I have been contemplating writing this review for two years but as I read the existing reviews and the consistent inability to take responsibility and blame the customer for any action that goes wrong with her business I could not sit back and watch it continue.First - we no longer use her service, my story is from the previous two years. For both years we submitted our paperwork months before the tax deadlines and in both years 2019 & 2020 our taxes were emailed on deadline - NEVER AHEAD OF TIME! In 2020 we were actually emailed our taxes with a video and they were incorrect! Useless video.When I tried to speak with the owner, she had given everyone the day off and no one answered the phone. Well, needless to say we were panicked because we knew we would now be one day late. Finally after going back and forth with voicemails with an office person who was not qualified to answer my questions, we get a call back from the owner who proceeds to embarrass me due to her offices incompetence. To this day we have never received a revised corrected version. Not to mention we paid 7x more than we do now! It appears the only reason there are good ratings/reviews are due to longtime local residents who have used her services. Beware. Find a better skilled more updated accountant who will actually respond and care about her clients.We found another accountant locally and couldnt be happier. She will never own up to her faults. Look at her responses to reviews.

A friend recommended Paula Field, CPA to help me find out why I never got my 2019 tax refund. Paula and her staff contacted the IRS, which I was never able to do,and they said they never received it. Pauls associate asked me some questions in order to refile the return and went ahead and did the same for 2020 return. I had sold my home in 2020 and bought a new one and was thankful for Paulas expertise. Now instead of trying to do the impossible myself, I will be receiving two good sized refunds and can finally breathe a sigh of relief!

So I called this office and the receptionist took my info and I specifically mentioned that we need a CPA who understands day trading accounting method as this is different than filing a regular business tax return. The Business Manager called me back and asked how can they help...I repeated the same information and told her I have been with my CPA for over 15 years and he advised to find a specialist in this field. This Business Manager (and I cant remember her name at the moment) proceeded to tell me does he know how to Google it! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? YES I WANT SOMEONE TO GOOGLE HOW TO FILE A MARK-TO-MARKET FILING. THIS IS THE IRS!!!! I proceeded to tell her I have Google it and it is very detailed; she said they would need a 40 minute consultation and it would be $450 for them to tell me how to file the form.....Ill GOOGLE IT myself since that is your method.SO RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL WHEN YOU HAVE CALLER WHO CAN BE A NEW CLIENT!!!!

Thanks again to Paula Field and team for the updates and educational emails on tax stuff! You guys are like my cell phone - Im dead in the water without either of you! :-)

UNPROFESSIONAL and OVERPRICEDThis is my experience and why I chose not to do business with Paula CPA and would not recommend them.I was in search of a CPA because I received a notice from the Texas Comptroller saying I owed an estimate of 1,000$ on my LLC’s taxes.I called Paula CPA several times to get more information about their services and was told Sandra would call me. More than a week goes by and I receive a voicemail from Sandra.After discussing my situation she explained to me I have to close out my LLC otherwise I will continue to receive fees from the Texas Comptroller. This would cost me at least 500$ + additional fees for backed taxes and filing my taxes. They were looking to charge me 1,500 to 2,000 to do business.After our conversation I called the Texas Comptroller and explained to them my situation. They explained to me to that I owed 50$ and that’s because I didn’t file my taxes for the LLC. Had I filed my taxes for the LLC I would not have paid a dime because my business didn’t exceed a certain dollar amount in revenue.Although the staff was very friendly and easy to talk to, in conclusion I found my conversation with Paula CPA unprofessional and overpriced.

I was so impressed by the professionalism and friendly experience I encountered when visiting yesterday. I have already shared my experience with 3 Family Members since yesterday and will ensure they visit to use their Services. Thank you Paula, Sandra and Abraham for being so kind and welcoming to me. Sharing the facts1 - Hoping to find a CPA in the area. Asked around and utilize online reviews. Initial meeting was good. However, I made a mistake2 - Emailed two emails. One to the accountant, another to the owner about 10 days and a week ago. Still waiting for a reply3 - Received an email notification taxes were completed with a nearly $1,000 bill. It appears there is a video included in the link. Interesting no phone call, review, discussion, etc.4 - My mistake was not to inquire a bit further. Surprised paying around 250% more than my previous CPA (same 1040 as last year)You can take this review as an outlier, or perhaps a representation of the service. Interesting approach and service.

Paula Field and her team helped me in my executor duties of my mothers estate with expert guidance and knowledge. I am still utilizing their services and highly recommend them to anyone in need of tax and accounting help.
