Did great work! Showed up on time, diagnosed the issue accurately, and completed the repair promptly. Courteous the whole way through!
The Service Person was very Courteous and Helpful. He answered all my questions and went beyond normal to satisfy my concerns with the amount of ventilation in one of the bedrooms. He checked the air flow and return air flow and showed me the results and was very professional. I would highly recommend him.Guy Skiffington
Great response. Quickly diagnosed and then fixed our HVAC. Tech was excellent and explained everything very well.
John the technician was very knowledgeable and professional. He wore booties through out his visit.
Teck was very knowledgeable repaired the old system to get us AC in the house until the system can be replaced. worth every penny this time of the year (July)
Last year our AC fan was running but no cold air was coming out. I called Hannabery because they originally installed the system when the home was built 4 years ago. They concluded there was no refrigerant due to a leak in the evaporator coil in the basement. We approved a replacement coil at over $1,000. The system did work for the remainder of the summer.Again this year at startup, there was no cooling. The young man who came out to provide service spent more than two hours looking for a leak and talking to the office on the phone. I am not sure how experienced he was, which is understandable because of the pandemic. But after all this time, the office apparently told him to tell me I now needed an outdoor condenser coil at an estimate of $1,900. This on a new system they installed within the past 5 years! We did not approve the estimate. Instead, after paying Hannabery another $300+ for their time, we brought in another contractor. He searched extensively, focusing on the condenser unit, and found no leaks. Instead, he charged it up and it has been working fine for 2 months. It’s all a mystery but I have lost faith in Hannabery.UPDATE: Several weeks later, we were sitting outside when we noticed that gas was leaking out the service access valve every time the system started up. No wonder two companies couldn’t find the leak; they had their gauges hooked up to the very site of the leak, and of course it couldn’t leak while they were checking it. We had the valve replaced and now it is fine.
Hannabery was very responsive and accommodating, especially given how busy they were. Their technicians were professional and cared about doing a good job.
Hannabery does the job right the first time. On time, professional. The only place I trust for my HVAC needs
The work crew at our home was courteous, respectful of us & our property, pleasant to talk with, informative & appeared very efficient.
Very professional, skilled and concerned techs and office staff.
John was super professional and really informative. Anything I needed to know he explained in a way that I understood without feeling like I’m incapable of handling technical information. He did all the paperwork and made a future appointment right then and there! These are good people!December 16Today Jake came to check to heating system of my HVAC package (get it! It’s well worth it!).Again he explained everything to me in laymen’s terms. Friendly, courteous, and completely at ease! Again I will say these are GOOD PEOPLE!
Service and tech were excellent!
Very professional, would recommend their services to friends and family.
Our Air Conditioner stopped working late last night - I called this morning and they were able to come out soon after and had it working again in an hour! This was great as its very hot and muggy today and going to be hot all week. Mike was super professional and courteous. We have a Silver Maintenance plan which I highly recommend as they service the heat and AC each year before the heating and cooling season.
We are very pleased with our service with Hannabery HVAC. From our initial call to schedule the appointment we received friendly and helpful customer service, we also received a call the day of our service to ask if our technician could come earlier than expected which was a pleasant surprise! Our technician, Randy, was very professional and courteous of our home. He was full of great information, very professional, and helped answer all our questions! Thank you!
Fast and easy to deal with.
This was the second time I used Hannabery. Again very responsive and arrived on time. Technician Shawn was polite, knowledgeable and professional. Diagnosed problem, explained issue and quickly fixed it. No pushy sales promotions like other companies. Based on outstanding service by Shawn I will continue to use them for all future work.
Very Unhappy--My elderly father had a heating/ac system installed last week. Part of this system was getting a new Thermostat. Both my father and my husband (who was there to make sure my dad knew how to operate everything after it was installed) asked, on two separate occasions & two separate technicians-where the info booklet for the thermostat was. One tech said it was in the basement attached to the furnace-WRONG and the other tech said it was inside of the now empty thermostat box- WRONG. I called on Thursday morning to find out how to get an info booklet for this thermostat so my dad would have something tangible to refer to if he had questions. After talking to 2 people I was told I had to leave a message for Adam. Apparently Adam was with a customer all day, so after not hearing back from him I called back later in the afternoon on Thursday and was now told he was in a meeting but would get back to me. Friday came and went and again ADAM was too busy to bother listening to his voice mails and responding to them. Now it is Monday afternoon and I still have not heard from Adam. I have tried calling their office and get a busy signal. Thank goodness this isnt an emergency. I am actually frightened for my father because if his heat ever goes out and they respond to customer requests for help like they are regarding to this situation he will freeze to death before they get back to him. Apparently Adam is a very busy man who cant be bothered to return voice messages and also the only one who can answer questions such as mine--
They installed a new heat pump and 96% furnace completely new system. Lead man Chris and helper Justin did great work and were very easy to work with. So far were very happy with our new system and will recommend Hannabery to anyone.
Hannabery customer service is great, very helpful and very responsive. Greg has been our technician for the past two years or so and he is absolutely great. Always patient with all my questions and very professional.
Always send great guys who are on time and polite. They always wear covers on their shoes and seem to do a great job. I have never had an issue of any kind.
There is a public list of Lower Macungie Township (LMT), PA registered plumbers - ( different to PA state HIC registration)As of yesterday Hannabery is still NOT on it - so is not allowed do any plumbing in LMT and cannot get a plumbing permit or be named on a plumbing permit in LMT.$60 and some paperwork but they refuse - or do not have the paperwork. There is a $1000 fine for enforcement but it is not enforced apparently.Other townships seem to have similar requirements so maybe they are not registered for plumbing elsewhere either.Hannabery have ads for gas water heaters on their website but when asked about plumbing permits - do not do them - but homeowner cannot get them either for Hannabery as they are unregistered in LMT.LMT ordinance § 13-206It says the homeowner is also liable ( $1000 fine) if they hire people not registered with LMT or do not get the permits ( even for replacement items)Without a permit / inspections - homeowners insurance is not valid. Its a 1 page list so its not hard to check. They are not there.I asked Hannabery for quotes for a power vent gas water heater and power vent ( 2 pipe) gas furnace - needing the pvc vents to be installed from scratch out the sidewalls of the house..Hannabery refused to apply for a plumbing permit for the water heater and said they never apply for plumbing permits.Ok so I applied for the plumbing permit myself and discovered that Hannabery cannot do the plumbing work because they are not actively registered for plumbing work in LMT. I cannot risk a $1000 fine or a failed inspection. They told me that they are not prepared to do the paperwork for the LMT plumbing license and said they dont have the master plumber papers anyway - which seems strange - and then stopped returning my calls because they said I asked too many questions. They then said they withdrew the quotes they had issued for both the furnace and the water heater.I had finally got a revised / corrected water heater quote which finally just stated in a couple of lines what they were actually going to do.I had almost got a revised furnace quote --( vent on sidewall of house or vent on back wall of house - no more detail than that) - once I finally got the rep to actually read their own installation instructions and realize that building code requires 4ft pvc chimney vent distances from an openable window, not 1 ft as he assumed but refused to write down. This would mean the furnace chimney had to go out the side of my house and could not go out the back of it because of too many windows there. It would require an extra 35ft each way of pvc chimney in my basement that he had not counted on - even though he visited my house. Then they shut me out and withdrew the quotes. I am shocked. If I had not questioned anything I would today have an installation with a pvc chimney vent right under an openable window that would fail inspection and would be in a dispute where it would be my fault and the solution would be to brick up two windows of my house. In the meantime my new furnace and water heater would be red tagged and shut down in a freezing house. On top of that I might have been fined $1000 by LMT for hiring an unregistered contractor.Instead of thanking me for respectfully pointing all this out in writing - in advance - to inform the quote - and trying to avoid any problem - they refuse to actually install the systems now that their rep understands the actual scope of the work to be done.I hope they will reconsider and contact me - and register with LMT fro plumbing so I can hire them and not get fined. I always thought they did good work and we used them in the past. I called and left messages for the manager but my calls were not returned. I do not understand.I hope this post serves to help someone else avoid this experience with Hannabery - or that a manager at Hannabery will read this and try to address and correct this terrible situation.
Technician was very professional, explained any suggested repairs in detail for me to make a good financial decision. Answered all questions to our satisfaction and was not pushy when extending opportunity to purchase a service plan.
Jan 2021 with updatesAVOID Hannabery (!) - have ads for gas water heaters but when asked about plumbing permits /safety inspections - never do them - and homeowner cannot get them either as Hannabery is unregistered for plumbing in Lower Macungie township, PA (LMT)They may not be legal in other PA townships / cities for ANY plumbing because the requirements are similar. Check.( This is not the same as PA state HIC registration).----------Update 4/20/2021Try E.F.Laudenslager instead. They are registered in LMT - and satisfy expectations. They have now installed my gas water heater. Properly. See YELP review.Laudenslager are professional, polite, price competitive - and competent. They actually read my email through - the first time - and responded accurately to answer all my few simple technical questions - the first time - with no need to repeatedly ask the same unanswered/ignored questions.Wish I found them earlier.----------LMT ordinance § 13-206The homeowner is also liable ( $1000 fine) if they hire people not registered with LMT or do not get the permits.Without a permit / inspections - homeowners insurance is not valid.I asked Hannabery for quotes for a power vent gas water heater and power vent ( 2 pipe) gas furnace - needing the pvc vent pipes to be installed from scratch out the sidewalls of the house.Hannabery said they never apply for plumbing permits (!)Ok so I tried to apply for the plumbing permit myself and discovered that Hannabery cannot legally do the work because they are not actively registered for plumbing work in LMT. I cannot risk a $1000 fine or a failed inspection. They told me that they will not apply for the ($60 only) LMT plumbing license and said they dont have the master plumber papers anyway (!) - and then stopped returning my calls because they said I asked too many questions. (!)They then said they withdrew the quotes they had issued for both the furnace and the water heater.I had finally got a revised water heater quote which at last just stated in a couple of lines what they were actually going to do - without typos or incorrect model numbers.I had almost got a revised furnace quote ( vent on sidewall of house ? or vent on back wall of house ? - I wanted no more detail than that + model numbers)- once I finally got the rep to realize that building code requires 4ft chimney distances from an openable window, not 1 ft as he assumed but refused to write down. Scary. This means the furnace chimney has to go out the side of my house and could not go out the back of it because of too many windows there. It would require an extra 35ft each way of pvc chimney in my basement that he had not counted on - even though he visited my house. Then they shut me out and withdrew the quotes. On top of that I might have been fined $1000 by LMT for hiring an unregistered contractor.Instead of thanking me for respectfully pointing all this out in writing - in advance - to inform revised price quotes - they refuse to discuss or install the systems now that their rep sees (?) the actual scope of the work to be done - and that PA townships/cities require registrations (!)I called and left 2 messages for the manager but calls were not returned so I stopped.-Feb 2021I had hoped this post would help others avoid this experience with Hannabery - or that a manager would fix this but it now seems they want to ignore it - so beware2 polite voicemails / 2 emails to the rep / 1 pointing out the permit issue (no responses) - before resorting to posting this UNDISPUTED and factual review - is not harassment.I will not contact them again.Am very disappointed in your company.
Had new units put in 8 years ago. While haven’t had to use but a few times outside of regular maintenance they have always been professional. Workers keep things clean, they are respectful and always informative. The office staff is always polite and helpful.
Had a three unit mini split installed upstairs. Despite covid related supply chain disruptions and delays, they did a good job and were very willing to make things right. Install was well done. Ty
Great technicians who were thorough, knowledgeable, and tidy.
I have contracted with Hannabery for 8 years using two quality maintenance inspections per year as well as a few emergency repairs. The service technicians consistently provided quality service in a timely, professional and friendly manner. I highly recommend them.
John H was very thorough and informative. Answered my questions very succinctly and explained what may be next steps clearly. Price paid was reasonable and made sense. Will use again for any future repairs/maintenance.
I would definitely recommend Hannabery to others. They were very professional, courteous and were able to provide me with an HVAC system that included the options I was looking for at a great price and nearly 2 to 3k less than there overpriced competitors. I look forward to keeping them as my go to for HVAC needs.
Purchased both a brand new filtration system and UV air scrubber. Hannabery was very professional, responsive, and affordable. Plus the peace of mind that the UV scrubber is giving me and my family is worth every penny.
Got the Mitsubishi split system and they installed it quickly and efficiently and even moved my art over so they could install it in the best location. Great company and my room is now so cool and comfortable and quiet!
Hannabery did a great job replacing my 5 ton heat pump / AC. Their price was more competitive than the other quotes I received for comparable equipment and they installed it in less than a day. I highly recommend!
Hannabery sent a tech out very quickly when we had an issue and provided outstanding service. Very fair prices too. Mike was our tech - smart guy!
Always fast response time and very efficient
Great service. Well worth th price of a check up!
Wil was very professional, he listened to the problem & fixed the problem. We are very happy.
Technician was prompt, courteous, put on booties and wore a mask. Introduced himself and promptly began his job. When job was completed, he told us what he did and left our home after readjusting the thermostat for our use.
Great bunch of guys that came to install a new furnace and A/C. Horrific rainy day and they were nothing less than pristine in moving back and forth from outside to inside. Polite, clean, respectful and great to talk to and work with. The Hannabery process is short, efficient and well planned. In short, the whole process was painless.
Have been Hannabery customer for 20+ years. Their personnel have always been courteous and helpful. 10 years ago, we needed to replace our HVAC unit. After finding out that my wife had asthma, the staff worked hard to put our equipment delivered and installed on a fast track. Recently, we had a cooling coil leak, Hannabery staff responded quickly to have the problem resolved. Their technician, Jorge, was amazing.
My HVAC outflow tube outside got clogged and water backed up into my basement. Shaun K. came in less than an hour after I called and fixed it immediately. Kudos Hannabery. What a great employee!
We needed our full central air system replaced and our air handler is in the attic of a cape cod, a very small space! The polite and courteous workers who installed our system were promptly on time each morning, were respectful of our home (VERY careful to keep the house clean), and were very communicative at each step of the process over 2 days. I would recommend Hannabery to anyone and we will be using them for future services.
In the 15+ years we have had a contract with Hannabery HVAC, we have always received good service. The techs have been polite and kept the equipment in excellent operating condition. The one or two times we called for an emergency, they have been responsive and taken care of the issue in a timely manner. Would recommend for anyone wanting quality service.
The staff/service techs have been courteous from our first phone call. Everyone is honest and explains all work in detail. Everything has always been taken care of in a timely fashion. No surprises. They answer questions, and make appropriate recommendations when needed. Definitely a company to use for heating/air conditioning.
Got a new heat pump and air handler. Hannabery was easy to deal with, competitive in pricing and clean, prompt and responsive with the installation. All in all a good experience.
We are very pleased with Hannabery HVAC. From start to finish everything went smoothly. The air conditioning works well. The two installers were very courteous and knowledgeable. They respected us and our home. Thank you all.
Great job explaining and maintaining distance with fact covering and gloves as well! Thank you Hannabery HVAC and Scott our technician!
George showed that he is knowlegdeable in taking care of both our a/c and heating units. He was competent, and, friendly and made sure he was maintaining 6 feet distance while in our home.
Very professional, courteous & worked hard! Im satisfied with the job.
Zack and his team at Hannabery are great! Reliable, timely and clean maintenance and service. Thanks, Zack!
The workers were very professional. We hardly heard from them the whole time they were here, they just did their work. Also, they did a great job of cleaning up each day when they left. They were early or on time all 3 days. We were very happy and will definitely refer them to others.
Professional and friendly field technicians.
Very satisfied with service and their administration.
Hannabery Techs are always on Time. They do their work in a reasonable length of time. They are friendly, polite, thorough, and efficient. We would never work with any other surface contractor.
Did a great job! Replaced both a/c unit & furnace & had to repair & move & add so much. So relieved to be safe & have the house more efficient, so glad we went with them!
Met all of my expectations in putting in a new hot water heater. would definitely recommend.
Best AC company in the business. So you should try to become a gold member and save money.
This is a good local company with reliable employees who are knowledgeable and courteous!
Its been 17 years that Hannabery has been taking care of my heating and ac. I will always use them. From the Girls in the office and the Technitions that come out, they have always been very professional and they know what my HVAC needs. This Company has always been there for me.They are the best of the best, here in the Poconos.
The Gentleman that was sent here was very knowledgeable about my Furnace issue. He did a awesome job explaining to me about my current situation. Thanks a lot!!!!
Hannaberry has been my HVAC service for many years. I have been enrolled in their scheduled maintenance program for as long as I have had the Hannaberry installed unit. Maybe 10 years or more. They have kept my unit in top shape and costs low. Reliable, cost effective, loyal. That’s why I choose Hannabery. Great service.
Awesome service man very knowledgeable and very helpful. thank you again hanniberry for being such a great company.
Scott D was very helpful in communicating the issue to me in terms I could understand. Scott also reviewed the part/filter needing replacement. Very professional.
AC was out. Came next day. Repaired issue as part of bi annual service so no additional charge. Gave good advice on future purchases. Very please
The two technicians who were out to service my unit were Tom and Randy. They were both thorough, knowledgeable and answered all of the questions that i had. They were prompt on their arrival time and took every precaution to not drag dirt into the house! I would highly recommend them for any HVAC services needed!
I would not recommend. They did poor work and their COO Dave who called me back about the issues was rude and condescending. He called me back and immediately started attacking me verbally.. I explained to him I didnt think he was the COO because no one who runs a business would verbally attack a paying customer. The whole thing was probably the most unprofessional experience Ive ever had with a service company. To make matters worse, when he defended the poor workmanship, he blamed it on a new guy. When I mentioned if someone wasnt trained properly you probably shouldnt send them to someones house to work on their HVAC. His response was well you know, good workers are hard to find these days.I wish this company good with that mentality.
I had an entirely new Heat Pump system installed and have had subsequent routine seasonal tuneups. All work has been done perfectly. I have no complaints whatsoever. From the office staff to the technicians all have been courteous, knowledgeable, and skilled in their performance.
Our serviceman Eric was incredibly helpful and thorough. Very neat and respectful of our home as well. Weve had excellent experienceswith Hannabery
Excellent service! Very courteous. Explained everything that needed to be done any how my furnace was performing. Highly recommend!
Great work. They arrived on time and did a good job. Very courteous workers.
Prompt @appointment time, great job
Very good
We have a Hannabery installed HVAC system for the past 10 years. It has always provided great cooling in the summer and heating in the winter. Over the past 10 years we have had the unit / system serviced by their team three times. They have always been on time, courteous, clean, and respectful of our home. Once for a annual service and full system cleaning, and the other two were to replace blower motors (five years apart) that had failed. Just like any other system in your house, it need to be maintained to work as designed.
Always can rely on Hannaberry to check twice a year. Techs are very helpful, friendly and keep our heat pump in good working order. Nice to know we will have heat and air conditioning when we need it.
Great experience from start to finish. Easy to contact, fair pricing, open and honest. I would recommend.
Good sales dept., good service and reliable equipment maintenance. We have a long-term maintenance agreement and it is great. The service staff take a proactive approach and goes the extra mile for customers
Great service and installers were very friendly and knowledgeable, did a great job!
I haven’t had work from them but last night 7/4/19 a little after 11. One of their drivers were driving recklessly and speeding. They almost hit my car, I do have a picture of the license plate and they had a 3 digit sticker on the vehicle with the numbers 361 on it.
Whole house A/C unit was inop heading into a heat wave. Scheduled the appointment and the technician was here promptly the next morning. He quickly diagnosed, replaced a faulty part ( which was covered under warranty ) checked & inspected the rest of the unit. I was fearing the worst with the bill and was pleasantly surprised ALL in 155.50.Tech was very friendly and honest. Stand up company with great people.I recommend Hannabery HVAC!
Since the first phone call to HVAC requesting information about their units, Mr. David James the manager was very helpful and knowledgeable about their products. The installation process of the unit went very smoothly with a group of excellent professionals.
On time for appointments prompt, professional service. Have had them install central air & heat pump about 5-7 yrs ago [removal of a disaster [central air that leaked from the vents, done by a local company] Approx. 5-6 yrs ago. Highly recommend Hannabery.
Excellent service. Their techs are professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. Charles has been maintaining and serving our system since its installation in 2005 and it has continued to function like new due to Charles care and Hannaberys attention.
Very happy with new installation retrofitted into an older home. Neat as a pin - youd think it was put in when the house was built.
We had a new Trane heat pump installed for heat and cooling. Thanks to our great installers, Chris and Phil, for all your hard work and also for spending the week in our HOT attic installing all the ductwork necessary for our system. This was the week of July 2 with outside temps of 100 degrees. They were very hard working, professional, respectful, and cleaned up everything every day. You’d never know there were installers here all day because they cleaned up everything. Great job- thank you!! We appreciate it!!
Hannabery responded promptly and courteously to our heater/furnace problem. The technician was kind, patient, and diligent. He tried fixing the problem, spending almost three hours working on it with no avail. He left with a recommendation to change two parts which would have cost us $700. Having had subpar experiences with many other repair businesses (for a dryer and a water softener on previous occasions) suggesting the same (i.e., replace parts or the unit altogether) without thorough diagnosis or attempt to fix, I decided for a second opinion. I called the authorized dealer for our unit. The guy arrived two days later and diagnosed the problem correctly within 5 minutes, which he fixed by simply blowing briefly into small pipe on the front panel. He didnt even have to use any tools. Just his bare fingers. 5 minutes later our system was back on and working like a clock. Cost: only the first diagnostic visit. Should have called the authorized dealer first time around. Cannot hold this against Hannabery but really easy problems to fix shouldnt so easily be dismissed in favor of replacing parts or the entire unit which ends up costing hundreds or thousands of dollars to consumers. We have become too complacent as a society.
Quality workmanship. Employees really know their jobs. Easy to schedule and they show up when scheduled. Good value.
Highly recommend Hannabery! Theyre great because of folks like Eric, Knox, Joe and office staff who take pride in doing right for their customers.
Hannabery is a great company. I have been using them for over 20 years. Their technician Ivan is wonderful - I highly recommend the company -
I didnt think that disconnecting a hydraulic kinetic tank and switching to the backup heater elements was such a big deal however when I spent approximately two and a half hours watching Jeff and Chris do the work I was amazed a myriad of wires going everywhere of these two gentlemen really knew their stuff did a terrific job and for the price I couldnt be happier
My experience was a rather good one. The two techs that were at my home for the installation did a great job. They were clean and friendly from start to finish. They let me know everything that I needed to know, and answered all the questions that I had. I would recommend your company to any and every one thst asked who I use as a heating specialist..
Very polite and helpful. They also stand by there work and resolved a small mistake on a job for free the same day I called about the issue.
Showed up on time were courtesy professional and finished the work quickly fair price will use them again
Excellent service as always
We had a good experience with Hannabery.
The technician was very informative and extremely neat with his work.
26 years of prompt and courteous service. Couldnt ask for anything more. Even the one emergency call I had to make.
I recently had a gas line installed for a new gas appliance their work was professional, efficient and clean. very satisfied
Had a maintenance service performed and the original Tech. refused to clean my outdoor condenser coil and I already had the hose out and ready to use prior to his arrival. In addition he did not clean my condensate drain. I called Hannebery and they sent a supervisor out and he did a complete maintenance and acknowledged the previous Techs refusal to clean my coil as unacceptable and that it was indeed in need of a cleaning. They did make good on the deficiency. However I was almost made to pay for a contactor that was actually covered under my 10 year parts and labor warranty. They had me entered in their system as 10 years parts and 2 years labor. Thanks to my insisting on my warranty after the original Tech. repedidly telling me I only know what is in the system did he finally contact the office to look up my records. At that time after finding my original agreement did he honor my full warranty. Not good for a customer that. May not understand what they actually paid for. We rely on companies to make sure we are not taken advantage of that our records are entered properly into their systems. Overall Hannabery has redeemed themselves. I thank them for that. In closing the second supervisor Tech. and the female service manager I spoke with were super nice and very helpful.
Came on time and very courteous and professional.Thank you
