! Almost $2200 and that is all we got !!! We paid to have a rebuilt transmission installed which was THE SAME PRICE with a nation wide warranty !!! So we called and were told since we didnt bring it back. Warranty would not be honored. And hung up on again. We will be following up with the proper channels!P.S. I found it odd that reviews would be so high for reading so much of the same issue on other places and wouldnt you know. I guess Family and Friends can leave reviews on a business too.

Absolute terrible customer service!!! Called to get a quote and the extremely rude lady on the phone said well if your calling around getting prices your looking for cheap and i dont do cheap and refused to give me a price said she would be wasting her time. How dare she speak like this to a customer inquiring about a price. Will never take my business here and will spread the word about the customer service they have at this establishment.

I went here and was taken.the work they did failed before warranty and they screwed me off until it was out of warranty. I was later told by locals they are notorious for it. AVOID this place.
