I needed a quick repair right at closing because I noticed a nail in my tire and we were leaving town the next day. They got me in and out quickly and did a great job. Price was more than fair. We will go back!

Had a major leak in a rear tire on my recently purchased 2020 Ranger. We were out of town on a Saturday afternoon and thought our weekend was shot. They had us fixed and back on the road in about a 1/2 hour! Very friendly, fast service at a fair price.

I went it for body repairs on my vehicle. It took longer than they told me. They told me 4 days and it took a day shy of 2 weeks! I had to keep calling because they didn’t give me any updates! There was no detail done to my car, it was Filthy on the inside and outside!! When I picked up my car it wouldn’t start!! I was very discouraged about the whole situation and that they don’t take pride in the quality of work that they do!!

Worst experience I’ve ever had. I got in an accident late October early November. They said 2 weeks tops. Over a month later I finally got my car back. My gas tank release was not installed correctly, my hatch was not fixed, parts are missing and I had damaged parts on the bottom of my car that are literally falling off. I was going down the road and my protector pan below my passenger side was so damaged it came off I had sparks flying and it flew off, thankfully I didn’t have a vehicle behind me. The manager of this place promised to have someone come get my car to do the repairs with no charge. Going on over a month later and still no one has showed up and no one has the decency to call. Save your money and save your insurance and go elsewhere. This place is a joke!

We went in and came back completely satisfied, not just because of the technicians in the back end who helped diagnose and resolve our problems, but also because of the front office manager Travis who was phenomenal in helping us explain and help us with decision making wrt repair investments.

I had some auto body work done at Andys last year. The service was excellent. When I needed new tires this year, I went to Andys. Another excellent experience!

I experienced a flat tire in a grocery store parking lot, and I limped to Andy’s Tire on a spare, hoping they could fix it. They took look at the tire immediately — I was so surprised and pleased — and showed pointed out an enormous tear. I brought the car back the following day for to new tires. Andy’s did n excellent job.

George was very good in helping me. I have a classic 1966 Mustang. It had several leaks and the brakes were squeeking and grabbing. They got me back on the road. Told me the things that needed fixed and those that didnt.

I had gotten a used car that I was told was in great condition. The engine light never turned off like the dealer at Milton Motors said it would. The alignment was off to me and I needed an oil change. I got a engine light check to be on the safe side. George was so sad to give me the horrible news about my wheel bearings and cooling system. $1500 later they have it all fixed and the engine light off. Not to mention he rewired my fuel pump sensor because it was wired wrong. Thank you Andy’s and, especially, George for noticing the huge malfunctions my car was having that I had no idea about! It isn’t his fault some jerk is selling unsafe cars. If it weren’t for him I could have really gotten hurt or hurt others, or worst kill somebody or myself, being on the highway with bad bearings.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! Tony completed two emissions tests in just a few minutes. Very polite. And well worth the convenience fee to not have to go to the DMV for plate renewal. The service charge is more than reasonable to get back an hour or two of my day. The place to go for emissions tests and plate renewal.

Absolutely insane prices. I brought in a very easy part to replace but I simply didn’t have the correct socket for it at home. It takes about 5 minutes to change at home (upstream oxygen sensor) and I was charged $150 for a 1 hour labor fee. Nice and friendly staff but a rip off for an auto shop.Edit: Also I received no reply after contacting them several times afterwards. So the previous comment on this review seems to just be to save face covering their bad service and charges.

I just moved to the area and was not sure of a good place to take my vehicle. I took it to Valvoline to have the oil changed and they charged 50 dollars for conventional oil and told me that I needed my serpentine belt replaced. I was going to let them replace it but they told me that because of the belt I had it would need to be replaced elsewhere. I went to Andys and they told me that I didnt even need it changed or replaced. They could have easily replaced my (perfectly fine) belt and charged me and I would have had no idea. But they were honest and professional and I really appreciated that, because I know nothing about cars. Needless to say Ill be TAKING MY CAR HERE FROM NOW ON. (: Friendly staff, quick service, HONEST WORKERS! Very very pleased.

First time doing business with them and not satisfied at all...I dropped my car off letting them know I need a altnator 30 min they call me telling me I need a altnator but was going to charge 800 to do so... Well thats the first problem because they labor cost 350 and I found a brand new altnator for $100 online so they over charged.... Then he calls back telling me its not the altnator its a instrument cluster so I have to take it to my dealer... So now they cant fix it.... Then when I went to get my car they charge me 250 just to tell me I have to take it to the dealer smh....I mean besides the bs they are informative but God and I dont like ugly and they some ugly mfs

After a very bad no good day the staff here was more then willing to help out even though their day was ending. They kept all their promises and fixed me up to drive away. The next day they replaced the tire quickly and allowed me to not miss a beat. I will be back.

We take both of our vehicles to Andys, primarily for oil changes and tire rotations and with some big items coming up at 100,000 miles on the truck, they seem worthy of sticking with them.

Was told 18 year old daughters car whose brakes went out needed ALL new brake lines, flex hoses, corrosion was so bad fuel line also needed to be replaced or that would be next issue. Quoted nearly $600 for brakes alone. Took to another mechanic. It’s a $150 fix and none of the issues identified by Andy’s were noted by this mechanic. Go here only if you’re looking to get ripped off and have Unnecessary repairs. Manager stuck to his guns when confronted. Unscrupulous business and should be shut down.

I had my Audi worked on here after I hit a deer when I first got the car a couple years ago. It was the best work Ive ever seen. This company has the best integrity! I drive an older model Honda Civic which is very low to the ground. About a year ago, the undercarriage cover spontaneously started to drag in the front and was basically acting like a rock shovel. The Honda dealership charged me hundreds of dollars to order a new cover and install. A couple of days ago, I had actually hit a semi-tire tread at night and the cover fell off, again! This time I took it into Andys. They could have gouged me just like the dealership without me knowing better, but they did not. Instead, the mechanic let me know I was missing a couple of clips and would do it at no charge!. Thank You Andys mechanic for your honesty and integrity. I am a faithful customer now!

I have been taking my vehicles there since they opened. I have had zero issues with the staff over there. I would highly recommend Andys to anyone with complete confidence there experience would be nothing short of top notch. Very professional & knowledgeable. What a joke!This place should be shut down.I took my truck in to get 4 new tires installed and an alignment.Took almost 5 hours and didnt get the alignment!Told me I need all new front-end karts,ball joints etc.So I took it to a local well known mechanic and was told front-end is perfectly fine. He did the alignment and all is good.Well except for the slow leaks in all 4 new tires.Thanks Andys what a jokeHire some people that know what there doing!Avoid this place its not worth the frustration and probability of getting ripped off for poor service!-0-0

I go there for oil changes and its always a good experience. Also, in my experience, its much cheaper than the drive through places like Valvoline and Rapid Lub.

I blew a tire and had my car towed to andys. The tire that was replaced then popped 2 weeks later when I went no more than 10 miles from my home. It was popped from the inside, not from running over anything. When taken back to Andys, they said that it was my fault and they would not replace the tire. I will not be going back there. Also, they charged $140. Walmart charges $80. I will not be returning.

I took my vehicle here in February for an emissions test and I had an awesome experience. The test was blazing fast as it was completed within a few minutes. Customer service was top notch.

I was recommended to come here by a buddy when my oil pressure sensor on my Jeep Wrangler went out. They fixed it and explained everything to me. No surprises, nothing fishy here just good dependable straightforward service.

Staff seemed more interested in the current not business phone call. Not friendly, seemed to care less. They did not have the tire in stock, might get it in a day or two. I needed their help to replace a tire to secure the safety of my Daughter and my Grand Son. I will NOT be back.

My daughter was hit in the rear of her car and took it to Andys for repair, state farm insurance okay the repair Andys repaired a dent in drivers door. ( was done by there mistake) did try and make daughter pay for the repair( over a $1000.00)The car was repaired correctly but they were trying to shame a 23 year old female to pay for there mistake.

Despite having a terrible experience at the Wood River location a while back, we gave Andy’s one last chance (at the Alton location) because we were given a certificate for an oil change from my mother in law. During the oil change they rotated our tires. I drove my car to work the next day and the car wobbled the entire time on the highway. Obviously the tires were not properly balanced. I was annoyed but it happens, so I just called and asked them to rotate the tires back. Over the phone they told me that my tread was probably too low so I should get new tires. If they had noticed that my tread was actually “too low”, then they should have notified me of that instead of rotating my tires and sending me on my way. The fact though was not that my tread was too low, it was that before they rotated the tires, the front set’s tread was slightly lower than the back set of tires. So when they rotated my tires, one side of the car had lower tread and the other side had higher tread. Like I said, I was kind of annoyed but I wasn’t mad until they tried to scam me into buying new tires. They did end up rotating my tires back but I absolutely did not get my tires replaced. Apparently the Alton location is just as bad as the Wood River location (which is apparently closed now).Here’s my review for the experience we had at the Wood River location:We took our car in to have several things taken care of this past January, and I knew that the AC had stopped working early last fall so since we had some money saved up we asked them to also fix the AC. We werent sure what was wrong with the AC when we took it in, but they said they had fixed it. Unfortunately, we realized when it started getting hot enough to turn on the AC, that the AC was still not working properly. When I took it back in they said it would cost me another $800 to fix something else with the AC. I declined to have it fixed because we had already spent over $3000 for repairs the first time and we couldnt afford to spend another $800, so they charged me for a diagnostic fee ($100) even though it was their fault that they missed the problem the first time we brought it in.We were willing to overlook the fact that they significantly underestimated our repair estimates for the first time we took our car in, which forced us to spend more of our savings than we could really afford and ended up stretching us very thin financially because they said those unforeseen repairs needed to be taken care of immediately. BUT we will never return to Andys because they didnt properly diagnose the problem with the AC originally, and then later forced us to pay for an additional diagnostic fee because we couldnt afford to pay for the additional repairs to the AC since we just spent over $3000 already. I dont think we should have had to pay that additional diagnostic fee when it was their fault that they overlooked that problem when we originally brought our car in to have the AC fixed. Im also left wondering if the original repairs on the AC were even necessary and if we wasted hundreds of dollars on those repairs just to have our AC still not work properly. To be fair, they said if we brought the reciept back when we decided to do the additional repairs that they would deduct that diagnostic fee from our bill, but I honestly cant trust that they would actually fix the problem or that they wouldnt make me pay another diagnostic fee if they failed to fix it again.

Took my car in for a loud noise on a Saturday and the mechanic said the ac compressor was broke. The cost of the repair would be $1400.00. Took it to another shop Monday and it was just a broken bolt making the noise. $80.00 to repair. Will not be going back anytime soon. Very disappointed.

This place is the WORST. They had my car a week and charged me just for making it run worse. I would not send my worst enemy there. Very very shady people especially old dude in front.

I totally agree with you! I was just there last weekend to change my engine oil, they did a good job on that. But they said my front break pads were awfully bad, I had less than 2mm left and I needed to have them replaced immediately! And they said it would cost $160 including labor, part and turn the rotors and he said that was a great deal. I refused to do it and yesterday I brought the car to my friend, who is a mechanic and took both front wheels off, both break pads were in good condition, they were at least 15 mm, not like 2mm Andys auto shop said to me, and my rotors were perfectly fine. I bought the break pads from Autozone for $19.99 and my friend only charged me $20 for the easy job, so all together I paid $40, but Andys auto shop was asking to charge me for $160! Do not let them fix your car beside oil change, it is a rip off !

They were unable to align my vehicle properly. After working on it for 2.5 hrs and telling me this the manager then still tried to charge me for the time and effort his employees put into the vehicle.To further add to the issue after I requested my car be released to me an employee took it for a 17 mile test drive to make sure their alignment they couldnt perform was acceptable. This was done without my consent.My car is a performance vehicle and the bulk of the employees are between 19-21 the manager said. It doesnt take 17 miles to check an alignment.Stay far away from this establishment.
