Unethical company. Lots of expectations with little training and too many sources/hands in the pot that all have different takes on the way things should be done-- which creates constant error while trying to make decisions.Doesnt treat the elderly AARP members fairly. They change auto mileage without consent and changes that are too confusing for the elderly to comprehend over the phone, this is why they keep calling back about the same thing every day and creates the unnecessary call volume. Also, truelane and online shouldnt be forced down peoples throats that cant even comprehend a billing statement we generate and send. Most recently they left no paper trail for billing/the covid-19 pay back plan.. where insureds were getting 15% back for a few months due to the pandemic. This whole time they have lead 85% of customers to believe they are saving money by offering a rebate due to not driving. Employees/customers can not request to lower mileage because working remote permenantly is not a valid lifestyle change.. but then on some policies they are re-adjusting annual mileage to be higher!--resulting in highter premium (and not sending paper documents) which basically wipes out the 15% covid credit.. which is also trickory and unethical. I started doing math and asking questions to underwritting when things werent adding up with the overwhelming billing calls.. The conversations we were told to have with the customers regarding this increase seemed to be blamed on a rate increase for renewal. How can there be an increase if most of these people are driving less? Retired? Working from home? Before I could even ask about this unsettling find I was fired! (For reducing annual mileage in favor for a customer).I enjoyed working at the Hartford, but for a company that states they are all about customer interaction and bettering the experience, this is certainly not the right steps to take.
This is a call center. I work here. Its not an agency where you can walk in and buy a policy. I am rating it 5 stars because I like my job and the building is nice. They are good about removing snow from the parking lot
Got hung up on, called back, and representative was rude.
Loved talking with the members all over the country. Plus the best place to work for 2016.
I had grilled chicken
The best place Ive ever worked and Ive been working since I was 15!! Lol
THE WORST PLACE TO EVER WORK FOR!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND DO NOT GET YOUR AUTO INSURANCE OR ANYTHING FROM THEM!!! I The Hartford WILL terminate YOU based off of performance because THEY ARE NOT ethical. I WORKED FOR THEM!!The Hartford has been raising peoples mileage without any consent of the policy holder. The Hartford will increase mileage from 2,000-10,000 a year without NO reason and when the customer calls in they want us to LIE to the customer and tell them it was based off of a state wide increase NOT because of mileage. I was terminated because I told a 78 year old woman who lives on 700$ a month her rates went up because her mileage went from 2k-10k a year and her rates increased by 234$ a year! The Hartford has told all their employees we CANNOT tell them it was based off of mileage we have to say a state wide increase and this is UN ETHICAL AND LYING. DO NOT WORK THERE AND TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!!
Worst place to work ever
