First let me say that my wife and I were completely blown away by how clean the whole place is. Waiting Room; like the waiting room of an upscale doctors office, Bathroom; as clean, if not cleaner(dont tell my wife I said this) then our bathroom at home, Shop; organized, tidy & unlike every other shop Ive ever been in I did not feel like I was going to get grease all over my clothes just by walking through it to look at my car. Second, this is the team you want working on your car if you want people who pay attention to detail. Lastly, Kathie was so nice at the front desk and Rob took his time to show me and explain what I needed inside the shop at my car. No one ever does this!!
These people have a geek mechanic.. Lol .. He knows what hes talking about... They even lent me a vehicle.. While they worked on mine.. Gotta luv Miidas on Lehigh Street !!
Joel is the best mechanic and customer service representative! He works at the Midas on Lehigh Street in Allentown, PA. You want the best, he is the star! Ask for Joel he will do the best he can to take care of your automobile needs! Thank you Joel👍
Great experience with manager Rob and front desk service manager Kathie! They are truly honest and helped me during an out of town emergency. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thanks again for being so nice to me! 😊
Always very thorough. Excellent service, professional staff. Very good listeners. Pristine waiting area. Highly recommend.
Great Shop(Now)! This shop has been through quite a few management changes over the past few years. The service has been up and down. Fortunately, they seem to have hit a wonderful stride with the current manager. I think they are definitely on a terrific path.
This is an awesome location, staff was friendly, helped me out and was extremely positive. Will definitely go again!
Very grateful for the generous men who stayed past closing to help us make a unexpected repair. They went the extra mile to ensure safety and helped us get back on the road during a road trip.
Place is professional, waiting area is really comfortable, they are upfront, and they make a repair its a repair they never messed up on my car.
Everyone hates going to the mechanic, especially me. I always feel I could be taken advantage of and what would I know, Im a chef. I came to this Midas off of the recommendation of a waitress from my restaurant. She said she had an issue at a dealership and took her car here and had an interaction with the store manager Rob who not only helped her but explained things the way she could understand. She said she walked out feeling like she wasnt being taken advantage of and felt like she was really informed. I wasnt sure if any mechanic shop was as wonderful as she was making this one out to be but I figured if jt was half as good as she said it would still be better then the last place I went. As soon as I got here (unfortunately they were closing very very soon) I asked for this Manager she spoke about named Rob and he came out and talked to me like a normal person. He explained that what I was asking to be done was going to take a few hours and his guys we r e getting ready to go home for the day. I told him of my crazy schedule and I guess he could see the disappointment in my face because he offered to say, by himself, and do the work on my car. I was so surprised, what a kind gesture. Well needless to say, he did a terrific job and also gained a customer for life! I never leave reviews but I was telling someone of this experience and they asked if i left a review online and when I said no he told me that at the RX he works at reviews are really important for them so I figured since they went out of the way to make sure Im safe on the raod i can take the time to write a review.
Great work and great prices and only tells you whats wrong with the vehicle not like the other mechanics just tell you anything just to get your money and a very clean waiting area with tv
Quick service, In a pinch.
DO NOT TAKE your vehicle here I came in for a simple oil change with a Subaru ‘17 and they tried to change my whole oil pan tried to tell me that drain plug was done for and that If he took it out he’ll have to break it open so I had to bring it back where I originally change the oil of the car and showed the damage they did to the oil Pan and filter. Dude even I know you don’t to use any tool to remove a filter on a Subaru you tool or you’re a rookie thanks for denting the oil Pan you should pay for it
Great employees with fantastic friendly attitudes.
Got a 95 Bronco that Jack Williams said needed “basically the entire exhaust system replaced, engine back”. So I took it to Midas to get a quote and see what they thought since they’re close. So once I’m there, eventually I see them pull my truck onto the lift, and after a little while the guy comes and gets me to follow him into the garage to look under the truck. So before saying anything else, the guy says something like “alright, so, what are you thinking needs work?” Didn’t think much of it and I made the mistake of just telling him what Jack Williams told me, which was that I think basically the whole exhaust system might need to be replaced. So right there the dude’s eyes must’ve turned into big dollar signs and he ends up writing me an estimate for almost $3000. Custom fabricated y pipe, two catalytic converters, top of the line muffler, and two exhaust manifolds. Basically, he would’ve just replaced every component of the entire exhaust system, engine-back, and charged me a fortune for doing it. I figured hey the truck’s pretty old, maybe parts are hard to come by these days, particularly the Y pipe, not a whole lot of companies make those anymore. Long story short I ended up taking it to some small local (not for me lol) business in Fleetwood. First thing the guy says before he even gets under the truck is “$3000?! What are they rebuilding your transmission too? Let me take a look at it.” Dude gets under it and says everything between the engine and the muffler (95% of what makes up an exhaust system) is fine, the only thing that needs work is the tailpipes, which rotted off the end of the muffler, and this only fails inspection because technically the fumes could enter the cab since they’re not carried far enough away. The entire exhaust system still worked perfectly fine, it just ended after the muffler instead of after the tailpipes. Can you believe that? The muffler didn’t even need to be replaced, it just needed some welding.AND, the icing on the cake? He wrote me up an estimate to actually replace the entire exhaust system in case I actually wanted to do that, but basically for sh*ts and giggles. Guess how much that estimate was? $925. For the entire exhaust system. Midas would’ve charged me $3000.Tldr: Moral of the story, don’t tell them what you think needs replaced. They will just replace it without a care in the world for whether it actually needs replacing or not. Or better yet, find a local shop near you and get it done there instead. Most of these large chains are just a lost cause at this point, they’re basically structured around trying to rip you off, even though the fancy text on the wall in the waiting room says otherwise(Oh also turns out my local Jack Williams just didn’t really know what they were talking about haha. They don’t do any of the work themselves that they said I needed so I don’t think they were trying to rip me off they were just mistaken about several things lol)
I brought in my VW Jetta in for an inspection and oil change and I later got a call that my motor mounts had gone bad and needed to be replaced and I needed four new tires due to nails in the tires. I thought I would get a second opinion and took it to another shop and was told nothing was wrong with it except there were nails in a couple tires so all we needed to do was get two tires replaced. Midas told me I had $2000 worth of work that needed to be done but I later found out at the second shop that it would only run $600. I have heard similar stories about nails and tires from the same location from two other people and last year we brought our VW punch bug to Midas and we were told the same thing that we had nails in the tires and bad motor mounts but we did not think anything of it and just paid the $2000. I do not recommend this shop and will not tell anyone but all that I’m going to say is check your tires for nails before you drop your car off if you do decide to use them.
Great Experience at this Midas location. The staff definitely goes out of there way to ensure your complete satisfaction. The manager took the time to explain what to me what was being done to my car and use language that I understood. I even recommend that my mom take her car here and she was also very happy with the service. THANKS GUYS!!
I took my car to this place to change the cars oil! And they CHANGED IT AND LEFT THE CAP OFF. spilling the oil all over the ENGINE, ALTERNATOR. Which caused my car to shut off and i had to fix it for so much money. I contacted them and spoke to the manager and he said “ I am very sorry sir there is nothing I can do for you ” when told about the incident and only offered to clean the car and THAT IS IT. THESE PEOPLE DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AND ILL BE FILING FOR A LAWSUIT.
Took my car in to get repaired spent $2000 less than an hour after I left the shop my car completely stopped. They told me I needed a new engine- wouldn’t give a refund instead wanted to have them fix it and play them another $3200. If knew it needed a new engine I would of just bought a new car a s not waste $2000.
Great place to have your car serviced. Trustworthy and affordable. Much better than the dealerships.
This shop is run smoothly and efficiently. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. It is also very clean for a mechanic shop. A shop i used previously left grease on my new seats and floor mats so I was very happy that this shop took precautions to ensure my car stayed clean. The manager was hands on and not just standing around like I have seen in other shops.
I brought my car here because my usual mechanic couldnt fit me in for days. I was a little skeptical because I had a prior bad experience at a chain mechanic. The gentleman that helped me, Rob was extremely professional and polite. He took all the time I needed to make sure I understood what was wrong wrong with my car and what needed to be done to repair it. I never felt like I was being talked down to or like he was taking advantage of me. The work was done quickly and at a good price. I would highly recommend this shop, I will definitely be a long term customer. Ask for Rob, he will take good care of you!!!
One of the better mechanics around. I only started to use them recently but it was such a good experience that I have been back a few times. The guys there definitely know there stuff and the manager Rob is top notch.
If I could give 0 stars I would! Do not take your car here!! I have been going to Midas for general repairs and oil changes for about 2 years and even referred a few friends there for simple oil changes. I had thought a few times things were overpriced or possibly not needed but I trusted in the business and tried to tell myself I didn’t know enough about cars to know if what was happening was a fair price and practice.Anyhow, I had gone there today with a coolant leak and was hopeful they would just be honest with me and not take advantage of me. They came out with an estimate for almost 2k and I was beside myself. I asked them if there was anything I could do for the time being and if everything truly needed to be repaired at this moment. I went on to tell them that I’m on a fixed income as a single mom and they still made me believe there were no other options. I walked outside and called Pranzo’s in Emmaus and explained my situation and I was told it sounded like a radiator and they agreed to fix my car for a 1/3 of the cost!!! I went back Into Midas to tell them my car would be towed and I was exploring other options. As I tried to leave the mechanic then finally asked if I just wanted to fix the radiator and that maybe down the road I would worry about other items all while still Instilling this sense of fear in me that I was making a bad choice. I took my chances and went to Pranzo’s. Turned out, ALL I NEEDED was a radiator!! Shame on you Midas for how you treat people and your unethical practices and lies. I am beyond disgusted with your business, and I hope someone reads this and steers clear of you. Save yourself the headaches, go to pranzo’s if you live in the emmaus/Allentown area.
Pretty good place they always trying to help but dont have the things I need to get fixed
Installed a rear valance and made a true dual exhaust for my 2013 Audi A4. They were professional and had great customer service.
Hands down the best repair shop around! I had been to this shop previously and the work was ok but the customer service was pretty bad. I dont remember the old managers name but he wasnt great, he spoke to me as though he was doing me a favor by fixing my car. It was a huge turn off.. I went back last week and was happy to see a new manager. His name was Rob and he went above and beyond to help me and make sure I was happy, he even stayed a bit late to make sure my car was finished. I was really happy with the work done and the customer service. I dont usually leave reviews but I thought this was worth reviewing.
Great customer service. They take care of their customer.
This is my new shop for my auto repair no longer am I going to%#@&stone For my auto needs too much drama
I called for pricing on catalytic converter for my 2016 Jeep and they wanted me to come in for a free diagnosis on there machine super helpful and nice everywhere I have been here in Pennsylvania the people are really nice and offer great service!
Welded my trailer when no where else could. very fast service as well
I always have a great experience at this location. We have three cars and I wouldnt take them anywhere else. James and the entire crew are real professionals and make car maintenance easy. They go above and beyond to explain things and offer options so i can make an educated decision. I recommend them highly and will keep coming back.
I broke down while traveling and they fixed the problem earlier than promised. Joel and Derrick thanks
Fair price and good fix. Another shop wants to replace the entire catalytic converter for $800 on a 2003 Lexus ES300. Midas cut out the leaky flex pipe and welded on a new one with 12k mile warranty. No more exhaust noise when accelerating. Thanks Midas on Lehigh street! We come again for all my car repair needs.
Been going there for years. The guys are great!
$100 before tax just to mount and balance my tires? No thank you. Maybe they have good service but at those prices, im not willing to even try. Fair pricing my butt.
I want to say thank you to Andrew, Nick and everyone at this Midas location for taking such great care of us! About 7 hours into a 8.5 hour trip I pulled off in Allentown for a short stop and immediately lost power steering. I asked around and someone said these guys would take care of me. They sure did. I was traveling with 2 adults, 2 dogs and a cat on a warm muggy day and was quite anxious about what to do with my little zoo. They took us in and made us feel welcome. All along the way they let me know what was going on and answered all my questions. Due to a manufacturers defect my replacement pump needed to be replaced and they stayed over an hour after closing to get us back together and on the road. In all this they noticed I had a leak in my radiator but due to the late hour I decided to keep an eye on the temp and chance it. The manager was so kind to call make sure I had made it to my destination safely. My only regret is that these guys are not in Buffalo or I would take my car to them for anything!!! Thank you guys for taking such great care of us!!!
Great service, completed work as promised with excellent communication about parts and work status. Didnt push work beyond what was needed. Well run shop.
I stopped in without an appointment to see if my brakes could be replaced. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and professional, and I believe the price I was charged was reasonable. I would definitely take my vehicle there again.
Took my vehicle in for an inspection and oil change. The staff was quick and courteous when I arrived. The inspection itself did not take long and even though Mark identified a few items that needed to be fixed before my vehicle passed he took the time in order to show me what the issues were. The store only had a few hours before it closed but Mark promised it would be done before they closed at 3. My vehicle was done and I was on my way as Mark had promised. I definitely recommend this place to anyone in the Lehigh Valley. The staff is intelligent and honest. I have the confidence the staff isnt just paying me lip service to get get a buck with issues. Prices are fair and the quality of work is stellar.
I am a new driver and brought my car in for my first oil change and courtesy check in it. The guy was super helpful and straightforward. The change took about 45-60 minutes and at one point, the guy called me up and said that the one axle was leaking fluid and that at any given point the axle could either lock up and seize, or just completely snap. To any new young driver, this is very concerning. He then told me this needed to be fixed ASAP, and had already printed up a paper that showed the cost of labor and the part that I “needed.” He then showed me this after explaining and asked if I wanted to schedule today. Luckily, I had been warned that people try to scam you for these things, so I let a family friend check it out before I scheduled any appointment to fix it. Nothing was wrong or nearly as concerning as he made it sound. Thankfully, I saved $300 that I didn’t even have to spend.
2nd time i made an appt. for service and they had no idea I was coming in..... Call center is terrible
My car had a rough idle issue and I wasn’t sure to take it here but I had no choice and I’ll say I’mVery glad I did cause now only did they take me in they diagnose the problem and gave meMy options without the hard sell that you usually getFrom mechanic shops. They fixed my main issue and then gave me a heads up on other services my vehicle needs and that they can be addressed in stages. I really appreciate how they treated me there and the manager Mark really seemed genuine and made things easy for me to understand. Next time I’m in town and need work I’ll definitely come back. Thanks again Mark and crew my family appreciates it 👍🏾
I absolutely loved the service.
I called a week in advance to set up an appointment for a routine car inspection where I was to drop off my car at 2pm to pick it up the following morning at 7:30am so I could have it for work (first time I let them Know it had to be done by 7:30). The day of I called them before I dropped it off to ask if anyone is there earlier than 7:30 so I can get my car earlier. They said 7:30 is the earliest (no problem thought Id ask, but this is the second time I made it clear I needed it by 7:30). I arrived before 2 to drop off my car. The mechanic asked if I needed it done by a certain time. I said yes, by 7:30 (third time and in response to the question they asked!). I arrive the next morning, its not done. The manager, said it would be done shortly, so NOT done but oh well, it wont kill me to wait a few minutes..... I didnt leave for an hour and a half. I have a half hour commute. This caused me to miss 2 hours of work. No money off or free oil change, or general compensation for having to wait. I guess they had coffee made, so there ya go.... I really dont know if anything else needs to be said.... I guess, the manager seemed like a nice guy.
On February 4th I dropped my wife’s car off at Midas on Lehigh Street for an inspection. On the evening of the 5th I went to the store right before closing and paid for the inspection. The Midas employee backed the car out of the garage and had it running for me. I took a left out of the parking lot made it about 300 meters away from the shop and the front left wheel flew off the car and hit one of Scott Chevys loaner cars. The shop never put the lugs back on the wheel. I immediately called the police and Midas. Midas came and took my beat up car back to the shop and said they would fix everything. It turns out their insurance company totaled the car. We are getting way below book value for the car. Midas didn’t offer a rental at all after destroying our car. The car had brand new tires and I asked for some kind of tire voucher and they refused. The entire experience was terrible. Do not go to Midas for anything.
Best service Ive gotten at a Midas in the lehigh/ Northampton area. Would definitely come back for maintence when needed.
This was my first time here and I am very pleased with the service that was provided! Andrew walked me through everything that needed to be done to my vehicle and didnt lie to me or try to swindle me! I will always come back here! A big THANK YOU to all at MIDAS today who worked on my van! :)
My engine died. Lehigh Street Midas was fantastic in helping to replace it, and lent me a car for a week (free of charge) for me to scoot around on in the meanwhile. When my AC started acting up post-repair, they were happy to fix it on the house. The manager (Andrew) is always wonderful, courteous, and does a fine job of making you feel like more than just a customer. They even took the time to explain to me what was going on with my car rather than trying to rip me off as some mechanics will do, especially to young women. Lehigh Street Midas stands out in my book as a business with integrity, professionalism, and respect for their customers.
Just literally left this place from getting my oil change and engine filter replaced no appointment was able to use my coupon they took my car in right away was done quick great job and great customer service thanks guys at Midas 2 thumbs up will always be a customer from now on
Competitive prices and good service.
Went in to get my oem muffler put back on after I cut it off months before. I got charged $240 for a job that took 24 minutes from the time they pulled it it in, to the time I drove out of the lot. They labor charge was for 1.5 hour, and when asked why the response was he’s been doing it for a while so he flew through it faster than expected. Terrible service and weld looks like a tech student in his first month of school.
Derek, Dakota, and Patrick were great. Outstanding customer service and had no problem completing all my tasks I asked for
It was great real quick and cheap
Staff is always helpful and informative. Always on time when you have an appointment. Good prices.
They tried to rip me off. Not honest or even nice people. Stay clear of them if your smart.
The young mechanics are incompetent; couldnt press in wheel bearings without damaging the spindle/wheel hub assembly even with the knuckles off the car!. The old man on the counter Joel states I dont like to get dirty with other peoples cars, I only work on mine Take a look at his spotless jacket. The young supervisor of the shop states I cant guarantee any of my guys work they perform on a customer supplied part/ car. In other words, your screwed if their work isnt to par, they wont warranty it....Ill do all my car servicing from now on. Lost a customer here!
Greedy and dishonest! stay away.Went there for state inspection, guy came out with over $600 estimate. i felt something wasnt right and went to other place and got my inspection done without replacing any part of my car. make sure to double check with other shop....
Great prices and great staff. Helped me with my door that would not open for anything.
Nice people easy to tow to
I have always taken my car to mark at midas ! There no one I would trust more than him with my car care ! All the staff is always kind, quick and very informative. I recommend this place to all !
The boys as Midas always have been honest and do an excellent job every time. I have never had a problem. Only wish I didnt live an hour away.Shoot, Id still take that drive for service like that!
Great service here will always have my oil changed at Midas
Kevin the owner one of the best. Customer service and satisfaction are his goals. Goes above and beyond what anyone would ever expect
Great work at an affordable price, all techs were friendly and willing to help!! I bring all 3 of my cars here and will definitely keep coming back for future work!
I needed an exhaust welded today in a hurry. Gave them a call and they got me in. Gave me a great price and were extremely personable!
Got me in quickly and great service! My favorite oil change place.
I got my brakes and exhaust worked on here recently - the staff was courteous, they were understanding with price, and kept my vehicle going smoothly, they did a fine job.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would, terrible customer service; the mechanics are inexperienced, there is a lack of teamwork on the shop floor. Business is slow because consumers are opening their eyes and performing the maintenance on their own cars for half the price!
Dont go here. All they do is lie to get your money. They tried telling me I needed a head gasket done for 1300 dollars, when I went in for a 20 dollar oil change coupon not knowing I replaced that a month prior. Also, they have recently lied to my mom saying she also needed a head gasket when all it was, was a clogged radiator which was replaced and runs like a beauty now. Shops like these are only for dumb rich people who dont have any idea what theyre doing with a car
Excellent service, great attitude!!!I all ways get my car fixed here. they all ways takes care of my vehicle and me.
I took my Hyundai Elantra for an alignment and as soon as I drove off with the vehicle I noticed the steering wheel was centered like it should it was slightly towards the right between 12-1 if looking at a clock but I let go of it and the vehicle drove straight so I didnt mind taking it back right away like I should of but about a month and a week later the vehicle started to steer towards the right and I decided to call them to complain about it so they scheduled me for a free alignment check, took it back and they said that the reason was because the ball joints were bad which I know for a fact it wasnt true since Im a mechanic and I knew the condition of the vehicle they just didnt want to do it again and obviously they dont offer any warranty on their wheel alignments . The vehicle was only driven about 3 times during that time period only to keep the battery from draining due to the cold weather so its not like it was driven daily.. Another thing is that the guy told me that their mechanics would never let a vehicle leave with the steering wheel not centered so he was treating me like if I was a liar!
I brought my Acura MDX 2003 for state inspection. They gave me list of things to do, which I paid but the new tires were mounted incorrectly, I had to come back to get those right, I declined tire warranty but they charged me, I pointed out and now they are saying I will get the check in mail after 12days, if not I will have to call Amex. They also charged me for a small light bulb which was not replaced, when I pointed out they refunded me the charged amount. So folks go there but please check the listed work they seems to rush and forget some of the work which you have already paid for. I will try them one more time if the trend continues I am moving on.
My wife and I have been taking a 2001 Saturn that was reconstructed to this place for as long as we have lived in the Lehigh Valley. Suffice to say, there was always plenty of work to be done on this car every year come inspection time.Midas, their manager (Andrew) and their staff were always very helpful and knowledgeable about the repairs that needed to be done and upfront about the costs to be expected, which always stayed competitive with the market without sacrificing on quality. If you need a good expert opinion for your car, this is a well-run shop with tons of expertise.
I had a Jeep for 10 years and I remember taking the car in there for the first time. I was a little nervous because it was my first SUV and I got it at a buy here pay here place. The manager took me for a test drive. Showing me how everything worked and make sure that the car was in good condition. I have relied on them for over 10 years to take care of my cars. I now have a KIA Sorrento and it is the same attention to detail that keeps me coming back. When I first got the car there were a few exhaust issues but the car was under warranty. Midas said no problem. They still checked and told me what was wrong so that I could take that information to the place that I got the car and have them fix it right and then Midas inspected the repairs for me. They didnt even charge me. They were like for what 15 minutes to take a look. That is what a good relationship with your mechanic feels like. I tried taking the Jeep one time to the Midas on Union Blvd (it was closer to my work at the time) for a oil change. I left there in tears thinking that I had done something wrong to the Jeep. I took it to Lehigh St (my home) that Saturday and showed them the receipt and explained what happened. They redid the oil change and double checked everything. Lehigh St is My Midas. They are my and my cars family. They tell you what you need today, what you will need in three months, and what to plan on needing in the future. They really do try and help their customers and explain things in a way that you dont feel like you are being talked down to and they dont over charge you or make something up just to get more money out of your pocket. They work with you because they understand. So let My Midas become Your Midas and try them today.
Was told exhaust system was covered under warranty. When I showed up the story changed and only the muffler is covered. All the pipe they installed 2 years ago is rusty. Came for a warranty repair but I have to pay for a tail pipe a hanger that rusted and clamps. Approx $180.00. Not coming back again.
Very cleaned and friendly service
Not happy with my results
I waited 2.5 hours to get my alignment REdone after they supposedly aligned my brand new tires one week prior. When I finally got back in my car after they test drove it, it reeked of cigarette, they had left the window down in the rain, and turned the volume on my car speakers up to max. I don’t know what I did to deserve this considering I just paid $1300 to these people and had to waste half a day getting something redone that should have been done in the first place when I paid for the service. The people who work here are incompetent, and apparently jerks.
Advertised ads are dishonest. That 39.99 State Inspection & Emissions became $53+ once I checked in. Went elsewhere and got it all done including sticker for $35....Glad I chose to leave vs being taken advantage of. Shame on Midas.
I Made an appointment for an oil change at 945am showed up for it on time. When I got there an employee laughed told me it was a 2 1/2 hour wait . What was the point of the appointment... I dont recommend this location
Knowledgeable, efficient, respectful and courteous.
Great service and people
Good quick service at a reasonable price for an oil change.
Service was really quick and very helpful
Dont visit this place they had be saying me that my car had issues that it doesnt, just to earn money away from customers. Last time I went they said my car wont last for a week and make sign a paper to responsible for what ever happen to my car and my car had no issues and being runing with no problem since then. That was on February is April and My car is with no issues and running with no problem. They give and invoice for almost 900. 00 Dollars. I made a complain and they are just avoiding and not taking responsibility. They said a AAA employee will contact me and the only thing he had said is that it just a difference of option on mechanic, they just dont want to take esponsibility for these employes taking money away from customers thrue repairs thats not needed...
Great service, Great pricing.
Went there for the Midas brand - Not a good experience. Took my car for a brake replacement. They were supposed to check all brakes to ascertain the need to replace (had a coupon of free brake check). They replaced the front brakes - without looking at the rear ones (the front brakes were fine, rear ones need replacement). Also, they did NOT inform me that the rotors need resurfacing. You are the ones checking the brakes ... cant you tell which ones to replace and isnt it your responsibility to let me know about the rotors resurfacing!! When asked about it they just outright denied (lied) issue on their side and claim that they informed on phone. This is the worst experience I had in the 20 years that I kept a car. Will never go to this place or Midas again.
Went in for an oil change. They have the coupon online for $20 oil change, so I take advantage of that price since its offered. Cant say much about the actual service to the car because I assume everything is done correctly. I was told some things need to be replaced like tires, air filter and brakes. Nothing extraordinary, which is not a total surprise to me. I denied services on these things because I like going to the car dealership I got the car from to get anything like that fixed or replaced. Its just a preference I have. I simply just wanted an oil change. I go to check out and pay. The guy who checks me out checked me out the last time I was there. Last experience was fine. Got the oil change and thats it. Friendly chit chat after I paid about my Tile on my keys explaining to him its a tracker for my keys and phone since he asked. Mentioned the batteries were dying and I didnt know how to replace it. He proceeds to pop up a YouTube video on how to fix it. It was a fun, friendly interaction beyond what I was expecting, which was nice. But this time when I went to pay, he seemed somewhat cold towards me. I tried to lighten the mood and asked him about his injury because I saw him with a crutch. I figured it wasnt a terribly invasive question and being that we had a friendly interaction the last time, I didnt think anything of it. He said Im not at liberty to talk about it while Im on the clock, plus were not close of friends. Im thinking, no were obviously not friends, but Im a customer who you should be courteous to and Im just trying to make friendly conversation based on an obvious observation. I said, I hope it gets better. He said It will. At this point Im thinking what did I do to get such a cold response from him this time around? Was it because I didnt get anything done that was recommended? If so, thats none of his business to judge nor be upset about because its my choice and its not my fault there are coupons available for discounted oil changes. Even if that was not the reason and it was something else, customer service should be friendly and courteous no matter what. Trust me, Im a dental hygienist, Im just as much in the customer service business as they are and when I interact with patients I put any agitation aside (whether personal or patient related) to SERVE the patient. To create an enjoyable experience and tell them what needs to be done in order to keep their mouth healthy and disease free. If they deny services needed to correct oral issues, I dont treat them any differently afterwards. That is their choice. I am there to inform, care, educate and treat them with respect. At my job we have a coupon as well as an incentive to get people through the door to open opportunities for them to get examinated and treated. If they only want the coupon despite other things we offer and despite other things they need... guess what...we fulfill that coupon and do it with the utmost care, professionalism and respect. And that is what was lacking today. And that is what will keep me from ever going there again.
Courteous staff and the bathroom is pretty clean.
Went in for tire check. They assured me I needed a new tire. (Not repairable) my sense was these guys are skevy so I left. Went elsewhere and received a patch.Stay away crooks!!!
