Great looking salon, service was not on point despite booking ahead. The tech answered phones and took multiple breaks during my service, extending the time. Mid way through manicure tech asked if I wanted to change the color because the polish wasnt going on very well. My friend and I went at the same time and were disappointed with the pedicures too. they did not do much to clean our nails or get our heels soft.

Love, love, love! Great atmosphere, great selection of services and great people. Also, the option of choosing a shorter service is great for having a pedi over your lunch hour!

Great nail service. Not to clean because they did not use new tools in-between servicing clients. Dont bother with appt. Not on time. But my nails looked great.

It was a little expensive, $70 for this set, but I think worth is. My nail tech, not sure her name, was VERY thorough and took her time to ensure my nails were all the same size/shape. First time there !

I scheduled my appointment for 330pm he said the girl was running behind, I said I’ll wait 30 min later I asked how much longer and he says like another 30-40 min. That’s unexceptional, running behind is not an hour.. maybe 30 min . He should of said that and he said he didn’t know until 2 seconds before he walked by. It was so crazy. Never again

I got a mani and a pedi. The tech didnt even fully paint my nails. Unfortunately i didn’t realize until i got home . And i had to sit on their couch for 20+ min after the paint job because they didn’t have nail dryers. They get 3 stars for how nice and clean the place is and their hospitality.

Nailplay is a super clean, very trendy studio that has extremely talented artists. Jelly is my particular favorite- she’s patient, funny, kind and I genuinely enjoy seeing her every two weeks. She’s the best nail artist I’ve ever had and I couldn’t be more appreciative! Anyone local should make it a point to stop by. Free wine and other fun cocktails also! Highly recommend.

So I was hesitant on going here because I saw a bad review or two. But this place is so new I should NOT have let that hold me back.My experience was absolutely amazing. The energy of the staff was upbeat and welcoming. Don was fun and gave me my manicure exactly as I asked. They were quick and so efficient. My feet were so rough and sad, but now they are spring break ready! Thanks to Miss Johnson. It was really the princess treatment. I will definitely be coming back. 💜Let me just add, that the ambiance of this place is so NYC. It’s clean, smells good, and is modern.

I came in last minute with my six month old son and got my toes done. They look really perfect and the salon is beautiful and spotless. Staff is friendly. They dont do acrylic but like powder dip.I think thats different. They def. have an upscale vibe going with prices you would pay at a mall, but I expected that by the looks of the place. Anyway thanks nail play for the GREAT service!

Major communication issues with the nail technician and complete indifference from the manager. I spoke ad nauseam on the phone the previous day asking questions about the service to see if Id be comfortable to come in. The tech I spoke with was assuring so I decided to come in today. Ive been wearing gel polish since February and had recently soaked my own gels off and had to cut down my nails because they were broken. I wanted to come in for a nice filing and buffing to get my nails clean and healthy for the fall along with a toe polish change to match the hands.Sounds simple enough, right? Absolutely wrong. My nail technician, Tina, had communication barriers and did not speak English. Had I known this at the time of booking I would have requested a different nail technician because communication is crucial when receiving any services because I like to have consultation, especially when its your first time at a new establishment. I attempted to explain the state and health of my nails and what I desired as the outcome of the service however because of the communication barriers my requests as a customer were not heard. What followed was questionable -- she used the cuticle clipper and heavily clipped skin on the side of my nails, filed my nails without asking desires shape, and used a very strong gritty nail filer to buff my nails -- leaving them weak and further damaged and feeling sore from nerve pain from the filing. She used no cuticle oil to massage my nails and when I asked she raised her voice and yelled at me. She painted my nails but the outcome was gloopy and looking rough.A different nail technician did my toe polish change which was done well and she was polite.I requested to speak with the manager who was completely indifferent and when I explained to him what my experience was his body language stiffened and he didnt make any eye contact with me. I also expressed that when youre having a service done, especially something pertaining to your body like your hair or nails, that its important to speak the same language for communication purposes and how this manager should have perhaps offered to translate in an effort to reduce barriers. Then, instead of making me feel heard as a customer, this man called me a racist. At that point I stated that the dialogue was no longer healthy and should be ended. He walked away. As a person of color I am shocked to be called a racist and quite frankly for him to use the race card as an excuse for poor services is a disgrace to people who suffer from actual racism in this world. I am completely shocked and not sure if I would feel comfortable going back to this establishment after the damaging accusation they made instead of having a healthy dialogue about the communication barriers and how my needs as a client were not met. At the end of the day, I spoke to an experience and brought up the challenges while this owner called me a nasty name. I didnt say anything nasty or hurl insults towards him or his staff but he did towards a client.

This place is so amazing! They offer vegan options which is a huge deal for us choosing a cruelty free lifestyle without having to give up our beauty choices! They offer bio seaweed gel which comes out beautifully after their relaxing pedicure. They use all natural products and I love that they use Taylor Made nail polish too! Tuyen is awesome and he is going to be successful in this business moving forward because these natural services are up and coming like crazy. I cant wait to go back for a manicure!

I work down the street and had a long break so I decided to go here to get my fake nails removed and switch to gel. My appointment was with jasmin and she was so sweet! Very easy to talk to and kind. She is new at the salon but definitely knows what she’s doing. My nails look beautiful, but really I’ll be returning for the customer service and atmosphere.

I am a new client and will not go anywhere else! They do a consistently great job and very friendly. The decor is clean, gorgeous and modern. Bonus it smells good, not the average nail salon where the fumes are overpowering.

If you want a nail salon that is clean, hip, and does manis that last, run dont walk to Nail Play. I really appreciate that its a natural nail salon, so I dont feel like Im breathing acrylic chemicals when I am there. My gel manicure lasts 4 weeks without chipping, which I also appreciate. If I ever get my nails done at random salons on the road, they are never the perfection they are when I get them done at Nail Play, and dont last. I also love that they are quick to offer a cappuccino or wine on Wednesdays ;-).

OMG! I made an appointment to get a gel manicure after all the rave reviews, but like now that I see some of the 5 star reviews dont have any positive comments to it, I think they were paid. So it was Tuesday, and I came in waited about 15 minutes with a mild neglect, like the owner dont care or something. Then they rushed to do my gel manicure and was told it was some sort of organic materials, but whatever, it chipped off badly and I am absolutely like not coming back here. Girls, find yourself a good shop, or do it yourself. Like after $45 my nails are looking like this. Beware, they had my credit card numbers and stuff so like Im afraid I will get charged some randomness if I put in my real name. So please girls, watch out.

Really liked the salon -- clean and trendy -- but my classic manicure started significantly peeling after just two full days. Ill definitely give them another try, since this was my first time, but it was a bummer especially since I dont splurge on manicures that often.

LOVE this place. Very modern city feel in the heart of Allentown. The nail techs are all very friendly and they do a great job at perfecting your nails. All nail polish products are organic and that fact alone makes me always come back! This is a must go and try spot!

NailPlay Studio is a modern approach to a nail studio and it works great. It is a laid back atmosphere in a nice spot in Allentown. It is well managed and the employees are professional, polite, and do beautiful work!

This is the hands down the nicest nail salon I’ve been to in the area. The service is amazing, everyone is super friendly and my nails look great afterwards. I just love the ambiance here. You have to visit!

Very disappointed with my pedicure here. I was made to wait for almost a full hour (55 minutes) with no-one even acknowledging that I was sitting there waiting all that time. The irony was that there was hardly anyone there -other than 2 women getting manicures before my party came in. They had my feet soaking and left me there so long that the water was turning cold. The owner kept his back to me while he talked and laughed for a very long time with another client while I was basically ignored. Very rude and unprofessional behavior from management. He seemed to care more about impressing this client than attending to someone new (me). I would have left if I didnt have to wait for the 2 others that I came with who were getting manicures. Not a good way to treat new customers. Wont be back.

Clean, modern, welcoming. And no matter what nail technician I have, my nails always come out looking amazing. Hits all the boxes for a great nail salon. I would definitely recommend.

What a great experience we had at Nail Play Studio. I got the best pedi in a long long time. The owner and staff were super nice and professional. Kim Cow was awesome what a great nail technician she took the time to do a great job. I would recommend Nail Play to everyone.

Excellent!!! Gave this place a try on a recommendation and my nails went from looking horrible to Fantastic in just a few short weeks. Always a great experience. And the staff is nice, friendly, always smiling, and just great people.

Did not do a good job, nail polish chip easily. No thrill customer service. Owner rude as you can see from the response.It was definitely your shop, why would I register my real name and address just to get nails done, of course you dont have records, that would be scary to keep records of customers just for nails. This is not a credit card application.

When to the counter to pay and gentleman had the audacity to say the nails were nice and he wasn’t charging me for the gel color and asked if I wanted to leave a tip on the card and after telling him I did not like nails the gentleman was nice enough to give me a 20% discount. Was not going to leave a review, but after two nails coming off within a week, I think it is warranted. Even if they offered a free gel set by someone else, i will not return it recommend to anyone also went in for a ped.Tech was rude provided terrible service confirmed appointment at the time of the appointment Cheap only used a dot of glue on my nails and two broke off in less than a week Took 2 and a half hours to complete a gel nail extension After repeatedly asking tech to fix shape and thickness I started to receive attitude from the tech stating “it’s harder to do gel nails” First time getting a gel full set kept being asked what gel color without being told it would be more.

I had a gel manicure last night took over two hours . The Technician was very nice but pulled in so many directions . My nails are thick and already peeling off . My hands are all red and filed .

Terrible, the gel is so thick on my nails that you can see them risen. Parts of the gel are stuck to my skin even after asking for it to be cleaned up. I will never go back.

Ive been there twice, first time was great, 2nd time not so much I made an appt and still waited 40min to be seen. Then I wasnt aware that they charge 10.00 to take off your polish since the first time I went I didnt have polish on. I was there for a gel mani and pedi so that was an extra 20.00...85 dollars later I finally get home 🙄 and 3 days later my polish starts to crack within my nails I call an explain they tell me they will fix it, great!! So I go get them fixed and the very next day the polish is now lifting off my nail to the point were I can just peel it off smh I was so upset I didnt even bother calling and complaining again. I will never go there again they are over priced for no reason I can go somewhere else and spend 60.00 and get good quality service.
