Poorly managed and unorganized. Mask mandate means nothing here.... wieghts are never where they should be, and there is obvious signs of no daily cleaning or re racking wieghts by staff or management. Usually only 1 person on staff. Machines are all worn down, broken (many out of commission), and not properly placed on the concrete floor ( they rock back and fourth.... )

Amazing gym and great staff, I went to a couple of gyms before finding Charter Fitness. I was able to find a great personal trainer David who helped me form a personalized fitness plan and guide me through my workouts. The gym is 24/7 open it is always clean and welcoming. I highly recommend Charter Fitness Alsip.

This place is a joke most of these reviews are fake.. I was interested in personal training a guy Barry who overcharged me for sessions was annoying and weird and the trainer(justin) he set me up with was careless only wanted to train on his time.. I canceled but I still get charged for something I canceled? If this gym wasnt close to me Id cancel my member ship too.

Been going to this gym for a long time and it’s only gotten better. When you walk in all you see is people working hard and the staff working even harder. One staff member in particular is Kathy. I see her every morning and she always has a smile on her face as she makes sure the gym is nice and clean at all times. Keep it up!

Almost done with my 7 day free trial and i must say, this gym and the employees here are fantastic. David at the front desk has helped me accommodate to the scene and has been more than helpful. I look forward to signing up this Friday. AND they have GREAT BODY WASH in the showers which you never see at the Planet Fitness or Commercial run of the mill gyms. Love this place and cant wait to be a part of it.

The Alsip Charter has done an excellent job at keeping the environment clean and safe for working out. Kathy, the front desk manager, always has towels ready and bottles filled for clients to keep the machines clean. She personally is among the weight machines wiping things down and is diligent at ensuring that masks are worn providing confidence for a safe workout.

In February 2021, I signed a 3 month commitment for training sessions. I was told $150 a month. In end of March, my trainer was taken from me because someone quit and she needed to cover the front end. I was told that the training manager or my replacement would contact me to resume training. I never got a call. Ive spoken with someone at least every other week since (by texting or calling, with texts to prove) with no luck getting a hold of anyone. My old trainer *who is amazing, (thanks Fran!)* always relayed the message to Michael (Alsip branch manager) or Dylan (my supposed new trainer). I never once got a call, but they kept taking my money. They even took an additional $150 (4th payment, but were only supposed to take 3) after my contract was over, and they wont refund. I finally talked to Jordan (Assistant manager) today (6/11/2021), who admitted she knew of this situation, but thought it was rectified. She relayed the message to Barry (training manager) who then reached out to me telling me he called multiple times and to schedule my remaining 11 trainings because I threatened to go above them. I told him Id show phone records to prove Ive never gotten a call and the months of texts asking for someone to call me. Still no word on my refund for the extra $150 they took from me. I would like the extra $150 and my remaining 11 sessions to be refunded. If this situation is rectified, I will update my review.Edit: I told Barry to have Michael call me between 9 and 10 AM today since yesterday was my sons birthday. It is now 1030 AM and still no call. I guess guest satisfaction is not a priority.

Being a Chicago firefighter. And training here at Charter Fitness in Alsip. Must say Kathy just one of the greatest person to ever meet here very professional and very knowledgeable. Thank you Charter for hiring such great trainers like Kathy.

Kathy and Jordan do an awesome job of keeping the place clean and organized. Especially during the current time, machines are sanitized routinely. Great place to workout.

Honestly the best and cleanest gym I’ve come across this far. Though it may not seem much at first glance, the staff really make it amazing. I’m always been met with the friendliest staff that want to ensure you have the best workout whenever you walk in. One of the managers Eddie really goes out of his way by accommodating any requests patrons may have. Would highly recommend

This is one of the cleanest gyms I have been too. It is very affordable and they are handling the covid-19 outbreak professionally based off of CDC guidelines.

I’ve been going to this gym since 2016. It’s a solid gym. But the 24/7 access is a miss especially with the open path app it’s too finicky.

There new touchless door system is amazing and Kathy is great.

Fantastic atmosphere at this location- staff is friendly and facility is clean. The new security system is great when working out in the evening/night knowing everyone has a membership.
